Forest Lake YMCA

Fantastic experience: After being longtime anytime fitness members, we decided to get a Y membership because of childcare and the vast amenities for kids/families. As a parent, it can be difficult to trust strangers with your children. I have to give so much credit and appreciation to the childcare team at the forest lake YMCA. From day 1 they were friendly, welcoming, and our girls were comfortable being dropped off to play. Our oldest (2.5 years) has so much fun playing and doing crafts/coloring. Cannot remember every person’s name, however, Lulu (especially Lulu), Tayler, Kaycie (not sure on spelling), and a few others have been absolutely amazing and make the environment as good as it is!! Huge thanks to them for their smiling faces, patience with all the children as well as their friendly conversation when we drop our girls off each time.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I've been to! Everyone is positive and helpful! Kids stuff(childcare) is the best, shout-out to Lulu and all the other wonderful staff, my kids love you all and we are beyond thankful for your hard work! All the staff in each department decorated a door and have a contest going on ! So fun. This is the "kids stuff" door!

Fantastic experience: One more update: remember the previous one about the money. You would think they would make enough but now there is a 2$ increase for cleaning and staffing, so it really is about tje money. Here's a little update. You tell a lifeguard you have a swimming pass and they deny you swimming when the pool isn't really full, so you try to ask them, they start walking away for you not believing you have a reservation, since the front desk failed to mention that. It shows this Christian Organization is about the money more than the people. Been there before a long time ago, but recently did the BUDDY membership, and Eva has been very helpful and informative.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Had my membership for going on 2-3 weeks I believe now and my family enjoy it a lot. Machines are always available, everyone very friendly and helpful. Definitely glad I got a membership here. Definitely worth it.

Fantastic experience: I love having a membership with the YMCA. The staff at the Forest Lake Y always greets me by my first name. They are very welcoming. I think it’s important to know your customers names. The environment is always kept clean.

Fantastic experience: The Y is a great place for an early morning swim and a quick sprint around the indoor track. It's lightly populated and socially distanced just the right amount for a good workout to begin the day right.

Fantastic experience: The past 3 years have not been kind to me so I have been trying to be kind to it. Here at the Y they keep the machines up and running with great interaction using your phone or just ear buds connected to the equipment. The staff is extremely well trained, pleasent, kind, understanding, helpful. If you need to make a plan to lose 5 to 305 pounds or to add muscle mass they are there to help. I can't be the only person to give outstanding reviews on this place so come on in for a month and then do one yourself.

Fantastic experience: EXTREMELY nice children's area in the pool! 4 year old is HOOKED on the Vortex! Sauna doesn't get to hot, buy jacuzzi is !huge! Costumer service? FANTASTIC!!! Word of advice? Should clean bathroom floors MUCH more regularly, with as much as we pay for cleanliness ...just saying‍♂️

Fantastic experience: One of the best Y's around. Very clean, full and friendly staff. Amazing child watch area included with membership with inside play place, toy room and outdoor playground. Great splash pad and pool area. All the workout equipment is pretty new and in great shape.

Fantastic experience: This is the best place in town to go and have a great work out. Theres a pool for you and the kids with a fantastic hot tub and sauna. The pools are usually very clean and the lane look has it's own section. The lifting area has a good selection of weights and machines to use. Bring some friends and the basketball courts are also very fun.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! The staff is great, the facility is clean, they work hard at keeping it nice! I would recommend to anyone. It’s really busy sometimes but that’s to be expected. It’s worth the investment, In my opinion.

Fantastic experience: The gym is a great place to put in a good work out. The staff is very helpful and always ready to teach you new skills. The pool is a little small and the locker room is a little messy, but the environment is amazing and the gym is a great for running and lifting weights. The basketball court is a fun place to hang with friends.

Fantastic experience: Clean facility, works really well for our family. Wife and I can drop off the kids for two hours and work out. When we are done we go to the pool as a family and have a great time!

Fantastic experience: Great place for literally anybody. They have child care which does an amazing job, classes for all ages in workout rooms, swimming exercise classes for old and young alike, lap swim, pool, sauna, hot tub, family dressing rooms, gymnasium, running track, TONS of machines and free weights and much more!!!! I absolutely love this place and will continue my membership here for a very long time.

Fantastic experience: The equipment is new and the exercise areas are clean. There is always plenty of help if you need it. I enjoy the virtual active screens on the treadmills.

Fantastic experience: Great family place. Lots of programs for the kids that are very affordable. Great fitness area for the adults. They also offer tons of fitness classes of all varieties throughout the day. Also has a free 2 hour daycare so you can get in your workout. Great place for birthday parties too.

Fantastic experience: I had so much fun with my family, it's the best YMCA I've been to yet!! Nice kids area, very relaxing hot tub, but the jets can be stronger. However, think the whole experience made up for the low powered jets. Oh, and did I mention the great service! We WILL be coming back again :)

Fantastic experience: This YMCA is wonderful! Great aquatics area with waterslide, hottub and sauna plus outdoor splash pad in the summer. Exercise machines are the same as WBL facility. I haven't done any of the classes.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous facility. Vortex pool not as powerful as River Valley and Southdale. Good machine and free weight area. Popular pickle ball scene. Splash pad during the summer. Friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I love the YMCA, the staff at this location are super friendly and nice. They are very informative and on top of things. My only down fall is, the women's locker room. There is no flooring in the changing area and it still needs to be redone. It has been taking an extremely long time to get done. But, Everything else is great.

Fantastic experience: Been wanting a membership here for awhile, and I went in last week and they were very helpful and even gave me a tour. Needless to say, I got a membership on the spot. Awesome place! Excited to be able to go here!
