Snap Fitness Medina

Fantastic experience: I grew up in the Medina area, but now live in Virginia. I come back to Medina a couple times a year to see my family. My family regularly works out and Snap Fitness is our go to gym in Medina when we visit. It is very clean, the equipment is good, the clientele is friendly and the owners are great. Much nicer than Planet Fitness. Highly recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: This gym is hands down the best of many that I have been a part of. Owners / staff are fantastic, gym has everything you need, always clean, locker room area is spacious with showers. I forgot to mention that the members are very friendly! Hands down the best gym in the area.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love it here! Owners Kim and Brian have made several improvements and upgraded equipment from previous ownership! Bathrooms are always clean! Just signed up for their new Womens Self Defense course and cannot wait!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! The staff is always friendly and takes good care of the place. They have a wide variety of weights and equipment such as a deadlift platform, multiple squat racks and benches, and a full size hack squat. Oh… and I love the music!

Negative experience: Snap Fitness Medina – AVOID AT ALL COSTS This gym has been a complete disappointment. After four years as a member, I’ve had enough of their lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability and poorly maintained environment. 1. Deceptive Membership Practices: I was misled to believe my membership included access to other Snap Fitness locations. It took years to uncover this wasn’t true—an issue many members have faced. 2. No Accountability: Management refuses to resolve issues, offering only costly “solutions” for problems they created. Other locations offer better memberships at the same rate. 3. Unprofessional Conduct: The management is dismissive, rude, and even threatened legal action when I voiced concerns. 4. Franchise Violations: From poorly maintained equipment, to unfair pricing, this gym ignores Snap Fitness standards. The machines are filthy as they are covered in dust. They are very dated machines so they are always having maintenance issues. There is always missing hand towels & soap in the restroom. 5. Obstructive Cancellation Process: Canceling my membership was made unnecessarily difficult, with management citing policies they themselves violate. This gym’s mismanagement and disrespect for its members are unacceptable. Avoid Snap Fitness Medina—there are far better options elsewhere.

Negative experience: Snap Fitness Medina - A Complete Disappointment After being loyal members of Snap Fitness Medina for over four years, I can confidently say this is one of the most poorly run fitness centers I have ever encountered. My recent experience has been nothing short of frustrating and deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to warn others about the serious issues with this location. 1. Lack of Transparency and Miscommunication: When signing up, I was under the impression that my membership included reciprocal access to other Snap Fitness locations. I discovered only recently, after years of membership, that this was not the case. Worse yet, this is not an isolated incident. I’ve learned that several other members had similar complaints and were equally misled by the unclear communication during the signup process. 2. Unwillingness to Resolve Issues: Instead of owning up to their mistake, the management at Snap Fitness Medina has shown a complete lack of accountability. When I attempted to resolve this issue, they offered a “solution” that would require me to pay more for the membership I thought I already had. Meanwhile, other locations like Mansfield and Ashland offer the exact membership I thought I was paying for, at the same rate I was already paying in Medina! 3. Rude and Unprofessional Management: When I raised my concerns, the management’s response was dismissive, rude, and even threatening. They attempted to dissuade me from leaving honest reviews by threatening legal action for “libel.” This unprofessional attitude only solidified my belief that this location does not care about its members. 4. Violation of Franchise Standards: After thoroughly reviewing Snap Fitness’s franchise agreement, it’s clear that this location has several infractions. From the subpar condition of the facility and equipment to their discriminatory pricing practices and poor customer service, this location does not live up to the standards set by Snap Fitness corporate. 5. Failure to Address Concerns Promptly: Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter amicably, including giving them the chance to refund the last month’s membership fee as a gesture of goodwill, they refused to take any meaningful action. Instead, they claimed corporate had no authority over them, a blatant dismissal of their obligations as a franchisee. 6. Unreasonable Cancellation Process: Even when I requested to cancel my membership due to their lack of resolution, they created unnecessary hurdles. They required me to fill out forms and cited policies they themselves had violated. If you value transparency, professionalism, and a well-maintained facility, do not sign up with Snap Fitness Medina. Their lack of accountability, poor communication, and disrespect for loyal members are unacceptable. I will also be escalating my concerns to Snap Fitness corporate to ensure that other potential members are not subjected to this kind of treatment. This location’s poor management and dismissive attitude have made what should have been a positive fitness experience an absolute nightmare. My advice? Go to any other Snap Fitness location, or better yet, find a different gym altogether. Look at all the one star reviews and negative reviews. They're all a complete replica of the complaints. Hence this location is definitely operating unethical.

