Carbondale Recreation and Community Center

Fantastic experience: Seen that shower’s are available for non members or a day pass for $7.00. Very clean, very kind staff, not extremely busy, and shower was amazing after being on the road for a few days. Someone complained about $7.00 jsyk it’s $15.00 at truck stops. So highly recommended. Thank you for being affordable, clean, kind, and open.

Positive experience: we are traveling in a van and was thankful they had clean, hot showers available with no real time limit (nice to take a 15 min shower as opposed to 4 minute showers)! $7 seemed pricy, but they were the only public showers within a big stretch. was able to fill our water bottles up in an automatic water fountain right outside the showers.

Fantastic experience: We are here for the month of August and I joined the Center for 30 days, which is fab! I have been impressed with the classes and the staff. Such a nice way to get to know the community on a different level and stay in some kind of shape while on vacation.

Positive experience: This recreation center is quite nice, have good basketball/volleyball course and multi indoor sports in same arena, gym inside but the restroom is awful which located inside locker room on both lady & gentleman locker rooms

Positive experience: Awesome community space to keep active. Great bouldering wall. Small though, so not a lot of space or available facilities like a pool or basketball court in the winter.

Positive experience: Great place friendly staff machines and free weights pool and basketball court they cost me $7 dollars to get a workout and the shower.
