Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about the Pit Vegas. Sure they help you get in great shape, and teach you martial arts, but it's so much more than that. You'll hear members refer to the "Pit Ohana", and I've really felt like I've found family here. Members and instructors alike support each other, push each other to improve, and do so in a friendly way. If you're on the fence about checking it out, just show up and I promise that you'll be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: The Pit Vegas has changed my life. The friendly family oriented atmosphere has helped my fitness go from couch potato to fight night ready. I can't recommend this place enough. The trainers are amazing and professional, the facility is the perfect training ground, and the varied classes available really make it a one stop place for physical and mental cultivation. 5 out of 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: The Pit Vegas is the best MMA Gym in Vegas!!!!!!! I love the "family" environment it offers vs the "fighter" environment. No egos to worry about and it's a team environment where everyone wants/helps everyone to succeed. My daughter, wife, and I all attend and we love the intense and fun environment it provides, not to mention being in great shape :)

Fantastic experience: There's so many positive things to say about Altruist MMA. My kids have been going 1-3 times a week for the last year and a half. A little background on how and why we got started will highlight why Altruist is such a great place to take your kids. I called Kumu Eric hoping to find something my daughter could do to build her confidence and help her feel included. She had been struggling with the move from a recreational soccer team to a competitive one. Kumu Eric spent time talking to me about her and invited us in for a class. It took a little time, but she settled in and started to excell in the training. Always Kumu Eric gave encouragement while still keeping a learning environment. I could see she was beginning to feel part of something important without having to be anybody but herself. She got stronger, faster, and more coordinated. More focused and purposeful. She made friends with all different kinds of kids. Her confidence grew and it made a difference in all areas of her life. She is playing soccer again at a high level and she is excelling now, both in soccer and MMA. My son who is almost 8 also goes. He is a completely different personality than my daughter, yet he loves Altruist MMA just as much. He loves the hard work and the games they play. He is getting stronger and more coordinated. Mentally, he likes making decisions on what move to use and when to use it. I appreciate the quality of instruction, the caring nature of the instructors, and the fun family environment we get every time we come to class. Kumu Eric and his team are the BEST! I highly recommend Altruist MMA.

Fantastic experience: Eric is very good with the kids. My son John loves going there every Monday and Friday. He loves the games at the end.

Fantastic experience: Let me start with I didnt like the Idea of my babies doing MMA classes, because I was skeptical. But I knew they needed to learn selfdefence to protect themselves in this modern world. They tried out a class and they really liked it. Now they love going to the classes and I even joined one too. Eric is welcoming and answers all my questions. I think Altruist MMA is a great enviroment for the kids of all ages and adults. The kumos(trainers) make you feel at home. Nobody judges you, instead they encourage you and make you feel that you can do anything, They help you every step of the way and I love it!, Altruist MMA has helped me cope with myself and my personal problems. After every class I leave feeling recharged and good within myself. Over the last year I have learned to love myself again. Altruist MMA has shown me that if I want something, with hard work and loving myself I would achieve it ( didn't believe it at first). Once I do! I up my goal to a harder one. To give a little insight I had suffered from post partum depression and had a constant struggle within myself to be the person I was before my babies. I was made to feel that it was me and all in my head and that I was making it up and it was not real. My goal when I started Altruist MMA was to continue to lose the baby weight that I gained with my 3 babies putting me at 238lbs and severely depressed and helpless. Which I know it was me who had to make the change oh and I got a panic attack for the first time in my life I literally felt like that was it, and the first thing that came to my mind was MY CHILDREN; so my goal for 2019 was to work on myself again cuz nobody will do it for me. It was hard and still is but I had a will, and these words are real . DO IT FOR YOURSELF, NOT FOR ANYBODY ELSE. If you love yourself you will achieve great things. I had lost 62 LB since the beginning of 2019 . I have to thank Eric Umali for creating Altruist MMA,This great place where, now a days you don't think it exists. Everyone is super nice and encourage you to try your best!! And are right there with you. My trial class /and first day was with you Carly Conrad. And you are an awesome Trainer the dedication that I saw and keep seeing in you, It amazes me .Every single one of the trainers are super duper amazing!. Going there has made me realize that I have control of my own life( I should have realized that a long time ago lol) the power and strength that I feel now, it's thanks to my hard work and your patience kudos to all of you guys. And I'm not at my goal yet but I will keep pushing thru it !!! And finding a new goal after another

