Colorado Athletic Club Inverness: Opinions
Positive experience: The shower heads are only 5 feet tall.. It's so uncomfortable for me to shower there I find myself going less and less.
Fantastic experience: I train here for tennis all the time and this is the best athletic club I have ever belonged to. I don't know about all the problems you other reviewers have, but the gym is fantastic and the tennis staff treat me like family and are willing to go out of their way to help you reach your goals. This is the premier tennis training club in Colorado in my own opinion. Even without the tennis, the facilities are top noch for any athlete.
Positive experience: Overall, we loved the athletic components of this club. Administratively it was a complete disaster. If you don't have to deal with the accounting people (who are in a completely different location and can't ever tell you anything) you will probably be okay. We were over-billed on multiple occasions and getting it fixed was nearly impossible. The managers are immature, rude and argumentative. My kids loved the summer camps and I loved the gym but once they starting screwing up our bills it took way too much effort and frustration getting them fixed. If they would put half the effort into keeping clients they wouldn't have to put so much effort into recruiting/harnessing you to come back.
Positive experience: Good club. Very big with lots of equipment, so almost never too crowded. Lots of amenities. The building itself is a little dated, but they do a great job keeping the equipment up and running.
Fantastic experience: I've been a member at the CAC for about a year now, and I love it! I've been seriously working out for about 9 months now (6x a week) and have been able to grow in the CAC. As mentioned by another user, the cardio and weights are usually pretty empty - I've never had to wait for a machine. The showers are dated, yes, but the locker room is tasteful and well maintained. There are some classes and programs that cost extra, but the majority of them (especially those outside of tennis) are free. The classes are very enjoyable and are taught by a variety of instructors, and are offered at many of the CAC campuses. There is a wide variety of machines as well as plenty of free weights, which I've used more and more of over the months and had no problems with. Machines are rarely out of order, and I consider most of them to be up to date. As previously alluded to, there are multiple CAC campuses, including the DTC, downtown Denver, Monaco, Boulder, etc. which makes it possible to seek different buildings and facilities under the same membership. I am truly thankful for this gym, and while there are minor drawbacks, the benefits and perks far outweigh those.
Fantastic experience: Their pickleball program is great!! Pavan is fun to work with and knows his stuff.
Fantastic experience: Really beautiful place to play and enjoy with friends and family. Recomended for every free day visit, excellent tennis courts all the club is amazing.
Positive experience: Outdoor pool is nice. Building/facilities could use an upgrade. They are building outdoor courts which is great but the indoor facilities have not had a refurbish probably since the club opened in 1983 (except for minor projects). I'm happy to go but wish they were more receptive to keeping the club in good repair.
Fantastic experience: They were cleaning the front entrance to make sure it wasn't slippery. The place was very clean and followed covid protocols very well.
Fantastic experience: Great class. Judy, tonight’s Amped! Instructor, rocked it.
Fantastic experience: In town for a Monday meeting and visited this facility twice in two days. Fantastic assortment of weights, cardio, pool, indoor track, squat racks, etc. If you like to workout this is a great gym!
Fantastic experience: Great class. Judy, tonight’s Amped! Instructor, rocked it.
Fantastic experience: Great facility, very accommodating to a very diverse set of needs. Any kind of athlete or fitness junky can more than thrive here but don't just take my word for it go and see for yourself just how great it is.
Fantastic experience: CAC has great Covid safety precautions in place. Plenty of people including myself use the sanitizers after they work out.
Fantastic experience: The outdoor pool is perfectly inviting and is open 365!!!!!
Fantastic experience: Fabulous tennis facility. Enormous gym and workout area with all the equipment you need. Excellent personal trainers... ask for Mike, he will whip you into shape! If you’re looking for tennis lessons then ask for Jason!
Positive experience: Been a member for awhile, usually go to the Monaco one but brought the kids to the pool here today. Nice clean facility, nice people and all the amenities. Locker room was nice, nice indoor tennis courts, big indoor and outdoor pool, plus basketball, nice club!
Fantastic experience: A great facility with lots of machines and great classes. The yoga classes are exceptional Rose is the best yogi I have ever learned from. I also just took my first bare class and it was so fun yet challenging I can't wait to go back again! Josh and Mike have been amazing to work with while getting started on my membership. This is the best place to be!
Positive experience: not attentive fitness instructor, misleading class notification.
Fantastic experience: Great people and beautiful club. I have only encountered friendly people and really helpful members of the staff. My personal trainer, Garrett, is at this club. He is the best!
Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over a year here. While the building is dated you cannot discount the insanely talented instructors, staff and wonderful group fitness classes. I use the child care with 2 very small children and my kids cry every day we are unable to make it in as they love Trudy and Pat in kids club so much. When we belonged at lifetime the childcare was often 3 people for over 30 kids including infants....and left my children terrified. What I have learned in life is that people make or break an experience. Take a class with Ashley, Dawn or Tori and you will not be disappointed!
Positive experience: Visited on business and wanted somewhere not as crowded as Lifetime... Was pleasantly surprised by the cheerful greeting despite my being from out of town and not interested in a membership. Huge place with every activity available. Weights and machines, basketball, tennis, cardio, sauna, steam room, whirlpool. Very impressed
Positive experience: it is old, 30 plus yrs. needs overhaul
Fantastic experience: Great please to work out.
