Fantastic experience: Clean, plenty of workout stations, free to move throughout the facility without having to wait for a station to open. They also have sparring, kickboxing, etc. Great facility...

Negative experience: place has charged me for 150 before when it was supposed to be 20 then they canceled my membership and told me 80 to reinstate it, also has double and triple charged my account multiple times, they also get new management every week lol. this place is literally just one big scam

Negative experience: I was being charged $103 a month when the guy next to me was paying $45 for the same membership, Facility is very nice but their martial arts program is a joke with no consistency. Poor management. Over all dissatisfied with my experience.

Negative experience: Gym might be clean but bathroom is dirty, lights burnt, one stole has been out of order for weeks and the management is very unprofessional. I signed up for personal training but the trainer I signed up ended up quoting. I asked for the refund of the 10 sessions I never used and they refused to refund me and basically saying I’m ahit out of luck. And then they canceled my membership because I disputed the fee with the bank

Negative experience: The equipment is great and the facility could be top notch but it’s clearly not being run very well. They claim to open at 5am but you’re lucky if you get in before 5:10 am. The people that open rarely ever show up on time and the fact that this is a daily occurrence is a direct reflection of the management in charge. 2 weeks ago I hung out until 5:45 before giving up and heading to another gym and again this morning I was waiting until 5:30 before leaving and heading to the other gym again. I always feel like it’s a gamble to even drive here because you never know if they’re going to open on time or if you’ll be waiting 30+ minutes for someone to show up and unlock the doors. Another area that can be improved is the locker rooms. They are usually a disaster every morning with paper towels all over the floor near the full trash can so apparently the all new “in house cleaning” program seems to be failing miserably. There’s also several light fixtures with no bulbs in them and I believe only 2 of the showers have working lights. About 90% of the lockers have been locked since I’ve started about 2 months ago so apparently nobody is following up to make sure any of their processes and policies are being followed. I don’t blame the staff at this point because to be honest each and every one of them seem extremely nice to talk to in the brief interactions I’ve had but management needs to wake up and start paying attention to what’s going on. It’s really sad because I love the gym, it has great equipment and offers lots of different classes and recovery if you’re into those sorts of things but these minor issues are enough to ruin the experience for paying customers and ultimately damage the reputation of what could be one of the best gyms in the area. Please get this stuff straightened out because I really don’t want to have to switch gyms again this soon but if I’m being honest I’m already regretting signing up.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my membership here! The whole building is clean, and I always get to use the equipment I want to use. There have been a few instances where I had questions or concerns but the staff was very helpful in reassuring/remediating them. Overall, I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Such a vibey gym! Has all the right recovery, and gym equipment, not crowded, best coaches out there for mma, wrestling, youth wrestling, kickboxing, boxing/conditioning. Youth boxing as well! Willing to work with you and your needs, they care about what it is you need and meet you half way upon your needs. Family orientated. I always see kids running out after classes so happy. Fighters who sign up end up becoming successful!

Negative experience: It’s large gym with plenty of equipment but they do not open on time. The gym should be open at 5am however the doors are locked and the lights are off. I joined this gym in June and it’s the 4th time it didn’t open on time. I paid for my membership in full and definitely want my money back. If you value working out in the morning find a 24 hour gym.

Negative experience: I love everything about this gym except that certain beverages are self checkout there and every time I grab my juices after paying for them I get questioned; did I buy them.. if you think people are going to steal them why have them as a self checkout? Or am I be questioned for other reasons..?

