Fantastic experience: An excellent gym to work out no matter what your fitness goals are but I wish it was open at least a little later or 24/7 because the set up of this gym would easily allow it, not to mention enabling the gym to charge more for this convenience to its members.

Fantastic experience: Better Fit is by far the best gym I’ve ever belonged to! The owner Larry is clearly passionate about fitness and keeps the facility spotless. You are always greeted with a smile. It’s like having a personal trainer for $27 a month, how amazing is that! Larry tailors a program just for you and adjusts as you progress. I highly recommend for anyone from beginners to advanced they have what you need here. Best of all you always feel welcome, only positive vibes here!

It has all the equipment I need and the people that work here AND workout here are wonderful. I have never experienced such a strong feeling of belonging at a gym before. Larry, the owner, said hello to me by name the second time he met me and just that small gesture showed me how dedicated he is to get to know each member and make you feel welcome. I also LOVE the inspirational quotes written on the two whiteboards and make sure to read them each time I am there. The first day I went, one whiteboard said "How hard are you willing to work for it?" and now whenever I question whether or not I feel like going to the gym, I say that to myself and I am there!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over a year and I love it. The hours are great, it is convenient, affordable and there is a wide variety of equipment for the workout you want. Larry is great and is very willing to work with you to help with a workout or to create a workout for you based on what your needs are. Well worth investing in this gym!

Other places say " no judgement" but this place doesn't need to state anything....Great place for beginners, or anyone who realized it's about being healthy. Fantastic experience: Better Fit is keeping us mentally and physically healthy during this crazy pandemic! I always am able to get a workout timeslot and am able to go as much as I'd like during the week. I have been waiting for a gym like this for many years. There is a wonderful community feeling of thise working and attending the gym. This place is low key and relaxing but at the same time makes you miss it when you skip a day, which helps keep you focused and engaged. Larry is super kind and a friendly face to help customize your workouts to your goals. He strives to greet you by name every time you check in and his mother Sharon is also friendly and personable when Larry has time off. Great location, hours, and equipment. The place is always clean and organized. Great Community gym for Standish with plenty of parking!

Fantastic experience: Better Fit is an awesome place to work out. Larry and his staff are always available for questions and help. Larry has given me workouts that are making me stronger and always checks in to see how it’s going. Signing up through the app is easy. Temperatures are taken upon arrival and all clients are respectful of space. The gym is cleaned on a frequent basis. These workouts are getting me through the stress of teaching this year. Fantastic experience: Price point is awesome!! I’ve been to a lot of gyms over the years and you don’t always get the best service and communication but you do at Better fit. Larry truely has a passion for helping people and I’m never afraid to ask him questions about what I should do for a workout. With covid I couldn’t be happier that the gym is open again. Fantastic experience: Better Fitness is an awesome gym! Very comfortable environment to work out in and easy to get appointments during COVID. Signing up two days in advance for any gym slot has never been an issue for me and I work out here 3 days a work on top of a busy work schedule. Larry is always kind and accommodating. Completely willing to help any member with their gym routine at any time. He also is extremely community oriented and is always giving back to local events and charities whenever he can. I was considering going to another gym when I started my workout regimen but Larry's place was recommended to me by a friend and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I have made. Fantastic experience: Better Fit Fitness Center cares for each and every member! I have seen over the last two weeks while being a new member that Larry goes above and beyond to make this fitness center work for everyone. He has taken all necessary steps to protect against COVID-19 as well including installing a special air filtration system to battle this virus. The scheduling APP keeps the number of member in the center at one time to meet the current state regulations. I have had no issues at all seeing what time frames are available. I have a back injury that has caused me a lot of grief staying active. Larry's professional training will help me to create a safe workout with my limitations. I have full confidence that joining this center will give me back my ability to be in the best shape possible. I highly recommend this fitness center for our community. *****

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym I have ever belonged to. Lots of equipment, friendly knowledgeable owner & excellent staff. Very involved in the community. Supportive of all members. Even has a special time for high school students to work out together. Has great COVID protocols and even before COVID was the cleanest gym around. Love this place and would give 10 stars if I could!

Fantastic experience: Standish is truly blessed to have this gym. The owner goes to great lengths to make his members’ experience positive. The gym is well-equipped and set-up for a good flow. He has invested in making the gym space safe during this pandemic and is a VERY dedicated trainer. The membership fees and billing are affordable and convenient. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Small town gym that doesn't have that big chain feel you get with some other gyms. Friendly members, nice modern equipment, good hours and a great owner (Larry) that Has a smile on his face and knows your name when you walk through the door. Fantastic experience: I've joined a few gym's over the years, my lack of knowledge on how to use the equipment and nobody willing to help made my memberships very short. I found Better Fit Fitness During Covid-19 when Maine was shut down. Larry offered free online workouts 3 times a day to everyone, not just members, I was hooked! I joined the gym a few months ago and really enjoy going. Per my request Larry made up a routine for me and stayed by my side until I was ready to do it alone. Any time I want to learn a piece of equipment, a stretch etc. Larry is always there to assist. Checking in is simple with the app and spots are almost always available in the times I'm available to go. I feel very comfortable at this gym and to me that is most important.

Fantastic experience: This is the most personalized gym experience I’ve ever had. I have never felt right in the bigger corporate gyms and I more than get what I pay for here. I love all the people, everyone is super supportive and welcomed me with open arms. Best gym ever. Hands down. I’ll commute to get here if I ever move. Having Larry to teach me everything because I know nothing is an amazing benefit too. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to be!

Fantastic experience: Better Fit Fitness Center is a very comfortable, clean gym with new equipment and a trainer (if you want) for a very reasonable price. Sign up is very easy with the glofox app, with different times available. You can sign up 48 hours in advance to always be guaranteed a spot. It definitely helps you be accountable for your workouts therefore your goals. The owner, Larry, has gone above and beyond with the COVID restrictions to keep the gym safe and to make each member feel just that. I feel at ease knowing that Larry and his staff are always cleaning in between each group of members. Definitely an asset to Standish and the community.

Fantastic experience: Better Fit is exactly what I need. The gym answers all of my criteria: local, clean, accommodating...(has everything I need for a good work out), personal trainer on site (Larry is great and will advise you what you need to get the results you want). Best part...everyone is friendly and the place has that home town feel that I really appreciate. Even having COVID throwing a curve ball...it still works out perfectly for me.
