Negative experience: Pre-pregnancy I was a member with HotWorx for years, my home location being the one in the Emory area, and I frequently utilized the Alpharetta/Roswell locations if I was working out after work. I love the experience, I love the program, I love the entire concept of this gym. I unfortunately had difficulty with my two, back to back pregnancies and couldn’t continue working out as vigorously, and had to cancel. I signed up again postpartum at the Brookhaven location. I noticed after a few visits some of the other members were unkind. And I often would get looks/stares/unkind remarks, that happens to me everywhere, I just learned to adjust. I started going in at 4 am, when no one else is there, so I can workout in peace. After a month of this I noticed a man actually staying there overnight, living there if you will. This made me uncomfortable, if something were to happen, there wouldn’t be anyone there to help for several hours. So I started to try coming later in the day (mind you this would be an inconvenience for me because of the issues I stated previously). This past Friday when entering the gym, while trying to find the text message I was given with my new door code, the location manager was simultaneously exiting the location, upon which she asked “ are you trying to get in here” with a sort of scared and disgusted look on her face, I responded with a simple “yes” … she walked past me making sure the door closed behind her, and that I didn’t get in, then proceeded to continue to watch me as she walked away; as if I was an unwanted character… This woman has seen me in this gym before, she was there when I signed up… why react to me as if I don’t belong somewhere I pay to be. And why not ask if I need assistance? Since joining I have been able to use the Brivo app twice… which is the pass to scan your phone to get into the door, if that doesn’t work you have to enter a door code, which I had memorized but was changed due to a misunderstanding by another associate. None of that warrants you to treat people that way, especially being the manager of the establishment. I tried to brush off how she made me feel and just continue on with my workout, but I couldn’t, when I confronted her about the issues, she though it was acceptable to explain that they get “unwanted characters” and non members who get in to the gym, and that because her grandchildren are half black, she couldn’t possibly have made me feel that way… . I canceled immediately, I asked if I could speak to someone above her, she told me the regional manager would give me a call… that has yet to happen. What saddens me is that the other associate there (who is black btw) and had also seen me there before had to stand by in silence while this lady played victim to her own actions and tried to lie about them when on the phone with the regional manager. This experience was shattering to me, despite negative experiences with members, I don’t expect this kind of behavior from employees, let alone the manger. This was one of the few places I considered a happy space, but I do not feel comfortable paying to be somewhere I am not welcomed and respected as a human being (physical attributes aside).

Fantastic experience: It’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and wellness. The space is clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff always make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in.

Negative experience: I began my membership at HOTWORX Brookhaven in September 2023, and initially, everything was great. However, I decided to freeze my account at the start of the summer. In August, after relocating an hour and a half away, I contacted HOTWORX to cancel my membership. I spoke with the manager of Brookhaven, who I believe was also the regional manager at the time. She informed me that I would need to visit the location in person to cancel, but after I explained my distance, she assured me that she would handle the cancellation process. She also mentioned the two-month cancellation fee, which would apply for August and September. Fast forward to October, and I noticed I was still being charged. At first, I didn’t realize due to the busy holiday season, but I was charged in October, November, December, and January. In January, I called customer service to address the issue and was informed that I had no proof of cancellation. I explained the situation, and the representative transferred me to the regional manager in Smyrna, Jocelyn. Jocelyn was professional, kind, and understanding. She promised to help me secure a refund for the charges from October to January, but informed me that she didn’t have the authority to process the refund herself—it would need to be handled by her manager, Matt. She also mentioned that the previous regional manager from Brookhaven had been involved in several similar issues recently. Despite Jocelyn's initial promise to assist, I have not received any communication from Matt as I was told. I have called the Smyrna location for the past three days and have yet to get in touch with Jocelyn. I spoke with another employee, who said they would text her and ask her to reach out to me. Today, I spoke with Asia, who told me that Jocelyn had already left for the day but would leave a note for her to follow up with me on Monday. At this point, I am incredibly frustrated by the lack of follow-through and the delays in resolving this matter. I understand that mistakes happen, but the ongoing lack of communication and unresolved issue is disappointing. I have still yet to hear back from Hotworx, despite emailing the national email.

Positive experience: Not the best facility because sometimes the machines don’t work and workers not there during the day. It’s a nice workout— but it gets busy sometimes and hard to work out when you want spontaneously so keep that in mind.

