Fantastic experience: I have done personal training a few times before but nothing like the one with Petro when he last visited London. He demonstrates a switch between high and low intensity always bearing the proper alingment in mind throughout the work out, keeping the energy always in high levels. Just like having your own personal boot camp. He introduces each time a combination of different excercises that suits your needs and goals and i was so pleased that he could take my back and knee injuries in consideration and work around them putting my health and well-being above all without missing out on a high energy workout nevertheless. I really wish he was visiting London more often.
Fantastic experience: Over the years I have considered myself mostly a runner. I have run 6 marathons and averaged 40 miles per week. After running the Boston Marathon I decided I wanted to take a little break from running and was looking for a way to stay in shape. I met Petro and after hearing about his training philosophy I started working with him 1:1. Petro is different than any trainer I've had as he takes my fitness and goals very personally. He makes sure that I am not only focusing on the physical fitness but also my eating by reviewing my food journal and helps with other areas of personal development in my daily life. In addition to the personal training I have begun to join his various boot-camps which provide a high energy and fast paced group exercise session which provides additional variety, motivation, and camaraderie with other like minded folks. I never really understood what a "life coach" or "health coach" was but now I do and that is what Petro is for me!
Fantastic experience: My wife and I attended Petro's Fitness and Yoga retreat last November, and it was by far the most relaxing AND energizing vacation we've ever been on. The views of the ocean and rainforest from the villa are truly spectacular! Now imagine waking up to the sunrise each morning, having a great workout with a group of newly made friends, followed by a delicious smoothie and a healthy, fresh breakfast prepared by your own chef. After breakfast, we gladly enjoyed the infinity pool (overlooking the rainforest and the ocean), watched toucans from the gazebo (it’s a secret spot, located inside the villa’s garden, perfect for bird watching, reading or just taking an afternoon nap :-), till the lunch came and it was time for another creative culinary surprise from our chef. While we would have been perfectly content just staying and enjoying the beauty of the area from the villa’s pool, Petro offered us several excursions during the week, all of which were fantastic. Hiking turned out to be a great cardio workout, and swimming at the waterfalls offered another memorable experience. We also enjoyed meeting some local monkeys and iguanas on our trip to the beach (they were super-friendly!) Evening yoga sessions were just as amazing (when was the last time you exercised while watching the sun set on the ocean? :) ) When we returned home, we felt an unbelievable flow of energy, something we haven’t experienced in a long time. Now I am practicing Petro’s circuit-training routine several times a week, and look forward to another amazing retreat next year.
Fantastic experience: Never thought that a "retreat" style holiday would be my thing...but I went to Costa Rica last year, and boy was I wrong! Petro and Grace did an amazing job of awakening our curiosity and ambition; not once did it feel like a chore to get up and exercise...and I actually ended up not being able to wait for those sunset yoga sessions to begin. If you are looking for an extremely well-equipped trainer who still manages to make you feel good about doing something great for your body, look no further. Petro is your man. And there is something about getting up in the morning, hearing the monkeys and looking across your infinity pool into the horizon that contributes to the atmosphere. Definitely a different experience than my home gym :-)
Fantastic experience: I trained with Danny Riggi to prepare for my wedding pictures this summer. I am very happy that I had the opportunity to train with Danny. I came to him with specific goals of losing weight and toning up. Specifically, I wanted to tone my arms and back. I also needed help with nutrition and a meal plan since I have a desk job and do not get much movement in during the day. During our sessions together we worked several exercises to target my arms, back, and chest. He helped me to perfect my form to achieve my desired results without hurting my body. He also explained to me what I needed to do to work towards my goal on our off days. He explained to me the importance of strength training, cardio, and nutrition. He recommended meal ideas, snacks, and dedicated meal plans for certain days. He explained the importance of breaking several bad habits I had in order to achieve my goals and have a healthier life style. Danny is a very friendly and polite person to work with. He is professional and well mannered while he motivates and educates you. He is very easy to get along with and I always left the gym feeling great. At the end of the day I achieved my goals of losing weight and toning up. My wedding pictures turned out better than I could have imagined thanks to Danny. They are exactly how I wanted them to look, and I am happy that I felt confident and good about the way I looked in them. I also gained a much healthier life style. I had more energy and confidence than ever before. I highly recommend Danny as a personal trainer. His dedication to fitness will help you to achieve your goals. You will not be disappointed.
