Unique Fitness Holbrook

Fantastic experience: Love it. Unique literally has something for everyone. Its a beautiful clean facility and everyone i have met there is so nice, from the staff to the clientele!!!! They have specials right now to bring in the new year for membership and personal training. Its the first gym i have really loved. All gyms have a lot to offer but Unique has something I actually want!!!

Fantastic experience: Came to this location yesterday for open house. They have the most amazing vendors at this location. We met with a company called All Star Security they hired myself and my brother and we are currently going through the process of being full time employees. Thank You Bobby Smith regional Director for hiring us. I am excited to be home this summer and found a great company to work for.

Fantastic experience: People behind the desk are awesome. They listen intently and help you with any situation that they can or they will get somebody who can help. I’ve never had a issue with the shakes they always get it right which is hard to do these days. Highly recommend stopping in and just checking everything out, won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have memberships both here and LA. Comparatively, This is the cleanest most professional gym on Long Island. The machines and sauna are always spotless and fresh, LA saunas are disgusting and smell sour. Big shoutout to the cleaning crew they’re out here saving lives and peoples days! once you come here Any other gym seems gross and disappointing

Fantastic experience: Let’s take a quick step back, when my gym for almost two decades became a Unique Express on Sunrise Highway in Holbrook. As the transition was set in motion from Sunrise Fitness to Unique, I knew this team for Unique were the real deal. Watching the contractors they assembled tackle a new facility with such detail and mastery was inspiring. Shortly after this we heard they would soon be opening a mega facility just a few minutes away on Veterans Highway. Needless to say, in March of 2019 on opening day, I walked in and ever since that day have not stepped foot in any gym on the Island and never will!! They have all the tools (top notch equipment, classes, resources, trainers, juice bar, saunas, wearable gear and on and on) to help you achieve your fitness/health goals. I have taken my wife and I even use the kiddie room for my son and daughter. It’s clean, has so much to offer for the young ones and helps me stay focused on my workout by trusting their amazing staff. Speaking of the staff, I have never met one who made me feel uncomfortable or unapproachable. You can walk in this gym every day for a year and get a different workout, which says a lot about what it has to offer. Monkey bars…love em. Turf field for a variety of exercises…love it. Free loaded machines or adjustable…yup. Ropes…check. Check check check. If the gyms in the Northeast were to get in the ring for supremacy, Unique Holbrook would be Mike Tyson in his prime. This facility is a knockout and one that will never disappoint.

Fantastic experience: Unique is an amazing gym! Dozens and dozens of cardio machines (EIGHT, yes 8, stair masters!), multiple free weight areas, and with the amount of equipment they have, I hardly ever have to wait for a machine. I don’t take classes much, but when I do it’s Saturday 9AM spin with Jen. The music, energy and enthusiasm is spot on. Every staff member I’ve come in contact with is always smiling and friendly. Last, but not least, is the management. Ryan has been a huge help with anything I need; he’s responsive, pleasant, and very accommodating. Great gym!

Fantastic experience: Unique in Holbrook is truly a special place. It's always incredibly clean, got fun music playing, and offers DELICIOUS shakes. But I have to say that the greatest part of Unique is the staff at the front desk - they are so kind and warm any time I enter or leave the gym. Shelby in particular is a true superstar! Always running around ensuring each and every member is taken care of and enjoying their time at Unique. Couldn't ask for a better gym!!

Fantastic experience: The Holbrook gym is always very friendly and clean. The classes on the turf are outstanding, and I love their protein shakes. The one manager Shelby is so personable and always goes out of her way to attend to all the members. She is exceptional! The atmosphere is wonderful; people just do their own thing and no one bothers you.

Fantastic experience: Finally everything you need in one place right off vets! The new unique on Vets has all of the proper equipment for you to incorporate into any routine and tackle your goals. I know myself I drive to Deer Park for my personal trainer , but we have days that we can’t link up so having a gym with the proper equipment to still work towards my goals is a great relief! And they have a huge sauna, super clean facility. Huge Shout out to the GM , Shelby, who was extremely helpful in making changes to my account and discussing the best options for me to get started right away. Also Erica at the front desk was super pleasant. Don’t forget to checkout the awesome meal prep, supplement walk and merchandise for Unique!

