Fantastic experience: I am a member of 1440! What a great place for inspiration! Everyone there is encouraging and are your biggest supporters, if you're open to allow people in. I enjoy the classes: kettle bell and dance! The instructor is full of life and she will push you to your fullest potential physically! I also got a trainer (Jay Poole), great fitness trainer he pushed me to my fullest potential! It has been hard but rewarding! I encourange anyone looking for a trainer ask for JAY! But be prepared to become 2.0 of who you are now! It started with a visit and became a membership! Woo hoo! Let's get this work!
Positive experience: Here on layover from Dallas to Iceland. - Front crew: 0/10, no greet, not eye contact, no intro, no walk through. Might as well save money and put an AI touch-less scan in that can smile - Gym itself: Pump was solid, they had the machines, sad there was a no shirt rule, but I get it. Gym had a roof, if they didn’t I would have flown away on my bad day. Would love to see an outside section added. - Trainer Named Patrick: I wasn’t event getting trained, but this man took time out of his day to come greet me, shook my hand and smiled at me (from the handshake I knew he could bench 315). Him alone would make me come back.
Positive experience: A little on the pricier end but well worth it! Have yet to see anyone there just to make content . You’re basically getting ymca amenities, without the ymca price. You’re offered a full walkthrough and trial before you commit so there aren’t any surprises before you join. Environment is very diverse, you’ll see people of all ethnicities and ages! Staff are friendly and very helpful, they understand life happens and was happy to work with me. There are also personal trainers on staff that care about getting you set up for success (shout out to Patric!)
Fantastic experience: The staff at Fitness 1440 Nash are fantastic overall — trainers like OT and Patric are knowledgeable, professional, and excellent with clients. Unfortunately, my experience with one coach, Jay, was disappointing. He discourages new ideas, interprets collaboration as disobedience, and often speaks unprofessionally around clients, including minors. He tends to interrupt or dismiss ideas before hearing them fully, and often pretends to “know” what he’s talking about by claiming to be friends only with the biggest men in the gym. His approach crosses personal boundaries and fosters an uncomfortable environment for both trainers and members. While he often mentions his 36 years of experience, that longevity hasn’t translated into growth or meaningful client development. The gym itself has strong potential, but that potential is held back by his attitude and conduct. He has mentioned that he’s not religious, so I’ll pray this review reaches him in another way — helping him reflect, listen, and correct what’s truly wrong.

Negative experience: Please think carefully before subscribing to this gym. 1) They told me it was $22.90 a month, when it's actually every two weeks. 2) Two months after starting, they charge you $70 for potential machine repairs. 3) When you want to cancel, you have to pay $75. On the other hand, the gym is small, has no music, dirty walls, dirty floors, and old mats, all soaked with sweat. Honestly, I'm very disappointed with what happened to me. I don't recommend it at all.

Negative experience: Staff was nice but apparently super setting and one person using 3 pierces of equipment at the same time is a big thing here. First three machines I tried someone on the opposite side of the gym already using another machine is running over to tell me that they are using it. There’s not even a bag they left to let me know that it happened. So working out became impossible.

Negative experience: Come here if it’s a “worst case scenario” and you can’t make it to places like carbon, the YMCA, iron house Etc. The staff enforce 0 rules. Machines left completely full of weights. Dumbbells scattered across the floor. Front desk staff on phones not paying attention. Bathrooms reek of urine and poorly “cleaned”. Start fining or kicking people out for not re-racking weights. The gym could potentially be turned around if staff starts taking some initiative.

Negative experience: This people literally scammed me in order to cancel my membership by telling me i had to cancel in person when i was out of state for work, my balance was around $25 and was only gone for less than a month and by the time i came back to cancel my membership i was told i owed a balance of over $200 and that i shouldve called to cancel by phone...now im stuck with a high bill.

Positive experience: I appreciate having access to this gym, but I believe there are several areas that could really benefit from improvement. The facility feels quite outdated, and hygiene seems to be lacking—especially when it comes to cleaning equipment after workouts. The staff could be more professional and attentive to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Additionally, the swimming pool appears neglected, and I haven’t seen any regular cleaning or maintenance being done. Positive experience: Sauna is not 24/7 unfortunately it closes pretty early. A bit misleading when I was told the gym is 24/7 but it’s still good other than that.

