Fantastic experience: This box is exceptional; the owner really knows how to coach and runs a well organized clean Crossfit gym. I travel a lot for work and have had the unfortunate experience of experiencing some sub-par crossfit locations…this one sticks out as one of the best. If you are looking to start crossfit, or for a new location I highly recommend joining here.

Fantastic experience: Your not gonna find a better gym, in the Mass/R.I area. the community is very friendly, coaches and staff and warm & welcoming and a ton of knowledge. Jason and his team really do care about the service they provide anyone who walks into the gym.

Fantastic experience: First off, I will admit I was asked to leave a review. Second, I personally do not take reviews lightly. I only leave honest reviews and they are either good or bad. With that being said, let me tell you a little about myself. I know there are a lot of women in similar situations as me. I was a mom who was so focused on her kids growing up that by the time they were out of the nest I had gotten so out of shape I could hardly believe it. There's the "Mom strength" you have when they are little, but it weakens as your kids get older, need less help and you really aren't cognizant of it as it's happening. I, like most moms, always put my kids and everyone else ahead of myself. So, I found myself to be an overweight out of shape 61 year old woman that has had two total knee replacements and is in need of a shoulder replacement. I then decided enough was enough. I was tired of being unable to do all the things I used to do and decided to take the plunge. It was time to put myself first for a change. I had been to PF and other types of gyms, but never stuck with them. I found them boring. I like listening to music, but it wasn't enough to keep me exercising. I tried talk radio, I tried watching TV during work outs. Same old, same old. So, I did some homework. I researched "crossfit work outs" and I read reviews on Prowess. One of the things that caught my eye in another review about Prowess was camaraderie. That's important. I didn't realize how much until I was greeted when I walked in to a recent class. Reminds me of 'Cheers'. That was enough to separate Prowess from other gyms. People talk to one another. That's especially helpful if you are a person like me that needs help sticking with a work out. It's nice to be greeted when you arrive. It's nice to have people that talk to you and it's really nice to be able to make noise and not feel like you are working out in a library and everything has to be silent or that everyone is in their own little world and can't be disturbed. Besides for the camaraderie I find the coaches at Prowess all teach with positive reinforcement. That's huge! They are there to help you do the best that you can do and words like "great job" just make you work harder. I came in, as I said, with issues- two knees and a shoulder.. I met with Jason for 5 sessions - just the two of us. We figured out ways for me to do similar exercises that are taught in classes based on my limitations. He stressed proper form for the best possible results and to prevent injuries. I have been to three classes now with three different instructors and have left happy with Prowess and myself after each one. This is a good gym/fitness program to join. The people are friendly and inviting. The facility is top notch and they have lots of equipment that is used in the daily work outs. The work out of the day (WOD) isn't the same every day which also makes it fun to do. The staff is great. They can help make this work for you whatever your abilities. I am a good example of that. I find myself looking forward to the next class. Never thought that would happen. Prowess caters to all levels. People like me who are just starting and those that are pushing it as far as they can. There might be a person next to me working at an entirely different pace who is in great shape and the good thing is the work outs can work for both of us. If you are on the fence, join. I think you will be pleasantly surprised whether you are a beginner or a work out junkie.

Fantastic experience: If you’re on the fence - jump on over! As someone who spent far too much time away from the gym because I felt too out of shape to start, I’m grateful to have sucked up my insecurity enough to join Prowess this summer. I feel ENERGIZED and CONFIDENT again and that makes it worth it every penny! The coaches and community create the best vibe - welcoming with the best smiles and just enough encouragement to push you to work your hardest. The programming is extra thoughtful. I feel just the right amount of “sore” after each class - enough that I know I was challenged but not too much that I don’t want to come back the next day. I think this is key! I appreciate that there is a dedication to the mental aspect of fitness, beyond the incredible chemical release after a great workout, the Prowess team thoughtfully delivers blog posts addressing nutrition and fitness but also general life “isms” - couple that with the dedication to recognize its members and engage outside of class keeps me feeling more like a part of a family than just a member of a gym.

