Gold's Gym - Rockville (Wintergreen)

Fantastic experience: A nice gym with plenty of equipment and friendly staff to help you when you need it. The trainers are great: very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I train with Bianca and before I started, I never thought I'd actually want to go to a gym. Working with her has completely changed my perspective on exercise and fitness. A couch potato no more!

Fantastic experience: A great neighborhood gym with lots of equipment and classes. I have been using this gym for a couple of years. The staff is courteous and knowledgable and I have been working with a great personal trainer, Bianca Eulitz.

Fantastic experience: 10++ years as "Fitness First" member, now "Golds Gym"! So many +ve changes, & delighted to see that Golds recognized the great employees/staff in-place & what assets they are to Golds Gym! Specifically, Patty Noyes, Manager who always goes the extra mile for new and existing clients, with the utmost professionalism, knowledge & it shows how much she loves her job because I've enjoyed referring friends/family to her ... and now they're Golds Gym Members! Fantastic experience: Great gym with lots of great equipment, classes, and staff. Staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging. I like several changes since this Fitness First facility was taken over by Gold's Gym. The current 12-week Fitness Challenge is a good idea. It is motivating me to set goals and do more, although I do wish that the specific Challenge events offered--Bootcamps--were not so hard on aging knees! I really couldn't take advantage of them and wish a couple of levels had been offered.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Has everything you need if you are looking to build muscle or just get some quick exercise in. Front desk staff is helpful and pleasant. Particularly Mark who will remember your name and check you in without having to scan. The gym is also clean and just recently updated a lot of their equipment.

Fantastic experience: Spacious and clean gym with all of the free weights and cardio equipment that I need. I just moved from San Antonio, which hosts some of the dirtiest and densely populated gyms in the US. Glad to have a cleaner atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the many, many options of group fitness classes that this location offers. Mia is the BEST Zumba teacher I’ve ever had and I’ll follow her wherever she teaches to take her classes. Don’t EVER let her go!!! Please!!! She gives so much of herself and shows up with new music, new choreography and SO MUCH energy and excitement that each class feels like a party!!! LOVE HER!!! Teri is amazing. Each class is different but familiar. I get a total body workout every session that I spend with her. She’s supportive, motivating and creative. Thank you for all of her classes. Larissa is super creative and I love her energy. Her classes are always new and different and she makes working out so much fun! I miss Deanne who used to teach a Barre class on Friday mornings. She was another top teacher that I miss so much. Helaine is a teacher that delivers her tough work out with a laugh and a smile. I always leave with a full body workout but it doesn't feel like work while we're doing it. She is wonderful!!! Thank you for all of the instructors, you’re doing a fantastic job with the level of teaching and wide variety of workouts you offer. The gym is clean and orderly and the staff makes the effort to fix things in a timely fashion.

Fantastic experience: It's not as big as the other gyms, and yet it's becoming one of my top favorite gyms to go to, simply due to the atmospheric effects I feel when I'm in that zone... you know tha zone... its friendly faces, smiles, constant coplomental gestures and it just feels like it's all due too the members and the gym... enjoy, and please smile, it's the only thing that is free you can gift someone... a smile...

Fantastic experience: Great gym with easy parking and friendly staff. Have to say my favorite person here is Mark who greets us by name every time we come in during the week. He knew us and made us feel welcome after the 2nd time coming in and gave us to push to keep coming back. The selection of equipment is to be expected for the price, plenty of weight machines, and cardio. They also have a day care for those needing someone to watch their kids, although most of the clientele that I see is on the older side. The shopping center gives lots of options for getting a bite to eat after working out.

Fantastic experience: Deceptively huge. Numerous areas for all kinds of exercise activities - alone or in groups. Great staff and trainers. Do yourself a favor and sign up for some personal training. Even at my advanced age, I have learned some useful things. An amazing number of machines. My only nit is lack of rack of pre loaded e-z curl bars and a Scott curl machine for full ROM weighting on biceps. Definitely a tiny whine.

Fantastic experience: I had a bill issue where they kept charging 20 dollars to the monthly and the management and front desk desk were able to resolve and the gym is good .

Fantastic experience: Staff is really friendly and helpful. I'm always greeted at the door by name. The gym is clean. Trainers are personable and helpful and they are clearly enthusiastic about their clients. This gym has all the weights that you need and then some. The bumper plates they have for deadlifts are something a lot of gyms don't have. Overall great gym experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Decent branch of the of stereotypical corporate gym. Other members seem friendly and polite and, even if they are quite serious workouters (workers out?), they don't conform to the negative stereotypes in those ads for a rival chain!

Fantastic experience: I stopped in while visiting DC and wished I could join. Very nice, good equipment selection, perfect hours and location - and super nice staff.

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite locations because they have powerlifting weight plates racked on their deadlift platform, two squat racks, two benches, and a dip station, among other things.

Fantastic experience: Good clean gym with all of the standard equipment. Do yourself a HUGE favor, find Andres Music and get him to train you! He is by far the most effective trainer that I have ever experienced. I have a pattern of signing up for gyms and going for a month or two then never going back... this happens every year or so. For this reason I waited a few months before writing this review. Andres is worth every penny, and if I were a rich man I would just throw money at him for his time... but sadly I am not rich and have to limit my sessions. The gains I am experiencing are fantastic and I can't say enough good things about my experience. Another person who is worth mentioning is Mark at the front desk. It took 2 visits for him to know me by name and 3 visits before he started giving me a hard time for not coming as often as I should! He is the best and is a great part of the team, he really makes me want to come back again and again. In general the employees here work well as a team and are exceptional at creating a welcoming and non-intimidating environment.