Fantastic experience: I like the facility, especially that they have dance classes, water aerobics & daycare. The gym equipment is clean & modern. Most facilities don’t have all of the accommodations. The staff is nice, friendly & knowledgeable. I recommend this gym to anyone.

Negative experience: *1/5 stars* I appreciate the apology from Fitness 1440, but actions speak louder than words. Despite their promise to address issues, I still haven't received a call or email to resolve my concerns. I'm still being charged and want to cancel my membership. Until they take concrete actions to fix the problems and respond to my concerns, my trust can't be regained. Hopefully, they'll follow up with meaningful changes.

Negative experience: I signed up for a free trial since I recently moved here. The pictures on the website were the reason I signed up but once I got there, it was the complete opposite.. The machines looked fairly new but the pool area and locker rooms looked disgusting & very unsanitary. You can tell they need some maintenance.. I couldn’t stand being there longer than 10 minutes because of how gross it was. Anyways, I left since I had to leave town the following day. Once I came back, I went to cancel my membership & they told me I had to pay a $125 cancellation fee!!!! $125 is an INSANE cancellation fee especially with the fact that I never even worked out here nor used the membership at all because of how gross it was. The guy in the front said it was listed in the contract but when I looked back at the email copy of the contract I signed, NOTHING was listed there about a $125 cancellation fee. I didn’t make it a big deal to the guys that helped me out but I did request a call back from a manger & they let me know the manger would reach out within a week. Its been over 2 weeks and no one has reached out. All I can say is that I’m disappointed and TruFit is where its at fr!!! So if you’re looking for a local gym, do not come here, I promise TruFit will not disappoint!

Fantastic experience: All round it's pretty great. I'm early in my time here but they have everything I need. Lots of equipment and nice features to make you want to workout. People there seem positive and encouraging from a glance. A good place to get your exercise on!

Negative experience: Scam! I signed up for a free trial. I got an email saying my pass was waiting at the front desk. When I got there, a guy with glasses asked me to scan a QR code and fill in the details. I did all that and wanted to get in, but then he asked for my ID, which was from another state, and refused to let me in. I don't understand why he did that??? Why did I waste my time??? Why wasn't I warned anywhere that people with out of state IDs can't use the free trial???

Negative experience: Scam. Tried to get a 3 day trial pass and was told at the desk you need to purchase a membership and that I could buy a week pass for $50 and day pass for $20.
Negative experience: The workout area is very good and I rate that a 4. Some of the equipment was out of order. Otherwise a 5. But the wet area really needs updating. The sauna the showers and the steamroom, that whole area need to be gutted and refurbished. I was a member of this gym back in the day when it was the "Y". And the wet area haven't changed. The gym was clean and lots of different exercises maching full body work out machines, and the members were very nice they equipment are very up to date they have a swimming pool,hot tub & work out class classes & steamroom and a Sunaroom made just to relax after a good work out

Negative experience: Rude service at the front desk was hung up on twice by Kevon then he said I would have to pay a $75 cancellation fee because I moved and would need to send prof of my move! I have never I have I ever had to do that to cancel a gym membership sounds like a scam
Positive experience: First I want to say how much I’ve loved this gym but the last 3 mos I acquired an allergy to dust and dander, lol i literally produce histamine and it affects my breathing When in the vicinity, I was running today on the treadmill and the staff member was dusting the surrounds machines I asked her to not dust around me I’m sensitive to dust while running 6mph, a couple min later it was harder to breathe I turn around and she’s dusting behind me, now mind you I’m probably winded but I get off and ask her again to not dust around me and she basically doesn’t say anything and keeps dusting literally a ft from me looking me dead in my eyes…. Long story short I went to the counter to discuss the matter and apparently we have to work around the cleaning crew in situations like these and it doesn’t matter if we ask staff not to because it’s their job. I had to cut my workout short because my eyes already were red annd I already knew what was about to happen and by the time I got home I had itchy welps on my neck and chest. My reaction is NOT their problem, my request was ignored, and was asked to workout around the staff…
Positive experience: The pictures on the website look so nice haha and when I walked in , it looked nothing like it. But I understand you have to start somewhere . I enjoyed my time but the people at this gym have no gym etiquette . It’s so bad . I needed a machine and requested to use it after they were done . All they did is stand on the machine and talk for a whole hour. I was half way through my exercise and their friends took it after . This gym is not meant for more than 50 people . I didn’t even finish my 3 day trial. I’ve also heard horrible things about their memberships. This gym is not worth more than 15 bucks a month . Just go to Crunch.
Negative experience: I've notified staff and owner about the larger bench press down stairs being too close to the wall, There is not enough space to get behind it to spot people safely without walking on the padding and stepping over the bar. We are large guys and can't get back there. We were told that the bench would be moved out from the wall about 10 inches or but no changes have been made.