Negative experience: This location missed the mark. There was a problem with finding me in the system. The was a problem with the vending machine. We were told the lights were out in one sauna and heat not working in another. The doors were smeared and needed cleaning. Dust bunnies everywhere. This place looked very used. I wrote a review on the Cartersville location, and this location comes no where close to the level of cleanliness and organization. It is also half the size, it’s like they squeezed a Hot Worx in the space. I’m now interested to visit other locations…

Negative experience: Not sure what’s happened to the ownership /management of this location, but for two days there’s been no toilet paper and one basket of cleaning wipes. Also, people hot boxing weed nearly every recent visit. For what we pay per month, let’s get it together or sell your franchise

Positive experience: I have been coming to this Hotworx for years and I love the location but tonight was not a great experience. I had to wait on an employee to get out of my sauna before I could prepare for my workout and then another employee was basically moping around me as I prepared to leave. It completely disrupted my before and after workout. Please ladies stay out of the way of members!

Fantastic experience: I am glad we found Hotworx Brookhaven! The staff are exceptional and very accommodating especially to someone new to Hotworx. They made us feel at ease and were accommodating to our beginner questions. They made the registration process easy and were patient with us as we navigate thru the different activities and schedules. We also learned that it is also one of the locations with more sessions that are not found in other locations. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get the benefits of infrared sauna, take their workout to the next level, want flexibility of schedule and convenience. We love it!

Negative experience: I really liked this facility but I had to move out of the state and I am now being told I either need to come back into the the location or send them a certified letter in order to cancel. They make it very easy to sign up but difficult to cancel.

Fantastic experience: I’m loving HOTWORX so far!! Started in Dec 2023 and I’ve already lost 9 pounds within 2-3 weeks! Really enjoy the privacy of the saunas. I’ve never been big on working out and this is the first time I’ve consistently worked out. All my interactions with the staff have been great and I can’t wait to see what comes of it!! They give out the first class free so I’d recommend you try it out!!

Negative experience: “ Very Disappointed “ My wife and I signed up for a family membership, and I remember asking about the cancellation process. I was told that all we needed to do was notify them and that we would have to pay for two more months, which was acceptable to us. However, after a few sessions, we found that the experience was not meeting our expectations. I attempted to contact them via phone and email, but I received no response. When I called different locations for assistance, I was told that they couldn't help because I was not in their system. Finally, I visited one of their locations in person to cancel our membership. Unfortunately, I was informed that I could only cancel my own membership, not my wife's. I tried explaining to the manager how difficult it was for my wife to handle this process, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I did not appreciate the level of customer service we received, and it made me feel as if they were intentionally making it challenging for us to cancel and continue paying for a service we no longer used. I'm very disappointed by this experience.

The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly, and the saunas are perfect for individual and duo workouts. Don’t be worried about commitment because you’ll want to workout here at least 3X a week. (Even my skin gets clearer from working out here!)

Positive experience: I have been a member off and on for about 2.5 years now and have attended 4-5 different Hotworx studios. When I joined the Brookhaven location in January, the staff was amazing and the vibe was great. Cam, Jules, Nick and Tia were outgoing, kind, spirited and so fun to be around. Ever since they left and the staff changed over, it hasn't been the same. I would have given the gym a 10000/5 stars a few months ago, but ever since the change in management, I'd say it has gone downhill.

Fantastic experience: HOTWORX Brookhaven is my place. When I say my place, I’m talking about where I come to relieve stress from the chaotic days. It always feels so good to see the staff, they go over and beyond. It’s clean and smells good. I love the premixed essential oil sprays for the saunas. This is the first place I have been able to commit and stick with in a very long time.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of HOTWORX for 3 years and I LOVE it. In addition to getting an amazing workout ( there are 11 different types of Hot workouts to choose from and a free weight area too), the heat and infrared energy has made my skin glow. The staff members are friendly and helpful. It is so nice that I can workout anytime I want because HOTWORX is always open.

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to share that the Hotworx 3D workout system has been one of the best things to speed up my recovery. I got in a really bad car accident back in February and hurt my knee pretty bad. The inferred saunas have healed me more than physical therapy. If you have injuries, or are trying to recover from one, or just trying to maintain the health of your body across the board - HOTWORX IS THE WAY TO GO. Their system is simple, prices are cheaper than your favorite gyms, and it’s open 24/7. The Brookhaven location is always clean and smells clean. Hotworx Brookhaven is my new home fitness studio now that I have officially moved to Atlanta!!! I’m in love!

