Fantastic experience: Dropped in for an open mat while I was in town for Thanksgiving. Jason was very welcoming, along with everyone else on the mat. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending Bushido for their fit/kick (fitness and kickboxing) classes for a couple of years. It’s a great workout that will improve your fitness level in days. But it’s the staff and the camaraderie that keep me going back. Get fit AND have fun…you can’t beat that combination!!

Fantastic experience: My kids started jiu-jitsu at Bushido in the homeschool class nearly two years ago. They have both gained confidence and a life-long sport. The community we've become a part of and the friends we've met through Bushido are a huge value as well!

Fantastic experience: We are a big homeschooling family. We were looking for something to help as a physical education as well as to help teach our kids to manage aggressive behavior. My kiddos love it. Jason is SUPER passionate and patient with my over active kids. This place is great. If you are looking for a place for you or your kids to do Martial artsThis is the place to go. He also has homeschool classes in the morning!!!

Fantastic experience: Beyond happy with the schedule, people, and program Bushido academy has. The schedule is flexible where you could come in the morning and have a general workout, as well as afternoon classes suited for your experience level (beginners - advanced). Besides classes, you have a space for strength training and body weight conditioning (kicking bags). I also love the diversity of people who come in for the actual training classes - different weight classes, backgrounds, and skills - makes it an exceptional experience for anyone to learn new spectrum of martial arts.

Fantastic experience: I have never found a place that is more like family than Bushido! From the very first day I signed up to try something out of my comfort zone to going on 3.5 years later, I have felt at home. I would never want to go anywhere else! After the first month of doing kickboxing for myself, I realized I would like to sign my children up as well. They have absolutely LOVED it! They have learned self discipline while making friends and learning much needed self defense. It is so empowering knowing that I won't need to worry about my kids (especially my daughter) when trouble may present itself. All instructors have been amazing and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: We found this gym a little over a year ago. My Husband, and son were very interested in taking Jiu jitsu. My husband checked out a few places, and came across Bushido Academy. Out of all the places he looked at and researched; Bushido stood out. Here we are, a little over a year later, and it was the best decision ever! We may drive over 30 minutes to get here, but we do! Why, because this place is family oriented. Top notch teachers! Great values, and so much more. We are truly blessed to have found Bushido Academy! They welcomed us with open arms, and we consider them family! If you are looking for a great place to come, and train/learn Bushido is the go to!

Fantastic experience: If you're looking, stop! You've found it. Throughout the years I have trained/assisted/visted many schools in the region, and Bushido is by far the best experience that I've had. A veteran owned buisness led by Jason Brake, Bushido puts a strong emphasis on high-quality instruction, confidence building and making it's students feel welcome and at home! A great atmosphere for families, men women and children alike, and very welcoming of law enforcement/first responders and military personnel. What sets Bushido apart from everywhere else in my opinion, is how much Jason and his staff genuinely care about their students, both on and off the mats. I could not reccomend this school enough!!!!

Fantastic experience: Bushido Academy is an amazing martial arts gym. My daughter and I have been going there for nearly six months. My daughter is four and loves being a part of the tiny warriors and she looks forward to every class she gets to go to. She has grown so much in that short amount of time and I’m so proud of how dedicated she is to it. She enjoys it so much that I started classes as well so it has become a great family activity. I enjoy the jiu jitsu and Muay Thai classes. The instructors are great and truly care about their students learning. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to learn a martial art or self defense.

Fantastic experience: I've been training jiujitsu for about 6 years now at various different schools. I've never felt so welcomed and so at home than I have being with my training partners at Bushido! If you are on the fence about coming and trying out a class, wait no longer. The best time to start training was 10 years ago, the next best time is now.

Fantastic experience: There is a great sense of community at bushido academy. Everyone genuinely cares about each other's advancement and it's a lot of fun. When I was there, some of the higher ranked people mentored me and everyone was encouraging. I haven't found another bjj gym as good as this one.

Fantastic experience: Very homely gym situated right outside of downtown. Owner is courteous and let me drop in for a couple days to train. Great mat space, facilities well kept, and in my brief time there everyone was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Jason and Alexis are both so fantastic! My little girl has been going since March and she loves it. She talks so much about her “ninja Alexis” and “ninja Jason”. She’s progressed so much as this class was her first real experience with other kids as well. Couldn’t ask for a better academy to send my little one. Fantastic experience: My daughter who has been in Taekwondo for five years was diagnosed this year with Hashimotos Disease with Alopecia which was affecting her memory to where forms were not something she couldn’t do anymore under pressure. Her brain wasn’t functioning the way it had before she was beyond unhappy and needed a change. She was already taking mma at bushido academy as a way for her to focus on boxing something she had interest in as well, so she came to her dad and I and decided that she would test to finish up her tkd with her. 2nd degree black belt and then convert over to Bushido full time and retire from tkd due to her health. It has been an amazing experience for me as her mother to see her not be under so much pressure to remember a strict form. She is now enjoying herself and acting like a 10 year old should instead of being worried if she forgets something or did something wrong. There is no way I can thank the staff at this school for stepping up and becoming positive role models for her and reassuringly letting her know that it takes time to get where she wants to be and she isn’t going to get it in one day that greatness comes in time, even with all the practice in the world it’s okay to still mess up. Thank you again and if you haven’t given this school a try please do you won’t be disappointed

Fantastic experience: This is truly my honest review. I been training for the past few months in BJJ with Ward and Brake, also a few special guests that are huge in the game. I am extremely pleased with choosing this gym. I've lost nearly 20 lbs so far and learned a ton of techniques. Not only do they have some of the best instructors, the equipment is top notch too. Probably the biggest thing I have noticed is that I have made a lot of friends from training and I have always had a good time when coming to the gym. Ive played tons of different types of sports growing up but this is just different with humbling experiences and a ton of self reward for life. I'm a up and straight person... Fantastic experience: My kid attend this class and since we have joining I have seen many results such as good behavior and attitude as changed at school and home from both off my children by attending these classes . Fantastic experience: My son has been training in martial arts for 7 years. Jason invited us to come train at his gym, and my son fell in love with kickboxing. He is now trying out the Jujitsu to further his arsenal, so to speak. You can never go wrong with learning. So whether you are an advanced student or just learning, Bushido MMA has something to offer!
