Fantastic experience: Excellent place for the whole family. I saw every age group climbing, from 60's to 3 year olds. I left this place feeling like spider man, but I also was humbled to see many small children climbing much better than myself. Rental equipment was clean, bathrooms clean, and everything was fresh and well cared for. I'm definitely coming back. Alta has something for all abilities. DONT BE INTIMIDATED, IT'S SO FUN.

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Ripon (climbatalpine.com) and we love climbing at different gyms. Stoked to try both Alta facilities. This gym is legit. Beautiful building. The staff are extremely helpful, kind and patient. The boulder section is large and the tall wall set up is grand and love that they provide the Grigri. The kids area was incredible, the different themes walls are so cool and the climbing towers are freaky tall but the kids absolutely loved it. Love that they have a moon wall and hanging boards (15 and older). It's impeccable, the bathrooms are nice it's all nice. And they even have an elevator, that's cool.

Fantastic experience: This place is great. Very friendly staff, all levels can do something here. You'll be here for 4-5 hours and not even realize it. Definitely a place to visit.

Fantastic experience: Its really rare to find an activity that you can do as a family, that includes everyone, at Alta we have been able to do something as a family even with my youngest at 2 years old and everyone enjoy themselves. The staff and facilities are great! Something for every skill set. What started as a quick visit has turned into a new passion for each of us.

Fantastic experience: Lovely gym with tall walls. A smattering of auto belays. 55' walls and shorter ones upstairs. Very fun! And they have a hand washing station!

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, membership is same price as many gyms with way less facilities, you get access to 2 gyms, 2 fitness gyms, awesome locker rooms with showers, towels and soap included, yoga sessions, and honestly some of the best and interesting route setting i have climbed on.

Fantastic experience: A+ place. They had around 21 automated belay routes and tons of lead climbing routes. Definitely will be coming back here. Best place in the Gilbert valley for climbing. Orientation was quick and helpful for my wife who doesn’t rock climb. Staff was awesome!

Fantastic experience: This place has such good vibes. The staff is extremely friendly there are a ton of different routes and various levels. The workout faculty is good it just needs a squat rack and it would have everything you need. The spin bikes are some of the best spin bikes on the market and shows your wattage and tracks your progress. But I don’t go to a climbing gym for the weights I’m going to climb. The childrens section is perfect for my 3 year old and my 10 year old. Overall this place is amazing has great staff and not intimidating.

Fantastic experience: Alta is a fantastic gym. Tall walls, tons of lead, top rope and bouldering options. They have classes, a full gym and a play area for kids. All very clean and conducive to learning the sport. Would recommend to a friend.

Fantastic experience: Great modern climbing gym with fun routes and boulders, friendly staff, a good training area (2 spray walls, campus board, and hang board) and a solid weight gym. Bouldering grades here are sometimes really soft compared to other gyms, however, I highly recommend this gym to everyone looking for a fun climbing experience.

Fantastic experience: Farrrrr South East valley. Worth a stop to check it out. Friendly staff. And high 55 ft walls and some 30. Foot wash in the bathroom is a bonus!

Fantastic experience: It is the best rock climbing gym I have ever been to! They have great bouldering and climbing. The Olympic speed wall is great. The kids zone is great for kids that don't want a huge climb. but if you want big climbs they have it. It is the best gym for anyone. And they have a amazing work out room. The prices are great. I would recommend going to Alta climbing and fitness any day

Fantastic experience: If your in the mood for a fun workout definitely give Alta Climbing a try. Not only do they have a vast array of climbing facilities, they also have a weight gym, cycling and yoga classes. The staff is friendly and helpful. After signing all of the necessary waivers they take you through a number of education sessions. Depending on the size of your group it could take anywhere from 45 to over 60 minutes of training. Don't worry it's fun. You'll get to climb and use the facilities while you learn. It's a great place to bring young children. There's plenty to keep them busy. My family and I enjoyed the experience and we plan to come back again in the future.