Negative experience: Unprofessional Experience While Cancelling My Membership I recently attempted to cancel my membership at 1440 and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The front desk employees were unprofessional, and seemed indifferent to my request. Rather than assisting me with the process, I was met with impatience and a lack of empathy. I understand that cancellations can sometimes be a hassle, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. Instead of providing clear instructions or offering any assistance, I felt dismissed and brushed off. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect, but unfortunately, that was not the case during this interaction. It’s disappointing to see that such behavior was coming from a staff that represents the gym. I hope they can improve their customer service to ensure others don’t have to go through a similarly frustrating experience.

Fantastic experience: this place offers a lot of nice things, like sauna, pool and classess, pretty much a lot of cool equipment, but the gym seems to be really outdated the theater room upstairs is really dark, some of the equipments like the treadmill and elepetical aren't working properly, I checked out the fit3d scanner but the tablet wasn't working. -Update I went back and the theater room was fixed I am satisfied that the management was quick to listening to complaints and addressing it.

Negative experience: Worst gym on the planet. Everything is broken and dirty. Staff has their heads down on their phone all day long and help with nothing. And they make canceling your membership as difficult as possible.
Fantastic experience: Being in Fitness 1440 is like being at home, I feel full and happy with all the equipment to change your body. This place both its staff employees are great
Fantastic experience: It was great especially the help i received from Judith! She has an amazing personality and was such a big help to me! I was really embarrassed and she made me feel so comfortable. There was also a gentleman by the name of Travis i believe that was a huge help in taking the time to explain things to me in detail. He was patient with an awesome petsonality just like Judith!
Fantastic experience: I had a Planet Fitness membership for a year and really did not enjoy the gyms. I saw the Instagram post showing the Fitness 1440 Nashville location, with great features and amenities I figured I would try it out. Enrolled online, went to the gym, downloaded app and I was in. The place looked good, ppl working out hard, and plenty of options for a good lift. Glad I signed up.
Fantastic experience: I visited Nashville for a local show. Trained here for a few days and Absolutely loved this place. It’s extremely clean and has everything you need. The staff it’s amazing super polite and helpful. Has sauna and all the equipment you need as a bodybuilder! 100% recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Positive experience: I have been a member for a very long time , I suggest to have more disinfectant bottles around the machines. Additionally the TVs Hear pods input won’t work in every machine. Thanks.
Fantastic experience: My “home” gym. Amazing staff! They are friendly and helpful and always welcoming. There is a ton of equipment already, and they are in the process of ordering and setting up more. Everything is clean and well maintained. There is a great culture in this gym, where everyone can feel comfortable, whether they are a serious bodybuilder, interested in group classes, or are just starting out. It’s a wonderfully diverse crowd and everyone is welcoming, friendly and supportive. The owners and managers are constantly focusing on improving the experience in the gym, and their dedication shows! I’ve been to just about every gym in Middle TN, and most all of them are great, but this is definitely where I prefer to spend my training time.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful trainers and good space to be in since the other people I've seen here are courteous and include a wide array of people young and old alike. Good selection of weights, machines, pool, Jacuzzi, sauna. Easy to access near interstate 24. My Trainer, Nicole has been a great encouragement to me in the pursuit of better nutrition, weight loss, and muscle development which is a challenge with my health history.
Fantastic experience: First experience there and I loved it not too crowded and if it is it’s okey because they have an upstairs and downstairs and both have access to upper and lower body equipment !