Negative experience: You know, I’m not one to leave reviews. But it’s needed at this time so to begin last year I was going to the gym with my wife and my my son was in daycare because it was convenient. Well, then I had issues with the daycare because of this weird person that they had working watching the kids. So then today, I figured I’d give it a shot and I took my son to tryout the BJJ Classes I even gotten a confirmation text from the general manager Leo, confirming that we had still the classes confirmed for 5 o’clock. So we’re sitting there and sitting there. Then to find out, apparently they forgot to switch the schedule around and no longer had those classes on Friday. You know it’s one thing if you inconvenience me OK, I’ll be a little annoyed. I’ll get over it but now you had me having my son excited to go to these classes then to find out that there is no classes. So I wasted time driving there for absolutely no reason. You know there’s parents out there That probably try to even get off of work early just to get those kids to those classes and just find out that all the Sudden change the schedule without telling anybody is absolutely unprofessional ridiculous And just I don’t even have any more words. You wanna take your kid to a real gym have your kid get something out of those classes? Take them to Strong style MMA gym in independence

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything I need. Joining was very simple and Joining wasn't as problematic as I thought, I explained my budget and they set me up with awesome plan that works with my wants, schedule and budget. Employees and trainers are very cool. Classes are dope too.

Negative experience: I see that I am not alone in the struggle. I have also been charged past the cancelation period. I also emailed the GM several times and was told "sorry, it's corrected". But no. I did not receive a refund. I emailed again. I was ignored. I emailed again. I was then told the check is in the mail. Again, no refund or check. I have been ignored and still not compensated for this company's error. It seems like I'm not alone so this is some sort of scam or the GM is pocketing money.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Great environment, awesome staff, never too crowded. I’ve been a member for over a year and not once have I had a bad experience. The members and staff are always motivating and supportive which helps me achieve my goals!

Negative experience: **Update:** Downgrading review. This establishment is extremely unprofessional when it comes to their billing process. Monthly charges have continued, as well as a brand new one - again for a membership that I canceled months ago. --- Overall not a great experience. I canceled after they removed the kickboxing skills and techniques class. They are also super pushy with trying to sell their PT classes. Despite canceling in person 3+ months ago, they are still charging my cc monthly. I have contacted them via email and phone to try and resolve.

Negative experience: Scam alert read all of your fine print. Like every word you think you read it correctly but it's not what you think it is. Canceled my plan after 5 months of going. They made it seem like every thing was fine no charge this and that to get a call from collection 4 months later stating I owe 700 dollars. The equipment never got wiped down I would really recommend go somewhere else any where else

Negative experience: A kick boxing class with no kicking? Out of all the punching bags in there the coach had us punch each other. Trying to get to know the coach so I asked where he trains he told me “I like strong style gym more because they don’t allow talking like here.” After getting told to indirectly shut up and getting punched in the gut I later got calls, emails, and texts telling me to join. Anyone can open a gym you just need to buy equipment, but when it comes to classes and training you need good people which they clearly didn’t have. With that being said heres a shiny star ⭐️

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a really good layout. You can tell it was thought through. We tried 9 gyms in the area before settling on this one because it had proper squat rack platforms, a core area, bars, good overall equipment and also resistance bands and other helpful things like barbell pads and foam rollers. The culture seems positive and encouraging and everyone is always looking out for one another vs trying to compete or make it competitive. I've always had people come spot me, or help me with form if I needed help. Jimmy and Christian were also extremely nice to us. The only thing I've noticed recently is the resistance bands are missing and a lot of times so are the barbell pads for exercises like hip thrusts and PVC pipes for warm ups. The management seemed great when we first moved to this gym 1.5 years ago, but it seems to be getting complacent. I still think it's the best gym in the area and hence, the rating but I do hope it doesn't decline.

Negative experience: An absolute NO for the youth boxing program. The teacher, Sergio, didn't show up, the guy at the front desk was clueless (and said he could TRY to see if someone else was teaching it) , the "coach" on the mat seemed really uninterested in a newcomer basically ignored my son bc he didn't have boxing gloves! This was his FIRST class to try it out and the guy on the phone yesterday told me that my son didn't need to bring anything. It was a waste of time and we'll never go back. My son was so disappointed and was really looking forward to the boxing sport.

Fantastic experience: Really nice and new gym. Ask about the children's MMA classes that they offer!

