Fantastic experience: Best gym in town with lots of amenities! Staff is super friendly and they stay on top of maintenance so everything works as expected

Negative experience: This place is a joke. No A/C, it’s like working out in a sauna. The roof leaks from everywhere, half the machines are broken, and the ones that do work sound like they’re about to fall apart. There’s one sad excuse for a water fountain that doesn’t even work. The walls look filthy and haven’t seen a fresh coat of paint in years. They could at least replace that useless water fountain with one of those modern refill stations like every decent gym has these days. I’ve been working out here for the last nine months and really gave it a try and it’s just not worth it. You are better off going to planet fitness. This gym is ugly and outdated.

Negative experience: Gym old and getting outdated. Need to repaint the whole place. Also the a/c has been out for like 5 months now. Multiple leaks from the ceiling. Could be a nice gym but sadly they are letting it go to waste. Staff is cool tho. Shout out Zeke and Charlie they the reason Im still paying this place money

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Baileys for over 15 years I enjoy the endless amounts of equipment and space for pretty much any workout you can imagine. The possibilities are endless and I’ve never gotten bored.

Positive experience: Good Gym, but the AC is broken in the weight room and they won’t get a better water fountain. Tastes like metal. I spend 40 bucks a month for this?? I’m about to go to planet fitness and give them my money.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym! The environment is energizing, and there are so many machines to choose from—you’ll never wait for equipment. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the entire space is spotless. Clean, welcoming, and fully equipped—this place checks all the boxes!

Negative experience: Friendly staff with good equipment but since my last review but this place has really fallen off. Weight lifting area is a sweat box . Two ladies running the place mid day seems unfair to them and having to clean the men's shower /bathroom area at lunch time is just wrong. I'm glad I have dumbbells and a treadmill in my garage that has an ac unit. It's sad to see this because when I moved here it was good for me but not now.

Negative experience: I wrote a review four weeks ago, on another platform, in hopes that at least a few things would or could be done, about the temperature and cleanliness issue. At the very least, I thought perhaps, the gym would purchase some industrial fans to help with circulation, while the AC has been out. The last review I left, someone did respond and say they would get with management, which I know does take time. I felt that four weeks was an appropriate time to follow up. Today, I called and asked when the AC would be fixed. Again, I was told "we have no idea, we are not on the priority list for Chuze at this time." I asked about getting fans, she stated they "did not have the resources." Which is pretty perplexing as you have to be the number one or two busiest gym in Glynn County. I asked if she would tell me when the Supervisor was on duty, so I could speak to them, she said it is their policy not to let members know who the supervisor is or when they are working. I asked if I could just suspend my membership, not cancel but suspend it until the AC was fixed. She said they could freeze it for three months, but I would still get billed partial payments and there is no ETA on the AC unit getting fixed. It is just extremely disappointing with the amount of money that is brought in, and the money you are clearly saving by not running the AC on half of the gym , that purchasing fans is seen as a major capital expense. I can assure you, buying a few of these fan's won't break your P& L.

Positive experience: AGM- mean and condescending. Can't use child care on 7 day free child. How am I going to try out the membership and classes when my husband is at work? Guy working front desk was super knowledgeable and nice. Helped her out and knew more than the AGM

Positive experience: I have been a long time member of this facility minus a short term hiatus due to an illness. Never have I seen issues like I’m seeing in this gym presently. This gym has some decent equipment but some serious Corporate issues! The air conditioning in the larger fitness room has been torn up for months. It’s extremely hot and most members are frustrated working out in the heat, and high humidity of the gym. There is an odor in the gym because of the heat and lack of circulation of quality air! It’s a sweat box. The manager said it will get fixed when a crane can be brought in to take the large units from the roof and replace them. Most of us know that the AC company supplies the equipment to set the unit on top so we believe we are getting a runaround . Every single day someone brings up the frustration with the temperature and odor of the gym. Telling the front desk manager has proven to be a waste of time. All of the gyms in Jacksonville are going through some nice renovations and upgrades, while one of Chuze’s biggest membership gyms can’t get an air conditioning fixed. The hot gym is a feasting ground for spreading virus’s and other illnesses among the members, especially for the low immune compromised clients and elderly. This gym doesn’t care about their members or this problem would have already been resolved. I would also suggest corporate visit the gym for unannounced visits instead of announced visits!