Fantastic experience: My experience was fantastic. Your staff was engaging, knowledgeable, fun, and pleasant to talk to. There was no heavy pressure. There was no attempt to upsell, just a very professional and informative approach, which made it easy for me to decide to join the gym. I believe the gym could use a little sprucing up; however, I wouldn’t say I like bougie gyms. I like them to be neat, organized, and clean. In my experience, people appreciate that locker rooms are kept up well and modern with abundant and easy-to-use lockers. As I indicated before, your staff is your greatest asset. Fantastic experience: Enjoyed the pool and hot tub today. Wish I had the funds to swim there everyday. Saltwater pool is a nice change from chlorinated water.
Negative experience: Beautiful facility! However, ShonRay is terrible. I did a Kettle bell class a few months ago with her & it was a horrible experience. She yells like a drill sergeant. Was all in my face & took my weights and threw them to the side saying the weights was too small. She kept yelling at me over & over. Literally targeting me out of everyone in the class. Smh. Then I finally left out & she laughed saying "HA HA HA" very loud on purpose so I could hear. Very petty & unprofessional. I'll never come back here.
Fantastic experience: We visited Nashville for a month and used this gym while we were there. It had everything we needed. I loved the classes I tried with Joanna and Rashonda. So friendly and very very fun. So many treadmills/cardio machines, tons of weight lifting stations. I appreciated that the news wasn't on the tvs all day long. Staff very friendly too.
Positive experience: Staff is really nice and the faculty is in good condition. However, the tanning bed is not working and evidently several other clients mentioned this, yet it was not marked and I was allowed to enter and find out for myself.
Positive experience: Staff is amazing! Manager is always inviting & very polite. Child care did have a woman that was mean to my child, but I know my child. Nevertheless great gym. I do want more glute machines!
Positive experience: A lot of padding on the machines are wearing out more and more each week. They have to be replaced. That would be a big plus for a gym that I've been going to for the last 4 years

Negative experience: WASTE OF MONEY! Don’t purchase a membership here. Half the amenities don’t even work every single week. The whirlpool/jacuzzi is out of order constantly, and when it’s not, the timer for the jets won’t even work. On top of that, fitness 1440 claims to be 24 hours but staff is not on site after 10pm; Therefore if something breaks down or you need anything, there is absolutely NO STAFF AVAILABLE ON SITE. What’s the point in paying a membership every month for a gym with faulty equipment and amenities along with staff that is unavailable/not present….?
I normally don't reply. But the hot tub you pointed out has only been down for maybe 5 days over the last year. We have a very good rating with the health department scoring in the mid to high 90's every month. If you would like to discuss your concerns please come in and we will do our best to accommodate your needs
Positive experience: Great price and location. Starting to get over crowded. Equipment with pulleys should be serviced. Compatible to Golds Gym.
Negative experience: My husband and I have been members here for over a year. We joined because they had decent reviews, “daycare”, and many amenities. However… the daycare is only available 3x a week at very odd hours. I liked their many pieces of equipment (theater exercise room, indoor pool, sauna, and regular equipment), but everything is DISGUSTING. The owner is super nice, though the staff has no idea what to do with themselves. You can find staff browsing Instagram, filing their nails or just shooting the sh!t with each other whilst ignoring their guests (and the conditions of the rooms). The facility needs a deep cleaning desperately. You’ll always find dirt, old used paper towels on the floor and rarely any cleaning bottles available here. Very disappointing. We decided to cancel after the year membership so we wouldn’t be charged a cancellation fee. But they still charge a 30 day cancellation fee, which is another month of membership!
Negative experience: We had started a membership and months later we had to move out of state due to family obligations and work. When we called to cancel the membership they said we needed to come in and provide proof of moving/sign a paper. So we went in and did so and we were told we are good to go. Come months later we realized that they are still charging us for part of the membership, we called to speak to the manager about this but he refused to deal with us and only coward behind his employees. They realized their mistake and fixed it but refused to give back the money they had wrongly taken. I honestly don’t care about the money, it’s more the fact that the manager cowards behind his employees and they never followed us to right their wrong.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming and motivating environment. Jay and Kai are incredible trainers who will push you to be your best self, and the community of people here is truly one of a kind. There’s MORE trainers, don’t come taking mine lol. I am grateful to have found this gym and can confidently say that it has changed my life for the better. This is me chillin cause I be feeling like I’m home.
Fantastic experience: It is an incredible place that offers you many things such as a swimming pool, childcare and dance classes. The place is modern and friendly. It also has all kinds of machines and trainers. My experience here has been wonderful and rewarding.
Negative experience: The clientele has gone down drastically in the last nine months. I’ve seen people naked in the sauna, the steam room, and wearing underwear in the pool and hot tubs. I’ve witnessed altercations occur between grabbing weights. 0 gym etiquette from 90% of business My business is going elsewhere. Edit- I believe management is not to blame, as they were always helpful considerate and polite to everyone
Positive experience: This facility was definitely much much better than the other one. It is much cleaner, nicer, and offers more amenities. Staffs were very helpful

