Golden Isles Gymnastics

Negative experience: Both of my children were members of this gym for years, my daughter on their competition team. I would not recommend this gym to anyone interested in competing due to several reasons: •coach shows favoritism •our daughter was so obviously being held back •gym does not have a regulation vault •some girls on the team were downright hateful & coach did nothing about it •our daughter was injured during practice and was out for several weeks. Coach did not once contact us to check on her. Any communication was initiated by me and she didn’t even ask (or seem to care) about my daughter. Our daughter is extremely talented and it seemed like the girls were jealous of her instead of being encouraging. They were mean to her and coach either didn’t know (which is an issue) or she didn’t care (which is also an issue). The so called team did not cheer each other on like a team should do. So many disappointments with this place and we paid them ALOT of money to be treated unfairly. The only person that deserves positive recognition is Misty whom works the desk and does everything! She’s hardworking, knowledgeable, caring, smart, trustworthy and the girls love her and she loves them. We will miss her and only her.

Fantastic experience: An excellent opportunity for youngsters in our town. From competitive classes to summer camps and free parent Friday evenings… a place we happily often use.

Fantastic experience: We have absolutely loved our experience at this gym. My daughter's gymnastics teacher is so kind and good with little girls. She doesn't take any nonsense, but at the same time isn't too harsh, and makes sure that the girls are having a good time! We are so happy here and my daughter has learned so much!

Negative experience: dirty atmosphere, outdated, unprofessional, incompetent and rude staff this place has no business watching children…. that is if they actually watch your children… which they likely aren’t. I am disgusted at what I witnessed picking up my granddaughter today and will not ever bring her back. do not send your kids here and definitely do not trust golden isles gymnastics with them

Positive experience: Super fun! We were invited to a birthday party and it was lots of fun for the kids. Plenty of foam pits, a rope swing, vaulting jumps, bounce houses and the like. There was a separate party room upstairs. My only con would be there were no places for the parents to sit down in the playing area. All in all we had tons of fun and would definitely recommend this place for a party or just to take your kids once in a while.

Fantastic experience: I've brought my daughter here almost every Saturday for the past two months. The staff is polite and my daughter has a blast, thank you!

Fantastic experience: Golden Isles Gymnastics does a phenomenal job providing play and learning opportunities for children with Mom’s Club, gymnastics classes, and open play. The staff are always so polite and courteous. I highly recommend Golden Isles Gymnastics.

Positive experience: Great place for adults to relax, and children run and play without worrying about losing sight of them. My beautiful Grandchildren had an awesome day celebrating my handsome Grandson's birthday running, rumbling, swinging and letting loose!

Fantastic experience: My daughter loves open gym! Every Saturday from 10-12 she has free range to play on the equipment, and they have bounce houses inflated for the Littles. For $12 she can have a blast and make new friends for 2 straight hours of fun time.

Negative experience: I have NEVER given any type of review on a business... and to be fair my daughter & I gave this establishment over 8 months to impress us. Not only has her class gone through 5 different coaches since the beginning of the year, but no one remembers mine or my child’s name. She has been in the beginners/toddler class this entire time & I understand if my child isn’t cut out for the gymnastics but don’t appreciate the lack of communication. Also just an FYI... If you took your child to their summer camp program they were probably left unsupervised the whole entire day & I witnessed not once but TWICE the owner walking the gym trying to locate a child for pick up and had no clue where said child was or even WHO they were by name. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: My family and I just moved to Brunswick from NJ about three months ago. Our daughter is very very shy. We signed her up for Golden Isles Gymnastics. The owners Galina and Yuri have been absolutely exceptional. The coaches and staff are truly amazing and do their absolute best to teach and entertain. If my wife and I could give this establishment 100 stars we would. They have not only noticed her social anxiety, they have went above and beyond to make her feel like family. Our daughter loves this place so much she doesn’t want to come home. Galina and Yuri the Buffa family appreciates your hard work and dedication more then you could imagine.

Negative experience: I hope your child shows up and is as good as Simone Biles. The instructor does not know how to teach but she’s good at telling and discipline. Please observe the instruction (or lack of) before you leave your child!!!

Fantastic experience: Kids had a great time! Mission accomplished!!!

Negative experience: This place used to be fun, but my boys have been very disappointed the last 3-4 times we’ve been. Today, my older son didn’t even want to go. When my younger son and I got there, the place smelled disgusting, like heavy mildew covered up by cheap disinfectant. The foam blocks and mats are all falling apart. The one thing my son wanted to do was climb the rock wall. He asked at the beginning of open gym and was told to ask again at the end. When he did, he was told there was no more time. Really?!? As a mother, I don’t appreciate my son being treated this way. He left disappointed and angry and we will not be going back.

Fantastic experience: Owners and staff are very dedicated to teaching gymnastics and the facility is fantastic! Classes, birthday parties, and summer camp are all highly recommended.
