THE GYM - Star, Idaho

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a year now. My wife and I love The Gym! Super clean, friendly and has everything we need. The owners are super nice and listen to input from the members. Machines are always kept clean and running tip top shape! Honestly I want to be selfish and say skip this place because of how great it is and keep this a hidden gem in Star. You won’t regret coming here!

Fantastic experience: Awesome little gym located on State in Star Idaho! Friendly gym members and really has everything you could want. Two squat/deadlift cages, a turf area, good weight selection, lot of machines to do legs on and a nice cardio area. Bought a day pass and loved it! Would go here if I lived in the area!

Fantastic experience: The new owners always keep it super clean, all of the equipment is good quality and not broken, It’s clear they take pride in the layout and atmosphere. Always a super good vibe in the gym, and I especially love the addition of the Echo Bike and Assault Runner treadmill! Not to mention they recently traded out the somewhat dated treadmills to all matching high quality treadmills. I’m a runner, and it’s nice to use a treadmill that doesn’t have all the BS heart rate/age charts and different programs that people don’t ever use. Hit any percentage incline button, or any mph button and it quickly gets there. Kind of an obscure preference, but it’s nice! Also it’s the only gym in Star that has a squat rack, which it has two. 5/5

Fantastic experience: Overall this is a great gym. The price is reasonable and it has an impressive amount of equipment for how small it is. The owners are friendly and do a great job maintaining the building/equipment. The other members that I have interacted with are all very friendly and help to create a comfortable environment to work out in. As mentioned earlier this is a small gym so if you are looking for exotic equipment or multiple of every machine this is not the gym for you. The gym normally had no more than 8 people in at a time and you can often find less than 3-4 other people.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for an awesome gym, THE GYM is the place for you. This gym is locally owned and the new owners have really stepped up and taken THE GYM to a new level. Great atmosphere, great equipment, and great people. They have everything you need from cardio to free weights to functional equipment. The place is super clean and the monthly fee is very reasonable. Highly recommend! Come and work out here, you won't want to go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Great place if one is into weight training. (If you are looking for “Hot yoga” or Spin classes, this place may not be for you. Pure and simple. Huge stacks of iron plates and bars, Countless Dumbbells, Vast selection of Weight Machines, and plenty of cardio machines as well. The Gym is always clean and tidy and well kept. The clientele tend to be very nice people, which has lead me to make a number of new friends since joining. I also really love the “open 24 hours” policy. Very pleased that I found this place. I couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic experience: The price is pretty good, and I appreciate no contract as I am only here for the summer. Light on the cardio equipment which means more space for weights!

Positive experience: I love my local gym. It is small compared to the big guys, but the owners are great, the equipment is perfectly maintained, and, if you live in Star it is close to home from anywhere in town.
