Fantastic experience: From out of town and was treated with so much respect, everything was super clean and had such a good workout. Next time I’m in town I’m coming here, definitely recommend!!

Negative experience: The Willoughby branch is phenominal, this one not so much. It seems like they do not spread the money out evenly between locations. Maybe theyre franchised? Idk. Either way go to Willoughby instead.

Fantastic experience: My experiences working out with Nate are the best! He crafts his classes and one on one sessions so you are constantly developing full body. He will meet you at your level of difficulty. Nothing is too small and he’s right there in the trenches with us when the Workout is tough. He helps you create working out as a lifestyle. I have been working out with Nate for 5 years and have not looked back even once. Looking forward to much more to come!

Fantastic experience: Started coming to Onyx in September 2024 and I’m really enjoying my experience so far! Huge shoutout to Nate, one of the personal trainers/group fitness instructors! He is motivating and supportive to everyone who walks in the door, and does a great job of getting to know each guest and their needs/goals. I enjoy attending his classes, in part because no two classes are identical, but also because he holds his attendee accountable — both in progress and consistency. The facility is generally a good one - has all the equipment I like to use and never overcrowded to the point that it becomes inconvenient.

Fantastic experience: I work an office job and realized I wasn’t moving nearly as much as I should. I decided to join Nate’s evening classes (Monday through Thursday), and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health. I’ve never felt stronger, and that’s 100% thanks to Nate. He starts every class with a smile and ends it with a high five—his energy is contagious. Even when I feel like I can’t push through a set, he’s right there encouraging me to keep going. He’s always willing to correct my form and introduce new exercises I’d never heard of before. I was really hesitant to join a gym, but Nate creates such a welcoming and supportive environment that it instantly put me at ease. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, he makes everyone feel like they belong. Can’t recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: Great staff, and good set of workout equipment from: Dumbells, dead light and bench bars, ropes, punching bag, treadmills, stair steppers, and several weight machines. Definitely loved coming here and always will be coming back as my gym to go to. Update: I also got setup with a personal trainer (Nate Poston) here, and have lost more weight and have been helped through each process, workout, and meal plan. This is definitely a determined place to help you meet your goals.

Fantastic experience: I definitely recommend onyx gym in fairview park for anyone trying to better themselves. Whether you have no gym experience but want to give it a try or are looking for your everyday gym to continue your lift, onyx has your back. The trainers are all extremely welcoming and happy to help. I come in to see the trainers get excited about their clients making progress and pushing themselves to be the best they can be. My go to trainer is Nate aka nate the great aka nate dogg because he's always willing to answer any questions I have about form or new exercises and he's always there to motivate me on my personal workouts. How does this man get to the gym before anyone and always has a smile on his face, I still don't know but its the atmosphere you want to be in when you're working towards personal goals!!

Fantastic experience: I have been training with Nate Poston for 4 years. He is an awesome trainer who focuses on my needs and provides helpful ideas to boost my physical abilities. I will be 84 this year and he has been instrumental in keeping me moving. I’ve had many trainers over the years and Nate is by far the best! Thank you, Nate!!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. I have been wanting to visit this gym for a while which is conveniently located near my home. I am visually impaired and was quite nervous to take the leap. I eventually decided to start a membership. I received a call from Jocelyn, who was amazing and incredibly friendly. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable. She explained everything to me, asked if I had questions and overall was excited to have me join. I was still quite nervous to venture into certain areas of the gym because of my visual impairment. I would solely utilize the treadmill only but was still very interested in other areas of the gym. I have been on a consistent fitness journey since May of this year and have successfully lost 54 pounds. I wanted to add more to my fitness journey other than what I was doing at home on my own, so I reached out to the gym again and was greeted by Jocelyn. I explained to her that I was interested in adding a personal trainer to aid me on my journey. I was given a complimentary session to see if it would be a good fit for me. I had my complimentary session with Nate. Nate is also amazing and shows genuine concern for my safety and my fitness journey. After my first session, I was on board. I have completed several sessions with Nate and have also been able to utilize several machines in the gym, which I love. I have become incredibly comfortable entering the gym. To say Jocelyn and Nate is amazing is an understatement. I cannot say enough about Nate, my personal trainer. He consistently assures me of my safety and level of comfortability, which is very important to me. I have also met a friendly face or two in the process. This is a great gym to join. The energy and vibe there is awesome. I look forward to going to the gym. My fitness and health journey is incredibly important to me. Joining the gym and having a personal trainer is one of the best decisions I have made and I look forward to seeing my results 3, 6, 9 and even a year from now. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a part of Onyx for 6 months now and love it! One of the main reasons why I joined is because of the welcoming atmosphere and how people of all ages and skill levels have a place here. The trainers set the tone in how everyone is treated with respect and encouragement to meet their fitness goals. The morning classes with Nate have been my staple since December. They are a mix of strength and cardio circuits. He mixes it up each day. I go three to four times a week and haven’t done the same workout once. There may be similar sets, but it is a fresh way each time and mixed with other options. It is helpful to have a trainer there for questions about form and others there to keep me motivated. I brought a friend today to come try it out because I enjoy the class so much!

Fantastic experience: Been going to Onyx for the last 5 years and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I’ve trained with Nate Polston and he is the best! The community there makes everyone feel welcome. The 6 am classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays have kept me all the way together and hitting my goals!!