Fantastic experience: Its huge, clean, high tech and flashy. I was more of a dungeon animal but its growing on me. I go at like 515 am and its actually pretty motivating to see so many up crushing it before the sun rises. If you want to go at peak hours though expect it to be packed like most good gyms. Overall best value for a year up front for what you get in my opinion. Staff and envirment seems pretty postive and welcoming.

I’ve seen such a change in my body since starting personal training, it’s been the best decision to sign up with them. The facility is so clean, and all the equipment is top of the line and they’re so quick to fix anything when it breaks or rips. Top gym on Long Island!

Fantastic experience: I have been attending Unique in Holbrook from the opening week and still love it like it was day one. The gym is always clean, the staff is always friendly, willing to talk to you about any of your questions or concerns, and quickly address anything you bring up to them. Machines are always up and running and they do a great job keeping them serviced. Shelby the manager has been there from the beginning and is always there to greet you with a smile which rubs off on the rest of the friendly staff. Haven’t seen a cleaner or nicer gym on Long Island.

Fantastic experience: It been a long time since I’ve been able to make it to the gym considering I just had a baby. I paid for several months without realizing or using the gym, and they were happy to credit me back and applied it to upcoming months once I was ready to use the gym. This was amazing because we all know gyms took a huge hit during this pandemic. I got back into the gym a few days ago, I was extremely hesitant with going to the gym and everything with covid. I must say unique fitness in Holbrook was so clean. I felt so safe. There are sanitizing stations and wipes through out the entire gym so it was really easy to maintain a clean environment while working out. I had a few questions about my membership and the protocols with masks and Shelby was so unbelievably kind and so helpful. She showed me the sanitizing stations and reassured me that everyone wears masks. To many, it may not seem like a big deal or it may seem dramatic to have to wear a mask while working out but I appreciate it and how thorough Unique fitness is with this NYS mandated rule, because I have a beautiful child at home I don’t want to bring anything home too. So Thank you, I can get back into shape while feeling safe and clean!!!!

Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area by far! Has a full mini football field design inside with beautiful screens and all the equipment you could possibly want to do any type of exercise that you like. For absolutely gorgeous heavyweight training sections for squatting and deadlifts, jump boxes, every top of the line machine that you want from all the major bands such as Hammer strength and Precor. And some of the coolest new high-tech elliptical machines I've seen. I've been in and out of Jim's since I was much younger in 2005 until now and this is one of the best places I've ever been to. It's not cheap but that's expected with quality. I suggest checking it out and making your own decision but I don't think you'll be disappointed. PRO TIP. They do offer a small discount if you sign up for the first day that you go and use your guest pass. So if you're going to go check it out trying to decide if you're committed when you first go you'll save yourself 30 bucks

Fantastic experience: Great gym! big sauna, awesome treadmill (never thought I would enjoy running on a treadmill VS outside) Ton of equipment. Puts LA fit to shame. They copied unique with a small turf. Hope to see more uniques pop up and a 24hr one.

Fantastic experience: Update: Christmas Day 2021 This is the only health club in Suffolk County that is apparently open today. Also, I have not heard uncensored rap music since my last review. Therefore, this club deserves a five-star rating. Previous review: Uncensored rap music with the N-word periodically blasts over the loudspeakers. It jars me when staff, especially the Black ones, will not change the music despite my objections. Occasionally, they do. Freedom fighters flock here. They drive into the parking lot in their lifted pickup trucks, with American flags flying in the cargo bed and with oversized tires sporting elaborately decorated wheels. BEWARE OF THE HATE TATTOOS AND EXTREMIST CLOTHING. Vote Red! Proud to be an American! Back the Blue! This is a Patriot hangout. It is apparent that the owners and staff are playing uncensored rap music as an excuse to hear the N-word. They seem to enjoy the minstrel show that rap music is, and they would likely never play music with anti-Semitic words if they wanted to stay in business. . Unique Fitness, you must engage in better business practices. Shame on your microaggressiveness! Nevertheless, I am giving this business four stars because it opens at 4 am weekdays and at 6 am on weekends, and it participates in a fitness club network, for which members pay low monthly fees.

