Fantastic experience: Spent a weekend in Scottsdale and needed a place with real equipment. They had only one squat rack, but that's more than most gyms can say. Great place. oh and they gave me the first visit for free.

Fantastic experience: Motivational members and staff !!! i live in Glendale but work in Scottsdale.. this gym is Just what i need to work off frustration after a long graveyard shift..Monthly fees are the lowest I've ever experienced and the atmosphere is wonderful.. This is not a club where you go to see who is wearing the best workout outfit. At this place , people have goals and aren't afraid to sweat to achieve them. Even if i changed jobs and had no reason to come all the way out to Scottsdale from Glendale, I would keep my membership and come to Independence Gym at least 2 times a week.. ITS WELL WORTH THE TRIP in my opinion..!!!

Fantastic experience: Independence gym was my first gym back to working out after so many failed solo attempts. I signed up to train with Tiffany and I haven’t looked back since. The staff there are always so kind and helpful no matter if you’re going at 5:30 in the morning or 5:30 in the afternoon. This gym environment is unlike any other, it’s always so friendly. Those chain gyms just don’t compare.

Fantastic experience: Working out with my personal trainer Kaelin (found her in Thumbtack site) in the last 9 months has been great. She is knowledgeable and flexible with your changing goals and schedule. She is a certified trainer and also has a degree in Nutrition so I often discuss with her my diet and she gives good tips and also recommendations for supplements. Gym itself is clean, welcoming and well equipped.

Fantastic experience: Independence is a great gym. I have been coming here for over two years now. It's great to see familiar faces and be around great energy in the gym. Whether you are super experienced or not, Independence is a welcoming place for all. Derrick, the owner, has put members' dues to work and made several updates to the gym in the time that I've been there. Love this place and everything about it.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend training with Dillion the bossman to get that natural peach you always wanted. I Literally went from stick to thick from not wanting to show my PEACH to walking in the gym stunning.. I noticed gains 1 month in they were unbelievable I never even thought i could get this far but Dillion pushes you through each workout and make sure it gets done.. He also has meal plans through an app that gives you recipes and organized grocery list on everything you need for your meal plan. The morning sessions he has are also great and is a good day to get off that bottom and. start off your day!! He also really cares about his clients unlike other trainers just be snatching money out people pockets he focuses on the gains and actually shows you how to do the exercises step by step. My boyfriend had told me “My PEACH getting FAT I been putting that work in” I must of laughed and said no this is ME working with Dillion the great gettin this work in. I feel more confident than ever since i started working out with Dillion going on 5 months. He’s really good and flexible around your schedule making sure you get your workout in! I suggest you to give him a call now and schedule that free session! Get them gains!!!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great owners and staff. There's a ton of controversy currently going on with a former trainer that has been kicked out of the gym and unfortunately the gyms name is getting some bad press being associated with it. It should be known though that they currently have no ties with him whatsoever since kicking him out of the gym. I love it here. Love the atmosphere, the equipment and feeling like I can always get a great workout any time of the day.

Fantastic experience: Independence gym is a safe haven for a lot of people that are on a path of self care in a physical manner. The staff and peers are so caring and helpful of one another and make you feel apart of a growing family and community here in the valley ; they make you feel welcomed. The Owners are one in a million. They give great advice on workout routines and diet plans and overall life. They’re very nice a welcoming and cares a lot for the people and staff that are associated with independence gym—independence gym is arguably the best gym in Scottsdale and quite possibly the valley. The atmosphere it gives off just makes you feel you’re doing something right. I strongly and highly recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Gym has all the things you need, plus really cool dogs so it’s already a winner in my book. Staff was constantly circling around cleaning so if that’s a top priority for you, you’ll find it here. Lots of cardio equipment, turf, free weights and machines. Gives a big box gym feel in a small local gym. Really well done.

