Gentle yoga is a calm, dynamic practice that can help bring balance to your life. In gentle yoga, we take time to focus on our breath, light stretching, and a calm environment as we tune into our subtle internal energy bodies. Mostly, gentle yoga helps you to have a sound mind and go about your day with a sense of wellbeing and peace.

The atmosphere in gentle yoga is free of competition and comparison. There is no frustration of not being able to do a pose, and no agitation from holding a pose. We all work within our personal limitations, only pushing ourselves as we see it as beneficial to our body. So the energy of the class is generally happy and calm.

Focus on the present moment and become aware of your body and mind with breathing techniques to release stress and revitalize yourself. Turn the everyday brain chatter into stillness and relaxation.

I found yoga in January 2015 when I started practicing at my local studio. After only a few months, I decided to join a yoga teacher training.

Yoga has been the best life investment I have ever done. It has improved my health, supports my spirituality, and gives my body the longevity that no other practice can offer.

I found yoga in a typical guy way! My wife suggested for me to try it for years and I reluctantly listened 1 year later..... story of a husband. To my surprise (but not hers) she was right. Yoga is awesome! I found something that is truly owned within. All actions, intentions and thoughts are a reflection of me. A year later I became a certified yoga teacher. It's empowering when you realize that you really are the sum of your actions and that you have the power to be better. Yoga helps meld my mind with my actions. I love gentle yoga because it allows my body to heal from the misused, the apparent wear and tear from all my life experiences and the day to day we go through. Gentle yoga helps me realize that we should be kind and cautious to ourselves and not take our body for granted.

I discovered yoga in 2013 during a period of stress. The tranquility and positive attitude I experienced led me to a whole new understanding of wellness that I now hope to share with others.

I became certified in sound and energy healing during my time as a teacher trainee, which helps with mediation. I teach yin and vinyasa classes to help bring balance into people's lives.

Dipa Patel has been teaching Hatha Yoga and Meditation for over 25 years. She graduated from The International Sivananda Yoga and Vedanta - Himalayas, India.

Dipa teaches people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, including children, teenagers, pregnant and postpartum women, seniors, and people with chronic illnesses or mental challenges. She has taught in India, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

She also conducts workshops on various topics of yoga and health. She enhances her classes and workshops by including the five important points of Yoga:

I was born with a medical condition called arthrogriposis multiplex, which affects my bones and muscles. Yoga has been helping me not to get worse and prevent getting stiffer.

I will be teaching a Gentle class that adapts yoga poses using a chair to help with awareness and deep relaxation through meditation, deep breaths, and gentle stretches.

I started practicing yoga to heal myself physically, mentally, and spiritually. I had tried it before in larger cities, but always felt like it was too fast-paced or too advanced for me and I could never catch up.

I discovered yoga as a way to help with my back pain, and it has led me to a more well-rounded life. I am now a teacher myself, helping others find their own path to healing.

Restorative yoga is a type of yoga that is focused on slowing down, resting, and opening our energy. It has fewer posture changes and uses props such as blocks and blankets to support the relaxation of the pose. Appropriate for all levels, this class is practiced at a restful pace.

Please book your class in advance! Please be courteous and arrive to class 10-15 minutes before it begins.
