Upper Limits Indoor Rock Climbing Gym Chesterfield

Fantastic experience: Had a blast at this gym! Tons of bouldering routes varrying in difficulty ensured a fun, safe experience for every member of our party. Staff members were extremely helpful and informative. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. This is a great place to bring your family, learn some fun problem solving, and even make friends in the climbing community, as the other climbers there when we went were extremely friendly and respectful.

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing place. Me and my fiancee went here and it was a really cool environment. They had a great variety of bouldering walls and the mix of fun and challenging was really awesome. The employees were really nice and helpful. We stepped out for a quick bite to eat and then came back and they remembered us and our shoe sizes pretty well. Overall this was a great place to spend an afternoon.

Fantastic experience: Our 6 year old loves the Wacky Walls at Upper Limits and has since she was 4. The staff is very friendly and they all do great orientation lessons. I do recommend having reservations because they can get busy.

Positive experience: Girls and I had a good time. They enjoyed the wacky walls section..but man did it get packed quick. Wish there was some sort of time slots given. We tried the Boulder Walls. The both, 7 and 10, where able to complete the V 0, 1 & 2 holds to the finish. Wish there was a bit more enthusiasm from the staff in making sure those with zero climbing exp. where doing ok or doing things correctly. But the other climbers(customers) that where there where helpful. Would go again.

Fantastic experience: Best place for a birthday party in St. Louis! Our party host was so helpful the whole two hours, and all the kids had a great time! 90 minutes of climbing was more than enough. The party room was well set up and not having to clean was great. Easiest party I’ve ever thrown

Fantastic experience: This particular location has "Wacky Walls" specifically geared for kids. The staff is very helpful in going over everything for new climbers. I always get great customer service when visiting. My child always has a great time here. It's great physical activity on a rainy/cold day. I highly recommend this for any child.

Fantastic experience: Great bouldering gym! Lots of route options but not so many that the walls feel cluttered. Would be even better if they had some short auto belay routes, but definitely a great fun if you are looking to boulder or do a general climbing training session

Fantastic experience: I love this facility! It’s great for bouldering. Nunz was a wonderful instructor and explained everything super clearly. I felt safe top rope climbing with him there even though it was my partner’s first time belaying!

Fantastic experience: If you are into bouldering more than top rope, this is your place! There's even a room dedicated for the little ones called "Wacky Walls" which is fun (keep in mind, there's an extra cost)! Would definitely come back here again!

Fantastic experience: Super fun place! We were visiting St Louis for a short trip and found Upper Limits. Fun for all (ages 11-43). Staff was super nice and helpful! Covid precautions being taken seriously as well.

The staff was friendly and communicated clearly, then left us to appreciate the space. Some of the climbers were obviously regulars who gave our group tips from time to time. We had a blast.

Fantastic experience: I really like this climbing gym. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the routes are challenging but still sendable. They change the routes often enough to keep it interesting but not so often that you don't get a chance to master a problem you've been working. I highly recommend this climbing gym.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Upper Limits multiple times now, and every time I have had a blast (and a good workout). The bouldering area has routes for all skill levels. There are rental climbing shoes you can use. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I look forward to when I can go here again.

Fantastic experience: I am an avid climber and this is the perfect gym for getting your bouldering workouts in! Tons of routes, great staff and an amazing children’s climbing room! I took my daughter here when I was visiting my parents for her first climb and she loved every second there! A great place to introduce kids to the sport and a great place for advanced climbers as well!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff and fun place. Very clean. I'd to rock climb and love getting back into it. The environment there is friendly from staff to members. Fun to Boulder and get a work out without having to stare at a treadmill. When you take breaks between runs you can watch how someone else tackles one. There was a great member there that showed my family and a different approach to a run and it was great just fun and helpful. I love a mental and physical challenge. Thanks upper limits

Fantastic experience: This place is seriously fantastic! We had a kids birthday party here and from start to finish it was a great experience. Everyone was super friendly and our party helpers (or whatever they’re called!) made things SO much easier! The wacky walls room felt really safe and the kids had a blast! We could have stayed longer! Everything was clean and the party room was surprisingly really cool. We’re planning on going back very soon!

Fantastic experience: We've used climbing gyms all over the country, Upper Limits is our favorite! Our daughter just finished a week long camp here and she is HOOKED! Big shoutout to Faith for making climbing so much fun for our kid! This place is the best!

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite places to rock climb. I prefer bouldering anyways so im a bit bias. Came in needing a pair of shoes and an employee, Faith spent almost 2 hours helping me out and swapping shoes. Super helpful and easy to get along with. :)

He understood sizing for the shoes, safety protocols, and even gave us tips on technique to get started. Couldn’t ask for more friendly service. Great spot to get a full body workout! Fantastic experience: This was my first indoor gym climbing experience. I found the staff to be very friendly and my instructor (Tyler Stender) was very knowledgeable, passionate and helpful. It was intimidating for me but he was able to guide me through the gym in a way that would allow me to be successful. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly reccomend it!! I will need a lot more practice so I plan to come back often. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: We just took our 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter. The gym is very clean, appropriately priced, and the staff is amazing. We did an hour on the Wacky Wall and that was perfect for the kids. We are thinking of planning a birthday party soon. Faith helped us out and she was sweet and informative. Definitely will be visiting again.