Ben the personal trainer was very knowledgeable about what he does an excellent on informing me what the best approach was. Alex the personal trainer that i am training with was very respectful an made sure to give me corrections when I needed it to help me Execute the exercises properly.. I forgot her name but the pretty lady with the blonde orange hair was kind an helped me get all set up on my membership! They all make it a positive place which I sincerely appreciate. I wish nothing but great things for independent gym an the individuals who helped me out! I am very happy I had a great experience! Oh also this gym is well very clean/maintained, it didn't smell like a bunch of sweating people which is definitely a plus! Update. It's been almost 4 months since I started coming here. I've met amazing people here. Chandra she works here an she makes me smile just seeing her. I love her personality!! Derek he's a gentleman plus he is always nice. Everyone I mentioned makes this place worth going to!!

Fantastic experience: Just got a membership and it was just an all around good gym. Can't wait to start going to the gym the staff were nice facility look pretty clean. It's a old school and new school gym with a nice area to get some crossfit in.

Fantastic experience: I've been to gyms all over the country and this is one of the best gyms I've ever worked out. Has a great vibe and you feed off the energy. Can get busy at times, but what gym doesn't unless it sucks. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Used the gym for close to a week when I was in AZ. They’ve been super accommodating and a great friendly atmosphere to work out in. Most importantly, the night staff-member(young blonde woman) has been super helpful and doesn’t stop working for a minute-she’s constantly cleaning, putting away equipment, assisting clients and always with a huge smile. Recommend to all and to the owner-great job on hiring this lady and running a great business.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Kansas City and needed a real gym for me and my three older boys to get a heavy deadlift, squat & bench workout during our stay. Independence Gym is fantastic! The manager, Derrick (sp?), and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful. Tons of great equipment. I highly recommend this gym for serious lifters.

Fantastic experience: Solid no frills fully loaded old school gym. Most everyone in here is here to workout their muscles not their mouths, it's motivating to be around others who look good and work hard. If you like to watch TV while you do cardio don't come here. There's a turf area for sprints, full Olympic stations with bumper plates for heavy lifts. Place is rarely crowded and if you time it right you never have to weight for free weights or machines.

Fantastic experience: Been coming for about 3 years now. No-nonsense gym with solid equipment. Nice variety of training modalities from heavy dumbbells to oly platforms, track work to functional training. This place has it all.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Plenty of well maintained equipment. I go at off peak hours so I have no problems with getting access to the squat racks or deadlift platforms. Employees have always been pleasant and accommodating when I request a TV channel. Don't need much else.

Fantastic experience: Went with my son to try it out and it was great. The staff at the front counter were great! They have great equipment. Old school and new pieces as well. I wish I lived closer so I could justify a membership. I will go back again for sure!! Cant say enough about the cleanliness and the great setup.

Fantastic experience: Can you dig it. A gym that has absolutely everything. The folks that work here and workout here are just amazing folks. The trainers are THE BEST IN THE VALLEY. Most of all its where we can get buff swole and or just maintain the bodies dynamics. Fantastic experience: I travel quite a bit so I went on Google maps to find the best gym in Scottsdale. Independence gym came up. Independence is an amazing fitness center that has CrossFit equipment, cardio machines as well as enough weightlifting equipment for any serious bodybuilder. It has a fantastic atmosphere and it makes you feel motivated to go to the gym. Derek the general manager even welcomed me and we chatted. I would highly recommend working out at Independence.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful and professional staff as well. The facility offers a very serious fitness atmosphere. They have a variety of exercise machines and free weights and plenty of cardio machines. There's also a side where you can do plyos and other exercises. Will absolutely recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: First i want to say there are still people and businesses in our society that support our uniformed men and women in the United States military. This is one of those businesses. Not a huge gym but its a great place to get it done! Also they have a tire flipping, sled pull/ pushing, box jumping area. Way cool! Machines are tightly spaced but newer and dumbbells go up to 150lbs. This is where the big boys play. I like the facility and I'm glad i found it.
