The fitness centers on Fort Bragg provide recreation and fitness opportunities to Soldiers and Family Members on Fort Bragg and in the surrounding communities.
Active duty military personnel and their Families, Reservists and their Families, Delayed Entry/Delayed Training recruits, cadets of Armed Forces academies, Retirees and their Families, and DOD ID card holders and their Family members are authorized to use PFCs. Additional authorized patrons can be found in table 7-1 of AR 215-1 from September 24, 2010. Usage of PFCs is per AR 215-1 from September 24, 2010, Chapter 7, paragraphs 7-1 and 7-2. If MWR facilities cannot accommodate all authorized patrons, the garrison commander will determine specific use priorities. Such priorities are based on priorities establish in table 7–1.
Garrison commanders are responsible for making sure that only authorized patrons are allowed to use MWR programs. Proof of eligibility must be shown in order to access PFCs. The requirements for presenting proper identification are outlined in AR 215-1, Sept. 24, 2010, Chapter 7, paragraph 7-3.
The common access card, which is issued to active duty military personnel, Selected Reserve, DOD civilian employees (both APF and NAF), and other eligible personnel, will be used for identification purposes.
The AR 600-8-14 prescribes identification cards for retired military personnel, family members, Reserve personnel who are not in the Selected Reserve, and others who are not authorized to have a common access card.
If you are an exchange student or au pair, you will need to get a locally developed card or a limited duration letter of access from the commander or designee.
A card or letter specifically for access to MWR facilities can be used to identify individuals or groups who are allowed access per table 7–1, and who are not eligible for the identification cards mentioned earlier.
You can wear regular boots and shoes while using free weights, but not while using any equipment that your feet would touch, like ellipticals, treadmills, stair climbers, etc. Court-designed shoes or running shoes must be worn while using that type of equipment. You can't wear flip-flops or sandals while using any weights or exercise equipment.
Parents who use the Family and MWR Physical Fitness Centers (PFCs) are encouraged to use Loredo CDC, which is across the parking lot from Hercules Fitness Center.
In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, no large bags are allowed in any physical fitness center exercise areas, including weight rooms, basketball courts, and cardiovascular areas.
You are not allowed to wear plastic or rubber suits during training because it could lead to heat exhaustion. Masks that simulate high altitudes are also not allowed because they could potentially cause cardiac or pulmonary conditions, hemoglobin abnormalities, hypertension, or other health issues.
There are three specific radio stations that will be played; 88.3, 96.5, 98.1. Management will not take requests to play music that has been personally submitted.
The G9 integrates and delivers Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs and services to enable readiness and resilience for a globally-responsive Army.

Hercules Fitness Center: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Like the football field
Fantastic experience: Has pretty much everything you need.
Fantastic experience: Great overall gym
Fantastic experience: Very clean, and well maintained facility. One of the cleanest and largest gym on the installation. Great workout environment.
Fantastic experience: Favorite gym on Bragg, and the Staff is always pleasant.
Fantastic experience: It was a fun experience playing at the volleyball court. Hercules all the way!!
Fantastic experience: There are all Americans and alfa all Americans. Male and female warriors The best place for 100% vets to work out.
Fantastic experience: Layout is a little different than most, but it's remote location on post makes it less crowded and definitely one of the nicer gyms on Ft Bragg.
Positive experience: Good gym. Plenty free weights and machines. Large cardio room. Outdoor track, baseball field and tennis/racket ball court. Unfortunately no pool.
Fantastic experience: They got running track, tennis and baseball ground, and a big nice clean gym with large parking lot.
Fantastic experience: Not the best gym on base but the most well-rounded in my opinion. Least busy on the weekends in my experience
Fantastic experience: Great Court for basketball, well maintained.
Positive experience: This is a solid gym, but I’m really disappointed that the sauna (as well as the saunas at Ritz-Epps, Funk, Tucker, & every other Bragg gym) is closed, & has been for years. This wasn’t due to COVID either, as I remember it being closed for at least a year before lockdowns happened. Bring the saunas back! The people deserve it!