Fantastic experience: I love HOTWORX Brookhaven!! It is super convenient and easily fits into my schedule. Working out in the saunas really helps me detox and it doesn’t make me as sore after my workouts! It is also very clean in there and I feel comfortable using all of the equipment. My favorite is Hot Barre! I think everyone should give this unique concept a try :)

Negative experience: I came in for a free trial session that i was told was going to be private. 5 minutes into the session another person walks in, I did not mind at first until she demanded that i turn off my camera that management approved of prior. After i refused because i already had permission, she ran to the management and claimed i was purposely filming her. To my surprise the same manager that approved me recording for my vlog asked that i put my camera away or leave the session even though he informed me that it was his fault that the room wasn’t private because he booked it incorrectly. I left the room shortly and returned after missing half of the workout because i didn’t want to be around the nasty energy of that member during my workout. I must mention that this was a white woman and i feel the situation had racist undertones because she was clearly in the wrong but somehow got to kick me out of my own session for something that was approved. Overall this was a horrible experience and staff was very unprofessional. I did not return. Book cautiously. Update: The manager was a black male. It was 100% the Dresden drive location. I’m not sure why management would try to gaslight me into thinking i didn’t know which location i went to. But don’t book here! Try Thrive Gym in Chamblee!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to the gym for a month and a 1/2 now and when I say it's the most amazing thing it really is. I have worked out in my life on and off for so many years And this is my 1st time as of yet finding a gym and a program that is not only Addictive , keeps me Consisted in my fitness journey. I love how it has 24 hour access( key card gym) The facility is clean and they do deep cleans often. The staff and the members that go there are so cordial nice and helpful. I did a trial run membership loved the facility and signed up for a monthly membership the transition was easy and the staff was helpful. As of right now they do play the same videos in the workout rooms a few of them have changed since I've been there I did when I mentioned that And also for some of the machines the seats are standard So there is a steep learning curve for your body to adjust or be prepared to bring your own Cushing padding For long sessions. As of yet this place is amazing and I'll recommend going to this location.

Fantastic experience: Love the short and extra efficient work out regime. Their 3D routine is not only helping me stay on track with my weight loss goals but also has benefited my skin.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Even though you reserve a slot to work out, people take your slot and your room. Additionally, I was charged $200+ randomly. I asked for a refund and was told the “new owner” doesn’t refund. Save your time and money.

Negative experience: Our home Hotworx is in Grant Park, and for that I am grateful. We stopped her after hours to work out since we had dinner in the area. The app should have been the first clue, only 3 sauna rooms were avaliable per the app. Second clue should have been the sticky floors and mats and the putrid smell from the sauna rooms. There is no water options for a sauna-baded workout facility, accessible except though purchase (which I feel is a bit negligent given the heat + other hotworx gyms have them) I'm disappointed with not being able to cycle like we wanted due to no volume. This place looks like it needs a deep clean and som TLC. We were sorely disappointed with the lack of cleaning but the abundance of charcoal bags in the picture below. I know we sweat in the saunas but I cannot stress the abhorrent smell in all the rooms we went it to see if they were functioning. - Hope to see some changes for such an expensive membership for that to be other members home-gym location.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a place to workout and thinking of trying Hotworx, do it! Hotworx is open 24 hours a day and allows you to book your sessions in the app. Having 15-30 minute sessions works great with my work schedule. I’ve already lost inches just after two weeks of working out. Highly recommend!

The virtual instruction is convenient and really motivating. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. This gym has showers and any toiletries you’d need. You can even buy resistance bands and protein shakes in the vending machine. The holiday sign up bundle was a fabulous deal and the staff was absolutely stellar. Kelly explained everything perfectly and answered all of my questions without hesitation. I can’t imagine going back to regular (non-infrared heat) workouts after today. #EarnTheBurn

Fantastic experience: Kelly who is amazing, friendly, and professional signed me up for my HOTWORX membership 5 months ago. After running for 30 years my back started giving in. I needed a low impact workout that could still give me the endorphin rush that I CRAVE from working out. HOTWORX fit the bill and more. Not only do I get in a great workout combining the HIIT and ISO classes, the detox and benefits from the infrared saunas is amazing. Better skin, better sleep, better health!! I have become obsessed and am so grateful to have found this gem of a studio.

The benefits of the sauna are amazing, too! Anyone who enjoys fitness will love the HOTWORX experience!

I went after my roommate introduced me to it and they took me through a full walk through of the facility, talked me through the process, let me do my workout, and checked up on me afterwards. And it’s such a different type of workout that I haven’t lost the fun part of it.
