Genesis Health Clubs - Rock Road

Fantastic experience: I don't know what the negative reviews are all about. I'm from Boston & started working out with Genesis when I relocated to Wichita almost 2 years ago. The staff gave me an introductory fitness assessment that was above and beyond anything I've experienced elsewhere. The facilities are immaculate and the machine impeccably maintained. The staff is always friendly. The gym is incredibly spacious. I'm addicted to working out here to the point at which I wish I could pack up the gym and put it in my pocket to take with me when I travel, which I do extensively. It's a great place.

Fantastic experience: I joined Rock Road and couldn’t be more excited. The club is always pristine and I feel very comfortable when I am there. The people are outstanding and very friendly. I believe that the club is under new management. I am always greeted by Rodney and he knows me and my friends by name when we walk in. I am so glad I made the switch from the Y.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, Alice at the front desk is so cheerful in the morning. Great equipment that gives me a challenging workout.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Genesis for years and have had a positive experience. I do dislike the annual gym enhancement fee though. Otherwise, everything is great. I had seen Ben Heithoff train others for years and debated if I needed/wanted a trainer. I recently started using him, and I would recommend him no matter your experience or what your fitness goals are.

Fantastic experience: Rock Road Genesis is the best in town! Ben Heithoff, Fitness Manager, is great to work with on all things gym and membership related. I have been training with him for about the last 6 months and would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in taking their physical fitness to the next level.

Fantastic experience: Rode bike love outdoor pool can't wait to get back in it soon....been up to 50 laps a day already soon to be 100 again...yep im made for water it sheds my pounds like nothing else and inches too.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in town. A large facility offering a lot cardio and strength training equipment. Nice men’s locker room with premium towels. Running track, basketball court, tennis , , food service, etc……. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Genesis is a really awesome place to workout at. The fitness trainers really know how to push and motivate you!! The general manager Nick Grubham helped me out when I had a problem. And he fixed it with no problem.... thank you Nick!!!

Fantastic experience: I have jointed this health club 6 years ago and really enjoy working out here almost every day since then. The facility is very clean and well maintenance with plenty of work out equipments and a variety of exercise classes to suit every member needs. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful that make me feel welcome and feel right at home. Two thumbs up for this health club.

Positive experience: The facility is clean, equipment well maintained. The locker room is spacious, good lighting, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and willing to help. My experience in the health club is always positive. Also, the new manager, Nick, is very helpful and responsive in expediting the resolution of a refund issue that had been hung up the the accounting and managing system for a couple months. The Rock Road Genesis staff was extremely accommodating allowing us to come work out. Staff and Facility was great. A lot to offer if you are looking for a quality place to make a life change.

Really wide range of equipment and extensive hours from 5 am on weekdays. I have used many gyms and this is the best. Tennis and Personal Trainer staff very friendly. You can get a great cardio workout on the tennis courts with cardio tennis.

Fantastic experience: Extremely impressive gym. They make all kinds of food like grilled quesadillas, shrimp, chicken bacon ranch. They have all the strength training and cardio equipment you can imagine. There is a rock climbing wall, tennis courts, swimming pool, and huge basketball court.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality Came here using a one week pass since I am from out of town. Jim is very clean, has all the equipment I need, and all the staff and members are very friendly. I will be sure to come here during my next visit, I feel that this is the best value you can get and is a fantastic place to train!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for over a decade and have watched some great changes happen over the years. I am grateful for the team of staff in place that make exercising fun. They are encouraging and treat people like athletes, pushing you to your full potential, while also showing the right amount of concern for your well being. I feel like they've got the best tennis program in town and as I've gotten to know the personal trainers, they rank pretty high in my book as well!!

Fantastic experience: Guy Ridpath showed me every Inch and detail of the genesis Heath here on Rock. Really invested his time and showed me all the benefits of being a member. After the tour and conversions about health and what classes I was interested in for my goals. I feel confident I could reach my goals here and the equipment is update. Big thanks to Guy for the tour and actually making me feel welcomed.

