Fantastic experience: Don't be afraid to try something new and hard! I've been wallowing in self-pity for a while, knowing that I needed to start working out but just couldn't find the get up and go. The day after a particularly bad night, a new customer and his family walked into my store and, he just happened to own a boxing gym. We got to chatting and he said come on over first class is free! I have to admit I was super intimidated. I've never thrown a punch in my life but it sounded fun so, I went for it and I have to tell you OMG, I think it might have changed my life! The workout is difficult and grueling and exhausting and I was moments away from throwing up but I didn't quit. Then I went back the next day! I've been four times now and I can't wait to go back every time. I never imagined a garage style boxing gym would be so welcoming to those not in their circle, but I was so wrong! It was amazing and it felt like a family. Everybody encouraging each other and pushing each other to do their best. I thought about it and I realized why I've always hated gyms so much. They're so impersonal and nobody makes eye contact and nobody cares if you don't show up for class. They won't even notice. That's just not how my brain works. If I don't feel like I'm part of something, I'm out. So I just wanted to say, DO THE THING! You might be surprised.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place.. this is a real boxing gym, not some 9 rounds or some cardio kickboxing. I think anyone with a young son would be doing their kid the greatest act of love they could ever do by sending them here. Flacco, is a real boxing instructor, and there just aren't coaches like him anymore, he is a relic of the past and it's just amazing to be apart of it. I also see firsthand how the young guys really are being molded and coached and pushed in a positive way. I can't say enough good things about this gym, I can't believe they only have 4.5 stars they should have nothing short of a 5 out of 5. Much respect and much move to FCG

Fantastic experience: In my lifetime, I have been to many commercial and boxing gyms (including 9round here on Sheridan St) but there’s no comparison to Flaco’s Gym. Thankfully I was able to start again after taking a break for 2 years to care for my grandmother. When I tell you it felt like I never left this gym I mean it; but that’s what its all about when you’re a family (community). The gym continues to be clean, organized and the equipment all work. My favorite part of it all is when Flaco teaches. He is only there to do one thing and that’s to get us in great shape. Being a woman, one thing I look for in a trainer is someone who is respectable - which he is. He’s a great guy, great father and business owner. Lastly, living here in Hollywood for 28 years he has done more for this city than anyone else - ie backpack give away , youth boxing etc. Sending Blessings to my gym family. Definitely would recommend he will work with you on any goal you want to achieve.

Fantastic experience: Wow so much to say. Flacos has been life changing for me. Joined 2 years ago and would t change it for the world. FLACO provides a fun but challenging workout. He consistently changes up the workouts so they don’t get repetitive then adds his boxing talent. The boxing is really what I fell in love with. It wasn’t easy at first but with staying consistent my endurance on the bag had improved and my body has changed. It’s a true full body workout. Mind body and soul. First class is free so come see what everyone is talking about.

Fantastic experience: Both of my kids attend this gym one of my kids have been here for at least a year he absolutely enjoys it and keep some active teach yourself discipline among other things everyone here gets along, helping each other to stay motivated and to keep going, the coach has a street yet professional manner which is what I truly love cuz my kids will get both sides

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here for years. Not only have I found my outlet, I have found my second family. The atmosphere is perfect to get that hard core sweat on!!!! Highly recommended. Trainers are incredible. Great workout every time!!!

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent gym! It's not your typical, "frou frou" gym, but if you're familiar with the boxing culture-a true boxing gym is always going to be rough around the edges. Everyone is so incredibly welcoming and accepting from the moment you walk in no matter what your size is. They know you and greet you by name. I joined right before the pandemic and lost 10 lbs in one month! I've since moved away and I truly miss it! I have yet to find a gym like this where I live now. Try out Flaco's gym! Fantastic experience: Flacos da man. Trains to to actually get results

Fantastic experience: Early this year I had major knee surgery. I was a soccer player so it’s easy to see why I gained weight - I couldn’t do a good cardio session without hurting my knee again. But I was in love with martial arts, and boxing made sense for me. It would give me a solid workout without hurting my legs but still have a trainer to push me. So I walked in with a friend today - first time - no prior experience. Got a free class and rented some gloves for cheap. The owner was nice, and the trainer was super helpful. The trainer got us wrapped and gloved quickly, and was always correcting everyone individually. Honestly it’s an awesome workout. My arms might fall off but it was worth it. About the place.... Theres plenty of parking. The inside is really nice and has a good amount of bags. The bags have monitors to show your performance. It was cool to see it so that next time I can compare it. They clearly take care of the gym and it’s people. I don’t have a single bad thing to say! It’s a nice boxing gym just down the street from me - I’m excited for all that it will give me as a gym

Fantastic experience: Awesome high intensity work out. I've been searching for a healthy fun hobby and I found it. I just started going and the classes change up so it won't get boring. Seems like a big mix of people all different skill levels. I have slight social anxiety so I felt very comfortable and didn't feel out of place. Just a bunch of different wonderful people that want to have fun. Hope to make some positive friends as I keep going. It for sure will help me lose weight and tone up.Best of all it is very affordable. Much love Mike

Fantastic experience: Flaco's Community Gym (FCG) is truly an amazing place. It manages to do what very few gyms are able to; which is combining challenging workouts in a judgement free and supportive environment. FCG's workouts make you sweat beyond belief, push you beyond your limitations all while focusing on technique. In addition to FCG feeling and looking like a real boxing gym, the level of customer service is above reproach; whether you need gloves, wraps, tips on technique or just general information, there's always someone willing and able to help. Furthermore, FCG is the epitome of diversity, you'll find yourself working out with members and guests from all walks of life, different ethnicities, races, sexual orientations, genders, and socio economic backgrounds. Working out at FCG is truly a joy and a pleasure, one that can't be duplicated. My only complaint is that one class kicks my ass so much that I've yet to be able to work up to trying to take two classes a day.

Fantastic experience: I am very picky so I have visited so many different gyms but this is it : I found the one ! Amazing way of seeing quick physical improvement : i saw mine in just a month time The coaches are very motivating and they push you to do your best. I definitely recommend it On my part, boxing has been mentally so stimulating and beneficial !
