Carolina Stars Gymnastics: Opinions
Fantastic experience: i wish
Fantastic experience: It is so great!!
Fantastic experience: Great gym! Very knowledgeable coaches and wonderful facility. Incredible environment for your child to grow their skills.
Fantastic experience: Excellent facility, equipment, and most of all people at Carolina Stars. Wonderful recreational program and top-notch men’s and women’s competitive gymnastics teams.
Fantastic experience: The boys team is the BEST! My son has been a member for 4 years and the experience has been suburb! The coaching staff is knowledgeable, encouraging and dedicated to the development of each athlete. His teammates couldn't be more supportive and he has made some great friendships. We love our gymnastics family!
Fantastic experience: My kids go to Carolina Stars and absolutely love it. Both are level eight gymnasts, one boy and one girl. The gym is family owned which for us is perfect because it means the owners are approachable, accessible and always present. They clearly care about the sport and are focused on making the kids stronger athletes, but also care more holistically about character development, overcoming feelings of nervousness to attempt a new skill and more general team development and comradery. Coach Jay in particular has been an amazing influence on my children, and it says something to me as a parent when they both talk independently about how they can rely on him, not only to understand what their goals are in gymnastics, but how he is the first person they would trust outside the family with other important topics. I know being around him and learning from him on all fronts will be a core memory for them both. One more note on CS and gymnastics in general - I think there is a lot of pressure in seasons of a child's life to fit in at school, and at some point every kid feels like they come in short. It's been amazing for our children to have this sport and this v. inclusive/accepting facility to serve as a second and alternative place to build healthy relationships with other kids outside of their normal social/academic setting. I can see they are both more confident and more at peace with themselves physically and emotionally for it.
Positive experience: Decent selection if goods even with the supply chain shortage. Check expiry dates since sometimes you only have a couple of weeks. I just have how long it takes to pay. They have enough point of sales machines but not enough people. I order online and wait for delivery most times unless I have 30 nins to waste standing in line. Hope they can address this issue
Fantastic experience: Great place, instructors are great with daughter. She has so much fun!
Fantastic experience: We love coming here in Monday’s for the open toddler time! Staff is equally as awesome
Fantastic experience: We had a great time watching their Olympiads presentations! Guy Stamper did a great job!Xoxo
Positive experience: Coaches are cattle herders and revenue collectors more than instructors who push the kids to their potential.
Fantastic experience: Family owned and operated Gymnastics school. We've been paying members for over a year and give it 5 ⭐
Fantastic experience: I tried the Monday play group for my 20 month old today and was highly impressed! This was a great way to see if gymnastics would be something my daughter would enjoy doing. The coach supervising the group was great! Normally my daughter is really shy but my daughter immediately warmed up with her and kept running up to her wanting her wanting her to continue helping her! Another thing that impressed me were how nicely all of the kids played despite there being 1 year olds all the way to around 7 year olds. There were two parts- one for younger kids and one for older/advanced kids, but both were open to any age group. The kids weren't rough and took turns, also using patience for the little ones. Both gyms had a plecent smell and were clean (didn't smell like sweaty feet or musty like most gyms). The front desk people were sweet and informative when I called as well as when I came, explaining everything and showing me where things were at. I can't wait to sign my daughter up for a class and will definitely recommend this place over any of the other places closer to me to my friends!
Fantastic experience: This gym is separated which is really nice. A small section that my 2 and 4 yr old really enjoyed. The room is surrounded by windows so any parents that does not want to be inside can sit and watch from outside the room. Then the big area was huge with so much to do. I really liked they follow Covid protocol too which made me feel really comfortable. The employees were so nice and the cost for preschool on Mondays was cheap! I'm mad I spent $25 more several days prior at a trampoline park.
Fantastic experience: Super awesome facility!
Fantastic experience: My daughter Avery loves their gym and her coach. She is learning so much. She has really perfected her back handspring.
Fantastic experience: The coaches had a really hands on approach.
Fantastic experience: Great place to work and coach! Whole family loves environment! Very friendly atmosphere and coaches are always so happy to see the kids and be there! Overall an amazing experience!!!
Positive experience: We are new to the gym and so far I have no problems with the teenagers teachers or facility. My daughter is enjoying and having fun.Thats what matter for us and we have no desires for her to be a professional gymnast. My only problem is : How can a sport facility that promotes gymnastics , exercise and health body can offer that kind of snacks for the kids?? That for me is absurd!!! I can only imagine is to make money but for me makes no sense at all. I see many kids eating MM’’s, Pringle’s, blue sugary beverage , coke and candy before and after school. I think even as an exemple and influence to the kids this shouldn’t be allowed in a place like this. And how about instead lollipop before any holiday give something non sugary or junk food Related!? Perhaps is just my opinion but it’s ridiculous to me. *I can’t add a photo of the junk food here on google but I added on Yelp!*
Fantastic experience: My daughter is three years old and she loves it! The kids truly learn the fundamentals, and the instructor pushes the girls to do their best.
Fantastic experience: Hello everyone! My daughter loves Carolina Stars. She has been going for a year.
Fantastic experience: I go there it's so fun
