Gold's Gym San Antonio Culebra

Fantastic experience: Can't believe I ever had a negative thought at all about this place. I recently moved to North SA and the Gold's Gyms up here are terrible compared to the Culebra location. I truly miss this place, and if it wasn't so out of the way, I would continue going. It's cleaner, better equipped, more tentative and friendly looking staff members, better atmosphere, i could go on for days! I highly recommend this Gold's location over any othe Gold's I've been to in SA (4 of them).

Fantastic experience: I have sampled at least 4 Gold's gyms in this area and this one is most likely the best. The locker rooms are clean and they take care of the machines if they break. This is a gym and should be held to the standard of a gym. You pay 30 dollars a month to workout, very simple concept.

Fantastic experience: Always clean and tidy, staff is friendly, lots of equipment available, plenty of free-weights, and lots of space! Carl trains me and makes working out so much fun! We work hard to get me stronger and still have lots of laughs! He is always positive and helped me find enjoyment in the gym, as well as go-to exercises so I’m not lost when I come on my own!

Fantastic experience: This gym has friendly staff from checking in to fitness instructors. My all time favorite is Coach T who runs cycle beats has you dancing, sweating, and smiling big! Definitely recommend this facility.

Fantastic experience: Seriously one of the best gyms around with the friendliest staff. I'm on the autism spectrum with ADHD, Carl is one of the best personal trainers who have experience with AuDHD people.

Fantastic experience: Update: Nov 2022. The employees are super friendly and awesome. I really like Garrett, Kiana, and especially Jade. Not that I'm standing right in front of them, and they're looking at me as I type this *cough* *cough* ---- ---- $25/month is a really good deal for what you get. They have all the necessary amenities to get a good full body workout. I took off one star because other than the second row of treadmills, all the machines are pretty outdated and really need to be replaced with newer models, then added another star because the front desk employees always make me feel welcome.

Fantastic experience: I got really into spin classes after a spinal injury, and when school started, I began trying cycle beats with Coach T and cycle interval with Heather. I fell in LOVE! The energy, passion, and dedication of these instructors is completely unmatched, and there’s a reason there’s always a wait list! I now book my classes a week in advance because I wouldn’t dream of missing out! Thank you, ladies! Also, Johanna at the front desk is soo helpful and always super friendly. I officially consider myself part of the Culebra crew!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this location since February and absolutely love it! The staff is friendly and the building is always clean and kept up. I attend cycling on a weekly basis, step, abs and have also done Fit. The trainers are their to help with your goals and are very helpful. Shout out to Coach T ❤️ Nora , Carl, Adriana, Patricia and all the others at that location. Keep doing what you’re doing

Fantastic experience: Been taking a CrossFit class for about over two months. Amazing class with a great trainer ( Carl Rassat ) explains the workouts well for me to better my form and music is always high energy fun.

Fantastic experience: I come to this Gold's for the Fit and Cycle classes. This is the best value for my $. I get unlimited Fit (functional fitness) and Cycle classes for a low monthly fee. (If you compare it to other functional fitness "box" and "boutique cycle" classes, they are each 100$+ a month for unlimited classes). The Fit classes helped me prepare for the new physical fitness test in the Army. They offer classes throughout the day so it works with people's different work schedules. The coaches help with proper form to prevent injuries. They also modify movements depending on your fitness level and experience. I always recommend Gold's esp to those starting their fitness journey. It helps build confidence and consistency.

Fantastic experience: I really like going to this gym! It's a clean place, the staff is friendly and they play good music. I joined this gym about a year ago. At first, I just did cardio and some machines, but then I signed up with a trainer, Carl. It has really helped me with my fitness goals. I have learned a lot from him and have seen many improvements in my image. I have not only learned about exercise, but also how to improve my food choices. I also had the opportunity to join their Gold's Fit class. These classes have challenged me to improve my strength and mobility. Thank you Gold's Gym for having great staff and trainers like Carl!

Fantastic experience: Well kept gym, staff is super friendly and helpful. They are not ever pushy about getting a bigger membership or signing up for personal training. The gym is pretty popular so it’s almost always packed but people are generally really nice. Wish they had more staimasters (they only have three). But everything else is great. Restrooms are pretty clean also.

Fantastic experience: This place has a sauna unlike the Golds gym on tezel. That place needs to be updated. So I left and went to this golds gym. So Happy I did.

Fantastic experience: Today is my wedding, and although I wasn't having the best day I went to the gym to attempt to level myself out before I got married. I ran into another issue (not golds fault) and Justice fixed it all in one quick easy solution and absolutely made my day. He didn't know I was getting married and he didn't have to know. Good customer service is good customer service hands down he did what he could to make it as easy as possible on me even though he wasn't even a part of the problem and that's how you get things done.

Fantastic experience: I just edited this post from a Two Star review to a Five Star. Why? In short, I wanted to add Spin to my membership. Justice Price, not only added to the membership he saved me money too. But that's a very small portion of the WHY. The major portion of the review increase is that he provided a level of customer service that I had never associated with Gold's. For decades since about 80...Gold's has always been horrible with customer service. If this Customer Service is what's to come, I'll stick with Gold's! No home gym for me. Gold's will be an extended part of my home!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality The cleanest out of the 3 Golds Gym in the area. The other 2 are located on Bandera Rd. The front desk staff is super professional and courteous, always greeting customers with the smile.

Fantastic experience: First day so honestly can't say much. Class schedules won't work for my time to go but happy they have classes. Everything seemed clean and safety covid distance is being followed. Surprisingly packed so early in the morning. Can't wait for saunas open back up. So far everything seems good. Will update when I have been going longer.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t checked out other gyms in the area because this one has everything I need. Power racks, free weights, even a basketball court and hot tub.

Fantastic experience: Great Golds location to workout with family. Facility very well maintained, staff and management very knowledgeable and friendly. Personal trainers (chance) has taught my son a lot on proper techniques how to lift weights. Also helping him mature mentally as well. Highly recommended this gym

Fantastic experience: You can never go wrong with joining a Gold's Gym. With a huge selection of multiple weight lifting machines and free weights you can always get a good work out in. Not to mention the vast selection of cardio machines with the option of a cardio cinema room. Its what you come to expect from the mecca of bodybuilding.

Fantastic experience: My favorite Gold's Gym location. Newer amenities, can be busy, but usually still stays pretty clean and well-kept. Staff has always been helpful here, too.

Fantastic experience: I'm surprised to see any low ratings. We have used the gym for several years. They are very accommodating. After I broke my foot/ ankle I could only use the rowing machine. When one went missing they immediately pulled another from the cross fit area. I've never met a rude person there.

Fantastic experience: This is perfect for being a local Golds Gym. You want fancy go to 151 and Potranco. This location serves its purpose. Hoping they open a bigger one in Alamo Ranch to alleviate crowding here sometimes.

Fantastic experience: Love the gym. Been going since it first opened. Great place to workout, great people. Multi ethnic, multi generational and down to earth. Work travel makes me go to other Golds around town from time to time. By far this is my favorite.

Fantastic experience: I never liked going to the gym until I started here. I love the free classes, and the cinema cardio room. I also highly encourage you to try a complimentary spin class with Michael. It's grueling, but awesome!

Fantastic experience: It’s a great gym until everyone starts their New Year kick, then it tends to get a bit crowded. Overall I really enjoy the location and the day care.
