Fantastic experience: This, by far, is the best gym around. My trainer, Kristen, is great. She works me hard. I am developing muscles, which I haven't had in years. They have a private women's exercise room. I highly recommend this gym ️‍♂️. Kristen is a great trainer. If you are looking for someone to motivate you choose Kristen. Oh, I failed to mention that I'm 71.

Fantastic experience: It's a large gym with great equipment plenty of room. Two of the same machines for specific body parts means no wait for use. Front desk staff are very friendly. Great prices. And it's 24/7.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I live in Columbia SC. We visit family in Myrtle Beach frequently. My husband joined and brought me in with him this weekend. I absolutely loved the gym. It is by far my favorite place to work out. I wish we had one in Columbia. Will def be returning when I’m in town.

Positive experience: Really nice gym. It's busy in the mornings, but everyone's pretty serious about getting in a workout and getting out. Good staff. Plenty of clean equipment. The old dudes screaming like Olympic champions is somewhat disturbing. Say something, trainers. Otherwise, good place. Good price. Plenty of parking. There's something for everyone here. Glad I joined.

Fantastic experience: This was a very clean workout facility. The front desk workers had great customer service skills and the zumba class was awesome. The zumba instructor was very friendly, as well as the class participants. It was a fun experience!

Fantastic experience: I am currently on a trial period here at American fitness. I like that they have a Sauna here!!! It feels like a real gym. Not a cookie cutter kind of gym. Staff was nice and respectful. I didn't feel any pressure. Clean facilities too. Might be Making the switch, even though this gym is 30 min away from me. But I like the feel Of it!

Fantastic experience: A great place to work out, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the equipment, plenty of equipment to choose from, it wasn't too crowded when I visited however I do believe it most likely could get busier at certain times of the day. It was clean. It had very nice locker rooms with a sauna in the corner which I liked. Overall it is a very nice gym. I would like to point out that there are a few minor details here and there that might need to be fixed, a simple repair here and there, nothing really worth mentioning other than that. But I liked it, I had a good experience and I will most definitely be working out there again.

And if you need one on one to meet your goals, they have it. And they have a Cryogenic room to compliment your exercise plan. WOW doesn't say enough! Make sure you bring your smile!

Fantastic experience: Great gym!! Very helpful and friendly staff. Lots of machines and lot of different classes lead by the gym instructors to choose from all of which are included in the base membership. The gym is 24 hrs. It also has a tanning bed that's included in the membership. The cross fit room has a phone charger and adapter which allows you to play music from your phone over the speakers in the room which is really cool. The locker rooms are very nice and very spacious. The showers are huge with great water pressure. The locker rooms also include a very nice hot sauna also included in base membership and with unlimited use. We've been a part of a lot of different gyms and these is by far our favorite and most recommended. All these things are included in the base membership for only $40 a month!!

Fantastic experience: Trained in gyms all over the US and abroad. American fitness for one has 24 hr access. It will accommodate any schedule. Unlike most gyms, the equipment is very well maintained. Whether you are young old, into fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting their equipment accommodates everyone. Also on most popular machines they have duplicate machines so you don't have to stand and wait unlike the overcrowded purple place. If you are new to working out, many of the new fangled machines are designed to make money and look cool sitting on a gym floor to attract new unsuspecting members. But many of those machines are NOT built to build muscle or be forgiving on the joints or tendons. The quality and variety of equipment however at AG is Incredible. The showers and locker rooms are far nicer than any I have seen elsewhere. Great quality clientele. The rates are superb for any gym. But for what American Fitness offers they are an exceptional value. It is not overcrowded. They Also offer yoga, aerobics, boot camps the list goes on. The staff seems to be very polite and accommodating. Oh, many gyms are polluted with drug trafficking of all types. Did not observe such behavior. FYI don't know the owner, or any one there, not a part owner or any such thing. So this is not a BS post. People always want to complain. I like to give credit where credit is due. I heard about the place from another guy; I have worked out there twice to see if I want to join. I am this week. I will drive 20 miles out of my way to work out here it's that good. Mikey Mash, former competitive body builder, model for GNC. Business man. Fantastic experience: As a bodybuilder, this gym perfectly suited my needs during my vacation. For only $40 for a week, you get access to a MUCH greater value. The gym is quite spacious; I never really waited for a bench or machine. If I did, there was another similar option for me to opt in. I use a healthy mix of plate-loaded equipment alongside machines, and American Fitness easily met and exceeded all of my expectations. There is an extensive selection of free weights, split into a few different areas so as to not create traffic. Squat racks, deadlift platforms, and more are available here. This gym is also outfitted with a juice bar, equipped with a number of smoothie and protein shake options. They even offer pre-workout if you so happened to forget yours. The owner of this gym happens to also be the owner of IMSOALPHA, which is a big deal if you’re at all current in the bodybuilding world. Naturally, American Fitness carries the majority of the IMSOALPHA supplement offerings (along with a few other quality brands), and can quickly order anything they may not have. The value is unbeatable and the staff is some of the friendliest I’ve encountered in the large number of gyms I’ve visited over the last few years. I can’t wait to come back next year! Don’t make your vacation your weakness—team up with American Fitness!

Fantastic experience: One of the best gyms that i have been to in Myrtle Beach. They maintain a lot of their equipment. So many different free weights and machines for different exercises. Very affordable and a nice atmosphere for all ages. When signed up they are open 24/7. No matter what time it is or when you get off work they will be open.

Fantastic experience: Just got a membership and all I can say is wow! This facility is clean and the equipment is very well maintained. The 24hr access is what sold me and the few times I've been between the hours of 10pm and 2am I've felt so comfortable almost like it was my very own at home gym.

Fantastic experience: Just spent a week at the gym while I was on vacation. It’s clean and very well maintained. I wish this was my home gym! Everyone I spoke with at the counter was friendly and helpful. Very large and has a crossfit room, another room with more/extra dumbells and squat racks and other rooms for classes. Clean and expansive locker rooms too. Paid $40 for a 7 day pass. Totally worth it.

Fantastic experience: I trained in this facility twice the week I was visiting Garden City Beach in August of 2018 for vacation and all I can say is WOW! The staff and the members were super friendly and accomodating and that can be a challenge for a competative powerlifter like myself. I highly recommend training at this facility if you get the chance. They had a wide variety of equipment and plenty of weight for big lifts. I was very impressed that they had a "POWER ROOM" specifically for the big 3.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I both got week passes while we were on vacation. The price was fair. The facility was well maintained, the locker rooms were impressively clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. There was not a single machine or piece of equipment that was out of service. My wife didn't feel like she was out of place when she was training which is important for her. The power room had some cool old school machines but the one thing that felt odd was there was one squat rack, one of those cumbersome behemoth Hammerstrength power rack and a Smith machine with no real place to do deadlifts without taking up the power rack. We will definitely be back next time we are down.

Fantastic experience: This place is not a gym... it's my second home! I love everything about this gym from the equipment to use, to the staff and the owners! It has equipment for anyone to use, classes, and trainers through fitbody all on site! I will not be taking my business anywhere else until the day I move (if that ever happens), and even I may consider commuting just to come here! Overall, GREAT PLACE TO WORK OUT!!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, even for the far from profession/avid exerciser like myself. This place is immaculate, temperature controlled for comfort and the staff are friendly and helpful. You cannot beat the price. They have great machines that all work and function properly which says they care. I'm pretty sure they provide this gym because they genuinely enjoy having people work out with ease. It's so nice to not feel judged and to be greeted by the staff every visit. I urge anyone to stop by and see what packages they offer and get a your. It's beautiful and well spaced out, making working out here very pleasant.