Negative experience: I reached out to the owner (Emil) to discuss canceling my membership. I have previously tried talking to Managers & employees to cancel, and everytime they told me to talk to Emil. He was rude and Inconsiderate, He didn’t wanna hear anything I need to say or my problem. All this man cares about is your money and adding gym improvements feels whenever they want

Fantastic experience: Alyssa is the best trainer I have ever met. As a person who lifts almost every day, she finds ways to challenge me and push me past limits I did not know I could cross. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to start their fitness journey, or to anyone who wants to see how far they can push their body to. In terms of the facility, it is fantastic. It has everything a person who lifts needs.

Negative experience: I go to this location because I train with Rio Pro jiujitsu. I was under the impression that my membership to Rio Pro allowed me access to the onyx side with equipment. Today I was approached by Alyssa, the GM. She was extremely aggressive towards me. If you scroll down to other reviews you’ll see that she has acted in a similar manner to others. Sharing my experience so potential members can be informed of the lack of professionalism. Had she approached me in a different manner I would have aptly apologized. Maybe I would have joined onyx as well. Buyer beware, considering this behavior is tolerated. I may not be paying for onyx directly, but support the building from my membership to Rio Pro.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Visiting from out of town and had everything I needed. Was able to do a full body workout no issue. Very clean and well run. Equipment in excellent condition. Good air conditioning and all around vibes. Alyssa was super friendly. Will definitely come back when I visit Cleveland again.

The best thing about Nate, not only that he is very knowledgeable, but he truly cares about your fitness growth. Nate rly had a big impact on my fitness journey and I miss you every time I go to the gym now that I moved!! (i am at the gym right now, i just remembered you telling me not to use momentum haha)

Fantastic experience: Very clean and convenient gym in the middle of Fairview park with all the equipment you could want to have a good workout

Negative experience: Communication is terrible. What’s the point of having a phone if you are never going to pick it up. Tried going in during working hours, no one there to help. Only benefit of this gym is all days are 24 hour. Would recommend going to a different gym.

Fantastic experience: I became a member at ONYX Fairview Park in April 2023 after moving to the area. I only do the group classes which have been wonderful. The trainer is very knowledgeable and the classes are different every time. I definitely do not get bored working out here. The entire atmosphere of the gym is very friendly and welcoming. If you're not into group classes - there are plenty of machines and weights to do your own thing. I would highly recommend ONYX Fairview Park to anyone looking for a great gym!

Fantastic experience: I've been frequenting gyms for the past 20+ years. Some good, some bad, and some that are in between. This is the best commercial gym I've ever been a member of, and it's not even really close.

Fantastic experience: The gym is actually great and the staff are amazing. When I first came to sign up Jocelyn has helped me so easy and got me ready to go right there and than she gave me a tour showed me everything and also told me about the personal trainer. I started working out there like 1 month and a half I weigh 129 and already gained 11 pounds I’m trying to be at least by 155 by this summer, the equipment is all brand new it’s a great gym if your starting to work on your mental and physical health.

Fantastic experience: If you’re on the hunt for a chill quiet gym look no further. This is also the cleanest gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. Jocelyn works really hard to maintain everything and is so welcoming to all the guests. And so is Nate! Coolest trainer I’ve worked out with. They make you feel very welcomed. I truly love it here!

Fantastic experience: This gym is as good as it gets! Signing up was seamless and I received the warmest welcome from any gym ever from Jocelyn, who helped me schedule my fitness consultation and set up personal training sessions with Nate. Nate was a fantastic trainer. He really paid attention to my goals and helped me customize a personalized training routine. I highly recommend scheduling at least 4-5 sessions with him if you are a fitness amateur like I was. The 24/7 access was ideal for my schedule and even late in the evening (after staff were off the clock) I found the place incredibly clean and neat, with music and TV shows still playing. I have zero complaints and would recommend Onyx to literally anyone, any gender, age group, or fitness level. You guys are the best!

Fantastic experience: Jocelyn and Nate are amazing! They knew me after my first visit and always say hello. I signed up for a year membership and got personal training with Nate-- all for a great price! The environment is very friendly, and the gym is very clean.

Fantastic experience: Good quality local gym with flexible membership options and locations; I only use the North Olmsted facility. NO has free weights( 2 squat racks, 3 bench/shoulder press racks, and free weight rack) life fitness cable/pulley machines, and plenty of bikes, ellipticals, and treads. There’s also an open area with turf for doing kettlebell and band exercises. The gym has a good vibe with 2 great trainers, Jocelyn and Nate. Never too crowded but usually a few people working out. Good atmosphere for all levels of gym goers!

Fantastic experience: Nate and Jocelyn are so welcoming. They keep the gym very clean and organized. And they work with my crazy schedule! The group classes are so much fun. I drive all the way from Mayfield and it's definitely worth it.

It is always clean, everything works perfectly and you are in a safe environment as well with a key fob to get in. Jocelyn and Nate are incredible and never try to sell you anything, they just let you work out and know that they are there for you if you need help. It is truly family there, and I've already made several friends. Perhaps the best part of all, it fits my crazy schedule perfectly! No matter what time a game is that I have to cover, or my day job has me running, I know when everything settles, the gym will be open 24/7 to get a workout in. I'll give this location 5 out of 5 stars, and quite frankly, I'd give them 50 out of 50 if that was an option too! Fantastic experience: Alyssa welcomed my brother and I into this gym. I personally am use to bigger gyms and at first was a little taken back but it did not last long at all.
