Fantastic experience: I've been going to The 12 once a week for a few months and absolutely love it! The workouts are intense but the hour goes by so quickly because it's so much fun. Nichole is awesome and so is Diggy! I love the variety and the positive atmosphere. Even going once a week I've noticed weight loss and, more importantly, I feel stronger. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Fantastic experience: I love that no workout is the same! Friendly staff and nice facilities! Nichole makes working out so much fun I don’t even realize it’s 6am when I’m taking her class!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of the 12 for more than two years now, taking Nichole’s 6:15 am class. I love the variety of workouts the classes provide to keep things interesting and challenging. The best part about the 12 is Nichole- you really don’t come across fitness trainers like her, not to mention human beings like her. She’s relatable, real and never runs out of things to say. Nichole is an expert trainer, killer DJ with good variety and a fun person to start your day with. She’s positive, playful and extremely thorough. You can tell she loves her job, the gym and the people she trains. From novice to advanced, every person that walks into her class is treated with the same amount of respect, attention and compassion. I am grateful to have found her and the 12- take her class asap!

Fantastic experience: I love the 12!! I was looking for a gym that would push me to new limits with my fitness- I found it here at the 12! It is such a great community and the trainers are the best! Shout out to Nichole for the early morning workouts and always having so much energy for her classes. She is always uplifting, knows everyone personally , and makes working out early fun but also challenging!

Fantastic experience: Great class! She is always motivating us.. just when you want to quit she keeps you going for “you “…. You feel like a rock star when you leave her class. Always great for a fun fact or tip for the day .. today she took some extra time to get the kinks out on foam rollers and it was amazing and much needed! That’s for always motivating us and reminding us we can do it and we will!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Costa Mesa and a girlfriend of mine suggested I try this gym! I was a little nervous since I haven’t worked out consistently since before Covid and I feel really out of shape. I went with my friend and as soon as I walked in I was greeted by very welcoming faces and was put at ease. They have a temperature check and require everyone to bring towels to clean the equipment between stations which I appreciated. Once I walked into the main room I started to panic a little because there were a lot of equipment and exercises I wasn’t familiar with. Luckily they go through each station and demonstrate the exercise before we begin. I like that they also have you do mini exercises between stations to keep your heart rate up. I’ve only had Eunice as an instructor and she has been great! I was so pumped after the workout and so excited to get back In shape that I signed up as a member :)
Fantastic experience: I have been going to The 12 for almost 2 years now. This place absolutely has the best group training classes and trainers in the area...and I have been to a lot of other places. I used to switch gyms every once in a while but since I have found The 12, I am here to stay! Shout out to Nichole and Uli! You guys are the best! They have made working out so much FUN! Fantastic experience: This is a very personal review of The 12 - Irvine Mesa location.... It has been 5 years this month (since March 2016) to when I decided to change the direction of my health. I was 198 lbs and teetering towards the two century mark. For my height and age, it was nothing but all bad! In the timeframe that I have been going to The 12, I've made personal gains that I'm incredibly proud of.... With the guidance of all my trainers: Nichole, Uli, Eunice, Brooke, Dana, & Jared, I have maintained a healthier weight and learned to eat better. I have also made some great friendships. I'm normally someone who's fairly introverted, but it's impossible to not engage with the positivity this gym creates. Egos are checked at the door and you never feel like you're being judged. I got introduced to this gym and the direction of my life has changed. Training is part a healthier you and "The 12" fit that part of my life very well, THANK YOU!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to The 12 for about 2 years and I absolutely love it. The two trainers I have the most time with are Nichole and Uli they are both fantastic, definitely a major reason I drive to this location even though I live a block from the other location. Uli is a great coach, plays the best mix of music and it’s just loud enough to be motivational. I get to work out with Nichole now more, it’s great that the trainers enjoy working out at their job. You’d never want to eat somewhere the cooks don’t eat right!?