Fantastic experience: Took my grandkids, ages 6 and 9, for 2 hrs on wacky walls. They had a great time, and I enjoyed watching them climb. Nice guys with lots of patience putting harnesses on little kids.

Fantastic experience: This place is a blast and not too pricey! Took my boys (5 and 6 yrs) to the Wacky Wall room on a whim the other day. They played for 2 hours and when time was up, they did not want to leave! The room is the perfect size to make it easy to keep your eye on a few kiddos at the same time. It was very safe and their were several employees walking around helping out and just watching. I also found several deals for them on Groupon.

Fantastic experience: What a fun way to entertain a 6 and 7 year old. First time there. Staff was friendly and always there to help if needed. The kids had such a good experience and they are looking forward to our next visit! Very easy to keep an eye on two kids at a time! Spent 2 hours there at a reasonable price with a groupon! Fantastic experience: BEST. KIDS. CLIMBING. EVER. Like in the history of ever. Pricey, but SO worth it if you’ve got kiddos bouncing off the wall. You don’t need an adult to belay kids (manage the ropes), but anyone younger than about 6 will need help clipping in & out (attaching their harness to & from the ropes), so plan your adult ratios accordingly. Tricky, but not impossible to keep a non-harnessed toddler entertained while older siblings climb. It gets busy at peak times and they cap how many climbers they’ll allow, so call ahead to schedule your slot!

Fantastic experience: The staff here is very awesome. They were helpful and patient. The venue itself is really cool with all the amenities one would need while adventuring in there. A workout area, lockers, various beverages and a neat area that looked for the younger ones! Definitely a must visit if you're into a different adventure or just love rock climbing.

Fantastic experience: Great time climbing in the wacky walls room. This is ideal for kids from about 7-12. Younger kids will need a bit of someone's help to attach and detach from each wall.

Fantastic experience: This place was a lot of fun. This was me and my daughter's first time here and the employees made everything easy and fun for us. Prices were very reasonable and equipment seemed in great shape and brand new. They showed us and explained everything in detail and we're there to answer any questions we had. Towards the end the guy helping us a majority of the time gave us some coupons for the next time. We will definitely be back again.

Fantastic experience: We have 6 kids and all of them (that can walk) loved this place! There are various types of walls to climb in the kid zone that accommodate the differing athletic abilities as well as comfort with heights. Next time we go we plan to let the older kids try the area outside of the kids zone as more of a challenge. The kids have been asking constantly when we can go back! We are all excited for our next visit to Upper Limits in Chesterfield.

Fantastic experience: This new location is awesome. They have new Incredible meds that allow you to Boulder with no harness to a little better than 15 feet. They obviously have every skill level you could imagine here as well of his classes for kids to get into rock climbing. At this location they have installed an entire kids room that has the auto belay on every course. The room itself is awesome. They have rock walls that you can climb. For the very young they have spider webs and easier walls to climb. They even have a pile of Cubes that you could just make anything you want and try and climb on top of it. It's a good bridge between those who are you too young to rock climb and those that can. Pay a fee and you can be in the room for an hour doing whatever you want and you get to take yourself on and off belay. There is technically no minimum size but I think it's under 45 pounds will have a harder time enjoying themselves with the auto belay. It's constantly pulling the autobelay rope in your face. This place is great for my seven-year-old but my four-year-old doesn't quite like it yet.

Fantastic experience: Update: staff is incredible. Steve was so generous with his time and knowledge. Staff was friendly. Great place to learn bouldering. Best workout ever! I'll be on V0-1 for a while, but that's okay, ha ha.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great! At first I didn't even want to go after seeing the mock up photos. Man was I wrong every inch of this place is cool with great vibes! The bouldering wall's are amazing and there is so much to climb!. The cave is AWESOME! The routes are well done and you have just about every style of bouldering route there is. A comprehensive upstairs training area. Beautiful stylish locker rooms. I climbed at Climb So iLL for 2 years mostly bouldering several times a week which was pretty darn good. Then I moved over to Upper Limits Maryland Heights and that was ok. This new location is with out a doubt the best bouldering gym in St. Louis hands down. This gym probably has more bouldering wall area and bouldering routes than at all the other gyms combined in St. Louis. This gym also has the best and most varied style and difficulty of routes than any other gym in St. Louis.

Fantastic experience: This gym is top shelf! Has something for everybody. All abilities welcomed and a relaxed, clean, cozy facility with experienced, good friendly folks running the operation. Wicked bouldering! Fun kid stuff, oh my!! My personal favorite is the training area upstairs, which boasts super top-notch facilities including some of the best campus boards I've seen and used in a gym and a terrific system wall, awesome holds and rings, and nice and clean lounge seats that aren't all grungy like other gyms. Perfect spot with mobile gadgetry plug-ins and wi-fi to rest in style between burns! Great view of the climbing below for watching your friends and family climb too! Love it. Emily and Dave are the super shiny happy and helpful management who make you feel all good inside after another day climbing at Upper Limits !

Fantastic experience: Great Climbing Gym. Cool routes that challenge the mind and the body. Friendly staff that helps direct you to a fun experience no matter what your level of experience is. The new kids fun area is really a hoot with something different in the climbing world. Great for birthday parties for the kiddos. The bouldering and walls for people of all ages and skills that want a new challenge.
