Fantastic experience: T spot is the bomb! I have been training with the Fetters for over 10 years at each of the gyms and I stick with them because of the amazing support they provide along with the best training you can get. It's very much like a family but a family that sweats together. Each of the Trainers are extremely experienced and make adjustments based on individual needs and wants. The Costa Mesa gym is super sweet. It's clean, has plenty of workout room and a shower. I train with Matt in the mornings and he keeps me fit and honest. Matt and Hannah can help with Nutrition and Diet in addition to the Fitness services. The gym is in a nice location and easy to get to with plenty of parking. See you there!

Fantastic experience: Ive been involved with athletics my whole life (through college!)... Probably because Pop was a High school coach. I can honestly say that the Training Spot goes a LOT further with physical development than anything I have ever experienced. These people have you and your goals laid out scientifically so you maximize the results in a shorter period of time. They "take you by the hand" so you don't even have to think! You guys are amazing!
Fantastic experience: Best. Gym. Ever. Finally have found a spot that is the best combination of personal training at a price point that is worth it. Everyone is really nice. It has a great family atmosphere. They are very flexible (no pun intended) with scheduling and they are able to fit in my busy work schedule to make it convenient. The gym is brand new, so everything is clean and in working order. I train with Matt, who is the right combination of drill instructor and comedian. This place is awesome, couldn't recommend enough.
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for fitness training, save yourself some time and go straight to The Training Spot. The staff there are THE BEST (I've belonged to several other gyms over the last few years, so I have some comparisons). The TSpot offers semi-private and private training sessions only, so there is never any waiting for equipment. In addition to fitness training, the gym offers a nutrition program called "The TakeDown Lifestyle," which focuses on eating habits that, as the name implies, are doable for a lifetime. Clients are all ages (I'm 63) and all fitness levels. But what really sets this organization apart from other gyms is that the staff sincerely CARE about the overall well-being of their clients. My trainer Matt and my nutrition counselor Caroline are available anytime I need encouragement or a little nudge. In 5 weeks I have progressed from certifiable "wuss," to a woman who puts fitness central in her life, all due to the inspiration and commitment of these two extraordinary people. Whether you are a fitness fanatic or a novice at taking charge of your health choices, you must try The Training Spot. You may find, like me, that it will be one of the best decisions you've ever made.
Fantastic experience: I love the Training Spot and the great staff there. Not only do they support your fitness, but they have an awesome nutrition program which is so easy to use and to maintain for a lifetime. I don't even feel like I'm on a diet.
Fantastic experience: The Training Spot is in the parking lot of my office, which is a god send because my biggest issue was getting to the gym. I forced myself to join because I was only getting heavier as time went on. I found that the schedule was flexible (which really helps since I work long hours) and the environment is very friendly. The gym has ALL the tools you need to become successful at accomplishing your goals including, knowledge, meal planning, their Kick Start program, interactive hikes and all the equipment you could possibly need. The trainers are able to adjust to your needs. For instance: I had a sprained ankle when I started with the gym and they worked around it. You never have to wait for equipment, or feel embarrassed about what you are doing. I'm thankful to The Training Spot for helping me to make this life change!
Fantastic experience: Early summer last year, I was looking for an alternative to working out solo at 24 hour fitness. The criteria would include someplace close to home, with motivating trainers, offering strength and circuit training programs and reasonably priced membership. The Training Spot met every need! My initial information call last June with Matt already put me at ease and got me excited about starting. Every workout has been challenging because Stevi makes sure to cater the exercises to me. The family atmosphere they have built makes it comfortable and less intimidating than huge commercial gyms. Perhaps the biggest reason why I love the Training Spot is the care they put into ensuring I get the most out of my time in the gym. For the past few months I've been dealing with post-knee surgery issues. Stevi has worked with me every step of the way to help strengthen my legs as well as sculpt my upper body. She even taken the extra step of consulting with my physical therapist to create the appropriate regimen for me as I work toward recovery. I am so happy I found The Training Spot and I look forward to continuing my workouts with such a great staff!