Fantastic experience: Totally worth waking up and coming in at 5am! This gym has the best coaches, management, and community. Not to mention they follow the COVID-19 protocol, making the environment a safe place to get in a good workout.

Fantastic experience: I love lifting weights and HIIT training; however, unless I have a class to go to, I will rarely go to the gym. I thought the 12 would be intimidating at first, and I would not be able to keep up with the other members; yet, the members and instructors are very kind here. No one judges you and the workouts are amazing. I have completed 30 classes thus far and I look forward to the workouts so much that I signed up for the unlimited monthly membership. I already feel better and can tell I am getting stronger.
Fantastic experience: I have been going to the 12 for 5 years. The trainers are awesome and so are the people. There is a sense of community at the12. I have been training with Nichole for years now and she makes it a point to push me to my limits on a daily basis. I look forward to workouts everyday :-)
Fantastic experience: I have been an annual member of The 12 for the past two years. This place has been life changing for my body, mind, and soul! The trainers and staff give it their ALL every single day. I've learned so much about fitness and nutrition here. Nichole is my favorite trainer/nutritionist and she has been so inspiring and motivating. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I call this place my second home and owe my complete transformation to The 12!
Fantastic experience: The 12 Review I started going to the 12 in June. They we were running a monthly special(not available anymore) so after doing my free trial class I immediately signed up. The regular price comes in at $189/month which sounds steep but I believe it’s totally worth it based on the results I’ve seen already. Since joining I’ve lost 10lbs, shed body fat and also built muscle mass. They provide a pretty cool InBody machine at each studio to measure all of these things and keep track of your progress. They offer many different time slots throughout the day to meet scheduling needs that every member has access to and the membership carries over to both locations(Irvine & Costa Mesa). This is a HiiT focused workout program that is always fresh and new no matter how long you’ve been attending classes. Every trainer that I have worked with is awesome. They are very motivating and open to teaching you on the spot. Even though it is a group workout class they make it feel very personal every workout. COVID GUIDELINES: They require a mask when entering the building and before you can fully enter they do take your temperature. They also require two towels, one for yourself and one for any equipment you use throughout your workout. Sanitizing spray bottles are provided so that you can wipe down equipment before moving on to the next station of the class. All in all the price is definitely higher than your average gym. But at the 12 you get awesome workout routines provided and explained every day, awesome trainers who are there to help you with whatever your fitness goals are, and a variety of different classes and time slots that are easy to schedule with their very own app. To this day I’m in the best shape I’be ever been in and I couldn’t have done it without the 12!
Fantastic experience: The 12 Irvine has been incredible. The gym is cleanly and neat, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the workouts are tough and always exciting. I signed up in June of this year and have already seen incredible results. I’ve always struggled with being consistent with my works outs but having the structure in the class is why I’ve been able to be more successful! The 12 focuses on HiiT training so the workouts can be pretty intense. However the coaches there just want your best effort so if you are just starting to workout and need some time to build your strength and endurance I would still recommend their classes. The group environment makes it less intimidating and the coaches are motivating throughout the class! If you sign up for membership you get access to every one of the classes they offer, which includes a variety of different start times, 2 separate locations(Costa Mesa & Irvine), Classes are unlimited so me and my husband try To make it a routine to go M-F and just start our day working out!! COVID GUIDLINES: You do have to wear a mask upon entry and take a temperature test. **You do NOT have to wear your mask while you work out // However ever station is adequately spread out so you have enough space. As long as you bring an extra towel to wipe down any equipment that you use you’re all set! AND they provide each member a sanitized spray bottle before each workout. The price is $189/month so it is significantly more than your average gym but I would totally recommend trying it since they offer a free trial class! It’s no pressure to sign up afterwards at all either, but definitely worth going if you also struggle to get creative with your workouts and have a hard time being consistent with them like me! Haha And Shoutout to my trainer Uli in the 9AM Mon-Fri slot! He is also a big reason why I’ve enjoyed the 12 so much and why I continue to see results every week!! I’ve worked with Nicole at the 12 , and just recently Dana from the Costa Mesa location for yoga on sundays and they’re both incredible!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the staff, trainers, group classes and environment at The 12! I push myself harder during the group workouts than I would if I worked out on my own, and we do exercises I wouldn't do otherwise. I feel like the trainers actually care about you committing to your practice and about making sure you do the exercises properly. The music is great, and it's fun to train with your friends!
