Forma Gym Walnut Creek

Fantastic experience: I am 2 months into my membership with Forma and I am so glad that I joined. This is the gym that I've been seeking for years. I was really hesitant to join any gym and commit myself to a monthly membership however this is the one. I enjoy their group exercise classes and find that when I usually attend, which is at peak hours of the evening, I always find a parking spot and can walk right into the class. I have yet to try any of the equipment because I enjoy the Zumba and Step classes but I see in passing that there are always machines available. This is a relatively small facility but they offer SO much; such as weights, racquetball, swimming, pilates, yoga, machines, and free weights. They also have an in-house spa, chiropractor, great locker rooms and a child care facility. Every time I enter the gym I am welcomed by the friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: I've only been a member for about 2 months but I'm really liking the experience. It's a medium-sized gym with everything you could imagine plus a lot more. They have a lot of different exercise options, which I think differentiates them from others. So you have the standard cardio and weight equipment, but many other options that focus more on functional and core strength. They also have a great outdoor area. A pool for exercise or lap swimming and a lounge area for Summer days. They also have an outdoor workout area where you can take equipment (or use equipment already there) and enjoy a nice day while getting your routine in. The staff and trainers are great. They just refinished the Men's locker room. It's very clean and an enjoyable place to spend time working out.

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym! I feel like I dreamt them up and they appeared. They have everything you could think of them offering. Weights, cardio, pool, classes, DAYCARE, spa, excellent amenities. It’s honestly hands down the best money I’m spending on a monthly basis right now and on top of that it is extremely affordable and the staff has been superb. I am so grateful for their business model, it’s exactly what I need in my life right now and I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience here.

Fantastic experience: Even before the arrival of COVID-19 Forma was an excellent gym, offering a variety of group classes taught by exceptional instructors, well maintained equipment, a friendly and diligent staff, beautiful facilities, personal training, and spa services. But during the last year, as the pandemic caused just about every other facility to close, Forma has done even more for its members. At first, we were offered virtual classes, so that we could continue to exercise at home while Forma prepared their outdoor space for us. Then they erected a huge open tent in a portion of their parking lot, placed thick rubber flooring and artificial turf on the surface, and set up exercise equipment and a group exercise area, with fans to keep us comfortable and provide good air flow. They converted their backyard next to the pool into a free exercise area and set up spinning bikes in another area, both covered by canopies so that we could continue to exercise throughout the year. We've even taken spinning classes in the rain! As the COVID restrictions have loosened and tightened and changed, so has Forma's use of space - they keep evolving to continue complying with all of the restrictions while serving their members. I'm so impressed with everything that Forma has done to keep us happy! I just LOVE Forma!

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym with an amazing outdoor, turf floored and tented weightlifting area. This outdoor weightlifting area is worth the price of admission alone - enjoy beautiful California weather, get fresh air, and pump some iron. Equipment was clean and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend Forma Gym!

Fantastic experience: Excellent Family atmosphere, very solution oriented for healing and fitness and many different ways to go about this. Wonderful positive energy, which motivates me to keep moving and stay healthy. Gotta hand it to FORMA, they're awesome!

Fantastic experience: Clean, modern gym. Plenty of new, well maintained equipment and space to work out. Two floors and an outdoor workout area with a pool too. Friendly, helpful, experienced staff. They have many different types of classes available from boot camps to yoga and pilates. They also offer professional physical therapy for many injuries. I was in a bad motorcycle accident in 2019. Dave has helped me recover my fitness and got me out of my wheelchair, free of a cane, and back to walking unassisted. I couldn't have done it without him. I have not priced other gyms so I dont know if Forma is expensive for a membership.

The trainers are always upbeat, motivating, knowledgeable and encouraging. The fellow members are courteous. Kudos to housekeeping team for always keeping the club clean.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Forma Gym was fantastic throughout the Pandemic -- and is even better as we emerge from restrictions. For me, the water aerobics program was a life-saver -- and my husband has found the exercise classes equally satisfying. This is a friendly, welcoming gym with cheerful staff and creative, responsive management.

Fantastic experience: I have been going here to work out since January when I heard they had moved most the equipment outside. It's been a great to be able to work out in a professional gym during the pandemic and I have felt safe dong so at all time. People when masks when required and there is plenty of space, I never feel crowded. I highly recommend this gym as the staff and management have gone the distance to make their services available to everyone doing such a challenging time. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality I've been working out at this location since the '80s, so I'm an old timer. Current owner and management have updated both the facility and offerings thru the years. The instructors and work out options are top notch so I'm able to keep my bod in condition. All age groups will find exercise options to suit their desires and needs.

Fantastic experience: Its like God created a gym! Kids have a place, teens can get better, there's a spinal cord injury recovery clinic (RISE) in the building, my grandparents can workout and swim and take awesome classes, you can get a massage, steam, & sauna... Like I said, its like God created a gym. Also the price is worth it for what the gym offers, ELEVATE!!!

Fantastic experience: Above all, this boutique gym has a sense of community. Our family of six has been members for about five years - and there are classes for each of us - offered throughout the day - starting at 5:45 AM. The exercise equipment is also plentiful and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and always friendly. The locker rooms were re-done during Covid - and are modern and clean. Clean towels, free coffee (if you ask) and lemon water - all day long. They have thought of everything.

I also like that the pool has appointment system, so can come, enjoy the swill and do no have to wait for somebody to let in the pool. Always plenty of clean towels and the staff is friendly. Fantastic experience: I've been a member for over ten years. Forma gym is a great place. The pool is wonderful and I also enjoy taking classes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is well kept up. The instructors do a great job, especially at modifying activities to offer more challenge or support as needed. I've been very impressed at how the gym has carried on through the pandemic, adjusting as we all move through the unknown, and keeping up a positive attitude! It helped me with both my physical health and mental health during challenging times.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy they have moved their gear into the parking lot. While you will need to shower at home you can still get a regular workout in or attend the numerous classes . I have a person al Trainer Ravi who has kept me fit to pursue my real passion scuba diving.

Fantastic experience: I just completed an initial personal training package with Steve, a certified trainer in the Walnut Creek location. He is an excellent Task Master. He encouraged me to push for my best showing me proper and safe techniques. I highly recommend Forma and Steve

Fantastic experience: Great training facility. I visited while in the area for work and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Took the time to point me in the right direction for what I was looking to do. I thought the outdoor lifting area was great and they have turf both inside and out for some functional fitness activity.

Fantastic experience: Forma is a really spacious, modern and high-end gym with outdoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, sauna room, pilates studio, cycling studio and more. I was here on a guest pass and the customer service greeted me right away with warmth and smile. I was glad it stopped there without having them following me around and pushing packages. The locker room is elegant and clean with plenty clean and soft white shower towels. There are gender-specific Jacuzzi and steam room so it is great for privacy. The free weight equipment is on the ground floor and it is definitely more male-centric while 3rd floor has more women using weight machines. I took a peak at the Pilates and Cycling studios and both have nice equipment and Pilates beds. Overall, I love this gym except it is farther from my house than I would like. However, I would definitely recommend for people who don't mind driving or live close by and want a high end gym at a reasonable rate. ($89 for single/month).

Fantastic experience: Just started to come here- mainly for NextBarre but it has gotten me back into swimming and other activities such as Zumba, Yoga and Aquafit. Very thoughtful staff and absolutely the cleanest gym I have belonged to. Hope they will add more NextBarre classes. Non-judgmental nor intimidating - at least for me!