Fantastic experience: Really the best gym on Long Island I’ve been to. Spotless facilities, helpful and welcoming staff, state of the art equipment. Nothing to complain about at all if you’re serious about your health and wellness. No other gym has all of the features you could possibly want like Unique does

Fantastic experience: I always hated trying to find a decent gym. Finally came across this chain of gyms and they welcomed my fiancé and I with open arms. Not only is it a gym but literally a family. The owner and his son are so kind and know how to run a legitimate business. I go 5 days a week and know everyone there! Love the lifting environment as well. Not threatening and great for beginners as well.

Fantastic experience: The gym is very new and it is gorgeous. The locker room and showers are very big. There is a sauna and plenty of workout machines. The Zumba classes are awesome. They also have Spin and yoga classes. People of all ages, not just young people, are members.

Fantastic experience: I initially got my membership July 2019 and loved going everyday. The facility was kept really clean and all of the staff was friendly. When Covid hit they ended up having to close mid-March and starting in April they stopped charging me monthly. I am moving to an apartment that has a gym so I decided to cancel when they reopened. The process of canceling was really easy and they didn't give me a hard time at all. Back in March they did charge me before they closed (just how the billing cycle worked out) and they did the right thing and gave me a refund for that payment. I would have definitely stayed with them if I wasn't moving. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: It's a very clean club with great equipment and plenty of parking. Members MUST wipe down the machines to stop the spread of covid-19. Two members sharing a machine next to me did not wipe the equipment. There are plenty of wipes and towels and antibacterial soap available at this club. They do an excellent job but I don't know how the rule to clean up after yourself can be enforced.

Fantastic experience: Unique Fitness is the goods. I’ve been to almost every gym establishment in Suffolk and nothing compares to this place. Holbrooks my favorite but all locations are huge and have nice equipment. Trainers know their stuff and can help you for really any set goal in mind. They honestly got it all.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym. Everything you could possibly want or need. Assault bikes and assault treadmills are worth the membership fee. Locker room and bathrooms are always clean. Best gym around.

Fantastic experience: This is clearly and obviously the best gym within a 30 mile radius(and probably more). I've trained at Gold, LA, Lifetime and others over the years. Unique in Holbrook is by far the premier gym of Suffolk and probably Nassau counties. The staff are friendly and amazing, and knowledgeable. the equipment is top notch. Deadlifts off of real wood floors is amazing. it does get crowed, but the shear size of the gym and parking area can easily accommodate the crowd. Overall its everything you can ask for in a modern training facility. I would give it 6 STARS if I could.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym. Tons of machines. Huge cardio selection. The turf area is amazing ! Truly something for everyone at this gym. I met the trainer Sam for my 2 Fitx sessions (I think that’s what it’s called). She was so sweet and informative!! Love this place !

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! There is a lot of versatility with all of the different equipment, which makes for very tiring workouts. The staff is always kind, even at the crackhead-early time of 4am. This gym is also aesthetically pleasing and the locker room/sauna are typically clean which is great. The only reason I’m giving Unique 4-stars is because the gym itself can be a little dirty and rundown at times. The equipment can also be dirty and falling apart. For example, the bars for bench press and squat racks turn the cleaning wipes brown sometimes. Additionally, the rope for the cable machines are always torn up. This isn’t 100% management’s fault, as it is a gym and there’s a heck ton of people using all of this equipment. Henceforth, of course it’s going to get run down pretty quickly. Also, evidently not everyone cleans up after themselves so certain things are going to be less clean than they should be. However, if you aren’t scared of a little dirt SOMETIMES, then this gym is 12/10 recommended. Side bar: Blessed as heck for this gym’s existence, but to anyone reading this, please wipe down what you use pls and ty lol

Fantastic experience: Awesome facility. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great gym but doesn't mind paying a little more. For the value of what you receive, you really do get such a wonderful experience when you are working out. There is a plethora of workout equipment and an abundance of workout machines for everyone. They even have a field!
