Bliss Climbing and Fitness

Fantastic experience: I climb there on a regular basis and have never had anything bad happen, never disgusted, never felt excluded, never not wanted to go. The staff there is amazing, and they are so nice and will answer questions nicely and quickly if asked. The boulder room has a variety of styles and different ratings with fun holds and fun routes. That goes for the rope room as well. They have a gym upstairs that is pretty nice. And there are moon board is good as well. Overall, this place is a five stars and an amazing place to climb. If you haven’t climbed here, I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: An absolute GEM of Wichita!!! Not only is Bliss always squeaky clean, but the Bliss Staff is second to none! Bliss has climbing walls that range from "fun date night", to "there isn't any way I can do that"!!! 10/10 will climb again!!!

Fantastic experience: Recently did a group climb with my sisters. We were all beginners being brave, facing our fears and trying something new. Kate and Brett were our instructors/belayers and it was such a positive experience! We felt safe, encouraged and accepted as beginners. Climbing is the perfect combination of mental and physical challenge, and the best part is...if you are a beginner, you WILL surprise yourself! It was SO FUN!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place, the staff is all really nice and helpful and it's a great place to meet other people that climb or just put headphones on and climb for hours by yourself. Along with bouldering and rope walls they have a little gym section that is pretty nice to do different accessories. If you need to rent equipment it will be around $30 total with a day pass, which for a place where you can spend virtually all day isnt bad at all.

Fantastic experience: Was in the area walked in and got the quick tutorial and got to climbing. The price was on point they had everything you needed. They have single climb and other training and a good bouldering area. Absolutely had a blast and if I lived in witchita would be here several times a week. Loved it.

Fantastic experience: Always suportive! Im not very good and there are even club climbers there, looking awesome but I never feel judged. In fact im cheered on from time to time and doesn't feel patronizing, they just authenticly loving to see others succeed.

Fantastic experience: A fun, but expensive adventure. If you're only going once and you're not a seasoned rock climber with shoes, harness, etc... be prepared to spend a lot. For 3 people it costed nearly $100 for admission and gear. The sad part was, we were so spent physically we couldn't last more than a few hours. If you were prepared to, no one stopped you from just hanging out for as long as you want, though. So to get your money's worth, stay, rest, and then climb some more. The experience was really cool. Even my 8 year old was able to get harnessed up and climb as high as he wanted, and the walls go 40 feet high. After a short course on how to operate an "auto-belay" from one of the friendly staff members, you're on your way. If you don't mind shelling out the dough, and your ready for a workout, I'd recommend the trip.

Fantastic experience: This place is so much fun! It’s a wonderful hobby and a great workout. It’s clean, and well-kept. Everyone is friendly and the only downside I experienced here is that it’s quite pricey, and higher than other climbing gyms I’ve been too.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy this gym. My son has fallen in love with bouldering and I tagged along one day. I loved it. Staff is very friendly and gym atmosphere is not intimidating to beginners. It is a great workout and fun time. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! Been a .ember here for 1.5 years now, and the people are friendly, the walls are constantly updated, so there's Always something new! Come check it out!!

Fantastic experience: In town for a few days with my son from AZ and were looking for some local indoor climbing to have fun and stay out of the heat. The staff member DJ was Very accommodating because we kept asking for smaller and smaller shoe sizes until we felt like we had the right ones. Sorry, we climbed before and light tight shoes :) The routes were good but we primarily like to boulder so we hit up their cave. The problems were fun but in AZ the gyms there sets more “true” to outdoor climbs so Bliss’s ratings were soft. There is nothing wrong with that! I understand why gyms rate soft, just letting others know that understand what I mean. Anyway, there is also a lot more potential to throw up more problems on the wall and it would be great to have had more options for bouldering. We loved Bliss and will definitely be back to climb again!

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym and amazing staff. It was my fiancé and I’s first time rock climbing. We went to the gym expecting only to boulder, but realized this gym was also suited for traditional rock climbing. During our safety orientation we tried out the more traditional style of climbing and absolutely loved it. We had an amazing experience with Casey. He showed us the ropes (no pun intended) on rock climbing. We’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Great climbing gym! The place is surprisingly clean, they do a great job of managing chalk. There's a neat gear shop as you walk in, and a good variety of routes. Much better than you'd expect for a climbing spot in Kansas!

Fantastic experience: Went with a friend last night and really enjoyed it. Sandy and another staff member Allison were really helpful in explaining to my friend and I how to use the equipment, how to stay safe, and how to improve our climbing. As a complete beginner I felt little intimidation. Great place!

Fantastic experience: This is a great climbing gym to visit if you are in the Wichita area. They have a great bouldering area, as well as top-rope and a good amount auto-belays. The route setters have done a fantastic job setting unique and fun problems for all skill levels. On top of all that, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Shoutouts to Aly who helped me get oriented and even offered to belay me so that I could try out a fun looking route. That's true professionalism. Highly recommend this very well run gym.