Fantastic experience: Altruistic MMA is an all around great place for professional training, exercise, and sportsmanship. Our son (14) has been training with Eric and the other trainers for over a year now. He loves it, and loves the support they all give. Eric and his team really do a great job. I would highly recommend this business to anyone of any age or experience.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could describe what an amazing place The Pit 702 is in our community. Eric was so responsive and helpful for my son's birthday party. He provided an outstanding lesson with mixed martial arts techniques and allowed the kids to also enjoy fun and games. He was attentive to protect the children and ensured safety for everyone. The parents enjoyed watching their children have fun and several said it was an amazing way to celebrate the birthday. The kids listened to the instructions and were very dedicated to learning the techniques. I love the competitive drills but the good sportsmanship followed. We were able to bring pizza, snacks and cake. This is a true hidden gem in Henderson and if I did not want to help support the business I would be hesitant to share this amazing best kept secret. Bounce houses can be fun for kids, but I worry about the safety of my children and also there is not much excitement for the parents. Eric and The Pit 702 gave us everything we wanted for our son's birthday party. It was perfect!

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at The Pit since they were in the old warehouse (around 2014). Eric, JC and the entire staff create such a positive family environment and make everyone feel welcome. The workouts are always great. There’s a reason why their members stay loyal to this gym. Plus, it’s the only place to learn Hawaiian Kempo in the entire state.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! It has been great for my son, who is currently in the PeeWee program. He has learned so much and made good friends as well. They also have an awesome adult program with a lot of fun & challenging workouts. It's nice to have my whole family a part of this program. Kumu Eric is a great instructor and teaches the kids important lessons beyond fighting skills. The other instructors are all equally helpful and lead some fun classes. They have special kid events that happily exhaust my son. Overall, it has a family atmosphere that my whole family appreciates.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place. I got my 7 year old son into classes and tried the adult classes after seeing how much fun they have. Never a boring workout and everyone really is like family. The students and instructors are so down to earth and everyone is friendly and helpful. And it's helped my son deal with bullying by teaching him life skills and self defense. It's been a great way for us to do things together. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: My son really enjoys coming to The Pit 702. All of the instructors (Kumu) are friendly, patient and really like to get the kids active. They also have events held at the location for the kids to hang out have pizza, play games and get to. enjoy each other out of practices. Kumu Eric runs the place and he's always been so kind to our family and always makes sure to ask us how things are going with our son and his progress. There are family discounts available which makes it easier on the wallet. Overall, we've had a great experience and are glad to have found this place!

Fantastic experience: My home away from home. Includes a halarious Pit Ohana, great work outs, and a overall good vibe that fosters personal growth. I started in no shape at all, got into the best shape of my life and achieved goals I didn’t know I had. Then took a year off and have returned with just as much support as before to get back into achieving whatever goals I set for myself. I love the Pit, challenging workouts that cover your whole body, and teach you how to defend yourself at the same time.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to incorporate in your daily routine. Ran by some great people who don't just care about you inside the gym and during your workout, but outside where it counts most. They make you want to take care of yourself and understand the value of martial arts in day to day life. I look forward to them opening a second location gym closer to where I live, but for now, I will be making the trip to Henderson.

Fantastic experience: This is a great MMA gym to go to for the entire family. 1st off this is not a fight gym but if you want to compete they will help you achieve that level. They have great kids classes, conditioning classes and for those that want to learn more Hawaiian Kempo which is a mixed of stand up and BJJ. My self, wife and 7 year old go here and love it. You are not seen as a new contract and just money but truly as part of their family. I have visited and been to other places and trained throughout my life and this place hands down rocks.

Fantastic experience: I love how my kids work out at the same time. They can look over from their class and see me training just as hard as them. I have 3 kids and training here makes me look like I have 0 kids. Great place to be if you want a gym family!