Fantastic experience: For me, this the best CrossFit gym in the area. It's a spacious, clean gym, with a lot of equipment, and a growing community. Jason has taken a lot pride in it's success, and it shows. Here are my top 3 reasons to sign up: 1. Great Coaches: The coaches are fun, positive, knowledgeable, and have a lot of experience in CrossFit itself, or other sports. Their commitment to the folks who workout here is evident from the moment you walk in. They are not the type of people to let you give up! They are interested in, and want you to reach your goals, thus, they maintain a consistent effort to keep you engaged, and motivated. Now, that's the extra push most of us need! *One caveat: you have to make a commitment too! 2. Great Community: The community at this gym is wonderful! There are people of all shapes/sizes, at all different ages, and at all different skill levels who belong to this gym. At it's core, there is a group of veterans, who, in addition to the coaches, help all the newbies settle in. People are friendly, and will push you through a workout, plus acknowledge a job well done! Even if you ARE struggling on a certain move, it's common place to hear the whole gym rooting for you. 3. Workout Modifications: You'll never be pushed to do something you are uncomfortable with, or are physically unable to do. If you are new to CrossFit, nursing an injury, or have physical ailments which make movements too risky, there are options available to you during the workout--provided by the coaches. There is more to be said, but I wanted to mention what I found to be the most important, and most inspiring when working out here. It's a great gym, with great people. And if you want to have fun, and are willing to make the commitment, I don't see why you wouldn't at least give it a try!

Fantastic experience: Let me start with something basic to get rid of any misconceptions. Crossfit is for EVERYONE at ANY AGE. At Prowess, we are taught how to move safely, effectively and doing so to our very individual abilities. I am 50 and the encouragement from others in the classes, the great coaching focusing on individual needs/limitations, and amazing comradery keeps me fully engaged and feeling fabulous at the end of each class. With Prowess, you will not only impress yourself with what you are able to do but you will also condition and prepare your body for the aging process. Each class is a whole new workout without the same 'ole repetition of other forms of exercise. Stop by, what have you got to lose?

Fantastic experience: I just love it here. I have worked out at a number of different CrossFit locations. Each has its own vibe and character. Prowess is special though. Coaching is great- thoughtful scaling and correction, good warm ups and prep drills. All the coaches are genuinely concerned about each member and folks doing their personal best. The members have been super welcoming and the general energy is upbeat. It just feels familiar and fun. I really did not realize how much I missed it until I found this group. New to the area and now I have a great group of workout buddies. I could not be happier here.

Fantastic experience: Jason and team have a built a large, well-equipped and clean facility - home to an inspiring community. The operation is well-organized and coaches are supportive and knowledgeable. Their programming is balanced with plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself or scale if needed. I've visited gyms that feature Crossfit WODs all over the world and this is one of the best!

Fantastic experience: Having been in the fitness world for over two decades, Prowess has been the first gym experience I've had that actually helped boost my self esteem. In the past, even if I felt confident in my workouts, I would constantly be comparing myself to everyone else. The focus here is on personal best and growth at a pace that is right for you and your body. It's more about awareness, mastering movement quality, and incremental challenge for impactful and lasting change. Because of that, there is more encouragement over competition among members, who range greatly in age, ability, and background. We get to know each other beyond the surface level. I think the key differentiator that helps create this supportive environment is Prowess' unique approach of treating the whole individual. The coaches and staff are truly interested in bettering your overall life through the vehicle of wellness. And it works. At 40 I'm in better physical shape than at 20. When I joined, my coach told me that being a member and doing the workouts would just make me and my body more "myself". I didn't fully understand it at the time, but he was totally right. If you're so ready to feel good about yourself, your health, and your body, start here.

Fantastic experience: Prowess fitness and nutrition has been the best choice I have ever made. They make you feel at home with no judgment and they work to your needs. Prowess community is welcoming and motivating we all motivate each other. I would recommend everyone I know and don’t know to come and join our family any age any health condition and any age they help all.oh and it’s a blast