Negative experience: The PROs - have all the equipment you need and multiples of each. The CONS - Dirtiest gym ive ever been to, from 3am-5am its filled with homeless people taking 2 hour showers and leaving trash everywhere.

Fantastic experience: I love working out here and I'm glad you fixed parking lot lights I thought was unsafe many ladies were walking to car in pitch darkness, I like your equipment and free weights I've increased my weights since joining it's getting results... planet fitness I canceled my membership after 16 years, but I'm very satisfied with bailey's the day I joined I don't remember her name but she was so awesome she did it all in less that 10 minutes.. I joined for a year, but I should be coming for many many years...I should have joined years ago...take care now thanks

Negative experience: $20 late fee WITH NO GRACE PERIOD, for all no contract. No thanks.

Negative experience: It’s got a lot of nice equipment, but it’s also very dirty sometimes. I travel for work so I typically go to the best gym in the area I’m in, and I was only here for a month. People leave their water bottles, jackets, trash, sweat rags, just laying around and they leave them. I literally watched a guy eat candy and throw his wrappers under the equipment. I have seen the gym employees cleaning so I know they try to keep it clean. Alot of times weights are seen lying all over and not re racked. I realize this is mostly a membership issue with the members, but still, for a gym like this it need to be better kept for what they charge. They also do not have a one month membership 24hr access, (the first gym I’ve ever come across that doesn’t). You have to pay for 3 months. There’s a cancellation fee, and a $15 credit card fee. Overall not very impressed. I’ve been to smaller gyms that are 10x better. I’m hoping a new smaller gym opens in the area. Used to be nicer but now it’s gone downhill.

Positive experience: Nice fun clean plenty of room and equipment but it does get slammed in the busy afternoon hours. Most of staff are friendly and helpful too. Best of all they have a kids room open until 8

Fantastic experience: A great gym, with good people, and any awesome setup, with a bunch of classes available, like yoga, zumba and more, and Sauna and massage chair available.

Negative experience: Money hungry Gym. Dont do it. I was supposed to be month to month, when I called to cancel they informed me that I could only cancel in person. I told them that I was active duty military and was no longer in the area. They continued to charge.

Positive experience: Looks like they are trying harder to up the cleanliness. The current round of employees is very personable.

Fantastic experience: I joined Bailey's shortly after it opened in 2008. I've been a gym rat for almost 60 years ... Lots of gyms and Bailey's is the best. Nice facility and kept clean. An amazing amount of equipment that is kept in good working order and constantly being upgraded. The staff is friendly and professional. It's a five star gym.

Positive experience: The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the class schedules. If a class is supposed to be 50 minutes long and it goes for 60, the next class is short-changed. Example-Body Combat on Tuesday is from 9 to 10; yoga is from 10 to 11. The yoga class can never start on time. Either Body Combat needs to start at 8:45 or 8:50 or yoga needs to start at 9:45 or 9:50.

Positive experience: Been going here for years. Love the 24hr access. However as of late, like the past at least two weeks. The lights in the parking lot have been out. This is a safety concern for not only for me but some other members that go to the gym early or go late. It is so dark, other businesses in the area lights are working, just a concerned patron.

Negative experience: There’s is a lack of cleanliness in several areas in this facility which is becoming disgusting. The group exercise room has tumbles of hair in the corners, does not get swept so therefore we work out in the dust, dirt, and someone’s DNA. Mirrors have not been cleaned in months. The bathroom facilities are not up to par, showers are not cleaned on a daily basis. I could continue but there is no process in place to complain to Chuze, whoever they are.

Fantastic experience: They staff is always friendly and welcoming. I feel like I’m valued and appreciated. The equipment is always operable and if it isn’t, it’s not long before it’s up again. The facility is clean and maintains the cleanliness during the day and through the night as well.