Fantastic experience: I worked with Daniel Riggi and can honestly say he is one the best personal trainers I know. I came to him with the goal of putting on 10 pounds of muscle while also trying to get strong and while maintaining agility for hockey. Over the course of just one summer with his help with both workout regimens and nutritional guidelines I was able to well surpass my goals by adding 15 pounds of muscle and still being able to maintain my lateral quickness and all thanks to him. I would personally recommend him for anyone who is trying to get in shape for whatever reason that they may have.
Fantastic experience: I worked extensively with Danny at Niagara University. He was the strength and conditioning coach for both the division and club sports there. I've been an athlete my entire life, and Danny's knowledge and attitude, by far, exceeds any trainer or coach I've ever dealt with. His strength and conditioning program helped boost the athleticism, mobility, and competitiveness of the Men's Lacrosse team at Niagara. We looked forward to his practices every week (and cursed him afterwords), and his training helped us reach a competitive level for one of our tournaments that took place at University of Maryland. Not only does he explain what, or how, to do something, but he also explains WHY you're doing it. He's very well-versed in matters of training and nutrition alike, and his knowledge has a very broad scope. During the off season (and in season), he constantly requested updates on our training programs, sent us email updates, and bent over backwards to help out his clients and athletes. He really goes the extra mile in both training and communication. I also worked with Danny on personal training matters in addition to his strength and conditioning programs. Danny helped me break plateaus, reach new personal records, and set me up with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to reach my goals. He is constantly motivating individuals to reach their goals, and shares in the excitement when his clients succeed. Whether you have experience with fitness, or even if you're brand new to the fitness world, I guarantee that Danny has something to offer for you.
Fantastic experience: Petro Martynyuk has changed my outlook on fitness. He not only has taught me the importance of fitness, but also how to achieve a healthy, fit lifestyle. His boot camps and one on one training have been things I look forward to in my week. He worked with me towards achieving my goals every time I worked out with him. Petro’s Sunday boot camps are like no other workout! They are full of high intensity fitness activities that get your heart beating. One thing that has truly helped me create a healthy life style, was his healthy diet coaching. He helped me create a nutritious diet to accompany my fitness training. I have had an extremely positive experience working with Petro Martynyuk Fitness + Wellness and cannot wait to continue!
Fantastic experience: Stop looking, you've found your trainer. I met Petro in late August when I signed up for his PowerX class at my gym. The class was incredibly difficult, but do-able with his encouragement, demonstrations, and if needed, modifications. But, to be completely honest, I hated him for a few minutes after class while I determined if I would be able to walk to my car. After I realized I could walk, I was hooked on that class and kept coming back. I've been working with Petro 1 on 1 for about 2 months now and have lost over 15 pounds. Petro's recommendations have slowly taken over my diet and I eat REAL food now. I'm not exactly sure how he got me to cook, but he did. He listens to me and makes realistic recommendations that work for my life. Petro answers my questions, encourages me, pushes me to work hard everyday, puts up with my *occasional* whining, and continues to challenge me at each and every workout. He certainly doesn't take it easy on me and I appreciate that. I fit into jeans I haven't worn in years. Co-workers stop me in the hallway to comment on how happy I look. I'm able to run now and truly enjoy it. My life has completely changed and I feel great! I've signed up for Petro's next Boot Camp and will also continue to work with him 1 on 1. If you're smart, you'll do the same thing.........