Fantastic experience: Nice clean facility. Very diligent working staff, very accommodating and useful equipment. Had a very good experience with jullian. Great environment to get into top physical shape and condition. Bout everything you could think of or need to accommodate your health and fitness goals. Very knowledgeable staff with lots of personal trainer experience. My favorite staff and trainer is jullian. He is very goal oriented. And extremely dedicated to helping his clients reach and exceed all of their personal goals. He has shown great leadership capabilities at both sites he's worked at and I'm proud to say that I've had a great opportunity to work with him and learn from him. He is very helpful and experienced at sales and replicating personal fitness and health education as well as a very strongly driven gentleman heading for a successful career. My advice to you is to contact him and work with him to reach your very own personal excellence and goals. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: So, I recently just got a membership here and let me tell you.. Brooklyn, who I believe is the assistant manager seriously needs a raise. Had it not been for her enthusiastic, cheerful, and so personable personality, I probably wouldn’t have left my other gym for these guys. They have a variety of equipment to use and many other perks that come with my membership! I don’t want to spoil it, but if you don’t have one with genesis yet, you’re definitely missing out. To Brooklyn, thank you for being such an amazing person and hooking me up!!!

Fantastic experience: Ben is awesome!!! The staff is friendly and really motivating. Great place for weight loss goals and health! Just started doing All American and tennis, all thanks to doing personal training with Ben so I’m strong enough to not have knee pain!

Fantastic experience: This club has the BEST tennis program in Wichita by far! They have a ton of different pros and clinics and they’re all great. Tony and Felipe are amazing and have helped me with my game so much. If you’re looking to improve, this is the place to play! Also, my trainer Ben is awesome!! His workouts are the toughest ever and will whip you into shape!

Fantastic experience: Upon my visitation of the Genesis Health Clubs over on 13th and rock road I was greeted with arrays of bliss and kindness by Staff on entrance into the facility. The friendliness, and the absolute positive vibes and energy that where impressed upon me was a refreshing and overall wonderful experience. I was given a tour of the facilities and was impressed with the cleanliness, fantastic organization of work out equipment, and machines. The demeanor and professionalism of the staff have my hope and inspiration that I would be able to meet my workout, health, and fitness goals. They made me feel like a member of the Genesis Health Club family and strength and encouragement where given to me that I too could meet my weight loss and health related goals. The overall experience was fabulous and I will surely be back to work out at Genesis. This location is where it's at, where things are popping and one of the best places to go and get your work out on.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Genesis in Manhattan, Kansas and now at Rock Road Genesis in Wichita, Kansas. I have found the staff to be courteous and helpful. I enjoy the classes and the instructors always ask about any conditions that may affect participation and offer alternatives. This should be done, but is not all that common in other clubs. Most recently, I had an issue and asked the RR Manager for assistance. He was wonderful! The matter was taken care of immediately. He solved the problem and now it is much easier for me to take classes! I am very grateful for his concern and assistance. In addition, the gym is kept clean and people, as a rule, wipe off equipment so that I do not have to worry about COVID at this club. Markers are on the floor for social distancing. All in all, I have had a great experience at this club!!!

Fantastic experience: They are very clean and organized. I felt like I was in wonderland at this location. My genesis is on Cass street in Omaha Ne. The rock road location felt like a resort. I didn't want to leave. Machines are up to date. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of cleaning supplies available for each of their members to have their own bottle. Just absolutely wonderful!! I'm so glad I picked Genesis.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, clean facility and friendly staff. To put it simply, the Rock Road location is the gold standard of health clubs. I train there and am constantly impressed by their knowledgeable and first rate trainers. I’ve gone to the YMCA and Planet Fitness in the past and they don’t compare to Genesis. I highly recommend Genesis for anyone looking for a health club.

Fantastic experience: An awesome Gym! This gym has it all, from an indoor track, to a pool and crossfit section. If you're looking for a great gym with a little bit of everything, Genesis is what you're looking for! My brother and I come every year when we come to visit Kansas, and we always get an amazing workout! Definitely one of my favorite gyms of all time!

