Fantastic experience: I've been bringing my son David for several months now and he is really enjoying it. He has fun learning JKD with the other kids and the instructors are all very patient and knowledgeable. I've even done a few of the Muay Thai classes myself. Great staff here! The best part is that since I live in Torrance so IMB is not only close, it's on my way too and from home.

Fantastic experience: The International Martial Arts and Boxing Academy is an excellent school located in the South Bay for learning and practicing Boxing, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts and the Filipino Martial Arts/Eskrima/Arnis.The Chief Instructor Richard Bustillo has an extensive background and mastery of many of the disciplines taught and practiced (Original Student of Bruce Lee,Golden Gloves and USA Boxing Certified Instructor, Kru in Muay Thai, 10th Degree Black Belt in Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima, to name a few). Sigung Richard Bustillo and his instructors have years of experience teaching an eclectic martial curriculum to children and adults alike, using a practical and simple approach to self defense. There are many schools in the South Bay that offer Boxing, Muay Thai, Grappling, and Filipino Martial Arts, but what makes IMB unique is the pragmatic approach in learning and practicing each discipline using Jeet Kune Do principles influenced from Bruce Lee. There few places you'd find in Southern California that combine a traditional and modern approach to practicing martial arts, and whether you're looking for learning martial arts for self defense and fitness, or looking to compete, you'll find exactly what you're looking for.

Fantastic experience: I've been training at IMB for a while, and I love it here. It's definitely a great place to train if you're looking to learn Martial Arts. No matter what skill level you're at, you will definitely learn something new. If there's one thing I learned about training here, it's that there's always something new to learn. Whether it be Martial Arts, or life, there will be knowledge to gain. Sigung Richard as well as the staff, are full of knowledge and experience. It would be smart to take advantage of that. The wealth of knowledge that everyone has here is great.The staff and students here are also very friendly. We treat each other with kindness and respect, the way we would treat our own family. The staff here is very helpful and make sure that we have a good learning environment. They make sure that everyone can safely practice the techniques we are learning, which includes the practical application of said technique. We do spar here at IMB, but we don't fight one another. No one is throwing hay-makers or Jerry Springer punches, no one is trying to knock the other one out. Sparring is used as a learning experience. Our school is eclectic, and there's many different arts you can learn which include MMA, and Eskrima. With everything said and the fact that you read all of this, you must be very interested, and you should definitely come by and learn what IMB has to offer! (First class is free!)

Fantastic experience: I've been training boxing, muay thai, and mixed martial arts (MMA) for about two years at the academy and I absolutely love it here! There is a great family atmosphere and everybody is friendly. There are no egos here and everyone is ready to learn and train with open minds. Sigung Richard Bustillo is great and full of knowledge and wisdom and there are some excellent coaches who take the time to make sure no one gets hurt and learns the techniques and gives extra explanation if needed. Definitely a great place to train and learn martial arts.

Fantastic experience: I originally came here to sign my son up for the kid's martial arts classes but after watching some of the adult classes I decided to join the boxing class. My son and I both love this place and I've started doing the muay thai class as well.

Fantastic experience: Do not procrastinate was the advise Richard Bustillo told me while training in KY seminar in October 2016. He than told me that when a student is ready the teacher/instructor will be present. I believe this a calling. I been searching for a training ground for the past 6 years, bouncing around studying different types/styles of martial arts. I never felt the feeling of family until that day. I will be in route to continue training soon.
