CrossFit SideYard is a gym located in Middleton that offers group classes to help you improve your fitness and live a healthier life.

Our goal is to make everyone who joins our community feel welcome and to help them build confidence in their bodies. We're a community that works together to achieve our goals.

Our friendly, world-class trainers will help you with your workouts, coach you, and guide you through challenging (but really fun) workouts in the Middleton area. We will provide the perfect combination of coaching and accountability, allowing you to focus on what matters most.

This 30 minute class focuses on bodyweight, functional movement exploration, play, listening, motor skill development, and basic nutrition concepts.

Our kids program focuses on pairing fitness with fun, and covers proper functional movement and continuation of motor skill development (balance, agility, coordination, accuracy, speed, etc.), vestibular development and kinesthetic awareness that will set kids up to be successful in life and/or sports. Classes are 45 minutes to 1 hour long.

Continues on the development of functional fitness, injury prevention, fine tuning athletic skills, and creating a love for fitness beyond just play! We want confidence to be built and passion to pursue virtuosity in movement and life to be built.

This class is a combination of movements from different types of exercise, such as gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing, and more. It is an hour long and will make you sweat. This is a semi-personal training class that is still fun and encouraging because it is in a group setting.

If you want to improve your eating habits, stop dieting and restricting yourself. Focus on developing healthy habits with a personalized plan. At SideYard Training CrossFit, our nutrition program is designed to create real change. We provide education and world-class coaching to help you reach your goals.

After you understand the basics, you can book classes and enjoy workouts with great people on our app. You will achieve your goals quickly!

I started going to CrossFit classes at SideYard three years ago because I wanted to find an activity to replace my running habit during the cold, Idaho winter months. I thought it would just be a temporary stand-in to keep me in shape through winter, but CrossFit has become one of the best parts of my (almost) daily routine. I love the encouraging community, challenging workouts, and quality coaching of CrossFit. I value being able to show up each morning at the gym to an expertly programmed workout and a knowledgeable coach who is present and ready to give instruction and motivation.

Since I started CrossFit, I've become a CrossFit L-1 and CrossFit Kids trainer. I love helping athletes of all ages progress in their skills and meet their individual goals. It's important to me that everyone feels welcomed and accepted, as well as challenged and successful, when they leave class, regardless of their skill level or background. I'm a mom of two amazing kids and a student in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at the College of Western Idaho. CrossFit has replaced my running addiction.

My name is Amanda Smith, and I'm a CF-L1 coach at SideYard Crossfit. I'm also a certified surgical first assistant. I got into CrossFit after a friend begged me to try it, and after many failed attempts, I finally showed up. I won't lie, I couldn't even finish the workout that day. I was so sore afterwards that I wasn't looking forward to going back. The only reason I did was because I didn't want them to think I was a quitter. At the time, I was completely unaware of the profound impact it would have on my life. I have seen such a positive change in not only my physical strength, but my mindset as well. CrossFit has taught me that I can do hard things and that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Whenever I start to doubt myself, I have a pretty awesome group of people supporting and cheering me on.

What I love most about coaching is helping people grow and accomplish things that they thought were impossible. I love when someone gets their first pull up or first box jump and just being able to see how excited they are and know I was able to be apart of that. It’s a very rewarding feeling seeing people accomplish their goals!In my spare time I love spending time with my menagerie of pets, anything outdoors, barrel racing, audiobooks, and food!

Hi, my name is Rachel Franks, and I'm addicted to CrossFit. I was never an amazing athlete or very competitive growing up. I just played high school basketball and volleyball and didn't do anything consistently until after I had kids. Which surprised me when I finally discovered and fell in love with CrossFit. I wish CrossFit had been around when I was in high school! I've been doing CrossFit for six years now, three of those years (plus 50 lbs shed forever!) here at SideYard. This addiction has become my passion, and I hope to pass it on to everyone who comes through our doors. I'm on this journey with you, and I'm so thankful for this community and the support system we have here!

Ashley is a freshman in college and a CrossFit Level 1 certified trainer. She is also a multi-sport athlete and will be one of the coaches for SideYard Training Kids!

My name is Ashley Campbell and I am 19 years old. I have always been an active person and I have been involved in sports since I could walk. The two sports that I am currently involved in are basketball and track. These sports have taught me many things and have grown me into the person that I am today. I am excited to coach kids so that they will love to be active and healthy! I also want to help them become strong individuals not just physically but mentally as well!

Sylvia is a freshman college student who is also a CrossFit Level 1 certified trainer. She will be one of the coaches for SideYard Training Kids!

Hi, my name is Sylvia Conley. I am 18 years old and have been involved in sports since I can remember. Being active and involved in sports is what made me the person I am today. This is why I am so excited to be able to coach and train kids. I hope to have the same impact on them as my coaches throughout the years have had on me.

I discovered CrossFit six years ago when a friend brought me to a gym at the perfect time in my life. I loved being athletic and danced, ran track, and raced cross country all through high school. As those things were coming to an end, CrossFit established itself as a necessity to my physical and mental well-being. The last few years have taught me so much! In March 2019, I became a certified CrossFit Level-1 trainer. I then had to learn to exercise through a serious injury and pregnancy. I am now learning to be a CrossFit mom while also being an athlete and coach. My husband and I live in Wilder with our baby girl and two dogs.

