Fantastic experience: Open 24 hours a day, also I switched my primary care doctor and chiropractor to those at the Omni and they are awesome! Full service, basic membership gets you almost everything -- two pools, one with a lift chair I use, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, clean, friendly service - lots of classes if you want them!

Fantastic experience: I am an ex boxing champ and had not been in a steam room for decades. So this YMCA had boxing equipment and afterwards, I hit the steam room for three minutes shadowboxing for the last 90 seconds. I sweat heavily and upon exiting I periodically took sips of water as I sat down near the water fountain an employee check on me as I was continually perspiring and about a minute later he bought back a second employee to check on this soon to be 68 yrs young "me" I then arose shadow boxed for another 30+ seconds took another sip of water and thanked God that I was sensible not to overdue my workout as as a disabled Viet era Air Force Veteran. P.s. thank God also for the attentative staff st the Schererville Family YMCA

Fantastic experience: Large & great schedule open til 11pm. Unfortunately the pool closes @9 or 9:30 & usually it’s the 20yd pool only, so I have to arrive even earlier if I want to swim in the 25 yd pool or to get laps in even for the 20 yd pool. I look forward to trying out the 25yd salt water pool. Much healthier. Love that they have steam, sauna AND whirlpool in women’s locker room + a huge exercise gym with lots of equipment. And the water massage chair that I added to my membership is the icing on the cake before I leave

Fantastic experience: This is my 3rd time a YMCA and this is the best one and the clean one I have been to yet.. The staffs was wonderful helping us get checked in very friendly. Thanks Ladies

Fantastic experience: I had one not cool experience from someone that worked there but the place is too awesome to allow that to stop me from coming. Fun classes. And a Cafe that make great smoothies. A place where kids can hang out while you are working out. One of my favorite places.

Fantastic experience: Was so excited when the YMCA came to our town. They are a great facility. Very very reasonable monthly rates. Go to about 2 classes a day.

Fantastic experience: So far all I experienced was the pool. I went as a guest, & then we went to the changing room & showers to change into our suits. They do provide towels if you need it, I'm not sure about anything else yet. When you 1st walk into the room the pool is in, it smells nice. Not an overwhelming chlorine smell, & it's slightly warm & really comfortable. On the shallow end, the right side of the pool was roped off for training, the left side was teaching a couple kids to swim. The only place we could really go was the deep end & it's 10 FEET!! The water is also slightly warm, which is awesome! I thought I would have to gradually lower myself in, but nope! There were I think 2 lifeguards watching everyone, I really liked that. I will definitely go back!!

Positive experience: They have a good free weights area but are limited on only the exercise machines and sometimes one might be broken for a while before it’s fixed. They don’t staff enough people so the place sometimes looks messy, especially outside. They have a nice lap pool but have limited hours of operation.

Positive experience: So far it's okay it's doable. Younger crowd than before. Just joined back. I waited to join because I went to Hawaii during winter . Haven't tried pool yet. Some machines have missing hooks that you have to get off another machine. Don't know why? Maybe some one stealing them. They cannot be that expensive or hard to replace. Plenty of aerobic type machines at least and the 3 ???? stars are for the immaculate shower/ locker room ( at least the men's)

Fantastic experience: Very nice facility. Very clean. Great walking track inside. Nice little cafe. Ladies locker room very nice and clean. At this time I am just walking but do plan to start using workout machines. Huge workout area with all types of equipment.

Fantastic experience: Visited to check out the changes that they made. I Wish their class offering were better it is a large busy place had to search for a parking space at 10in the morning wondered about how it is in a peak time I wish the traffic was not so bad to get there or I would have joined

Fantastic experience: Since YMCA took over there's new equipment & things are much cleaner. The membership prices also went down significantly. The one downside is that it's no longer open 24/7.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and organized. New layout is so much better. No longer looks like some old folks facility. (And I’m old!). Omni was a dump with old machines. Most machines are brand new and they have way more personnel caring for the facilities. A big improvement.

Fantastic experience: Would like the cleaning staff to know how much I appreciate the sanitary conditions of the club. The floors and equipment are extremely clean as well as the locker rooms. The new procedures of entering the club makes me feel safe, I appreciate the efforts of Alice Cowart and her team to assure that Omni is combating the Covid Pandemic by providing a sanitary environment for the members to work out in.

Fantastic experience: Zumba is the best here! Gladys the instructor is great!! She's easy to follow & the class is always high energy & so very fun!!

Fantastic experience: I drive half an hour for this gym because it is so much better than the others! So far I have had personal training with Dina, Lisa, and Ed. Thorough instructions, effective exercises, and wonderful people...all 3! The biggest problem you will have with trainers here...is deciding between all of the fantastic options. Join this gym for all kinds of reasons: pools, classes galore, pickle ball, ping pong, top notch equipment, the track and more.