Fantastic experience: I am not able to work out before 8pm. The relevancy to this is that even after the shop is closed the facility is still kept in great condition. I cannot think of anything I would like to change for the company, but I am far happier with this company than the other hypocritical corporate gyms.

Negative experience: Corporate claims to give 25% discounts once you are threatened to go to collections. They call it a "promotion". Make sure you provide an email to actually get updates on or they will simply blame you for not doing it. This is basic information a gym should have. The manger did not specify what was proof for relocation. Hey corporate-teach this to your people, otherwise I would have easily shown proof. DO NOT TAKE THE MANAGER'S WORD FOR IT. Corporate can decide to do whatever they want to make up for the fact that most people at that gym DO relocate because of FLETC people finishing their duties. They will make money off you.

Fantastic experience: EXCELLENT GYM. Aside from all the gym shark bros, this is the place to be! Baileys gets a hell yeah and a 5 star from this girl!! Swimsuit season THANKS YALL!

Negative experience: Dude…these Matrix weight machines are terrible. The old machines were waaayyy better. Some needed to be replaced with the same brand not a whole new brand, you thought newer brand name machines would be better but they’re not. The chest press is uneven, and with all of the machines now they feel extremely light…go back to the old weight machines. If you wanted to get something new then you should’ve got new stair climbers and that’s it. This is basically a planet fitness now, you’re not getting enough outta these new machines.

Fantastic experience: A gym that is affordable, open 24 hours a day, has tanning and classes and massage chairs AND a daycare! You can't beat Bailey's! There is a wide variety of workout equipment including newer and older options. Everything from TRX Straps and Punching bags all the way to free weights and machines. More classes would be nice, but the fact that they have something available Monday-Saturday is helpful! With the Kid Zone, I love that I don't have to worry about finding someone to watch my daughter while I go take care of my health. Personal Trainers are available and also affordable. All of Bailey's staff is courteous and respectful! Austin, Payton and Douglas are always on top of their game when it comes to recognizing members and anticipating their needs such as remembering whether they want to tan or if they are going to class or if they usually purchase a certain drink when they come in. They are very detail oriented and keep a clean and organized work space. Sunni, Bridgett and Vanessa are the three class instructors that I have had the pleasure of working with and all three give an incredible work out while also keeping their classes fun and full of variety. Of the personal Trainers, Ethan is by far the most personable that I have met, although all of them seem very nice and knowledgeable. Anita in the kid zone is always reliable and my two year old daughter absolutely adores her! My daily interactions with my Bailey's family proves to be the highlight of my day every single day. If you haven't been there, go check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: The Baileys in Brunswick is by far one of the best Gym experiences I have had so far. Clean equipment every day and friendly, helpful staff. Machines are always in working order, and if one isn’t. It’s normally fixed by the next day or sooner. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the Brunswick area!

Negative experience: baileys gym is a trash company. been trying to cancel my membership for almost 2 years with no luck. keep charging me $60 a month.

Fantastic experience: Clean respectful place to be

Negative experience: The gym was a good place to go. However when you want to cancel a contract after one year and you are in a different state they will not cancel it for you. They keep charging you all the fees and ask you to keep calling their corporate and they will not do it for you. Lots of money lost and my card is still being charged.

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out. Great location near to convenient places such as Walmart. The staff really friendly, including the area supervisors when they visit this location. Wonderful amenities, including dry sauna, lockers, showers and massage chairs. They offer different classes, child care service, and pro shop. Trainers are great to start your work out journey.

Negative experience: High fees and contract requirement make this a very bad value. They keep blowing up your phone even after cancelling membership with robocalls. Nothing special about this place at all to justify the exorbitant fees and contract requirements.

The only gripe I have is that the deadlift platform needs rebuilt from members dropping the bar and causing dips in the wood. Plastic collars that snap would be awesome too but people prob steal those so I get it. OH YEAH *EDIT* PLEASE ADD AN ADDITIONAL WATER FOUNTAIN. The last two times I was there, it was broken and I don't want to pay for a bottle of water to fill up my water bottle.

Fantastic experience: I love being a member of this gym. With my membership I can choose within 24 hr frame, which is great because I like very early mornings. The staff is great and the facility has plenty of equipment! My favorite part? THE SAUNA!!!

