The Little Gym of Jersey City

Fantastic experience: Update: The owners and entire staff of coaches are excellent, kind, supportive, caring, and energetic! We're extremely happy with this entire experience and our kid loves going. The "Parent Survival Nights" are a welcome break for us AND the makeup-class system makes scheduling a breeze. I cannot possibly recommend The Little Gym more highly!

Fantastic experience: We threw our son's 2nd birthday party at The Little Gym of Jersey City and it was such a beautiful turn out! The kids had such a great time! The instructors were amazing, extremely helpful& great with the kids! The set up and breakdown was impeccable and seamless for us throwing the party. Throwing a party during a pandemic is scary and they kept everything clean and safe for us all. The only complaint I have, is that the party couldn't be longer! We were not ready to leave at the end. We will be going back for future classes!

Fantastic experience: Both of my kids go to Little Gym. My 4 year old since they opened, and my 1 year old since September. They have advanced so much in their movement and confidence, it’s really impressive! The coaches are attentive and playful. They both have so much fun and we are lucky to have them in our community!

Fantastic experience: My son loves going to Little Gym!! His teachers, Coach Olivia is the BEST and he loves her! Following the COVID shutdown my son was extremely hesitant and shy about going inside the gym to play. The coaches were so patient, understanding, caring, and very kind to my son. As a result, my son has really opened up with their help. I love how creative they are with the kids. Not only do the kids have fun and get exercise, but also teach them good listening and social skills. I highly recommend Little Gym to any parents with little chlldren.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place for little ones. I started taking my son there when he was 13 months old. He absolutely enjoys the gym and all the activities. The coaches are great. We really look forward to go there every week.

Fantastic experience: The Little Gym of Jersey City hands down has the best instructors. Our little guy, Sebastian, LOVES Coach Carmelo! He loves his Tuesday mornings! We also celebrated our son’s 1st birthday party here - so much FUN and organized! They did such an amazing job decorating & entertaining our guests!

Positive experience: My son has visited the Little Gym in Jersey City a few times. The staff is friendly, engaging and energetic. The facility is clean and equipment is well-maintained. We look forward to participating in events there in the future.

Fantastic experience: Fun addition to JC! We joined because we are big fans of Mr. C and loved the LG in Tribeca. We had our 5 year old birthday party here and were lucky to have Mr. C there - he is amazing with kids of all ages and is great at making them happy and entertained while they learn real skills. The parents got to kick back, socialize and relax while the LG took care of the kids, decorations, food and everything (set up, cleaning and packing leftovers and gifts). Finding nearby free street parking has been easy during both weekdays and weekends (even for a non parallel parker).

Fantastic experience: Dropped off my 6 year old for a parent night out and it was awesome. It had been a while since my partner and I had dinner alone. Reasonably priced and the kids have a blast.

Fantastic experience: My son has been attending classes at Little Gym for the past few months and we also hosted his birthday party there in June. He really loves Little Gym (and by extension, I do too - more on that below) and Coach Danielle, Coach Carmelo, etc. He comes home from class and babbles about his coaches for hours and every morning when he wakes up he asks if he has Little Gym or swim class today. Beyond liking Little Gym because he does, I think their facility is the newest and cleanest of any in the area (he has been in classes at Gymboree and MyGym for years). On top of that, their classes are better because the activities and themes vary more from week to week and I feel like they are working more on developing new skills (like balance and increasing upper body strength) than at the other classes. I also thought they did a great job with his birthday party - the staff was super helpful and easy to work with and they handled everything so all we had to do was drop off any decorations we wanted for the dinosaur theme he chose and show up.

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old daughter simply cannot get enough of this place. We currently have her enrolled in a variety of activities and this is her absolute favorite thing to do. The classes are super high-energy and engaging for the kids. They focus on 3-dimensional learning while teaching the basics of gymnastics. This involves games that stoke the kids' imagination and lessons that teach the kids to be better "citizens", e.g. manners, politeness etc. The classes go way beyond teaching the basics of gymnastics to really hone brain development and muscle memory. The gym is very well-organized and well-run by the owners Coach Tim and Coach Danielle. It is very clean and very safe for the kiddos. But there is also a very warm, comforting atmosphere that we love. The staff almost makes you feel like family. They often have members-only events which we enjoy taking advantage of. One example was Doughnuts with Dad around Father's Day. That was a fun time in the gym and gave fathers a chance to participate in some activities. And there is a Halloween party coming up that we are looking forward to.

Fantastic experience: The Little Gym, along with its caring and attentive staff members, has really allowed my little girl to flourish! She attends Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays and looks forward to her classes. I love seeing her little face light up with excitement as well as watching her interact with the other children and coaches. I have noticed a growth in her character and even more confidence than before! Thank you to the Little Gym coaches for taking care of my precious little gymnast! You're always so professional and caring! Recommend this place to all who want to watch their children flourish and shine!

Fantastic experience: Very nice, clean and always organized! My daughter attends gymnastics, and she loves her coaches! Her classes are fun, but also physically challenging. The owners are very nice!

Fantastic experience: My daughter just loves it here! Coach Carmelo is awesome! Great at engaging her but also letting her explore and learn at her own pace. In addition to all the new physical skills, I fully attribute her being able to put her toys away to the Little Gym. We sing the “put away” song and she starts picking up. It even works when she doesn’t want to relinquish something; we sing the song and she looks so sad at whatever she is holding but hands it over to be put away. It’s amazing! Also, love the sign language lessons each week and each week’s homework to focus on new skills outside of class. Plus, just love that we have class and then multiple practice sessions each week. It feels like multiple classes a week for the price of one and really brings down the per class price if you factor in the additional days. With winter coming, indoor activities with indoor stroller parking are at a premium for us. In addition to indoor stroller parking, it is a level entry and there is always a coach there to open the door for you which is just a nice perk. Strongly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My 2 year old has been coming here since they opened and she really loves it. The instructors are caring and fun and they also do great birthday parties!! They offer makeup classes and extra practice times. So glad they are in the neighborhood!

Fantastic experience: The Little Gym has been a lifesaver! I have an active 11 month old boy and we love the high energy classes and instructors! Every instructor has been super friendly and enthusiatic. I have no idea how they keep going all day! It's a great place to be silly with your baby and meet other parents and baby friends too. We love our class times and additional practice times every week

Fantastic experience: The place is amazing! Clean, freindly staff, and our energetic 5 year old gets to flip and tumble non-stop ( she actually gets tired!! Lol). Thank you Little Gym!

Fantastic experience: State of the art facility. My two sons LOVE coming there every weekend for their favorite gym class ;) a week without my little gym would definitely not be the same. The place is clean, brand new and the staff is just awesome and so energetic! (Special thanks to coach Tim;)).

Fantastic experience: Just opened up today. Looks like a really solid place with a very friendly staff and nice interior decor. They are reasonably priced on par with other gyms in the area. Think would be a nice place to have a birthday party. Their summer camps for kids start at 3 years of age which would be my only complaint. Overall seemed a solid place.