Fantastic experience: I recently tried the 12 gym located in Costa Mesa and loving the community and positively of this gym. The trainers really push and motivate you and everyone who attends the classes are always trying their best and pushing you to work harder. Love how the workouts are different every day and also every time you attend and they always play great music.
Fantastic experience: I have been an annual member for 3 years now and it has changed my entire lifestyle. The trainers are always willing to help and try to motivate. Specifically Nichole is my favorite trainer, she is motivational and seems to know what each person needs individually. She also knows when people need a harder push, she can be abrupt and poignant when it is needed an i love it. That's saying something with 30-60 people in a class. I've met Josh and Derek several times and they are extremely dedicated to their business and clients. I love the whole team there and would highly recommend the 12 if you want to make a change or enhance your current physical activity!
Fantastic experience: This is a great facility! They have such a welcoming environment, and supportive team. This place has literally everything you need to get your workout in during the day. I love that the workouts are different everyday, and they offer so many class times. Great HIIT training!
Fantastic experience: I love the 12! I’ve been going to the Irvine Mesa location consistently for about 3 weeks and can really feel the difference. This is the most motivated I’ve been to workout in a long time. The trainers are knowledgeable and, even though they can be large group classes, they take the time to get to know you. They also help modify exercises to match your abilities. I can’t wait for class tomorrow!
Fantastic experience: The 12 has a great combination of strong leadership that preaches positivity while putting us through strenuous workouts to make me feel better. The team aspect that they provide does a great job of holding us accountable and build a sense of a community at the gym. Nichole is an amazing trainer who Is not only expertly trained, but inspires the class with her own personal journey. The 12 is a great place to workout and a great community to be a part of!
Fantastic experience: Alex and Nichole (really all of the 12 trainers) are two of the most amazing, inspiring, motivational people I have ever met. They make me bust my butt every class, hold me accountable, and help me to achieve personal goals. They genuinely take the time to get to know you on a personal level, which in a group setting you would think is almost impossible, but they do it and do it so well!! You can really tell that helping people achieve their goals is why they do what they do. The 12 promotes a community culture and people from all backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels are welcomed and accepted. This type of environment makes it so much easier to adapt when everyone is so welcoming and non-judgmental. The trainers will not tolerate it otherwise, seriously. The facilities are great, always kept very clean. Love the products/supplements that are recommended to help with recovery, fat loss, and muscle building.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough great things about The 12. The workouts are always new and exciting, so there's no way you'll ever get bored. I'm an avid long runner, so this is the perfect way to cross train and build my strength. In one hour, you'll get the best full-body workout that incorporates weights and cardio. The atmosphere and positive community are what keep me coming back again and again. Do yourself a favor and sign up for one of Nichole Ormsby's classes. Guaranteed you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Great facility and staff. I've never been able to keep to a workout schedule and keep motivation but the trainers and atmosphere here have kept me going for 2 yrs. High Intensity interval training really keeps this fresh and fun. Great workouts. Uniquely focused body part workouts daily. A lot better on the body than CrossFit with similar results.
Fantastic experience: This is the best workout I have ever tried! It goes by super fast, the instructors are amazing, the facilities perfect and the Everyone helps each other. If you are looking for a new workout - try the12! You won’t find anything better out there!
Fantastic experience: Loving this gym and community so far! I did the free 2 sessions and now I am one week into the $99 intro unlimited monthly offer. At the gym they have a body fat scanner so you can track your progress. Hoping to lower my body fat percentage by the end of the month.
