Fantastic experience: An actual gym to lift and go hard. The ambiance and aesthetics are great. IRON PLATES combined with an actual gym music playlist is an instant sell for me. In addition, it being genuinely 24/7 is a huge plus. Sign up ASAP if you lift seriously.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Only one deadlift platform and two squat racks but it was a great gym and great vibe.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym and I’m sad that I am moving. Their 24/7 access helps me ensure my training gets done. I suffered a back injury a while back and had to modify my squatting and deadlifting. They are the ONLY gym in the area that has a belt squat machine and multiple hex bars allowing me to properly and effectively train. The management handled my membership properly when I received military orders.

Fantastic experience: These guys do a nice job keeping the gym up and are great to outside vendors. For the most part this is a good serious crowd unlike many of the chain gyms.

Fantastic experience: Diesel Fitness is the only privately owned, HARDCORE training facility of it's kind in Central New Jersey. Tons (literally), of the best professional weight training equipment available anywhere. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming (to all who enter, regardless of fitness level or goals). I would highly recommend Diesel Fitness to anyone interested in improving their level of fitness.

Positive experience: It's a gym, it's a warehouse full of people who wanna lift big, and get mad gains, everyone is nice. Staff is tolerable. Got a shirt, didnt have my card, didnt need it *update* I cancelled my membership in person one of the staff didn't complete it so I had to pay them an additional two months, way after the pandemic closed the place temporarily. The owner is fine, he's entitled and I don't care for him. The gym is tolerable. You'd be better off going to planet fitness you don't really get much for your membership so as far as value I've seen way better prices for way better places.

Negative experience: I visited Diesel Gym in early November to get a consultation regarding a membership. Upon entering what I witnessed was an entirely enclosed gym without any ventilation from the outside. There was also no encouragement to wear a mask (nor was it required) with over half the members not wearing one in the midst of a global pandemic. Immediately left. Visit at your own risk

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Chicago, needed a solid place to lift, and this place was great. Very low $5 day pass, place is clean, equipment is in great condition, great space with the garage doors that open out. Everything you need for powerlifting and bodybuilding, was able to get a good bench press and chest accessory lift in. Not far from Rutgers, which was nice since I haven’t been back since I graduated in 2001.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym, wouldnt go anywhere else. A lot of gyms, like Planet Fitness across the street preach no judgment and are over feminzed, but this gym you really get what you pay for. The crowd here is focused on one thing, bettering themselves, not tearing down others for the sake of an ego. The people including the staff are always friendly and the gym is clean. The area here is small but dont let that fool you, it has all the machines and equipment you need and none you dont. Even open 24 hrs on weekdays.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, no nonsense gym with a focus is on powerlifting and strongman (not a bumper plate in sight). They seem to have all the powerlifting equipment you might need for training: an assortment of bars, power racks, monolift, chains, etc. Though strangely no deadlift platform. People are super nice, I was there on a Monday morning and it was definitely guy dominated. Price for a day was incredibly affordable and well worth it. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: No nonsense gym for a decent price. Equipment is pretty old and cardio section seems like an afterthought, but there is a culture of success that is definitely contagious. The staff is very friendly and will always be willing to help you out, especially if you're looking for a spot.

Positive experience: Like other reviewers have said, a solid old school style, no nonsense gym. One-day pass for $10, but I paid $5 for a visit during the holiday weekend. Some caveats: The only row machine wasn't working and some areas could be rearranged to be less crowded. They don't have bumper plates, so beginner powerlifters might want to go elsewhere to work on deadlifts. It's a smaller gym but I went early in the morning so I didn't have to wait for anything. Not sure how it is later in the afternoon or evening. The staff was very nice and I would visit again.

Fantastic experience: A great gym for anyone who wants to get big and strong. They let you use chalk, "slam" weights, and get loud, unlike many gyms in the area. Price is decent at $30 a month. It's also kept nice and clean.