I am passionate about helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. I believe that everyone has the potential to reach their goals, and it is my job to help them get there. Whether it is creating a workout plan or simply providing motivation, I am here to help!

Since 2013, she has coached athletes of all levels, from those who have never seen the inside of a gym to those who are well beyond their AARP membership.

I love working with people who are passionate about learning, getting stronger, and improving their health. My goal is to create an environment that is stimulating and motivating, so that you'll want to keep learning and growing. I'm looking forward to meeting you in person or online.

Fantastic experience: I joined SideYard CrossFit with some hesitation. I wasn’t sure if I was fit enough, strong enough, or young enough to fit in. Starting from my very first visit, everybody there, both coaches and clients alike, have been supportive, welcoming, and very, very friendly. The trainers truly care about each person, take their time to explain every movement, progression, and modification. i’ve been there a month now, and I feel like I’m starting to get stronger, feel more confident, and make progress. I would recommend side yard CrossFit to anybody, of any age or fitness ability. It’s a great work out and a great community.

Fantastic experience: SideYard Training is the best CrossFit Box in the Treasure Valley. They have great equipment and resources to help you reach your goals at all different levels. The coaching staff is unmatched, some of the best coaching I’ve seen, and they have the tools and certifications to teach all different movements at many different levels. The environment at SideYard Training is truly AMAZING. You will always walk in and be greeted with a smile. The people you get to train with everyday and surround yourself with are awesome people and will help push you towards your goals, and be in your corner at all times. Fantastic experience: SideYard is a place for all!! It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting your fitness journey or a stud like the coaches who work there. Truthfully, this isn’t your normal CrossFit gym, Sharene and her staff work hard to find accommodations to fit everyone as to help prevent injury and increase strength and endurance. There are all kinds of walks of life in this gym, it’s a safe place to be vulnerable. The people who workout here celebrate EVERYONES successes big or small!

Fantastic experience: This place is actually the best! I was super hesitant to join CrossFit at first because I had never even been to a gym and wasn’t sure I would be able to do it but the coaches and everyone there are soooo friendly and make sure that you’re comfortable and are a great support! They super flexible and make sure that you know what you’re doing so you’re safe (that might be the best part) and adjust the workouts to fit your ability and comfort level but at the same time they’ll push you so you can progress. And they make it fun! I’d give them 10/10 if I could:)

Fantastic experience: I have been attending classes for about 7 weeks now. It has been a great experience so far. The coaches are very supportive and provide many options to meet your skill set. There is also great camaraderie amounts the members in the class. Everyone is there to support everyone else. I did not expect that but it has been very up lifting. Give it a try. You’ll love it.

Fantastic experience: I love going to CrossFit at SideYard Crossfit. It’s more than a place to work muscles you never knew you had... it’s family atmosphere. Everyone is supportive and encouraging. I’ve seen great results in just the six weeks I’ve been going! My 8yr old also does the kids class and he really enjoys it. He does wrestling club here in Middleton and we’ve seen a huge improvement in his overall performance at wrestling tournaments since signing him up for CrossFit. Don’t think it over... just sign up!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been members of Sideyard for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier. The gym is always clean, the coaches are knowledgeable and so helpful. The classes are fun and the relationships we’ve built help us stay accountable. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 7 years and I can say that I’ve never had the amount of structure that is built in to the programming. There are modifications for everyone when needed but there is coaching to improve your abilities and if they know you can safely do something they hold you accountable, which I love. Very thankful for this community of people and I highly recommend giving this amazing place a try.

Fantastic experience: I was a member of Sideyard training for about 8 months. The atmosphere was awesome and I learned so much and got stronger so quickly. I then find out I was moving and the place I was moving to did not have a CrossFit gym. I contacted Sideyard and they were more than willing to help. I was able to continue my workouts through their Wodify app. It was convenient and they were always an email, a text, or a phone call away off I needed anything. If you are looking for something different but don’t have anything offered in your area…. I would highly recommend contacting Sideyard!!!!

Fantastic experience: This is my first CrossFit experience and it has been awesome! The coaches are motivating and so good at what they do. I feel challenged each time I go and feel so much support from the coaches to be able to accomplish whatever the workout goals are. I love the variety of workouts offered. The facility is always kept clean with a great atmosphere and really friendly people. It’s always a great way to start off my day!

Fantastic experience: I walked into this gym a couple months ago scared out of mind because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. However, that quickly changed as I was welcomed with open arms and smiles and helped every step of the way. The staff are so friendly, the owner is incredible, and most importantly I feel more confident, strong, and healthy. I highly recommend Sideyard Training and encourage everyone to JUST TRY IT!

Fantastic experience: Wow! AMAZING WORKOUTS! Sharene is superwoman with skills! She runs a tight program with amazing variety and targets every single muscle in your body...even ones you didn't know you had :o . Her staff is awesome and every single one of them care about your safety and success. The workout is tough and is adjusted to every skill level on the spot, the challenges are legit and the support is unlike any gym I have ever seen. Sharene and her staff are AMAZING! If you want to get in shape, stay that way and improve mentally & physically, Sideyard cannot be beat!

Fantastic experience: Coach Sharene is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell training is her passion. Coach Sharene makes sure form is number one. She truly cares about every individual that walks into the door. She is there and cares! My life has changed because of SideYard Training. It’s not just a workout but now it’s a lifestyle.
