Woodside Event Center at St Michael's

Fantastic experience: Woodside Event Center is truly an underrated wedding venue. My husband and I had our reception here last month and we could not be more pleased with our experience. Marge was attentive, responsive, and helpful throughout the 9 month process. We were offered a complimentary meal tasting and met several times to review details. We loved how the venue was all-inclusive with food and alcohol included, and the food was excellent. We highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: The events held at this establishment are the epitome of decent! Costume contests, surprise parties, bad mustaches - you name it! I'd suggest requesting Mawina Iwene as your event coordinator if you so choose this center as your final destination...of fun!

Positive experience: Nice place. Clean bathrooms. Good kitchen area. Would give 5 stars except the large black mold spots in several areas across the ceiling bothers me.

Fantastic experience: VERY beautiful venue. All the food was very good, too, but I just don't like the pork offered. I don't eat it much anymore now, but since hungry I did, but regretted it. It was tasty, but not my favorite meat and in fact, my least favorite lately. Great place for weddings, though! I really liked the hors d'oeuvres which had a variety of cheese, and pickled vegetables. Also, the dessert was so very delicious which was a layered chocolate cake with some white cake. The bathrooms were awesome, very modern and clean.

You cannot go wrong. We cannot get over how beautiful the place was set up for our reception, and what an amazing job Marge and staff did to decorate/transform the space! Our cookie table was beyond anything we could have imagined! Please consider booking with them. They do not disappoint! They made our lives so easy during the entire planning process and during the actual day.

Fantastic experience: Woodside Event Center is one of the utmost perfect locations for a wedding reception. The reception hall is beautiful and the staff is professional and wonderful. Marge is an amazing and practiced coordinator. She took our ideas, and made them a reality. She answered all of our questions and made sure the night went smoothly. We were able to fully realize our perfect reception thanks to her and the staff at Woodside. They worked effortlessly throughout the night to ensure a great party that all of our guests loved. The bar was amazing. The food was complemented by everyone, and was so good, I'd go back just for a meal. We highly recommend the Late Night Pretzel bar as well. It came out at the best time during the evening, causing people to stay a little longer, and lead to the best night ever. 1000/10, would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My company holds its holiday dinner dance here. Every year Mary Jane is a pleasure to work with and staff is more than accommodating! The food is always excellent (my company also uses Verba's Catering for other work functions) and you can bring in your own liquor.

Fantastic experience: I had my wedding reception here June 2014. Let me tell you, I am so happy that I did! Mary Jane, Kathy and all the employees made me feel I was the only person they were working with for months before the big day! The food was absolutely amazing! I had guests ask me for left overs the following week! My day went off without any issues and this is huge part to the staff at St. Michael's Woodside! I couldn't thank them enough!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how terrific it was to work with Marge, Colleen and Kathy to organize our event. They made sure that every detail was taken care of - from the food which was prepared and presented beautifully, to our specialized table centerpieces, to the coat check, to the AV equipement on time and in place. The dining/presentation room perfectly accommodated our group of 180 guests and vendor tables. The restrooms were clean and bright, the guest reception area was complete with video screens showing our logo and the parking lot was convenient to the front door large enough to easily accommodate our group. Our guests remarked at how nice and comfortable the facility was. We will absolutely use Woodside Event Center again and highly recommend it to you.

The beef dinner i had was absolelutely delicious. I coukd cut it with a spoon and it had a slight suggestion of pink in the middle. Fantastic experience: We had our wedding at Woodside on 9/23/2022 and it was absolutely AMAZING! Marge and the team did an incredible job! From the very beginning of planning Marge was always available to communicate with us and help plan our event! The food was OUTSTANDING! Everyone raved about the food and we even got to take the extras home! We had the arancini and bacon wrapped sweet potatoes for appetizers, Woodside signature salad, choice of Champagne Chicken or Filet of Beef tenderloin served with the garlic smashed potatoes and green beans! And if guests weren't full after all that we did a late night slider station with burgers and chicken sandwiches! Everyone loved the food! They made the space look absolutely stunning with all of the decorations we provided and even added some of their own to make it look even better! And they made sure all of our gifts and decorations made it home with us safely! They even let us pick up the rest of the food the next day since we didn't have room in the cars! I would HIGHLY recommend Woodside Event Center for your wedding or formal event! They will not disappoint you!

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but praise and gratitude for this amazing venue. Long story short, my husband and I got married on June 17th, 2022 and had our reception at Woodside, but that was not our original plan. Our original venue was Landoll's Castle in Mohican, and under three days before our wedding we received the news that some storms had went through the area and took out all the power at our venue as well as the water. Power was not expected to be turned back on for days because of the extreme heat and damage to the power lines. This put me and my now husband in a terrible place, as this was the Tuesday night before our Friday morning wedding. My family and I were scrambling to find any type of back up plan for our special day. Many tears were shed, as we desperately made calls to various venues telling our story. This is where Woodside comes in; Marge and Colleen(the wedding planners) were so incredibly helpful and sympathetic to what we were going through. They managed to find staff, food, and more all on under 48 hours notice. They met with us the day we called, to talk and discuss our vision for the wedding. They were able to get us the food we wanted, as well as all the alcohol. They set the whole venue up and decorated with our decorations, which was a challenge in itself because we were having a Game of Thrones themed reception. They absolutely went above and beyond what we could have hoped for. The amount of work in such a short period of time Woodside and all the staff did for us was nothing short of a miracle. I am so very thankful for the beautiful decorating job as well as the amazing food. Even though the stress of what we went through was hard, looking back it was absolutely meant to be, and I'm convinced the way things turned out were BETTER than what they would have been at our other venue. Thank you again for saving our day Woodside, you are all AMAZING and I can't wait to tell everyone about the miracle you guys pulled off for us. THANK YOU!

Positive experience: I've been coming here for 5 years now. This year has been disappointing. The service was great as always but the food was not as good. Didn't taste as good and they subbed for cheaper stuff yet almost doubled the price per meal. The best part was the bread and salad.

Please talk to Marge. She is the nicest and most personable coordinator running the show. She will help you with any questions that you may have and was at the center for the success of our experience at Woodside. You would be foolish not to consider this venue!

I can never say thank you enough to the staff but especially Marge. She is the most patient, helpful woman ever. Every bride needs someone like Marge to make things easier through planning with your venue and also the day of. The staff set everything up and took everything down. We didn’t have to lift a finger! The food is still raved about because it was so delicious. Bartenders were so friendly and so much fun too! Everyone was great there and not to mention how beautiful it is there. The entire venue was nothing short of amazing. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! 10000/10 recommend.
