Positive experience: What the policy about excessive loud noise in the gym?. A small nguy who trains in the morning always is screaming after every rep and likes to drop the weights very aggressive.

We want the gym to be a comfortable environment for everyone, and excessive noise or aggressive weight dropping is not permitted under our club etiquette policy. Positive experience: I really enjoy working out here however what is the animal policy? There is a lady who brings her dog and yesterday had let it out and was walking it in between the treadmills. Thought it was a bit odd as it dosen't appear to be a service animal.

Fantastic experience: Signed up this morning. The manager is extremely nice and helpful. Best customer service I have experienced in St. Charles. The employee he was training was also very nice. And, the gym is very nice and clean with a great selection of equipment, including hydro massage loungers.

Negative experience: Everytime I call no one answers the phone. Why is there a phone number listed? I would just drive up there but I'm homeless with no car. And my life has been destroyed by spiritual/timeline warfare since 10/04/2024. So I would appreciate a gym membership. Either answer the phone or don't have one.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely Amazing! I just had my first workout with Phil, and it was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, he made me feel comfortable and excited about getting started. The session was challenging but completely manageable, thanks to his personalized approach and constant encouragement. Phil's energy is infectious, and he really knows how to push you just the right amount while making sure you're doing everything safely and correctly. Negative experience: I joined Club Fitness on February 13, 2024, and attended regularly until I needed to cancel my membership on July 16, 2024, after losing my job. I canceled using the kiosk but never received any confirmation email. Since there were no staff available to assist, I assumed the cancellation went through. However, I recently discovered that I was still being charged monthly from July to October, even though I haven't stepped foot in the gym since July. Club Fitness tracks check-ins, so they should be able to see that I haven’t accessed the facility. It’s incredibly frustrating to be charged for months due to a failure in their system.

Negative experience: This is the worst location for this gym. Door access never works, no tanning, no sauna, crappy old equipment, and smells terrible.

Negative experience: Here now and there are only 3 mats in the whole gym! I just asked staff and the 3 workers agreed that are powerless to help. Club Fittness has no way of reporting anything to corporate. They have an app so they should just build in a customer support service. Telling workers you have a problem with themselves doesn't get anywhere. Please open a corporate communication channel! This has been needed for many years. Gave 2 stars because the club has potential if they just fix the communication and lack of equipment.

Negative experience: Hey, my name is Joseph Stevenson. I joined this gym because I was in the area for my job; then I had to up and leave. First, I came in to cancel my subscription and it never happen. All this happen in February of 2024. Then I drove 2 hours to explain to everyone I'm getting charged and I don't live here. That was the second time overall. Now it’s June and I'm still getting charged. The gym is horribly managed and I will be back down for you all to hear this. Also, they don't have no phone to contact anyone during an emergency. Take your money somewhere else, nicer gyms around. Thank me later! Horrible Service! Over $100+ extra they are charging me! You don't treat someone like this!

Positive experience: This location feels neglected in comparison to the others. It sucks that this is the most convenient location for me, because I wouldn’t come here otherwise. This gym doesn’t have all the amenities that all the other clubs have, and they still have some outdated equipment, yet I was still forced into upgrading my membership because they took away the 24 hours with my old membership.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly service. Reasonable price and clean. Really exceeds my expectations
Negative experience: decent equipment, friendly staff, and insane management. Once AGAIN they are increasing the price of membership and removing benefits from each tier and moving it up to the next. To the point the platinum membership has 11 more things then the next lowest, and that one only has one more benefit then the next. That being 24 hour access. The 24 hour access to all the gyms use to be in the basic membership that was around 20$ a month, all of those benefits have been removed and locked behind the most expensive membership. All without notifying me that they where doing that and that I had lost all of those benefits and was still paying the same price. Plus they moved to an awful barcode system that forces you to use their godawful app that they are now making a second one?!?! Everyone hates it how tonedeaf can you be. The only reason they can get away with this is because there aren’t any real competitors in the area. As soon as another gym opens within reasonable distance of me you can bet I’ll be dropping my membership as soon as I can. Btw there’s no guest pass either.

Negative experience: The worst gym etiquette I've ever seen. People don't re-rack the weights, people play their music w/o headphones or facetime while occupying equipment. Hate going here.
Positive experience: This used to be my gym 2013-2015 until I moved into St. Louis County. This weekend I visited again while my husband was at the convention center. The remodel is very nice and I like the layout better with the stretch area and powelifting section. I'd definitely visit again when out this way.
Negative experience: Equipment always broken. Bathroom is always a disaster. If you go during busy hours the gym is already packed and you have to navigate through an ocean of tripods set up everywhere of people recording themselves.

