Fantastic experience: The trainers at Foundation Fitness of Georgetown are effective, skilled and knowledgable. Whether your goal is to lose weight, get fit or prepare for a competition, you will meet your goals at Foundation Fitness. I have lost 55 pounds, got in shape and preparing for my first 5K. A lot of sweat, hard work & fun. In short, very rewarding.... Great value for the price~worth every cent!
Fantastic experience: I've always hated working out and I had real gym fear but everyone at Foundation Fitness is so kind and wonderful to work with. Michaela helped me enjoy the tough workouts and I even found myself doing some exercises while on vacation. I highly recommend Michaela!! I'm sad I moved away but it was a great experience at Foundation Fitness.
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here at foundation fitness. The staff was very accommodating to our needs in terms of the program for us. I think the biggest highlight was their ability to modify workouts to cater to our physical needs/restrictions and areas of improvement. Also the staff was just overall always happy to be there and passionate about fitness!

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a serious and caring training experience look no further, Foundation Fitness is the best! Patrick interviewed us first, and made sure he understood our needs. Kimior is our trainer at the Georgetown branch. My daughter was transitioning from several years of ballet and needed to learn her own training and body caring routine. The experience has included nutrition classes also. We couldn't be more happy.
Fantastic experience: I've been working out at Foundation Fitness of Georgetown for 6 months and it's been a great experience. The trainers are friendly, knowledgable and have helped me toward my goals. They provide a lot of variety in their workouts and make sure that I'm working primary and secondary muscles. I've spent most of my time with Michaela and would recommend her to everyone. She provides good recommendations on technique, pushes me out of my comfort zone and helps me train in ways that I couldn't on my own. She's easy to talk to and fun to be around, so the workouts go quick.
Fantastic experience: I have been very happy with my training at Foundation Fitness. My trainer (Michaela) is awesome. She does a great job of tailoring my workouts (using free weights, plyos, and stretching) to my goals. The gym itself has good equipment and is no-frills, which probably allows for the reasonable prices. I highly recommend checking them out!
Fantastic experience: I was really dreading returning to the gym after a couple of COVID years working out at home- and I was skeptical I’d be able to accomplish more in a gym environment than I was able to on my own at home… but a friend told me about Foundation Fitness and I’m so grateful! It has totally changed my thinking about gyms and what I can do! The trainers are amazing. You walk in and it’s a VIP experience every time. You don’t feel like you’re walking into a big box gym and getting lost in the crowd at all. You get custom workouts with your trainer who knows you and your goals every time AND there’s no awkwardly navigating sharing equipment or trying to figure out new ways to challenge your body. Just outsource the thinking to the experts!! I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and genuinely look forward to going to the gym. I even miss it on off days! Highly, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Professionalism , Quality I have been working out with Kimior at Foundation Fitness for about 2 months now. The gym has everything you need and is rarely crowded (usually only me and another person with our trainers). Kimior has really tailored my workouts to me and I actually enjoy working out for the first time in awhile!
Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Fitness Foundation Georgetown enough! I have been training with them since June 2021. My trainer is Michaela and I am so happy with my fitness results. I love how they tailor your fitness plan to you. I highly recommend this gym. They have a clean facility, friendly staff that give you positive marks so you keep reaching your goals. Kimior is also great, he gives excellent tips on nutrition and answers any fitness questions I may have. 5 stars across the board! Fantastic experience: I joined FF about one month ago, and I’d definitely recommend it. My trainer, Michaela is encouraging, very thorough with her explanations and visuals to demonstrate proper technique and form and her workouts vary (including boxing to spice things up) and are NOT boring. The gym is organized, clean (disinfected after each round), and has a large variety of equipment. It’s never crowded (usually just me and maybe one other person training): communication (via apps and texts) is good.
Fantastic experience: Foundation fitness has been an excellent experience so far! I have been working out with Michaela for three months and already see the changes I was hoping for. Michaela is challenging and will make you work hard every minute of the session! I would highly recommend her! The gym is clean and offers a more private experience than larger gyms that I have been a member of. Sometimes I am the only client in the gym! Every session has been different and tailored towards my personal fitness goals. The equipment is well maintained and there is such a variety! I would highly recommend foundation fitness to anyone looking for a private personal training experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent review for Foundation Fitness. I had been training for a bit over a month and saw significant improvements. Not only will one get excellent personal training (accompanied by boxing! Fantastic experience: Foundation Fitness is amazing! As a high school senior my schedule is constantly shifting but the staff and my trainer Michaela have been so flexible and willing to adapt to my needs. It's been about 2 months and I've already seen so much progress with not only with weight loss, but also increased strength. Michaela has also been incorporating boxing into my sessions which has been so much fun! I highly recommend Foundation Fitness anyone who's considering joining... Just do it!