Fantastic experience: I attended the fitness retreat in Costa Rica with Petro in October, 2014. It was one of the best experiences in my lifetime. It was 7 days packed full of great workouts, healthy foods and amazing team building with the other attendees. If you are looking for a great vacation, a detox and an awesome experience, then I highly recommend this retreat.
Fantastic experience: Simply put, I've tried the rest and now I've found the BEST: Petro! I had given up on personal trainers until I met him. I'd grown frustrated by trainers who either weren't knowledgeable or weren't dependable. Petro knows what he's talking about and he's reliable & organized. His personal training sessions are informative and exhausting, which is exactly how I like them. It's clear he puts a lot of forethought into our sessions. I appreciate that. Petro targets his workout plans to his client's particular needs, so my routine is different than a routine of a client with different goals. That's important! My sessions are high-intensity, near-insanity, feel-like-I'm-about-to-pass-out workouts, but that's my choice! He takes a different approach with others. Petro pushes you without being overly aggressive, and he doesn't take himself, or fitness, too seriously. I started with his bootcamps and now I do personal-training sessions, and I'd highly recommend both if you're interested in pushing your limits and getting in the best shape of your life!
Fantastic experience: Getting involved with Petro Fitness' "Say I Do" Bootcamp Series was the second best decision I have made in regards to my journey to reclaim my helth. The best decision I have made was to Start. From consultation and weigh in, DAY 1, Petro and his team helped ease my nervousness about beginning the bootcamp program with informative emails, nutrition advice for workout days, and relentless motivation. The fact that he was available through email and phone was imperative in guiding my choices when I had questions about my routine, daily calorie intake, making better decisions in regards to my health and how to reach my goals. Training days were often times not pretty for me. But I pushed, because I knew that Petro and his team had my back. They motivated me to always do my best, even when i thought I couldnt push on, I did. Since starting the "Say I Do" Series Bootcamp, Ive lost close to 20 lbs, 2 inches off my waist, and dropped 6 suit sizes. I feel amazing, not just on workout days, but EVERYDAY. I started with a goal, to lose the weight needed to start Helicopter Flying Lessons, and I obliterated it! My lessons started last week and im checking off another bucket list item, thanks to Petro Fitness and his team. I still have work to do to get where I want, but I look better, feel better, and have a tremendous mental clarity that I can thank Petro Fitness for leading me to. Im looking forward to the next series, just maybe with less stairs!!! He doesnt need Credibility, he HAS IT.
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Danny Riggi as my personal trainer twice a week for three months prior to him relocating to North Carolina. Danny is an excellent trainer with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for overall health for his clients. He took the time to assess the problem and then he came up with a plan to help me overcome obstacles that had been in my way for years. The workouts were challenging and enjoyable at the same time. He always introduced new exercises into the workouts, which kept things progressing. The best compliment I can give is I wish Danny were still my trainer in Western New York. If you get an opportunity to have Danny as your trainer you wont be disappointed.
