Genesis Health Clubs - 84th & Q Street

Fantastic experience: Gym is nice i go the to 132nd or 84Q facility never been to midtown. Staff is very nice and facility is clean. I would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this fitness club for about 2 months. It's changing my life and it's because of my personal trainer Cooper. I'm in my mid 60's, all to say, it's never to late to start! Best decision. I can't say enough about Cooper. He's smart, knows what he's doing, encouraging and motivating. I highly recommend this gym and Cooper. Thank you Cooper!

Fantastic experience: Don't sleep on this location or get caught up on those who are upset that Genesis made innovations when it purchased the property. I've been a huge fan of Genesis for years, and the leadership doesn't settle for subpar experiences. I've also been waiting to write this review until the entire project was done, but as it's nearing, I wanted to share. As far as a gym goes, this is going to have everything you need or want. Multiple power racks, multiple benches, a massive wall of dumbbells, perhaps the world's largest cable crossover setup (don't call Guiness about it, just a guess) a running track, assault treadmills, assault bikes, a turf area, a cardio area, one amazing pool. Shoot, I haven't even touched the spots that aren't done—rooms for fitness classes, the basketball courts, etc. The locker rooms are also going to be spectacular with custom combination locks, ample space to change, and in-locker room saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs. I know this is a long review, and probably reads like someone who works for the company (spoilers: I don't.) I took the time to write this because I am excited for this spot, and I don't want the nay-sayers or those who are clinging to the old gym to distract you from joining. Genesis leadership is great, and this location is going to be a huge addition to the area. EDIT: There is a difference between working out and training. I wanted to edit my review since having used a trainer. Cooper Todd is an amazing and experienced young man who knows his stuff. He didn't waste the hour with chatting, but filled it with needed training and useful tips and expertise. If you want to take your workout to another level, I'd recommend a trainer. If you want a trainer, I recommend Cooper.

Fantastic experience: This club is going to look amazing. Also, all the clowns posting about the renovation are the same ones that complain about the place being old. They’ll complain when everything is new, and aren’t worth listening to. There are several other locations to go to. They are just sad old people! Excited to see the new renovations !

Fantastic experience: Hey Ladies and Gentlemen, If you are looking for the best gym to come to please give a 1 hour out of your day to stop by 84th and Q Genesis. Katy and Maggy hold down the front desk going above and beyond with there customer service. The entire staff from in the back to the help service desk are absolutely amazing. I love coming here my three days out the week. Great Facility. Great Towels. And got some good food choices with healthy snacks. So if you want a gym to call home just call 84th and Qs Genesis.

Fantastic experience: This club has lots of classes that are free with membership. This club is undergoing a massive renovation right now but offers indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball, basketball, yoga, and lots of other programs.

Fantastic experience: They have the best indoor track out of all the Genesis. As a "Day gym goer", it's nice because everyone has their own routine so plenty of space and the equipment you need is always available for use. Also they are updating the gym and putting in some turf. So if your an athlete this should be your go to gym once that gets put in and if you need help getting in shape. I recommend every one get a trainer to help accomplish all fitness goals. *Weight loss/building muscle/increasing strength/Improving athletic ability/ motivation/ fixing Imbalances*anything fitness related, it's worth $ to invest in yourself.

Fantastic experience: I love it here. Staff are very friendly and I can always get a lane at the pool to swim. I used to go to 132 &Center but was disappointed with overcrowding, especially at the pool.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great. I have been going to it for 3 years now. Always friendly staff. Their daycare is great also. They do arts and crafts with the kids and take them into the gymnasium for excersise from time to time. The machines are always working. They have a person that comes around and cleans all the time.

Fantastic experience: I love that this gym is never super busy when I go. I always see at least one person cleaning either machines or locker rooms or both and that gives me peace of mind that cleanliness is important to them.

Fantastic experience: This place is HUGE! Well worth the monthly fee. Tons of cardio and weight equipment, fresh towels, a big shower room, studios for different exercises, a gym, a pool, and even a juice bar.

Fantastic experience: this place is great it is also big it has 2 pools has hot tubs and a lot of equipment it's a great place nothing bad about it I do prefer the 1 in Midtown crossing cause it is closer to me but both places are phenomenal and the staff are too

Fantastic experience: Always clean, great pool, racquetball courts, sauna, and steam room. I've never tried the fitness classes, so I don't know anything about those, but PLF is a nice gym with a decent selection of equipment.