Negative experience: To start off on a positive note: this facility was enjoyable to an extent. For the cost of monthly membership the equipment should definitely be better condition and quality. I also had issues entering the gym when staff was not present( they offer a 24/7 entry, as long as your barcode is valid ). The gym staff, not very helpful, it’s apparent they are there to get the paycheck not for the quality of service. I would recommend this facility for individuals seeking the next step up from planet fitness. I would not recommend this facility for the more advanced lifters and athletes. It also costs more to cancel your membership than it does to begin a membership. I paid a total of $160 just to cancel my membership, take into mind I didn’t use the facility for two months prior to cancellation. I explained this to the staff, yet they still extremely over charged me. My experience at Fitness 1440 was not a positive one and I will definitely not be returning anytime in the future. ✌️

Positive experience: Lots of amenities available here. The hot tub is the best amenity available for my arthritis and the pool for low impact aerobics. The showers could be hit with bleach more often but the sauna is really nice and hot.
Fantastic experience: Staff was friendly and got me signed up easily. Everyone who goes here seems respectful and cool. I feel that it is fair for the price too. Plenty of free weights, squat racks, deadlift areas, machines, and variety of other equipment. Has really been a great place for me so far. Everyone is different, but if you want a classic traditional gym that has all the equipment you could need, this is it.
Positive experience: Awesome front desk staff, free lemonade water and coffee during staffed hours, and awesome outdoor security during unstaffed hours. Lots equipment, but old. You can reserve personal training room and have the whole room to yourself!! The part I absolutely dislike is that the sauna is always disgusting. It seems to be cleaned every 2 weeks...the bathrooms too. Please do better at cleaning.....especially the sauna!!! I would most def give 5 stars if the sauna and bathrooms and sauna were cleaned on a regular basis, but they aren't.
Negative experience: I like everything except the steam sauna which doesn't work properly and my job is to paint cars and that's why I have to leave you if it doesn't work. Me and four of my friends are upset about this story and I hope you fix it because if it doesn't work we have to. Let's leave your club. We need a steam sauna to clean our respiratory tract. Fantastic experience: This is a real good gym, from how clean it is to how friendly the owner and the workers are. Would definitely choose going over here and paying that little extra then a 10 dollar gym. They will take care of you trust me.
Fantastic experience: Visiting from out of town and popped in this gym, staff member named Brittany really took care of me upon entry and while I came to this facility. The gym was clean, have top of the line workout machines. I would definitely recommend anyone going to Nashville and looking for a place to workout to head down to Fitness 1440 Nashville.
Fantastic experience: Great vibe gym with sufficient space for everyone to get their workout in. Staff are always kind and helpful when asked anything. These things combined with the affordability make this gym likely the best deal in this area of town.
Negative experience: I don't know where to start I watch this gym go down hell. They lost everything I don't think the owners are still motivated. There is no AC it's hot as a sauna inside the gym. The floors or equipment not clean at all. Most of the machines are outdated. It needs some serious work because the new gyms will steal all the business. The music the play 2 songs together one on top of the other so you don't know what's going on. The theater room is always say movie playing. I don't understand why lock up the boxing bag like someone going to eat it. Like I said the owners gave up.
Fantastic experience: Im a member of quite a few gyms around Nashville but 1440 is by far one of the better facilities! The staff is great but Oscar in particular is fantastic; keep up the good work my friend!
Fantastic experience: Mr. Jay is an excellent personal trainer! 10-10/ definitely recommend. He effectively guides you, (even if you’re new to working out) and you will see results! The gym is nice and a great place to reach fitness goals.