Fantastic experience: I loved everything and everyone at the 12. I was on vacation and I love working out so I came to this studio. The 12 coaches and front desk made me feel so welcome. The workout was very challenging and Alex was there to hold us accountable to getting our workout done. I would recommend this gym for someone who is looking to have fun while working out and make changes mentally and physically. So much inspiration to do your best at the 12.

Fantastic experience: My sister told me about this place and I decided to try it out. I love trying new gyms. And believe me, I am so glad I did! Classes are amazing and the great energy from the trainers to keep you going. Your first two classes are free and I enjoyed it sooooo much they got with me the first month for $99 and I don't regret it. I'm LOVING IT!!!!
Fantastic experience: The 12 is an amazing group training gym! I love all the instructors here at Irvine Mesa. Sarah, Nichole and Alex are all super energetic, motivating, friendly, etc. and all the staff here are so friendly, helpful and personable. I signed up for two free classes and after your first class, you get a choice between getting 10 classes for $99 that expires in 3 months or unlimited for a month for $99. I went with 10 classes because I was traveling soon. Once I came back I finished my 10 classes in 3 weeks! I was hooked! So I signed up for their unlimited membership which is $179 per month. I don't like going to the gym so going to the 12 helps me a lot and I've been coming here for two months and I already see results! I love the 12! :)
Fantastic experience: I have been going to the 12 for a couple of weeks now and not only are the workouts fun, you see results very quickly. The trainers treat you like family and it is a very comfortable environment. I have already made friends with many people from class and will continue going to this gym!
Fantastic experience: Motivating atmosphere that makes working out so enjoyable! All of the trainers are wonderful and each day of the week is filled with different exercises that focus on specific body parts (ex: Tuesday- legs, Friday- cardio). Definitely recommend checking out The 12 if you're looking for a gym in the OC, especially since they offer the first two classes free.
Fantastic experience: Love this place. The community is amazing, the workouts are challenging, and I always end up having a lot of fun. Each day works out a different muscle group as not to overly burn out your body. I've been coming here for 2 years almost daily and have noticed everyday tasks are easier due to the fitness The 12 has prepared me for.
Fantastic experience: I have tried plenty of gyms in my life and The 12 has been the best so far! The workouts are intense, yet safe and very effective. I am always looking forward to the classes, especially under the guidance of Nichole! Her enthusiasm and encouragement has always motivated me. Come check it out! You will be hooked!
Fantastic experience: What can I say about this place? Wow! I just finished my 5th session this month and simply love the place. The instructors are just great, full of energy, while always supporting everyone with smile, encouragement and more. The place is just great and I even like it better than Crossfit with far less chances of injury even though you workout every muscle group. Thanks to Cyrus and Hailey Marie for introducing me to this place. The best reasons to come here are: a) pure energy b) you can be in great shape or in horrible shape - the workouts work for everyone c) peer group - just make it to the door - the rest will take care of itself being surrounded by amazing group of peers d) awesome instructors e) you will experience exercises that you never have in your life in traditional gyms - all good and motivating f) Do this a few times a week, eat well, and you will be in the greatest shape of your life in no time... I would give it a 6 star if such option existed..... :-)
Fantastic experience: The 12 is now my go-to gym if I'm traveling in OC. The studio is large and clean, their equipment is new and diverse, and the instructors are incredibly motivating. The workouts are structured so that each day they do they same workout throughout the day. Tuesday might focus on legs, Wednesday on back and shoulders, etc. I heard some people double-up on classes, but that seems crazy to me because these workouts are TOUGH! They really push you and will make you break a sweat, but the classes go by fast and are a lot of fun. (If you like getting your butt kicked that is!) I would describe the place as intense, but I personally feed off of that. If you come to class with a can-do attitude, you WILL succeed and transform your cardiovascular health and body. Class sizes vary tremendously. A 5 or 6pm class could have 40 people and a 10am class could have 4! Crazy. So yah... I recommend to anyone even remotely curious to at least try it out. They offer 3 free classes to new clients! No catch!
