Gold's Gym Totowa

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in Golds Totowa, I was shown nothing but love and support. Especially going through my first bodybuilding prep… Golds was behind me and showed unconditional support the whole journey. The club staff are awesome and nothing but respectful. Jeff has to be the coolest frigen guy there is. (Feel like I’ve known him my whole life) The energy he always has and the positivity shown is truly amazing. One thing that stood out to me is the first day I was there, once my workout was done they said “see you tomorrow”… that spoke beyond words to me. If there’s ANY gym that I PERSONALLY would recommend, it would have to and 100% be Golds Totowa! Unfortunately there is only 5 stars to rate because if there was 10, it would be well earned.

Fantastic experience: Shout out to the awesome owners who clearly did a great job hand picking their staff. You will not find better trainers or help at another gym because this team is just amazing. While I haven’t met all staff every single one that i have encountered has been nothing less than incredible. The genuine care, encouragement, and professionalism is unmatched! Beginning with my favorites, James who makes the besttt drinks with the biggest smile, Janine who is always around and helps with anythinggg I need because shes the best and Bobby who is the most phenomenal trainer you could ever have! I would also say to definitely try out the spin class with Maria, she’s fantastic! Overall I would absolutely recommend this gym to any and everyone!!

Fantastic experience: This was a phenomenal gym, I’ve been looking for gyms all around with my new move to New Jersey. I did the guess pass and front desk was SO NICEE!! I was greeted by Joey with the biggest smile and he helped with me with the whole process! I enjoyed the women’s only section, I loved my own privacy and their wide variety of equipment.

Fantastic experience: I love golds gym at Totowa, NJ and you will too. The equipments are high end quality. Spin classes Wednesday night and Friday are fun to attend too amongst other classes. Love this gym and highly recommend others to attend . You won’t be disappointed

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym since 1998. It’s always felt like home. The staff is very friendly. The shakes are amazing and the atmosphere is how you would like a gym to be. Probably the best part of this gym is Gio. Always courteous and really takes the time out to interact with every gym member. Every time I walk into the gym I can always count on two things, I’m going to have a great work out and Gio will be waiting to greet me with a smile

Fantastic experience: My favorite gym ever! Always clean, organized, and there's a wide variety of equipment to use. The music they play is always a bop. All the people that workout here are so nice too and it's easy to make new friends! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially Gio. Always welcomes me when I come in and he is a great conversationalist. He's a dedicated worker, and the literal fabric of Gold's would probably fall apart if it weren't for his exceptional service!

Fantastic experience: Very good gym with excellent equipment and a friendly staff. The only downside is I wish it was open 24 hours considering the price. Gyms like planet fitness are open 24 hours.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best gyms that Ive been to. The place is always clean and has a ton of equipment. If you want to get into shape, sign up with some of the best trainers around. They specialized a program specifically for my needs. I’ve work out with trainers in the past, but Bobby, Jose and Rae will absolutely challenge you to get you to where you want to be. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I started going to golds gym in August of 2021. We have been very impressed with all aspects of the gym. The location is very convenient. The facility is huge. So, you have room to work out. It is extremely clean. The equipment is in good working order. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! We work with a personal trainer, Janine Baratta, and she is the absolute best- always keeping our workouts fresh and making sure we have good form. She has a genuine concern for her clients and goes out of her way to accommodate our schedules! I love that there is a space dedicated to personal training. If you are looking to join a gym I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend trying out their “personal training” program.

Fantastic experience: Now this place here is top notch! Backed by a truly professional staff, owners Jeff and Gina are truly exceptional. They cater to all regardless of fitness level. Certainly the cleanest gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. An amazing amount of space, equipment and parking. As a veteran, walking through the front doors and seeing the wall of heroes gets me pumped every time. I highly recommend this establishment.