Negative experience: The new pricing is ridiculous and you know it. I would literally quit if there were any other options. Straight up taking advantage of people with the new pricing and lack of benefits to the member.
Fantastic experience: When I go to club futness I like to stay a while. They have plenty equipment for pre-stretching, strengthening, and cardio. The massage table and light therapy are a new highlight for me. It's very homy with friendly help.

Negative experience: Every night the music skips constantly for hours, and it is so loud I hear it over my own headphones. It's like a scratched up cd grating into my skull the entire work out. I've told staff before when I joined ages ago and it still continues to this day
Fantastic experience: The gym is very large encompassing two storefronts. They have free weights, exercise machines, exercise workout classes and personalized training. There are plenty of treadmills. They are a bit dated. Some of them are broken, but not that many. If you need exercise then you are good to go here. The place is busy but manageable.

Negative experience: Finally putting in water bottle fountain, stair steppers are old and the one “newer” machine has been broke for weeks. The other “newer” machine stops randomly during a workout and then continues. Please invest in your equipment. 2 month update: still have non functioning cardio equipment.

Negative experience: Buyer beware! We tried to cancel our membership and they charged us after the fact, then we had to dispute the charges with the bank because these people break the law AND the contract! They steal your money and won’t let you cancel!! Whatever you do, don’t give them your money. They are thieves and cheaters. But we are reporting them to the BBB and the Attorney General, so I hope they have fun with the lawyers! Hahaha.
Negative experience: Signed an annual contract. 3 years later I'm still getting charged. That's not an annual contract. Called to cancel, automatic recording said you have to MAIL a letter to cancel. Clearly this place is designed around scams and false advertising. Don't go here.

Negative experience: Staff is great, club is nice however when you pay dues annual the cost goes up over $150/ current year and expected to pay enrollment fees again. Can’t speak with anyone when you call, app and website treat you like new customer asking for fees. I understand cost of everything is going up and will pay more however corporates decision to force app and website for all renewals is costing longtime customers unnecessary fees on top of increasing dues.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 5 months, and I really like this place. It is clean and machinery is serviced well. Also there is good lighting and a helpful staff. There may be cheaper places around, but I feel this place is worth a little extra. Most of the time you can find equipment available, even at peak times.
Negative experience: You call the number to cancel membership, there option '2' to cancel the membership doesn't work. There is no option to cancel the membership. I am going to have to call my bank. This is a gym membership scam 101. Make it impossible to cancel membership.
Negative experience: I have been coming here for years due to the convenience of the location, but it is absolutely not my favorite gym at all. They KEEP bothering the memberships (prices as well as amenities), the building his one of each of the popular machines; I have NEVER seen the staff sanitizing the floors, bathroom, and rarely do so with the equipment they're almost always just standing around talking to one another; The music is extremely loud and drowns out your headphones; The massage tables are under fluorescent lighting shining directly in your face right on the workout floor (whose idea was THAT?!). It's not worth it anymore.

Fantastic experience: Solid chain. Staff was welcoming and friendly and gave me a tour of the place. It wasn’t crowded and there’s plenty of equipment. The functional training area is a plus for me.
Negative experience: I wish I could say I like this gym because their equipment is fantastic but the quality of service they provide to customers is extremely subpar. Every morning (m-f) I go in and the radio is completely broken, skipping and providing a very frustrating environment with which to exercise in. We all struggle to get into the building from time to time because of how bad the scanner is at recognizing anything to open the door. I would find things like this to be standard mistakes if it weren't for the fact that they're already bragging about adding additional new equipment before they get the first things working correctly.I will be canceling my membership to see what else is out there as this is my first gym.

