Fantastic experience: Kara Hackleman truly helped me recover from joint tightness in my hip which was causing severe leg pain. I appreciate her skills and knowledge in meeting my current needs without aggravating--and even soothing--other issues resulting from cancer treatment. I look forward to her helping me maintain better mobility (and overall quality of life) in the future.

Fantastic experience: The HWC is conveniently located just off #9 on New Road; the spacious building is well-maintained and well-lighted. Staff is pleasantly professional, ready to assist but not overpoweringly present -- one can take a moment to fiddle with the equipment or simply rest without someone racing over to inquire if "everything's OK". The clientele ranges from young athletes to families with kids in tow, to elderly patients in rehab: truly a reflection of the population of this facility's small city location. Good manners and soft voices prevail. From personal experience, I recommend the large heated pool, the Tai Chi classes and the Journey to Wellness program. I have friends who enjoy yoga and Zumba classes. And there are many more on offer, time and space are allocated for the needs of special populations, e.g. "Rock Steady" boxing for people battling Parkinson's. Money invested in a membership in the Hancock Wellness Center is well spent.

Fantastic experience: I've always felt lost in the gym but Kristen has helped me to navigate the different programs and services available making my experience at Hancock wellness center not just enjoyable but successful. Between referring me to Kara for a tape while I was pregnant to different programs to help me maintain my fitness through out my pregnancy and of course not having to worry about my oldest in between while I'm there as I know he's in excellent hands at the jungle club!

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy this facility and the people who work there. They have new equipment and the keys that keep track of your workouts for you. If you sign up be sure to take advantage of the body assessment. I love that they created workouts for me and now I have a way to track my progress.

Fantastic experience: People up front are so friendly. Instructors are great. They know what they are doing and make things to fit each person. I have had the same trainer for 4 years. Derek is the best. He has stayed with me and supported me through a lot of health issues. The other trainers are very supportive.