Fantastic experience: We highly recommend Bliss! We had friends of ours introduce us to climbing and extended an invitation to climb at Bliss. I am terrified of heights, but my husband and kids were very excited to try it out. I went thinking I would just watch, but decided to at least get one foot off the ground. The staff were (and always are) very friendly and explained everything. Nobody pushed me out of my comfort zone and they encouraged the kids. I didn't get far, but the rest of my family shot up the walls on the auto belay routes. It is a fun family outing for us. We have been back a few times with the family. My husband and I had a date night and took the belay course. My kids love love love the summer camps. I cannot praise them enough for their summer camps and all they teach the kids, besides climbing! I usually take a couple of afternoons during camp to climb as well. It's an amazing work out! After over a year of only getting feet off the ground, I made it all the way up to the top. I say this because I want others with the same fear to at least give it a try!

Fantastic experience: When taking my top rope class last January, I felt comfortable and wasn't pushed to do anything I wasn't comfortable with. While I have yet to master the wall, I still enjoy doing my best and testing my limits with height anxiety. We've also enjoyed taking two of our nieces, one of nephews, a cousin, and several friends over the years. Thanks to an amazing staff and place of business!!

Fantastic experience: - Awesome climbing gym , i have climbed in many places around the US I love going to bliss . family owned , friendly staff . holds are always clean , they change routes very often , great community and great place if your a professional climber or wanting to learn and try it out .

Fantastic experience: We had never done any climbing before, but decided to head there for our anniversary this year. The staff were knowledge and I felt very safe the entire time. I'm glad I had been working on my upper body strength though, because climbing was no easy feat! They have all the gear you need and get yo set up and ready to go in about 20 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Great for new climbers and experienced. They offer a orientation to first timers, showing you how to use some of the equipment, including their automatic belay. You can sign up for classes, including intro courses or belaying courses. They have a bouldering wall and a small fitness center. Staff is great and easy to talk to and ask questions. You can rent equipment from them or bring/buy your own. They have day passes or monthly memberships. Overall there is something for everyone, including the kids! Burns off some of that excess energy in a safe way! Loved it, would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is a place I go out of my way to come to every time I am back in Wichita. Super helpful and friendly staff with some great climbing routes. Their bouldering room is one of my favorites!

They continually set new bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing routes while offering classes and training opportunities on a regular basis. If you are just looking to try climbing or have been outdoor climbing for years, Bliss is a great place to spend your time.

Fantastic experience: The staff here are so nice, and always willing to help if you're struggling with a route. They update the routes often enough to keep it exciting. There's a great community here as well - I've come without a climbing partner multiple times and have never had a problem finding someone to climb with. Bliss is amazing!

Fantastic experience: I love coming to climb at Bliss. I don't quite have the budget for a full membership, but day passes are very affordable, even if you don't have your own gear. There are a wide variety of climbing routes from beginner to expert. As a beginner, I really enjoy coming to Bliss to work on my climbing technique, because there's always someone around to give pointers.

Fantastic experience: When I first stopped by at Bliss while I was in the area, I had no intention of getting a membership-I was just curious to check the place out. I walked out with a membership and a big smile on my face. The gym and atmosphere are fantastic, and everyone is incredibly friendly (especially the staff)... not your average gym. If you've ever been bored in wichita, want to get in shape, or just want to try something new, go check Bliss out. You won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Started Out Good, Only Getting Better. I've climbed a little over one year now and am recently lead climbing certified. I was able to get here through the support of the friendly and knowledgeable employees and climbers within the Bliss facility. I still have A Lot that I want to be able to learn and do as the process is never ending. When I have a question about technique or specifics about gear, well then I'll know who to ask. The employees and community at Bliss really make me wanna visit. First gym membership for myself and I Want to be a member.

Fantastic experience: We love going here! Fun for the entire family. Our 6 year old will climb until he passes out. My girls love climbing and find it a great way to build self confidence. Great staff and fantastic facilities. Rent thier equipment or bring your own!

Fantastic experience: Bliss Bouldering and Climbing Complex is the greatest indoor climbing experience I have had. Bliss is more than just a place to exercise and rock climb, but it's a community. One of friends and family. If you are interested in climbing and you never have, come to Bliss! If you are just starting your journey in climbing, come to Bliss! If you are an experienced climber, come to Bliss! Bliss will push you. Bliss will bring you the joy and companionship to want to come back and try again, and again. I personally have grown so much personally, in my skills, and in my goals as a climber and someone genuinely concerned with my body and health. COME TO BLISS!