Negative experience: I enjoyed the gym at first, relatively clean and It’s a step up from planet fitness in the free weight category. However there is an obvious management problem as the staff is nice but are unsupervised. I’ve shown up and the lights were all off when the place was supposed to be open. They use these stupid sanitary wipes that leave a slippery residue on everything. And at the time of writing this they were out of the wipes for 2-3 days. So that means that the equipment has gone 2-3 days with people not wiping it off. Just get spray bottles and paper towels. Also the other gym members/patrons are very inconsiderate, the machines, etc are all marked where each size plate is supposed to go and I am I constantly having to move 10, 25, and 35 lb plates to get to the 45’s and vice versa. There needs to be someone from the staff assigned to walk around every so often and monitor the gym/help educate people on this. Please get some proper management in there, maybe someone who has experience managing a successful gym. Probably am going to start looking at other options including going back to planet fitness.

Positive experience: The gym has nice facilities when it is open. I work night shift and I like to go to the gym after work. There have been multiple times that I arrive around 6am and the gym is closed. The website, google and facebook all say that they are open. Today, July 16, I arrived at 8am and the gym was closed. There were multiple people in the parking lot who were waiting before I arrived. I left after waiting for 10 minutes. I received no notifications through email or no postings on social media if they have to open late.

Negative experience: The gym equipment itself is still nice, but based on the trend I see it’s only because it’s still relatively new. In terms of the overall gym experience, it’s not an enjoyable time. Starting with the equipment, the gym has very few attachments for the cables outside of lat pull-down bars. Again, with cables they are missing carabiners and weight stack pins and have been for months. The gym does have additional bars and attachments in an employee only room that they only allow their preferred customers to use, I have seen members walk in grab an attachment and walk out. When I asked about the attachment that I could see through the glass door I was told they don’t have it. There are only about 6 cleaning stations in the entire gym. In the last 2 years am sure I could count on 2 hands the number of times all of these have been full. At least 2-3 are out of wipes on any given day. The shower heads in the men’s locker room were just recently fixed after what felt like months of them being broken, not just 1 but all of the shower heads were broken. If you enjoy working out surrounded by shirtless men, avoiding tripods and cameras with every step, and being in the back of everyone’s videos, this will be the place for you. Finally, this week on Wednesday (6/21) the gym was just not open. Nothing posted on social media or a sign on the door about a closure. They just decided to not schedule someone, or the single person they schedule to open in the mornings decided not to show.

Negative experience: If you want space and cleanliness this is it, as long as you don’t mind having money taken from your account whenever this gym needs it. They are currently refusing to cancel membership and it’s impossible to get anyone besides whatever new managers at the location they have that month on the phone. Wayne the current manager was one of the rudest people , let alone managers I’ve ever experienced. Unfortunately this is not isolated to me. This is a common practice of this gym and a major reason why so much of the body building community avoids membership here. Do not be deceived. Ask any employee how long they have worked there that will tell you all you need to know

The gym's facilities are top-notch and the fees are very reasonable. The customer service is second to none as the staff is always willing to help out and answer any questions. I highly recommend UFC Gym to anyone who wants to get fit and have an amazing experience. Five stars for sure!

I made a full payment for my son to have a private sessions and i never received any service I tried to talk with all coaches everyone send me to the other and nobody called me at all, i was very mad for real i came and talked with Wayne that he is the manager he came with the worst customer service and he asked me to leave to GYM and he was about to put his hands on me he told me “don’t try me” and start yelling on me infront of my son and daughter, I asked for refund he said no refund and start telling me to leave and he will do traspassing on me and I’m a new customer I don’t even have a week, I don’t think this is a safe place to send kids with this manager I paid $600 just for no service given its ok i dont want the money but this place is really unsafe and in anytime expect to be kicked out or to be punched or even losing your life JUST DONT SEND YOUR KIDS THERE

Fantastic experience: Cleanest gym I have ever been to. The prices are the lowest in Ohio for MMA training and gym access. Usually to get just Brazilian jiujitsu alone somewhere it’s usually $150+ a month. At UFC you get a full set gym with everything you’d need, full recovery with massages and cryo, child care, unlimited boxing, kickboxing, jiujitsu, and HIIT classes all for cheaper than most places that offer JUST jiujitsu. Equipment is brand spanking new. Front desk girls are the sweetest. Boxing coach is an absolute unit. And they got the baddies up in there workin out!!!!! 10/10 all day

Positive experience: Not bad. The equipment is kind of shaky. The barbells there have too much of a spin to actually push serious weight. There are too many random fees. But the guy that signed me up (forgot his name) has great customer service. I did have one bad experience with some random guy just screaming at the top of his lungs. The people that work there literally stood around and didn’t say a word. But no big deal. I’m a big boy and can handle myself. But they should consider the equipment and get barbells for pressing.