I’ve been so intimidated and scared of personal trainers, until I met Stevi. I look forward to every session and love every single person I see get to see there. If you’re looking for a comfortable, awesome vibe environment, this is it.
Fantastic experience: I just had my one year anniversary at The Training Spot, and with their guidance and accountability I have completely transformed. I have NEVER been a "work out" person or a morning person, yet I always look forward to my 6:30am sessions. Stevie is an amazing trainer - she pushes you to improve, but always with a positive and optimistic attitude. No one here is judgmental at all. They just want you to do and feel your best! The decision to invest time and money in this was a big one for me, but it has been completely worth it. I think The Training Spot offers a great value. I've seen a difference in myself, physically and mentally, that I never would have been able to accomplish training by myself at a gym. Even if you're just curious, I highly suggest you stop by The Training Spot to learn more!
Fantastic experience: I've been working out at The Training Spot for 3 months now with Stevie. She's an attentive, knowledgeable trainer that has helped me start from not working out in 3+ years to know being comfortable in the gym! I've gained strength and lost weight and am actually excited (most days) to come workout. The gym is not intimidating, no pressure here! I love that there is a great mix of people working out at all levels. Also, there's never a crowd because they space out all of the clients so you are ensured personal attention!
Fantastic experience: The training spot is a great place to get get fit and stay fit. Matt and all the other trainers really care about your goals and will do everything to help you obtain them, this also includes nutritional advice. My goal was to gain lean muscle mass and to be as fit as I was back in college over a decade ago. I have gained nearly 10 pounds in the first 3.5 months. I feel like I am getting stronger every week of training. The trainers find your limit and push you just past it to make gains. I would absolutely recommend the training spot to anyone wanting to up your fitness level.
Fantastic experience: I joined the Training spot as part of their kickstarter program and I signed up for the additional strength training sessions. It is truly a great place and they have a great program. The program is about eating healthy and exercising - but unlike other programs this isn't an elimination program. They understand real life means carbs and an occasional glass of wine. I noticed a difference within one week of the program with weight loss and more energy. The other great thing is the staff and atmosphere. The Training Spot is definitely focused on building a community - they even have group hikes! I am so glad I found this place and I highly recommend The Training Spot to anyone looking to make significant changes to their health. .
Fantastic experience: Joining The Training Spot was one of the best decisions for my health I have ever made. After cancer and two severe knee injuries, I knew I needed some help getting healthy and fit. I have been a client for over 3 years and continue to love it! I had never been a gym person before, but I now call it my "Cheers" without alcohol, because everyone knows your name! The trainers are excellent, the Balanced Life eating program really works, and the community culture is supportive, encouraging and a lot of fun! I recommend them if you want to get serious about accomplishing your health goals. 5 stars really isn't high enough for the quality of service they provide!
Fantastic experience: My journey on the Balanced Habits Kickstart was not something I really wanted to participate in. You see, I am a very, very… picky eater. My sister Lydia kept saying just try it and see what happens. With much convincing she finally got me to commit to the program. Basically I worked my meals out off of the Grab and Go items and started on my journey. The hubby and I committed to waking almost every evening in the 28 days and we attended 3 of the 4 walk/hiking events. We even participated in a 5K during the 28 days. This after being very sedentary for the past few years. My biggest issue with any weight loss program is that I am so small that I always fall into the lowest end of the program scale and am constantly looking for more food because I am not getting enough. With the Kickstart I found that not thinking about calories and working within my Units the amount of food I was consuming did not seem to be an issue. This became a lifestyle change and not a diet. We started looking at the food we were eating and began to plan ahead, meal prep and we even tried a few of the recipes that were provided. Two big changes for me is that when I went to make a smoothie in the morning the recipe called for bananas or yogurt (things I don’t like or eat). Well I’m happy to say that today I have added those items to my smoothie and am enjoying the flavor. A big step for someone like