Fantastic experience: I went on a Costa Rica wellness retreat organized by Petro Martynyuk in October 2014. I was familiar with his work as a trainer as well as his active involvement with nutrition brand ETB / Eat The Bear, but I had never worked one on one with him and it had been years since I had last seen him. Feeling pretty burnt out from a nonstop busy period at work in New York, I signed up for his wellness retreat (which I found out about over social media) and figured I would give it a try. How glad I am that I did. The trip was comprised of seven days at a grand, sweeping property sitting on the side of a mountain overlooking the Pacific Ocean -- all located in the middle of the jungle of Costa Rica. Petro kept each day structured with a straightforward routine that kept the group engaged - from fresh wakeup tonics to sunrise boot camp to simple and clean meals around a massive wooden table and evening yoga, there was a nice rhythm to the whole trip. There was down time for chilling poolside, afternoon off site activities when the group might stay together or split off for a bit, and even time to read a book -- but across it all, we were anchored by a simple schedule that never felt forced. Meals were prepared by a private chef, we all had our own personal space in king sized rooms, and the property itself is something out of MTV Cribs in its grandeur and scale. There's really nothing like waking up to a private balcony and seeing toucans out your window, or sitting on the edge of the infinity pool and looking at the Pacific Ocean as howler monkeys wail through the forest. It was really fantastic (and luxurious) to recharge in this context. The retreat was not just about disconnecting and relaxing; there was also an active recovery element of the trip that Petro designed and implemented across each day's activities. His style as a trainer is direct, straightforward and ultimately efficient. His bootcamp programs were not designed to take all morning; they were designed to target key muscle groups and be as effective as possible. As needed, he tailored the program to individual capabilities and fitness levels, and explained multiple approaches to each movement in advance of beginning. We all knew what movements we were doing when we started, so no time was wasted asking questions because the instructor had rushed instructions. Petro kept an eagle eye on form of every member of the group, and his training was simple and focused -- thumbs way up. Victoria Martinez was Petro's co-pilot on the trip, an ayurverdic wellness specialist and yoga instructor. Her evening classes were a nice counter balance to the morning bootcamps, and while the two types of classes were very different, each day began and ended with intense body-oriented experiences which, again, was a nice rhythm and balance to fall into. The yoga classes were solid, paced well and all positions, transitions and movements were explained at the right speed to follow along with live as she led the class -- no one was caught wondering what we were doing next, or what arm to move where, as can happen in yoga classes where the teacher isn't so attuned to their students' practice. Post-yoga head massages with essential oils became the unanimous highlight of every single day. Additionally, she taught the group a multi-day primer on the basics of ayurveda, its principles and core ideas, as well as its practice and how to incorporate some of its key concepts into daily life. I'm personally a skeptic, but Victoria kept it easy, digestible and relatable, which is not an easy thing to do with the subject matter. I recommend both her yoga teaching and wellness instruction. Both Petro and Victoria went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time throughout the week. I'll definitely go on the next retreat that Petro organizes.
Fantastic experience: I've been looking for something/someone to help me get back into the shape that I want. No one, absolutely no one provides motivation like Petro. When you have him as your personal trainer you not only have someone pushing you to be your best and helping you look your best, you have someone who cares and is a living testimony to what hard work and perseverance can do. I have never looked forward to working out or enjoyed working out but now I do. With Petro's boot camp series you build friendships and find people who support you on your endeavors. Petro also emphasizes living healthy, not just a two to three times a week work out, making the results you get lasting. I think you'd be a fool not to train with the guy.
Fantastic experience: One word could easily sum up this review, "WOW!" I am continually impressed by Petro Martynyuk and his fitness/wellness programming. He is the consummate professional with the expertise and knowledge that is proven to show results....I am living proof! Petro's personal training programming has taught me how to become accountable to lead a healthy life-style from a holistic approach. He is much more than a trainer, assisting to improve all aspects of my lifestyle choices (i.e. stress, work, relationships, etc.). Beyond the gym, Petro seeks to educate and motivate individuals about making healthy choices when eating (and understanding the "why" behind the choice). Since working with Petro, I have seen a significantly positive change associated with my overall well-being to perform at work and life at my highest levels of efficiency. Of course, I am also seeing a physical change to achieve an incredibly toned and beautiful body!