I tried to go in with a friend of mine and they didint allow him to go in as a guest so we were trying to pay for a day pass and the guy at the desk was being very rude so I decided to cancel my membership and when I told him that he wanted to kick me out and started to yell at me and even “PUT HIS HANDS ON ME” I definitely don’t recommend this gym go somewhere you will be respected at.

Negative experience: If you can get a contract in writing, do so. There are so many hidden fees and extra charges, you can easily pay $875 for two months.

Negative experience: Horrible billing practices. It's been 9 months and I still don't have a refund from when they charged our account AFTER my wife had cancelled. They had to fire their entire staff from what I've heard because of the predatory billing. STAY AWAY! The comment below from the owner stating it was a mistake is a lie. The entire staff was fired for fraudulent billing practices. It was done on purpose and admitted as such by former staff. So stop the lies.

Negative experience: I have been paying 99.00 a month for my son,jumps price up to 151.00 etc.on auto debit,this place barely worth 99.00,now without my knowing, they take more out of my account for his Brazilian jujitsu classes.what a rip.of course it's all about the money,a 50 minute class.just be warned of this happening.

Fantastic experience: After a little over a month, I am very satisfied with this place. There are minor hiccups, but they don't detract from the overall experience. The equipment is great and well-maintained. The culture there is positive. My personal trainer has been super helpful. My biggest feedback is the locker room. There are many lockers that don't have functioning locks or doors. On more than one occasion, I've had one almost lock me out because the spinners wouldn't turn to allow me to put my numbers in. For the membership cost, I'd expect better attention to detail. Please upgrade those (or at least outfit them so we can just use our own locks. That would be best, I think.) I get free gym membership at big-name places like Planet Fitness through my health insurance. I may give some of those places a shot because my budget is constrained at the moment. However, if I find a way, I would like to keep coming back here too because it is that worth it to me.

Negative experience: Do NOT go here. The staff will file false complaints against you without any proof. The Gm will NOT listen to the members but will automatically side with the staff without specifying the details and will automatically cancel your membership suddenly without your knowledge. This gym is overrated and full of hype .Planet fitness is where it’s at!

Positive experience: Full disclosure I did not sign up. Just went to try out a bjj class. Instructor was amazing but the day I had planned to sign up they dropped all morning classes off the schedule. Then I injured my knee and when I got better I saw they had a 10 day all access pass so I called and they said no since I had trained one day I wasn't eligible. The guy was snooty about it too like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to give them my money. I had wanted to try out the yoga and kickboxing classes as well but they literally give you one class and you have to decide. At that point, easy decision. That's a big nope. The facility is amazing but the business model seems less amazing. I could never figure out the schedule. It seems to be top secret at least for non members. I had wanted to do bjj but also other classes but i needed to know the schedule since the gym is far from my house. It was all just too hard. I felt lucky, usually a gym will get you to sign up before treating you like you don't matter and I heard the awesome jits guy isn't even there anymore anyway. Seems like other ppl are happy there judging by reviews but for me I've mostly trained in garages and I don't really care about glitz. I want excellent instructors and a schedule that fits my needs. There is heavy competition in the martial arts scene in the Cle. You can't really fake it.

Fantastic experience: If you have children and need a place to workout, this is the place for you. Not only does this gym offer youth classes, but they have an extensive range of workout equipment and gear no matter the work-out regiment your after. You will be satisfied whether you're a serious body builder or novice looking to better yourself and live a healthier life. I've been going here for a month now and highly recommend atleast giving it a try and tour whenever possible.