me. Well after the first week and a loss of 3 lbs. I felt so good about myself I wanted to continue to push myself along. The surprising thing is that there were only a couple of times during the 28 days that I felt hungry. It’s amazing how changing the way you eat and the times you eat keeps you full. Finding the balance between the protein, carbs and fat seemed easy with my limited choices of foods. Yes I ate a lot of peanut butter (LOL), but even with that it continued to work. I started sleeping better and had a bit more energy. Due to shoulder surgery I was only able to do cardio during the 28 days, but even with that I was successful. I won week 2 and continued the momentum on for the reaming two weeks. Pushed by my hubby, sister Lydia and the staff at TSpot (who by the way remember my name after just one visit), I pushed on. I consistently lost weight each week and began to notice that my workout pants didn’t feel so tight around my thighs anymore. At the conclusion of the 28 days and a loss of 9.6 lbs. I became the winner of the September ’18 Balanced Habits Kickstart. With my limited food choices I don’t think anyone would have placed me at the top of the group, but I did it. We as a family have made a lifestyle change for the better and I am continuing on with the Balanced Habits Life Program for the next three months. Thanks to my sister and The Training Spot I am on my way to a healthier and more fit life. Elizabeth Gregory
Fantastic experience: So here I am, almost a year later and still going strong. Matt, Stevi and Hanna have all be pushing me to be my best. I enrolled in the Balanced Habits "Kick Start" 28 day program for a second time. I lost 15 pounds the first time and have maintained it thanks to the great workouts and coaching provided by my trainers. I'm hoping to achieve another 15 pounds in this attempt. I can't say enough about the great staff, the crazy fun workouts and the other "spots" who join in at 5:30 am for those early workouts. If you're looking for a gym that can help you achieve your goals, no matter what they may be, this is a great place to start. I feel energized and look forward to continuing the fun. Fantastic experience: Well... I started with Steve, he was fun and playful. Then I got Mattison who taught me big muscle lifting with deadlifts, squats and the such.. Now, I'm on to Stevi. She is laser focused on my technique and repetitions in a way that makes even my small, dark soul sweat. Seeing her, one would think, phew, I get a break... Don't be fooled.. If you're really at Tspot personal training to achieve your goals, she will push you harder and faster to achieve them than ever thought possible. If you're looking to take it easy go to one of those boot camps or feel good gyms with 20+ other people looking at each other in the mirror dreaming about their upcoming high school reunions. If you're looking to make remarkable gains, feel the burn and break all records, look to Tspot, look to Stevi, look to your future.
Fantastic experience: Strength training at the TSpot was so great for my health and body. I never knew the difference between working out and strength training. Strength training really works every aspect of your body, making you stronger. It was amazing how easy it became to carry groceries into the house, getting up and getting down was so much easier, and the best part is the fat was melting off, of course with a good balanced diet. The trainers at the TSpot care about you and your health and assure you are safe durning your workout. It truly is a family atmosphere, with small groups of 6 people your workout is tailored for your body. If you have not tried the TSpot, give it it a try and I guarantee you will love it!

Fantastic experience: I tried joining gyms for about 8 years. I joined the YMCA, Curves, 24 Hour, Crunch and probably 3 other smaller gyms. I would go for a few months, feel flustered, not know what I was doing, hurt myself, and not see any results. I would then quit and go “Maybe working out just is not for me”. The Training Spot, Hanna in particular, has been an absolute godsend. I have a long way to go on my journey, but having Hanna there with me makes it seem exciting and not overwhelming and daunting- and for me that’s huge. I feel genuinely sad when I miss a class or can’t go for a few days. I have made such great friends, and the diversity offered at the Training Spot makes me so comfortable. I do not know of any other gym that can cater to a wide range of clientele. I am always impressed by the Tspot, and while I would leave 24 Hour Fitness feeling worse off, I always leave the TSpot with a huge sweaty smile. It all sounds super cheesy, but Hanna has changed my entire life. I love her to death and I am beyond happy that we both found the Training Spot. Team Hanna!!! Also, Matt and Stevi are incredible trainers and owners of the TSpot, Matt makes the gym fun and runs it so smoothly. Stevi is a woman warrior who always makes me do things I never knew I could! The TSpot is a family, and I am thrilled to be part of it!