Fantastic experience: As a Veteran I was invited to a car show and Veterans Day celebration put on by the Owners of Golds Gym Totowa. I was pleasantly surprised at the organization cleanliness, overall friendliness of the Staff and members. It is a family affair at Golds Totowa and I do mean Family! Jeff, Gina and both children play a part in the overall operation. But aside from immediate family Jeff and Gina look at their Staff as family as well. Jeff supports local hero’s as well. Members of Police, Fire, and First responders are certainly members and are welcome. That is not all the facility has been recognized as the best Golds Gym. This Gym adapted to requirements to ensure member safety during the Covid Crisis when most gyms could not sustain. They have so much to offer outside of the normal workout offerings. It is worth the trip to check them out. You won’t walk away disappointed. Job well done Jeff and Gina!!!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Golds Gym Totowa. The equipment is fabulous with lots of options to mix it up and create optimal workouts to produce gains and improvements. Not only is the equipment top notch, but the gym is like a family. I usually go in the morning before work and it’s super friendly, encouraging and motivating. EVERYONE IS SOOOOO NICE! it’s also a great space with open areas for various boot camp, HIIT or it’s perfect for days when you want to have a quieter space. I also must comment on cleanliness! In today’s world, a healthy, sanitized atmosphere is important and nonnegotiable. GOLDS GYM has high expectations for keeping our gym clean and offers stations for us to clean as well! Love this! Most of all, it’s full of wonderful people, from the front reception staff, trainers, members and owners. Golds Gym will be a part of my life for a long time!

Fantastic experience: Post COVID I was on the hunt for a new gym home. Typically, I've been part of studio gyms and a bit hesitant to join. However Janine, has been wonderful to work with during the transition. I was able to work out a plan that worked best for me in terms of Personal Training. Jose has certainly surpassed my expectations in what I was looking for as a trainer. I've worked with boxing trainers for 5+ years and within 3 sessions I knew he was the perfect fit. It's never the same workout and there's a method to his madness with his grueling workouts. Rae is a friendly face and it's great to see him day to day, always upbeat! Overall, I'd recommend this gym to anyone-- whether you're a early bird, late evening , shy, intermediate or abeginner. There's a place for you there!

Fantastic experience: AMAZING GYM! Donna (I believe she’s the manager) was very helpful when I had a problem with my month-to-month subscription. She called me immediately and apologized for any issue that I had and resolved it in less than a day. Now the gym: everything is very well organized and clean and there are multiple machines for any workout that you need to do! If I could I’d give this place more than five stars!

Fantastic experience: Positive: Communication , Professionalism , Quality Always clean, wide variety of machines & free weights that can accommodate whatever body part(s) you’re trying to hit, ample cardio equipment, a separate turf room, classes, TV’s, great shake bar……it’s all you need in a gym. On top of all of that, the owners & the staff are all always wonderful, helpful, and pleasant to deal with.

Fantastic experience: It did not take me long to feel like I was right at home after joining Golds Gym in Totowa NJ in June of 2021. I’m no stranger to gyms. I think I’ve been in and out more than 100 of them over the years. Proud to hang my hat here and get down to business. The energy and atmosphere is great and the owners are hands-on and care about the facility and it’s members. The staff is amazing. What else can I say !? I love it there!

Fantastic experience: Great large gym with great team and equipment. I've been going here on and off for a decade while living out of state. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and even remembers my protein shake orders! The high ceilings and ample, well-spaced, and clean equipment makes for a good workout experience. Other members have always been friendly and welcoming. While it may not have the high-end locker room / products experience, it has everything you need and more for fantastic workouts and classes with good people around. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy I joined this particular gym and I am excited to work out here several times each week. I have never been the type of person to go to the gym to work out five or six times a week. In fact, if you told me a few months ago that I would look forward to working out this often I would have been highly skeptical. I like this particular gym because everyone here, both staff and members, are totally focused on working out. With that said, this isn’t the type of gym where people are looking to judge others or compare themselves to others or make anyone feel like they don’t belong. The culture of professionalism mixed with celebrating fitness is tangible. That makes it such a great place to start the journey towards improving both strength and weight management. I am looking forward to continuing my membership when my contract expires and I am excited about getting in shape at this particular gym. In terms of COVID, I have observed that the communal culture is that wearing masks and cleaning equipment is shared by the overwhelming majority of members. I have observed that the staff are always highly attentive and I believe that this is the type of place that suits both beginners like me as well as experienced members as well. Good stuff in Totowa!