Fantastic experience: Huge gym with great amenities and anything you possibly would want to do. A member ship to a similar gym in the city is hundreds of dollars. This is the most expensive membership in the area - Membership, plus towel service, plus a locker runes me $72 a month but you are certainly getting more than your money's worth.

Fantastic experience: A great health club where everyone feels welcome. Staff are very friendly and offer options depending upon your fitness level. This isn't like other clubs where you are there more to be "seen " rather than to exercise.

Fantastic experience: Overall Omni is a great and affordable gym that is conveniently open 24hrs which allows me to squeeze in gym time during irregular hours. That being said I decided to go to the gym on Christmas Eve since the gym was again conveniently open until 3pm. I got off work at 2pm changed in the car while I was driving and rushed to Omni showed up around 2:30pm and they told me that I could not fully enter the building being that they closed at 3pm. I insisted that I would be quick and that half an hour is plenty time to run a 3 mile or get in a quick pump some other way. They politely told me sorry no and I left. I understand that the employees wanted to get out on time and enjoy the holiday with their families but I pay for a membership and I expect to be able to use said membership during posted hours. I checked online and nowhere did it state that they would be denying entry after a certain time. I drove all the way there just to find out that I had wasted my time. I have had several other small issues with this gym and the staff but overall I am happy with the gym and just wanted to vent a little online since none of my friends and family seemed to care. I felt as though the staff did not care at all about me getting a workout in on that day or the time I wasted arriving before closing time and insisting that I would be done beforehand. I understand that this is not a great injustice and it seems petty to complain about but I wasted my time driving there and my time is very important to me. (Not really it took me like 15 minutes to write this lol.) This review does not reflect Omni as a whole just this one bad experience that I thought was worth reporting. Randy from Omni called me a couple days after I left this review and apologized for the inconvenience he was very genuine and seemed like a really nice guy and he assured me that nothing like this would ever happen again. Fantastic experience: Simply put oh, this is everything a gym is supposed to be. It has everything! We have the pool, we have the sauna, the weights, a section for women, an indoor track, and all of the cardio equipment you want. For one low price, you get all of that, plus the classes are included. You can't beat it.

Fantastic experience: Joined up about two weeks ago and haven't been more excited to start my fitness journey. SO much to offer from classes to weights to basketball and swimming! Love this place plus they're open 24/7 so that's perfect for those of us with late night jobs

Fantastic experience: Love my gym! I've been going for years and they are always doing improvements and updates so it stays very nice inside and out. Everyone is super nice here and friendly, so if you have questions they are easy to talk to. They have a swimming pool, inside track to walk or run, volley ball, tennis, racquet ball, saunas, group exercises, personal training and a bunch of new fitness machines so you have plenty of options. And if you work up an appetite they have a cute little cafe with a bunch of food options hot & cold. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place!!! Free 2 hour a day daycare for kids m-f until 8pm!! Great staff, indoor track, classes, CrossFit training, pools, racquetball, hot tubs, sauna...I am so happy this is so close to home!! Me and the wife can go together to the gym now! If it was not I would drive 30 minutes to go here...so worth it. Everything you need in a health club. The world needs more of these.

Fantastic experience: Omni is a great workout facility with friendly people. They offer fitness classes, personal trainers, lots of equipment, a separated women's workout area, two pools, showers, sauna, steam room, a walk/running track, racket ball courts, basket ball, volleyball, locker rooms, and a snack bar. The monthly fee is $50, and you do have to sign a six month contract. I definitely think it's worth the money.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, friendly staff, amazing and clean locker rooms! I love this fitness center more than any other gym/fitness center I’ve gone to or worked at. Two huge pools, hot tub, steam room, sauna, private showers, plenty of machines and equipment, indoor track and volleyball/basketball courts, varying sized lockers with BUILT-IN LOCKS, spin room, racquetball courts, table tennis, free classes, lounge area, cafe... and on top of all that, the front desk staff remembers my name, makes friendly small talk, and even remembers that I request two towels (paid towel service). My only complaint is that the sauna/steam room/hot tub have relatively frequent service issues. I know that’s not really OMNI’s fault, which is why I still gave five stars.

Fantastic experience: Mostly everyone is friendly it has a lot of work out equipment it's clean.even though they need to split the basketball court evenly with people who want to shoot ball and who want to play other games on the court.

Fantastic experience: The other reviewer is just a troll. This is a clean gym. And I love the staff! Weird how some people can give such a different opinion. This is the best gym ever! Even when I'm lazy and don't get a chance to go, I never cancel my membership because there is no better gym out there. So much to do here!

Fantastic experience: Nice place to get a real mixed workout from machines to free weights, swimming to racket ball, volleyball to basketball. It's a good place to feel great after a workout.