Fantastic experience: I hosted a youth group event here during a Wednesday morning/afternoon. The staff and facility were 100% awesome! Helpful with setting up our climbers/instruction and also with the party room. Also, booking the space was easy with Deborah, communication was wonderful…we will be back for sure! PS. Affordability was another perk!

Fantastic experience: So much fun. My friend showed me the "kids" area. Tons of fun for the kids but just as much fun for the adults. I want to go back. With auto belay devices in some areas you don't have to have a belay partner to have a great time.

Fantastic experience: Awesome family time. We took 4 kids ages 4 thru 13 and none of them wanted to leave after 4 or 5 hrs. Lots of different variety. Some easy climbs and lots of super challenging climbs for those more expert climbers. Not super crowded on Saturday afternoon but even with more crowds, there are plenty of walls to spread out on. I would highly recommend Alta.

Fantastic experience: If you live out in the east valley and have been wanting a closer climbing gym, your prayers have been answered. This place is huge and I went during peak hours (Monday 4/5 pm) there’s enough space to spread out and climb multiple routes. Auto belays, bloudering, and lead if you have a partner. I’ve been to pretty much every gym in the valley and hands down this is the biggest, I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: My kiddos had a blast today at Alta Climbing. From the moment to getting their climbing gear to learning how to clip into their harness. I thought even after being there for a few hours they would be burned out and too tired to want to stay long but we ended up staying most of the day. We started in the morning then left to grab lunch and then came back for the rest or the afternoon. Deborah and Pam and the rest of the staff are super friendly. We will definitely be going back soon.

Fantastic experience: Between Alta Bouldering and Alta climbing, a climber can have their fix training different disciplines. Clean, big, spacious. Owners are invested in community and created a gym that is not just for working out but also family friendly . If you are a climber, you’ll be spoilt by the 50+ tall walls, great setting head up by one of the nation’s female top Routesetter. If you aren’t a climber yet, you are so lucky to start here… Go wild at Kids zone. Hot yoga studio with a splendid view. Muscle up in fitness and spin classes. Our favorite ? Say no more to post climbing smelly feet. This is the first time we’ve seen a specially designed foot washing area, complete with soap and a DRYER!! Talk about a 5 star gym. You might think you’re walking into the Marriott’s restroom. The Bouldering gym also offers towel service. Owners - Eric, Pam, Debra- are so friendly. Shout out to Eric who went out of his way to welcome and orientate us. We love this gym and can’t wait to see the positive impact they are bringing to this climbing community!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, with temporary caveats. The gym is all you could ask for. Clean, great routes and boulders, friendly staff, phone chargers in the cubbies!?! BUT, be aware that currently the auto belays are limited to a (super fun) play area. There are a few excellent routes there ranging from 5.5 to 5.11c, but it’s short and mainly for kids to play on fun features and walls. I was told that the plan is to add more autobelays to the big walls (and to add extra carabiners to retain the autobelays) but right now the autobelay situation is not optimal.

Fantastic experience: The owners are awesome and very friendly as well as the staff! Everyone there loves climbing and is willing to help even when we all didn’t know how to put on the harness. If you’re new to this like I was, I recommend this place because you’ll have people excited for you, willing to help you out and make sure you’re safe doing so! Also this place is huge.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have each only climbed a couple of times, so we’re definitely beginners. We felt completely comfortable and welcome at Alta. All staff members were friendly and professional, and they seemed genuinely happy to have novices among them. The facility is beautiful and clean, and there are many climbing routes and options. There is also a well-equipped gym with free weights and machines. It’s super cool to find a climbing gym that is family-friendly and welcoming to beginners while also providing plenty of challenging options for experienced climbers.

Fantastic experience: Tallest indoor climbing wall in Maricopa County! Alta has amazing routes, tall and beginner length walls, both auto belays and partner belays, top notch brand new harnesses, shoes, and GriGri belays - not to mention a great bouldering area, tons of shelving nooks, and a squeaky clean brand new facility. The owners are committed, experienced climbers and really know what they are doing. I was invited to a pre-grand opening event (not open to public) and climbed multiple routes and was able to walk around the facility. I'm excited to come back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gym to both new and experienced climbers. This will be my go-to indoor climbing facility in the future!
