Fantastic experience: Codie and Heather and other instructors are outstanding. In the true spirit of Bruce Lee they teach what works, not forms and katas. The atmosphere is great; positive and encouraging, and as intense as you want to make it. Specific seminars are WELL worth it. Their Knife Defense gives you real knowledge that can save your life. I cannot recommend Defiance enough. I wish that I lived next door.

Fantastic experience: I have so many positives about Heather and her team. My oldest son has struggled being verbal outside of our home, he has severe anxiety and my middle son has been bullied on and off since kindergarten and my daughter, I want her to have the foundations that MMA instills. Within 2 1/2 weeks, my boys have both become more confident, my oldest is slowly coming out of his shell more and he’s thrilled to have a sport he enjoys. My daughter is absolutely loving the classes too. I love that Heather and her team are attentive to everyone and they help when and where it’s needed. I can’t wait to see how much my kids progress over the years.

Fantastic experience: I did tons of research before choosing Defiance Combat Center to enroll myself and my child to learn self defense. I didn't just want to learn an art form, I wanted us to be capable on the streets. The instructor has instilled confidence in me that this is exactly the place we wanna be. Heather is seriously so fantastic and educated in what she does. She and her spouse are a power couple! Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I am a mma fighter and I like to travel to open Matt at gyms and i showed up on Saturday , I was welcomed into a warm environment, everyone greated me and introduced themselves and made me feel welcome, the people there where nothing short of amazing, we got some good rounds in and I learned a lot Stop in and let them show you why this gym is top notch you won't regret it!!! I have a few years of jiujitsu experience and I wanted to learn additional skills. There is a large youth presence. It’s also a safe place for women and girls to develop important skills as well.

Fantastic experience: The real-world application of what is taught here is definitely worth every penny spent. I’m 5’ 3” and had to defend myself against a homeless man who was nearly a foot taller and at least 20lbs heavier yesterday. I’ve been going here for over a year sporadically due to my schedule. I don’t know a lot more than just the basics, but I knew more than my attacker did and that made all the difference. I have scrapes and bruises, but I’m alive and walking, which is definitely more than most women hope for when they’re attacked on a trail. On top of the application of what is taught, the instructors are knowledgeable and the owners themselves are hands on in training. Friendly folks who I genuinely like and look forward to seeing when I go there. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: My son just started a week ago and really loves it the Instructor’s are amazing with all the kids teaching them different techniques that will help them in life not just self defense but discipline and self control to, its a great place to learn the atmosphere feels great to be in. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. Heather and Brody are always so patient and willing to help. The other staff is amazing too. While you’re at the dojo, you know you’re safe because the instructors will protect you. Coming her is also a great way to get in shape. I always feel so good (both physically and mentally) after a dojo session. Being able to learn martial arts has helped me feel more confident about myself as a whole. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Codie Braegger for six months now and there hasn't been a day in his class that I haven't learned something new. He doesn't just teach the how, he teaches the why and the when (or, equally as important, the when NOT). He brings real life experiences to the classroom and is able to relate what we're doing to fundamental behaviors we may see in combat. I started as an absolute beginner, I've never hit or been hit in my 40 years of life, and now I feel enough confidence in my basic instincts that I could handle myself in a fight.

Negative experience: Would be careful. They will scam u out of hundreds of dollars if your child stops going. Charged 2 months for my child not attending the class. Due to not having finances due to losing my job. But when u tell them. They don't care about your financial issues. They just want there money and nothing else. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND!

Fantastic experience: My five year old son has just started attending. Upon introduction to Heather and Blake I immediately felt and knew positive energy. I would love to take classes myself. This gym and the programs are definitely from love, heart, passion and desire to teach. I am very grateful for the owners. I started when I was seven years old, and the effects that the discipline and skill learning, and not to mention the ability to empty energy/emotion has taken an incredible impact on who I am as person. I earned my black belt from these guys this last February, and as a large watermark on my life that is, I’m proud to say that I regret no moment or dollar spent here training and meeting people. Unfortunately, a lot of people will burn out. Everybody I knew from my younger days has come and gone and I myself have fluctuated as well, but if you keep at it and find something you love about it, it will further benefit every aspect of your life. 100% guaranteed.

His attitude outside of class has improved too! The skills he is learning in class he is able to use outside, it’s more than just learning Martian arts moves, the teachers are teaching them tricky strangers and how to get peoples attention when they need help.