Fantastic experience: Big shout out to Donna for one of the best customer experience. I joined this club February 2020 - purchased the annual membership from Costco and had only a couple of weeks to access the club before the big lockdown. Since reopening in September 2020, I have yet to visit for personal health reasons. I have been in constant communication with Donna to ensure my membership is still intact and that I won't lose any months to no fault of my own. She reassured me that I will be made whole. I plan on returning once I get my second shot late May. Bringing my gym bag with me to the appointment. Can't wait! Thank you Donna!! See you soon.

Fantastic experience: This gym is BY FAR the best gym in this area! It’s so clean, it’s very big, never a wait, they have everything and the owners are the nicest people. All their Covid procedures are in order and I feel very safe. Definitely check them out!!!

I’ve been coming here since my senior year of High school and the staff are beyond friendly, and when working out you get a vibe that everyone’s there for the same goal as you (get stronger and staying healthy). Fantastic experience: Gold's Gym Totowa is by the best gym I have EVER been apart of (including many of their peers LA Fitness, Crunch, and Retro Fitness just to name a few). On October 9th, I celebrated my 26th birthday. Upon scanning in, the scanner begin singing happy birthday and the desk staff joined in in wishing me a happy birthday. Something so small truly made my day and is just one of the many reasons why I am blessed to call Gold's Gym Totowa HOME.

The members are down to Earth and friendly. The Childcare staff are the best around. They take such good care of kids. The owners are so wonderful too. Very approachable if you have questions or concerns. Best gym around.

Fantastic experience: I truly enjoying coming to this gym and appreciate the renovation that the new owner Jeff has incrementally and continuously enhanced throughout my membership. The men's locker room has taken a fresh new facelift and the staff are friendly and pleasant to know . There is exercise equipment for any stage of members ranging from the athlete to someone who just wants to maintain their health. I would recommend Golds Gym in Totowa for anyone thinking of joining.

Fantastic experience: I got evacuated from Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC because of Hurricane Florence. This was the closest gym in the area I’m staying so I decided to give it a shot. Probably the best Golds I’ve ever been to. The owner is prior military and told me before knowing I was a member I could come workout for free! I went on a Saturday and stayed 15 mins prior to them closing. After my workout I went to purchase a protein cookie but they were already counting the registers. The owner took $3 out of his pocket and paid for it. I can’t speak on the old management but the new guy is awesome and takes care of his own. I’ll be in town for a few days and I plan on coming back. A++++++

Fantastic experience: This gym is the perfect gym for parents! The childcare/kids club is amazing - every woman that works there is so kind, caring and qualified. You can tell they truly care about the well-being of every child - I have absolutely no hesitation dropping off my 2 children there (7 months & 3 years). They always make sure they’re staffed to accommodate how ever many kids are there to ensure an appropriate ratio of caregivers to children, with a minimum of 2 always there (during the hours they’re open). The childcare room and attached bathroom is incredibly clean - as is the rest of the facility. My 3 year old LOVES going to the gym with me. The front desk staff are super friendly and also make great shakes (highly recommend you give them a try ). The owners are often there and are extremely involved in the every day operation of the gym. They’re also very receptive to feedback, both positive and negative (although I, personally, have no negatives to say about Gold’s). They are constantly making improvements to the gym - currently they’re working on a boxing room and creating a cross fit wing. There’s a ton of equipment, both weights and cardio (all very clean). They offer a wide range of classes and all the classes are great for whatever shape you’re in. The instructors show modifications for each move to either increase or lower the intensity, so you get what you put into the class. Roe & Maria are my personal favorites, you’ll never go wrong with a class they’re teaching! For those who like to tan, they also have both an upright and lay down tanning bed I honestly cannot say enough good things about this gym!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym overall! Huge space with every piece of equipment you could possibly need. Never overcrowded, so no waiting time for machines. There's an indoor basketball court, too. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: the staff is great and the classes are amazing. especially kickboxing and ripped. the members are friendly and helpful. i no longer feel like i used to in other gyms where guys approach you to get your number. they are always helpful.