Negative experience: The staff at the Brunswick GA location are absolutely horrible. Particularly Q and Diana. Today they refused to help me with a simple request and instead told me to call corporate. It's not the customers job to do their job. They were rude, sarcastic and disrespectful. When I dealt with the manager Cole about this he was too incompetent to know how to handle it and got nasty with me. Stay away from this location if you have a pass.

Negative experience: they over charge us due to us paying yearly fee late, did not informed us when we went in to pay so they tried charging my card 14 days later after already trying on the due date. I informed them that we were not informed of the late fee and it was not our fault if they can fix it. The location supervisor said she called the corporate and got the problem fix that we did not had to pay the extra they were charging but this month when we went to pay they still charged us the extra 18 dollars. My husband paid it cause he was not in the mood but we will not be going back to baileys ever again due to them saying one thing and doing another. they are not loyal with their costumers and I want the contract cancelled. I will not be paying any fees to cancel the contract I am done with them completely.

Negative experience: Low quality equipment and over priced, not worth the money to say the least

Negative experience: DO NOT LEAVE your personal items in this gym in their locker rooms. I had my items stolen on the second day of being a member. My ID, credit, and debit card were stolen out of my wallet. I've reported it to the local police. If you come here just leave those items at home. The gym touts that it is safe and that has never happened. Once my month is done I will not be going back unbelievable!!!

Fantastic experience: I love my gym. It is clean and the people are helpful. At 66 it was a challenge to start exercising after so many years. But I see people of all ages and sizes working out. I never felt intimidated and put down. Now almost a year after starting I feel better than I have felt in years. I have become addicted to this place and the attitude of the people is icing on the cake.

Negative experience: The gym is good, some of the trainers are great, but just try to get out of a contract, ugh. Pandemic, and you're elderly and in a high risk group? Don't care, you need a doctor's note, and don't expect your calls to be returned.

Negative experience: Don’t sign Up at this gym because even after you follow the policy to end your contract they’ll still wind up sending your name to collection with MG credit.

Negative experience: I’ve had three surgeries in the past twelve months. So the manager told me to bring in all of the paperwork and I would be refunded. I did that. Instead they added free time onto the end of my contract which does nothing for me since I’m active duty. So I had my third surgery and I wanted to cancel since I will be unable to workout completely. I was told my paperwork from my doctor would not suffice. So I paid for a two year membership that I have never and can never use. If you are not in perfect health, don’t sign up they will swindle you. Such a SCAM!!!!!

Negative experience: Me and my husband just moved to the area and go to the gym 5 days a week and are very active in our health and were ready to sign up today and my husband just wanted to take a look around but dude at the front desk had awful sales and customer service so we joined anytime fitness instead :) we chose the gym that actually treated us like people

Negative experience: Most awful people to deal with! I signed a cancellation and still got charged an annual fee. I was told Cole Naugle messed it up and I have to call corporate to get my money back!

Negative experience: The gym its self is pretty good. The problem is there contract & payments. Don't be fooled read the fine print. Even though your contract expires, they require a 30 day notice to cancel which is absolutely Dumb!! If my contract is over why do i have to tell you to cancel? Real Shady

Fantastic experience: Sure, Bailey’s has somewhat shady billing tactics sometimes, but otherwise my experience is always great! This gym, in particular, was CLEAN and the front desk employees were courteous when I told them I had left my key card at home (an hour away). The equipment, a mix of Hammer Strength, cables, free weights, and the like, were all in good order (though one cable tricep machine was broken - understandable!). The floor seemed freshly mopped/vacuumed and there weren’t any paper towels or other trash items laying around (this was a Sunday afternoon, too!). Bailey’s, as a chain, has stepped up their game and I’m enjoying these improvements - from South Georgia to NE Florida! I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

Negative experience: Worst 24 hr gym ,how is it a 24 hr gym but guests can't enter after 10? I showed up 2 min after 10 and they wouldn't let me in and then the security is rude and disrespectful also called the cops BC I used a friends card .want a good 24 hour gym this is not for you