Fantastic experience: Layout is a little different than most, but it's remote location on post makes it less crowded and definitely one of the nicer gyms on Ft Bragg.
Fantastic experience: Great gym! Quiet.
Fantastic experience: Met with the Facility manager and she was very helpful in showing me around the facility.
Fantastic experience: They have just about everything you could possibly need keep yourself fit.
Fantastic experience: Positive: Quality The group fitness classes are grreat.
Fantastic experience: Great fitness facilities, inside and outside...!!!
Fantastic experience: It’s clean and the equipment is in good condition. Their track is well kept and they always have a big crowd.
Fantastic experience: This is the place for an all-body workout, minus cardio. Unfortunately, it's only open to Active Duty members. But if you are Active Duty, and you want to workout without a huge crowd unlike pre-COVID days, then you're in luck! The only catch is you must wear a mask while inside the gym. I think it's a small price to pay for a non-crowded gym. Limited hours and currently closed during the weekends. Great Staff!!!
Fantastic experience: Cannot decide between here and Iron Mikes. Both are good though.
Fantastic experience: Huge gym with ratchet ball courts and spin classes. They also have a shake bar, baseball fields and a outdoor track with lots of outdoor equipment to use as well.
Fantastic experience: Nice staff, lots to do here! Always clean.
Fantastic experience: Good place to workout. Looking forward to getting to the other side of covid so the masks can go away and have full access to all parts of the gym.
Fantastic experience: Great gym for the weekend - not very packed and very open with a variety of stuff to do
Fantastic experience: I love attending the fitness classes!! Kickboxing on Thursday is my favorite. I think it should be offered 3-4x a week!! Out of all the classes I've attended, this knee has the biggest turnout
Fantastic experience: Good gym but some days I come and they are not open. A little more Intel would be nice that's all.
Fantastic experience: Great and clean facilities. Outdoor section workouts and track as well as the indoor courts, gym, and pool.
Fantastic experience: Loved the racketball....great players
Fantastic experience: My Chaplin will own anyone . Great environment overall though.
Fantastic experience: The massage experience at Hercules is outstanding! Great ladies working in there that do an exceptional job!
Fantastic experience: I miss it. Convenient to hourly childcare.
Fantastic experience: Best gym on post. Has a track and field next to it with two adjoining baseball fields. Has racquet ball courts, spin classes, yoga, dedicated cardio room, smoothie/protein bar, basketball courts, massage area, showers, and a great free weight area. The only thing that's sucks and it does across post is that the sauna has been broken forever with no sign of ever being fixed. Maybe they can get it fixed before the next war.
Fantastic experience: Has everything you could want to get a good work out
Fantastic experience: Good free weight room.
Fantastic experience: One of the bigger gyms on base.
Fantastic experience: Awesome, and the best thing about this gym is the massage services.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, basketball court, cardiovascular rooms, and large weight area. This gym has the most features including a standard outside track, tennis ball, massage therapy, smoothie bar, and a baseball fields. My preferred go to for PT if given the option.
Fantastic experience: Best gym on post has everything you need gets packed though
Fantastic experience: Honestly a very good fitness center. The cardio room is definitely well ventilated and the weight room had the giant fans.
Fantastic experience: Full size gym with indoor courts, free and machine weights, juice bar, etc.
Fantastic experience: Not too busy before and after PT hours. Very clean.
Fantastic experience: One of the better Gyms on Ft. Bragg/ Pope AFB
Fantastic experience: Best gym at Bragg.
Fantastic experience: Love the field adjacent to the gym. Good sauna. The airfield is nearby, so you get to see different military planes and choppers.
Fantastic experience: Very clean gym and "work-out" type atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: Has one of the only working saunas on post.
Fantastic experience: Nice turf field and indoor equipment setup works