Fantastic experience: Foundation Fitness is an amazing gym! I have been training with Kimior for a month now, and the results are already amazing. He tailors the workouts to your own personal fitness and body goals, and his knowledge of health and fitness is extensive. He is also so nice and makes working out fun! I used to hate working out, but now I look forward to every Tuesday and Thursday that I get to go to Foundation Fitness.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic personal gym and Ryan Blake is a world class trainer. He is dedicated to ensuring you are using the correct form while creating challenging, fun, and always changing workouts. 45mins with him is never boring. He has created workouts to meet my needs, work with my triathlon training schedule, and accommodate minor injuries. I have increased my cardio capacity, strength, and ability to lift ever increasing weight safely. I have toned my body and remained strong. I highly recommend Ryan.
Fantastic experience: Foundation fitness is an incredible training space and has totally transformed my life. I’ve always been a big gym goer, but my sessions with Ryan Blake totally changed the way I train, the way I relate to food and the shape of my body. If you want a stellar results go for the “Body by Blake” training experience. You’ll love to hate him and more to it love the results.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to Foundation Fitness on and off (I was going to school in California) for over a year and highly recommend! I have been training with Ryan who has been amazing in helping me achieve my health goals. His sessions are both fun and challenging. Additionally, I had very little experience working out and Ryan was always helpful when answering all my questions. If you or someone you know is looking for a trainer I would recommend coming in for a consultation at this location!
Fantastic experience: Ryan is the trainer that I love to hate! He is incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and the human body and he is always pushing me to be as strong as I can be. He is patient when he needs to be and strict when he sees me slacking. I look forward to my workouts with Ryan. He has made me a better person and athlete. Fantastic experience: Highly recommended. Been working out 8 months at this location. I am now 25 pounds lighter, have 3-4% less body fat and am stronger than I’ve been in a very long time. Still have progress to make. Been training with Ryan for 4 months and he has been excellent. He has the right combo of challenging and risk-aware. The latter due to the fact that I’m in my early 50s and this can be more prone to injury than a 20 or 30-something. I particularly appreciate his constant reinforcement of the right form to use when doing any kind of weight training The location is always clean and orderly, All the staff are friendly and it feels like a genuine community.
Fantastic experience: A great class called Fat Burn with Kimior. Awesome conditioning and I loved the individual attention to form. Haven't felt so challenged for a long time. Hope to come back again with my husband. If you have 45 mins, I highly recommend this class at noon. Unique exercises and a well rounded circuit training. 470 calories in 53 minutes . yay!
Fantastic experience: Foundation fitness has been the sole reason I got back into fitness. It is an extraordinary gym that has exceeded all of my expectations. The staff is phenomenal and works with me/creates workouts that I enjoy but also push me to my goals. I have never felt stronger nor healthier than I have after working out at this gym. 10/10 recommended getting a membership here!

Fantastic experience: This place is GREAT! I hate exercising....and Patrick and Ryan keep me at it. I feel great after my workouts and have seen a marked difference in my stamina, energy, and over-all fitness. Ryan keeps me motivated to keep it up, especially on days when I'm not feeling up to it. The team has been more than accommodating of my schedule. After working out here it would be hard to go anywhere else.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to Foundation Fitness Georgetown for almost a year now. My daughter introduced me to her trainer Kimior because I wanted to lose weight and get in better shape. Foundation Fitness is clean and well equipped. Kimior is enthusiastic and motivating. My workouts are challenging and varied so I'm never bored. I've lost more than 50 lbs and look forward to my next session!
Fantastic experience: Foundation Fitness has a nice gym and great trainers. The sessions are 45 minute blocks with solo warmup before. They're just the right length and intensity.

Fantastic experience: I started working out at Foundation Fitness last April. My goal was to strengthen my core to feel stronger and so I don't get injured. After nearly a year, I feel stronger and more confident. The weight I can lift has nearly tripled since I started. I have worked out with a few different trainers, and while each is different, they have all been great—really focused on my goals and what I want to get out of the workout. I regularly work out with Ryan, who is constantly bringing new workouts to the table and is also excellent at helping with mobility and stretching. The gym is high energy but never over-crowded or filled with intimidating people. The general vibe is positive and upbeat. I've worked out at a few different large gyms in the DC area over the years. Working out at a personal training gym in a one-on-one setting is very different, and if you can swing it, I highly recommend trying it out.
Fantastic experience: I discovered this gym through class pass and am now a full time member. This gym is great! There’s parking, the equipment is nice, the bathrooms are stocked with toiletries, and there’s a nespresso machine. The boot camps and other classes are never overcrowded and I always get a good workout. Sometimes I even have the class to myself. It feels like personal training every time.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been working out with Ryan at FF since November. I’ve worked with other trainers at other gyms in the past, and it’s easy to say that FF has been the best of the best. Without being a drill sergeant, Ryan gets me to push myself, both with my workouts and nutrition. I feel stronger and more confident. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great trainers and a great facility. The price is super reasonable, especially for a gym in Georgetown. As a student, I have been able to create goals, a workout schedule and price that work for me and I already feel stronger after just over a month. Their challenges (which win you free sessions) are also fun :) Would definitely recommend!