Fantastic experience: “Sunday morning workout” is a phrase I’m only getting used to because of the help and guidance from Petro. An amazing trainer and all around great guy has helped push my motivation over the edge. If it wasn’t for time restraints, I would see this guy on a daily basis. The variance of his workouts gets your heart pumping and your body shaking (in a good way). I’ve done Insanity and P90X, boot camps and triathlons – Petro has what it takes to compete with these big named workout routines and help me train harder for upcoming races. Charlotte, NC needed a personal trainer of this caliber! I highly recommend and commend you, Petro! You’ve set up unique programs that combine exercises that a group can easily do together without feeling lost in a crowd. Fantastic experience: When I first signed up for the Say I Do bootcamp, I had no clue what to expect and all I could do is think "what have I done". Signing up for the bootcamp was the best decision I have ever made. The class was designed to allow the participant to do something for "you" and I did just that. Petro has helped me to kickstart a healthy lifestyle and move towards a new me. The class allowed a great group of people to commonly work towards a goal and have the support of one another and a phenomenal coach. Petro's style was unsurpassed and truly allowed me to perform at a higher level. Petro structured the class to always challenge me and push myself to a new height while introducing new workouts and techniques. I quickly transitioned from dreading the first day from fear of the unknown to getting excited and pumped for each class. Fantastic experience: Danny Riggi is the real deal!!!! I have been training with Danny for the past three years and he has never let me down. He takes the time to learn what my ideal goals are and creates a program that works best for me. As I continue to reach higher fitness goals, Danny has been there to reinvigorate my program so I never hit plateau. Naturally when I got engaged, Danny was my #1 motivator to get "bridal ready". Whether you are looking to change your lifestyle to get fit or take your body to the next level, Danny is your guy!!!!
Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of attending a "Train Clean - Get Lean Boot Camp" with Petro Martynyuk and four other delightful gentlemen this evening. I was an effective resistance training, small group class. I enjoyed Petro's personal training style from start to finish. I especially, appreciated how he took the time to teach us proper alignment and form, as I have a knee ailment. He even offered effective modifications to accommodate my knee. His boot camp featured 30 minute intervals in a fast past, high energy environment. It also didn't hurt that we had a great view as we were on the roof top of a high raise condominium. I will certainly experience Petro's Boot camp soon and you should too! What do you have to loose? Other than weight of course. ")
Fantastic experience: I was looking for a fitness coach who could help with my exercise routines. I wanted nutritional support as well as personal training. Weight lifting was also a goal of mine. A personal trainer in charlotte named Petro was referred to me by a friend. He came highly recommended, and definitely knew a lot about fitness. I am so happy with the help I have gotten through Petro Fitness. I would refer anyone looking to change their lives for the better.
Fantastic experience: Petro is an amazing personal trainer. Our boot camp session this morning was the best workout that I have ever had. The entire hour and a half was high energy and high intensity! After our first workout I know Petro can help me reach my fitness goals... very excited to exercise with him again :-)
Fantastic experience: I had the privilege of first meeting Petro when he began training clients at Charlotte Athletic Club. He is an amazing trainer and will push you to limits you never thought possible. When Petro announced his "Say I Do" bootcamp series, I was a little apprehensive about signing up because I had never been a part of group training. I am now finishing up his third series and it has been a lot of fun with great results! Can't wait for round four in the Fall. Take the time to meet and train with Petro because it will change your life!
Fantastic experience: Mind, Matter and the Power to Transform. Petro makes no bones about being a hard-nosed fitness-instructor with a very hard work ethic and an engaging, endearing and even indulging personality.What makes his fitness sessions, boot camps and even exotic Caribbean fitness retreats amazing is his ability to entice you to dive mind, body and spirit behind living and being healthy. I consider myself a fit person for 44 years old but Petro has indulged in my efforts to feel the best I can and make deliberate health choices be it food, workout or relaxation. Fantastic experience: Coming from a gymnastics background I was prepared to be ahead of the group, feeling like it wasn't enough for me. But, surely I was wrong. Petro is amazing at creating new and innovative workout routines that one's body is not familiar with on a daily basis. He really puts your mind and body to a challenge. Better yet, he pushes you to beat that challenge through coaching in the moment as well as a little motivation when you are at your last straw. I highly suggest Petro for anyone looking to better themselves.
Fantastic experience: Petro's boot camp and personal fitness training sessions are unbelievable. He allows exercises to be done in varying levels of ability when you are in a group session, and he is constantly engaged during the entire class/session. Petro emphasizes form regarding each exercise, he first demonstrates the exercise and kindly critiques (if needed) while you are performing the exercise. Don't let this have you thinking that the workout will not be high intensity or tough enough - Petro will work it out of you. You'll never leave one of Petro's sessions without feeling like you have achieved optimal exercise. By far, the best workout I've ever had! I look forward to many more workouts with Petro and the knowledge I will gain by doing so.