Negative experience: Equipment is old. Their showers and bathrooms are terrible to put it lightly. I was a loyal member here for 2 years and then after a better cleaner, nicer, more modern gym comes to town, I canceled by phone but BEWARE YOU MUST CANCEL IN PERSON! Though my card expired I unknowingly continued to be charged for months even after canceling by phone. No loyalty even after 2 years of membership. Terrible service. Management is rude and lashes out when you try to talk to them. STAY AWAY

Fantastic experience: Outstanding gym! They great equipment, it’s clean, have a good crowd, and super nice staff (including veterans). I’ve been going here consistently for a year and have absolutely 0 complaints. I could not recommend them enough!

Negative experience: Equipments rusty, old, and wobbly environment is alright. Only upside is that its cheap day pass.

Since lifting here I have had my business partner and family members join and they have also had an overall great experience. Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a personal trainer and a great gym, Snap Fitness in Medina is the location and Chris Melillo is the guy. I’m on week 9 with Chris and I’m looking and feeling better than ever, loosing inches and gaining muscle. The staff is super friendly. Best 24 hour gym around.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with quite a few different gyms throughout my life and hands down, this is the best. This is my gym <3 the owners are so down to earth and sweet, and the staff is friendly and welcoming and super helpful! Just renewed my year contract, because I know where I’ll be the next year. But I also love that you can do the monthly or just a month. So super flexible for my once much crazier life haha! I love it here, clean and well put together. No need to go anywhere else!!! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for a month now and haven't had an issue getting a bench or rack which is nice.. Plenty of weights available, and good machines. Pricing isn't horrible either.

Negative experience: It says it's 35 dollars a month. But, when you go to sign up your first payment is over 160 dollars? Seems to be some pretty deceptive marketing IMO.

Fantastic experience: I have been working out at Snap for over 2 years now, and I love it. I have never had a complaint about the facility, especially under the recent new ownership. Clean facility with good people, and great owners. Would recommend Snap to anyone looming for a gym in the area.

Negative experience: Went to this gym for 2-3 months, loved the machines , environment, key card access on off hours. And here comes the sarcasm.... I also love the fact of if you ever call the phone here even during hours you get ZERO response.. I tried to reach out 12... yes 12. Times. Within a 4 hr span during the middle of the day concerning a misc charge added to my card. And on that note my third favorite thing about this gym is the charges they throw in to cancel. Almost makes you not want to cancel once you realize you’re being charged over $100 to leave. Will not be returning and will warn any others in the future.

Negative experience: Required 30 days of notice to cancel my membership. If you read the fine print of your contract this is left open ended and 30 days is not specified, it also says that you must send a letter of notice of cancelation. Basically there are a lot of ridiculous terms in the contract to make it hard to cancel so they can continuing billing you. I went in twice to try to cancel, the first time I was told the owner wasn't their and the second time they took down my name and said they would let the owner know I was canceling. Never received any confirmation of my cancellation after that and then continued to be billed.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Everyone is always friendly. Front desk is awesome. And people clean up after themselves! Welcoming environment. Had a membership under old management at the old location and it was just an uncomfortable atmosphere. Love everything about this place now, so glad I got my membership!! Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Today I sought out the highest rated gym in Medina and was not disappointed. Incredibly clean facilities and friendly staff greeted me at Snap Fitness. Serge was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to get me situated for a super cheap day pass that I made good use of. I loved this place and got a great workout in. I don’t live here, but I come down pretty frequently and I’ve found my new home away from home gym. Thanks Snap!

Fantastic experience: Clean, well maintained, friendly staff, multiple squat racks, actual deadlift platform, they provide chalk for use, main gym is kept a little warmer easy to get a great sweat going but there's an cooler area adjacent to it, wide variety of equipment. Will definitely sign up here once my rec membership is up.