Fantastic experience: I've been working with Kimior for several months now. This has been my first experience with a personal trainer, and I'm shocked at what a difference it makes to work with someone as good as him. Although I've worked my entire life to stay fit, I am finally seeing the results I've been looking for. Kimior mixes it up constantly, keeping me interested and motivated while accommodating an old shoulder injury. He's incredibly flexible with his schedule, and responsive to texts and emails. Kimior has provided me with sound nutrition advice as well as suggestions for on-my-own workouts. I highly recommend him and his team at Foundation Fitness: great studio, great guy, great results.
Fantastic experience: Foundation Fitness Georgetown is terrific. The facilities are great, they have parking, and they let you use the gym even if you're not in a training session. All of the trainers there are incredibly friendly and professional. My husband and I do weekly training sessions with Devin, who has a terrific attitude, and the results speak for themselves! Fantastic experience: I joined Foundation Fitness only a couple of weeks ago but I'm already psyched. The way I feel about myself changed a lot because of the great workouts that I get there and the amazing support from all the trainers. I feel so much more comfortable working out with a professional than by myself. It feels great to have someone who answers all my questions about nutrition and puts together the perfect plan for me to achieve my goals. My motivation changed a lot and I really enjoy the time I spend at Foundation Fitness!
Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at Foundation Fitness. The trainers are very knowledgeable and motivating, and I am very happy with the progress I have made. I definitely workout with better form and greater intensity there than when I worked out by myself at other gyms. I made little progress working out by myself, but since joining 18 months ago my strength has increased considerably and I have added about 26lbs of muscle. I selected Foundation Fitness at the recommendation of one of my good friends and would recommend their facilities and trainers to anyone interested in personal training.
Fantastic experience: I joined Foundation Fitness about 2 years ago after more than a decade of barely going to the gym at all. Before joining Foundation Fitness, several times over that period I joined big box gyms but I didn't haven't the discipline to workout consistently, and my diet was just awful. I knew that if I wanted to get truly fit again, I'd have to get some professional help in training and setting appropriate fitness goals (I'm in my mid 30's now), and starting eating properly. The guys at Foundation Fitness (Devon and Patrick) put me on the correct diet (calories target and macro-nutrient balance), and are crucial in keeping my form correct in the gym and keeping me motivated and working hard. Frankly, I can't imagine ever working out by myself again. This is the way to do it. Plus, you'll meet other like-minded people who are working just as hard as you to achieve their personal fitness goals. Whether you're just trying to get back to the great shape of your youth, or perhaps when you were a competitive athlete, Foundation Fitness will get you on track. Many of their staff are athletes/former athletes, and they know what it takes to get fit and avoid/take care of injuries as well, which is so important, especially as you age. As far as personal progress, in the first year I cut about 20 lbs. of fat and gained 10 lbs. of muscle. In my second year, the progress has continued. My diet is healthier than ever and I have so much more energy now day and night than I've had in the last 10+ years. This is really important to me since I have three small and very active children, and I can wear them out playing rather than the other way around. Just recently, my fitness has gotten to the point where I'm getting back to playing competitive tennis. This is only possible because of the diet, strength and fitness training programs at Foundation Fitness.
Fantastic experience: At Foundation Fitness I always get a great work out and am lifting significantly more weight than I have in the past and I have never gotten hurt. I've been working out here for three years and really enjoy the people and the workouts. My trainer, Devin, is top notch. He is excellent at figuring out the best exercises, he gives great practical nutrition advise and is a true stickler for form. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who seriously wants to get/ stay in shape.
Fantastic experience: I first visited Foundation Fitness through ClassPass and then got a membership because I liked it so much. The classes are designed for all levels and I promise you will get to challenge yourself in a fun(tastic) way. The trainers are very knowledgable, professional and motivated. It is one of those workouts that you look forward to already in the morning and throughout the day. And the best part is that I already feel and see the changes in my body after a few weeks of Bootcamp :D
Fantastic experience: Ellis Jones is an outstanding trainer - personalized program to serve your needs. Plenty of equipment to keep things interesting. Definitely the best choice if you want one on one training to reach a specific goal. I highly recommend both Ellis and Foundation Fitness. A first rate operation!
Fantastic experience: I've been going to Foundation for about 3 years. They are very nice, patient, and encouraging. They meet you where you are, leverage your strengthens, to make you look and feel healthy. The half hour sessions fit in nicely with my schedule, too. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Love these guys!!! I've been working out at the Del Ray location for about 8 months now and am having a great time. Staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about challenging me at every workout. always something different and always a good workout. Check them out!!
