New Town Fitness

Positive experience: I wanted so bad to be able to give this place 5 stars as we love New Town, but the gym is pretty frustrating and it is obvious that it is somewhat of a second thought to whoever runs it. Joined a few months ago and have gone 3-4 times a week ever since. The gym has a decent selection of equipment and free weights, but there are certain things that are just off. Machines like ellipticals will be broken for weeks, fans are broken, TVs are broken, certain free weights are missing. The owners need to take some pride it in. Also note, there is a strange 18+ age limit. No reason that 13+ shouldn't be able to join if they're with a parent.

Negative experience: Everything in New Town is wonderful but I was shocked their gym was below par. The weight machines were old and had duct tape on them. On top of that, there was no hand soap and you could tell the machines are not cleaned often. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Positive experience: Smaller gym so it is lagging some important equipment. Some of the machinery seems redundant could have a better setup. One decent cable(aka pulley or crossover) machine would be a game changer opening up every lift possible. But I will say it's never too busy. Generally speaking it stays clean and well kept. All of the people I have met been courteous, polite and very gym etiquette knowledgeable. Most importantly to me is location location location. Great spot!