Negative experience: Club Fitness Group X the classes have done it yet again. I honestly feel that the corporate office has no care for the members that take the CLASSES. During covid they made DUMB Changes by letting go the good instructors. They kept a few mediocre and some great instructors. The best ones in my opinion (and a few others) are gone, Jacqui M and Cindy H, they loved teaching and would get your body in shape. Now another one is gone on Saturdays. Now, no more good Zumba classes in St. Peter's or St. Charles. You will have to travel to Florissant. Ericka was GOOOOD! High energy, hip hop, fun, for sure a sweat, and encouraging. I just dont get the new management in their non-thinking.....I have heard its the old Gold's gym mgmt running the programs. Where are Gold's gym in STL, so enough said! These instuctors teach for their health and the connections they build with the members, they dont get paid for what some of them are worth and they just go ahead and cancel there classes or decide to lay them off. Negative experience: Check out my account first. In all the years I've had this account I have never given something a 1 star review. For context, I signed up for the 1 year contract. A few months ago I knew I didn't want the contract to renew. I went into the facility, because you can't cancel online or over the phone. I asked to not auto renew my contract after the year was up. -- I was told that the manager would cancel the auto renewal. To clarify, I did not ask to cancel, because then you have to pay fees and all that jazz. -- Just to not auto renew my membership at the end of the year. Fast forward a few months to now. Not only did my contract renew at the higher price, when I sent an email, this is the response I received: "We apologize for the miscommunication, however we do not have an option to cancel the autorenewal. You would need to place a cancellation submission if you did not want the membership to continue" From their billing FAQ: "Agreement prior to the minimum installment payment term being fulfilled, you will be required pay a one-time early termination fee" So your options are to pay cancellation fees, or auto renew your membership. lol When I pointed this out, this is the response I received: "If you would have cancelled after 11th payment then you would have been billed one more time" lol I should of just known that the staff misinformed me, went in on the day of my 11th payment and asked to "cancel" instead of "stop the auto renewal".
Fantastic experience: On my first day, Amanda Canokaiser, was my personal trainer and she was very sweet and helped me learn everything about the gym. The gym is also very clean and the staff are nice.

Negative experience: The most important vital thing to a company is customer service... Club fitness for some reason thinks it's NOT IMPORTANT to provide customer service over the phone. I have questions that can't be answered by a website... And it's insulting for the company to make customers drive there and waste time and gas at $5 a gallon for a simple question.. it's ridiculous when they have staff members sitting at a front desk that supposed to be providing customer service.. I mean really is it that inconvenient for the staff to answer the phone and provide customer service we pay a monthly membership which should provide that ..everytime I walk in there the staff's at the desk on their cellphone. Go above and beyond for your company and customers ... it definitely paints a picture on what to expect for customer service in person ( the bare minimum of help, that's what to expect. Just imagin the ridiculous steps you have to take to cancel your membership they tell you to visit the website they don't even provide customer service to try to keep their customers.. go to planet fitness they don't just flash a hello with a smile they go above and beyond for the customers.. It's a lazy way of how they run things. To lazy to deal with people .. they just want a profit with out having to deal with the customers paying that pays their paycheck..

Negative experience: Don't bother getting 24hr access. They switched to a new system requiring you to install a spyware app on your phone to use a barcode that never works to access the 24hr door. I suggest installing once and take screenshot of barcose then uninstall the app so they're not collecting your data.

I opted out and went to the St. Charles location. All around better experience from the tour with the assistant manager to the package purchase! I bought the package with all access to any location but will make St. Charles my fitness destination every time.

Fantastic experience: I've had a lot of different memberships at different gyms over the years and this one is my favorite out of all of them. The staff is super friendly and nice and my personal trainer Phil is great. Phil is kickass and looks like a punk rock Khal Drogo with lots of experience in lifting. If you're looking for a trainer, ask for Phil! He's the best.

Negative experience: Super disrespectful to not close for at least a day or two out of respect for the life lost here and her family. Not returning to a gym where a manager has a stronger drive for money than empathy for community and life.
Positive experience: Great place to workout. However should have closed for the day when someone dies at your facility. Just out of respect for the family.
Negative experience: Went for a VIP pass with my ER wife. We walk in and a man has collapsed on the ground and the staff is running around and doesn’t seem at all prepared for that. She walks over to make sure he is okay and he’s responsive but you could tell they were not trained for this. Come to find out a woman had just died that morning and they didn’t even have the decency to close because it’s just all about profit. Terrible business ethics
Fantastic experience: Josh was super knowledgeable about the Club Equipment. Friendly and explained each area on our short tour. The Club appears to be really clean and is not loud, actually pretty inviting. As a new member, I will have an opportunity to engage one on one with a personal trainer. I look forward to getting started and logging my progress.
Fantastic experience: This isn’t my home location but I had a great experience here while I was passing through. They have good selection of equipment including some that aren’t available at some of the other locations I’ve visited.
Fantastic experience: Clean gym. Multiple TVs for viewing sports or other shows. Not overcrowded. Membership can be used in Missouri and Illinois locations.