Fantastic experience: Going into my first boot camp session with Petro I thought to myself "I've got this, just another class full of warm up exersices". Within the first five minutes I was already mistaken, the high intensity warm up was completely different than any other class I had ever attended. From start to finish the entire work out is fast paced and energy filled. Also rather than just standing back and letting me cheat myself through the class, Petro makes sure each person is using proper form and alingment in order to achieve their ideal results. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Flex5! I’ve been a member of countless gyms and have used many trainers over the past decade and none compare to Darla and Jack. They are truly invested in your well-being and progress and are so knowledgeable about wellness as a whole- not just physical strength. They continually go above and beyond, using their own personal time to research and provide guidance on personal topics we talk about during our training sessions. They honestly care about their clients and are a joy to be around. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: I’ve enjoyed my experience with Flex5 Charlotte very much ! I’ve trained with Jack Kirven for almost 4 months. In that period of time, I’ve made a lot of improvements with flexibility, endurance and strength. Jack is very knowledgeable about fitness training. He incorporates all aspects of fitness training to give you a thorough workout: conditioning and flexibility, endurance, and strength training. Jack explains each exercise precisely and makes certain I use proper form. He’s patient with me as I learn the proper technique. I feel I’ve done a well rounded session each time I train with Jack. The Flex5 accommodations are very nice. Great spaces for training, yoga and group classes.. Besides the great training you get at Flex5, you’re able to make appointments with a chiropractor, masseuse, dietitian, and psycho therapist. Rolfing is also available. All are on site at Flex5 Charlotte. Flex5 Charlotte is a well rounded experience.
Fantastic experience: I always dream of having a great hair dresser and a great personal trainer. Fortunately, I got to check off the second part - Personal trainer. Flex5 is amazing because of its people. Everyone at Flex5 treats you with so much affection and passion that your fitness dream become theirs. I don’t have to remind my personal trainers what my fitness goals/dreams are rather sometimes they remind me and push my limits slowly and steadily. You feel like you are a part of their family. It has been 3 months and the results I see in myself are truly amazing. I have been working with Jack and Darla. Jack: I love him. I was never into fitness and hence had no strength, stamina what so ever. I was unable to do push ups, jumping rope, I had no shoulder strength and Jack has been consistent enough to focus on my weakness and make them better. I see the difference in the way I work out today. He always focuses on technique and quality. He has a keen eye to your body posture and will always make sure that your workouts are technically correct. There are days when I ask jack I want to do something fun and he just comes up with random fun exercises for me. He does push my limits without me realizing that he is doing so. He is great! Darla – She is equally amazing. I love her too. Her exercise routines are well organized. For a given routine, she includes exercises for burn, core, and strength, basically she covers it all. At the same time, she does educate me with good habits to practice so that I can see better results during my journey.
Fantastic experience: Flex5 is a state of the art, fitness and wellness center! The owners and the staff are great at what they do, and very knowledgeable in what they teach. They motivate and push you, to see the better you, that we all have inside of us! I started my fitness journey in August of 2016. I'm 5'9"and weighed in at 200lbs. This also gave my the determination to stop smoking and drinking! I can proudly say as a mid 40's male, that I am 170lbs of lean muscle, with a budding six pack!!! Thanks Flex5, for all that you do!!!
Fantastic experience: I've been training with Brian Mazhari at Flex5 since January and both Brian and Flex5 are great! Brian's workouts are varied and intense. I stay interested in them because no two sessions are ever the same -- and he doesn't let me slack off! I plan on training at Flex5 with Brian for a long time to come.
Fantastic experience: The boot camp classes are great! I've never been successful when I've tried to go to the gym and do things by myself. The group classes provide me the structure and motivation that I need to push myself to succeed. Petro's "Say I Do Beach Body Class" and Mitch's "Tabata" are challenging but leave you feeling great afterward.