Fantastic experience: I was introduce to Genesis on Rock Road by a friend, and Guy was very welcoming and understanding of my situation that brought me to Wichita! He was very generous and even gave me a free month to the gym! And if I have a problem or issue that I encounter, he continues to help me the best he can.....so if anyone has an issue or needs assistance, contact Guy off Rock Road for he is the guy for you!!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a gym I recommend going to see Guy and signing up with Genesis! Great place to work out, tons of equipment, friendly staff, and amazing trainers! Once you sign up, if you are in search of a trainer I highly recommend Ben. Every workout I leave feeling completely gassed and he pushes you and doesn’t let you quit on yourself!

Fantastic experience: A clean, well - lit facility. Great, friendly, and helpful staff. The gym area upstairs is fully stocked with all the machines and free weights you could ever want. This place has helped me turn my life around to become fitter and stronger. Get a trainer. You won't regret it. I'd recommend Bri Nelson as the best trainer it has been my pleasure to work with.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at this location for over 5 years, the current head manager, is THE BEST head manager that has ever been here, since I started coming here! Guy D. Ridpath is personable and takes my concerns seriously. The facility is always clean and there are plenty of towels and water cups. A great place to get a workout in!

Fantastic experience: I have been through some major crisis in my life when i joined, the staff seen me through my rough patch and helped me find myself again, after almost 2 years i have found them consistently supporting me in my efforts to better myself, during laughter and tears both this establishment has become my rock and home, always friendly and ready to help. I love Genesis and will always be a member as long as they will have me. Come and check them out. YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Fantastic experience: Your staff is awesome. Mitch does a great job with his crew. Clean facility with nice equipment that's well maintained. Lots of options when it comes to machines, classes, and events. Knowledgeable trainers with plenty on staff at all times to answer any questions you might have, even if its just "did ya catch the game"? Great daycare staff & setup. We love our gym and go basically every single day! Almost feels like family because we see the same sweaty smiling faces everyday. We're new to Wichita and Genesis has become a large part of our life and I couldn't imagine our daily routine without it.

Fantastic experience: Happy to be back! After a long hiatus, I rejoined Genesis when I discovered the ping pong table in the cafe! Bonus to joining are the 4 free personal training sessions, free swim lesson, free tennis lesson, free 360 for 2 months, plus all the classes are included anyway. So glad to be back with familiar faces.. staff are friendly and the food at the cafe is terrific. Added bonus is the Beauty Dot health spa located inside, absolutely beautiful decor and friendly staff. I’ve already reached my weight and endurance goals. The contract is tight, but clear. The low monthly offer is if you set up a direct debit payment plan. Read it carefully and ask questions before signing. I got a free month before my payment plan kicked in, i thought it was clearly presented and worth every penny. Ping pong anyone?

Fantastic experience: This facility is awesome. Starting from right when you walk in, greeted by the friendly front desk workers. The sales people, trainers, all the staff at genesis are friendly. Mike Flores always has a smile when I see him working and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping me get a membership. Glad I was able to so I can get back in shape.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE this gym! The place is clean, towels are always available, staff is friendly and the atmosphere is just great! I have had the toughest yet best workouts at All American Training which includes a heart monitor to track calories burned and other info seen on a big screen during the workout. I really enjoy the hot yoga class at 6:30 on Wednesdays which is included in the membership. The instructor, Saovany, is very knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging. One of my favorite ways to end the day is with a visit to the steam room. The atmosphere, staff and dedicated members have become my motivation.

Fantastic experience: I usually​ hate going to the gym, but since we have joined I have been going regularly and a big part of it is that everyone is very nice and helpful. I always feel welcome! From day one all of the staff, group class instructors and personal trainers that I have interacted with have been willing to go the extra mile to answer my questions or provide guidance (which I need a lot of).

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, nice, clean, facility. Equipment is maintained. The trainers are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They don't just let you go do it wrong. If there is a situation, where they don't know the answer to a question, they​ go and find it. I have been very pleased with them, especially after traveling around the country and belonging to other gyms.

Fantastic experience: By far the best fitness center in the city with the friendliest staff. The personal training team is extremely knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to help you meet your goals and accommodate your needs. My personal favorite trainer is Dustin Sylvester, but you certainly can't go wrong with any of them!