Fantastic experience: Bliss has super friendly and fun staff! The environment inside the gym is awesome and the members are friendly as well. Everyone is encouraging and helps push you to make you a better climber! If you haven't been to Bliss yet you need to go!

Fantastic experience: Having been to many gyms (not necessarily climbing), Bliss is the most welcoming and friendly one I've ever been to. The staff is amazing and always willing to help; the other members are encouraging and will always give advice to try and make you better. Far from being just a place to work out, it's becoming a place where I can meet up with my friends. It's clean, the routes change frequently enough to not get bored, and has additional amenities such as a treadmill, elliptical, and kettle bells.

Fantastic experience: Bliss is an awesome place, the staff is amazingly helpfull/considering. They always try to find new fun things for everyone to be included in. No matter if you're a new climber or have been climbing for years there's always someone to relate to and or talk to and always new stuff to climb and learn

Fantastic experience: Incredibly friendly and entertaining place. Experienced climbers will find lots of different, challenging routes that are changed frequently. People who are completely new to climbing but are curious should absolutely give it a try. The staff will introduce you to what you need to know. The membership includes an initial training and overview, which is very thorough. You can either come with a partner to belay each other, or you can climb on your own using the facility's auto-belay devices. These awesome devices allow you to connect your harness to a secure rope and start your favourite climbs almost instantly. Their shop is not large, but has a lot of what you need. If you don't own equipment, you can rent it at very affordable rates. The prices are remarkably fair and they feature only reputable vendors. Your membership really comes with tremendous value. It's easy to spend several hours trying various routes and just hanging out with like-minded people.

Fantastic experience: Bliss is truly a blessing for Wichita. Whether it`s your first time rock climbing or you`re a seasoned climber, Bliss is the right place for you. If it is your first time, you just have to show up and the staff will take you through everything (minus the climbing part, that you`ll have to do for yourself :)). For intermediate/advanced climbers, there are good routes that constantly change (but not before you`ve had time to work on them) and challenge you. There is always a project you can work on. Everybody is welcome at Bliss`s climbing community. I don`t write many reviews, but Bliss definitely deserves this good review.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility amazing people. Great climbing for anyone who is wanting to start climbing or is a good at climbing. You can go with a partner or you can have a self belay station. Great workout facility on the upper level and amazing Boulder room. There's also a small climbing wall for the kiddos to have fun

Fantastic experience: The people and atmosphere are top notch. This is my second home. It's a full body workout and you feel so good about yourself after you accomplish a goal aka.. a rout! Climbing has been voted "The Sexiest Sport" So come on out and get your sexy On...

Fantastic experience: You are treated like family from the moment you step in. Lots of exercise options upstairs, and climbing routes don't stick around too long. Plenty of routes for the beginner and intermediate climbers, but they have advanced options too! My family had a membership, and we visited on average 3 times a week - sometimes more. We never got bored or ran out of climbing opportunities. If you're thinking about trying it out, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: It doesn't get any better than this. FOR THE NEWBIES: DO NOT hesitate to go if you've never been climbing before. The staff is amazing and passionate about helping you discover a new joy. Also, I've never felt like any "advanced" climbers were ever judging or anything...not like every other gym I've ever been to. EVERYONE, staff and members, are always helpful and genuine. Every person is excited about new people picking up on such an awesome sport! I've dreamed of learning to climb for years. Sadly, nothing existed in Wichita to really focus and train new climbers. I am happy to say that Bliss is everything I would have hoped for. Two and my friends and myself are now proud to call ourselves members of Bliss and "rookie" climbers.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym. Best option in east Wichita. Nice bouldering area with a small top out section. Lots of top rope options. Quickdraws are on all walls so you can lead any route you top rope. Small section dedicated to lead, no top rope options. Routes from 5.3 to 5.13. A few overhangs. Smooth walls, no natural features. Lobby doubles as a store, which is nice since backwoods closed.

Fantastic experience: Bliss is a great place for climbers for all levels​ of experience. The routes are fantastic, and whether you are just trying out rock climbing for the first time or someone who is skilled, Bliss has something for everyone​. They have fabulous, encouraging and friendly staff members who are ever ready to help if you have questions or need climbing tips. It is a wonderful place to not only get a good workout (and have fun doing it) but also meet new people. Recommend it if you are looking for something fun and challenging to do.

Fantastic experience: During a raining weekend, a group of us went up from Oklahoma to check out this gym. Very friendly and attentive staff! The bouldering room is loaded with lots of fun routes, and the top rope/lead area is great! Clever setting. Solid gym. Would recommend!

Fantastic experience: The staff at this gym is friendly and attentive. New Routes are set frequently allowing you to never be bored with what you are climbing. Overall, as a new climber I recommend this gym to anyone who wants to try their hand at a sport which Kansas sees very little of.