Fantastic experience: I've been working out with Victoria for 7 months now. Through her Ayurveda sessions , she helped me navigate through an very difficult time in my life. After that, I've worked out with her through personal training sessions and her Chakra yoga class every week.Victoria and the Flex5 family inspires you to be great and truly stands behind the #bethechange movement. I'm so grateful to have found this fitness family and I highly recommend flex5 to everyone!
Fantastic experience: Love Flex5 and their wonderful team of instructors. Just started my second Say I Do class series with Petro and it rocks! Great workout completed in an efficient 45 min time frame. Highly recommend this place and the high end facilities. Ps- If you have a chance try out the Yoga classes. One of the best I have tried in Charlotte.

Fantastic experience: Flex5 has everything I could ask for in personalized fitness. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and the facility is complete with state-of-the art equipment. I love the variety of small-group classes they offer in addition to their one-on-one training. Power Yoga with Victoria has become my personal favorite. Flex5 certainly accommodates my 9-5 work schedule. I typically get in my work out before heading to work in the morning. Their shower facilities are always clean and they provide towels and toiletries so when I leave Flex5 I am energized, confident and ready for my day. They also have a terrific wellness spa that offers nutritionist services, massages and retails essential oils. Forget about what you thought a gym was and check out Flex5, you will not regret it!
Fantastic experience: I have been training with Brian Mazhari for almost a year and it's been amazing to experience significant improvement in my fitness levels and to see body transformation. Brian creates a tailored personal training plan to help you meet your specific needs and goals. When I first started training with Brian, I had knee issues that limited what I could do. With targeted strength training over time, I am now able to do movements that weren't possible before, without pain. Brian keeps the training sessions fun and continually introduces new activities and variations so I always feel challenged and engaged. In addition, I have recently started taking yoga classes with Victoria Martinez. I always leave her classes feeling calm, centered, and refreshed. Victoria doesn't just lead the class. She teaches, trains, and assists to ensure that you learn proper form and technique. She also incorporates Ayurvedic and aromatherapy elements into her classes. I love Flex5's holistic approach to fitness. For them, it's truly about lifestyle and overall wellness: training sessions, yoga, nutrition counseling, massage therapy, and much more. What makes Flex5 so special is that they are truly building a community here. This boutique atmosphere allows clients and trainers alike to get to know one another and build relationships. It's truly a special place, and coming to Flex5 is one of the highlights of my week.

Fantastic experience: I went to my first yoga class with Victoria as part of a work event and to be honest I was there to network. I knew I wasn't going to be good at yoga and I wasn't interested in just laying in a dark room and breathing deeply. After that first class I became addicted to the environment of the classes and then quickly to yoga itself. Victoria is amazing and her energy and attitude are both contagious. The love and joy you feel in her classes are 100% coming from her and it's addictive. I am thinner, stronger, and happier now than I was before that first class. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Fantastic experience: Love this place and the Flex5 Team! joined the "Say I Do" series, or boot camp as it's called, in April 2016. I needed motivation to get in shape in a focused way. As I came to know Petro and the Flex5 Team, I was hooked. Each one of the fitness coaches are different but knowledgable, flexible, friendly and know how to push you without being obnoxious, like alot of 'trainers'. They allow you to alter any exercise to your level of fitness or comfort. There's no yelling and screaming to push yourself or do more sit ups. LOL. The space they have is newly renovated, stylish, practical and well equipped. The main advantages of this Flex5 is (1) flexibility (you can chose whatever classes or individual training sessions you want, (2) purchase one class, several or unlimited, combine classes and individual training, etc, (3) workout in a convenient uptown location, (4) take classes early am or after the typical work day. The coaches are accepting of everyone and make all feel comfortable no matter age, race, orientation, fitness level, etc. I have become a member of Flex5 and will continue my workouts beyond the series I am about to complete.
Fantastic experience: I joined Petro’s ‘Say I Do’ class this spring after seeing how much my partner was enjoying it. Admittedly, I’ve never been much of a super early morning person, so at first I was a little anxious that I would ever make it to the gym in time for the 6 am class. But with a little advance planning the night before, I’ve shown up for every single one so far! And I actually look forward to the workouts. My goals are to get more toned but mostly to fit in a healthy high quality workout into my crazy schedule – and to make up for all of the time I spend in an office environment. The class I took is 45 minutes long but sometimes it feels more like 10 minutes because you are moving around so much. Yes, they are intense…and fast paced, with very quick breaks between circuits. Petro keeps a close eye on everyone during the class and moves quickly from one participant to the next – correcting form (I seem to get corrected a lot ) – or suggesting a modification depending on the individual. It’s like having a personal trainer at a fraction of the price. At the end of the class, I have this Huge sense of accomplishment that I’ve kicked off my morning with an extraordinary workout and I’m ready to take on the day. On Saturdays, we do yoga with the fabulous Victoria – a nice change of pace from the weekday circuit training - but it is serious yoga – you will sweat! Overall, I’m so glad I met Petro and the Flex5 team. I’ve really gotten a lot out of this experience so far and looking forward to more!
Fantastic experience: I've been working out with Petro for about a year and a half, making the trek down to Uptown Charlotte from the Lake Norman-area two mornings a week. But Petro makes it worth the drive! He motivates me to push beyond my own limits. I've become a stronger person, physically and otherwise, with his help.
Fantastic experience: I can explain how much I love coming to flex 5. I feel so comfortable working out there and actually look forward to working out now. It's very personable and the facility is amazing. I have also never been crazy about yoga, but Victoria has made me fall in love with it! Her classes are small and I leave feeling refreshed and happy every time I leave, and Brian has helped tremendously with my strength (prepare to be sore). Really the whole team works together to help you achieve your goals and their interaction together makes for a fun place to work out where you actually feel a part of them team.
Fantastic experience: I've been training with Mitch and Victoria for only two weeks and I am ALREADY seeing and feeling the results. I would recommend both of them for personal training and Victoria for Yoga. I love how customizable their plans are and that they always have ME in mind when it comes to MY training. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. To top it all off, they are located in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility with private restrooms and showers. They will even do your grocery shopping for you!
Fantastic experience: The first thing I was impressed with was the location. Flex5 is located in a beautiful historic building right in the midst of uptown. However, you would never know once you enter the Flex5 facility, because they have the most up to date equipment. My first session was with Mitch and was great and developing a plan and working with me on exactly what I needed to achieve my goals. The Flex5 team really Looks for what's best for me and recommended teammates classes to diversify my workout so I won't get bored.
Fantastic experience: Brian is an absolutely awesome trainer. He has so much energy and knows how to challenge me. He doesn't do cookie cutter, one size fits all fitness plans. He really listens and uses his knowledge to help you achieve your goals. Brian is a great motivator and even though it's hard work, we have fun doing it. I've been going to Flex 5 about 6 months & have truly enjoyed the whole experience. #BeTheChange
Fantastic experience: I have been going to Flex5 and training with Brian for 6 months and it's been a great experience! He (and the whole staff) have been incredibly encouraging. Their whole outlook on fitness is not something I've encountered with other gyms. I look forward to the training sessions and although they are tough, I can feel the results - I'm definitely getting stronger every week. It's a great environment and Brian's methods have really pushed me to be better in my whole approach to health.
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a '5 star' trainer, look no further; Petro is your guy. I am currently working out with Petro in his boot camp class. It was amazing to me, that Petro took 'simple' movements and made them ASS-KICKING challenging exercises. There is an element of fun, which is always a plus. I have been impressed with other clients of Petro in regards to their drive, focus, and being proud of themselves; all of this is a reflection of my trainer, Petro; period. I plan to continue to work out with Petro until I reach my personal goal.
