Negative experience: This Gym is absolutely terrible. Dirty equipment. Greasy sweaty stains everywhere. The Manager here named Kyle O’ Brien Is very rude and arrogant. If you’re looking for a new gym to join DO NOT COME HERE!!
Ben, considering it's a newer gym, with new equipment, sorry your false review just is not accurate regarding dirty equipment and greasy stains. Sorry you feel the experience doesn't meet your expectations but we are happy so many love Fortify Fitness for it's new equipment, professional staff, cleanliness, results based programming and community feel. Negative experience: I canceled my membership in person in March 2022. I noticed I was charged for April and May and my bank refunded the money; however, I have received countless harassing phone calls from Eric Riley of ABC Fitness Solutions on behalf of Fortify regarding my membership.

Sorry we don't see this on your account and reason you are receiving calls because your account is past due and we want to help resolve the matter. Please contact us so we can help you. Negative experience: Since YouFit sold this location to Fortify, the gym has gone downhill. They removed TWO of the three large ceiling fans which helped keep users cool while running or lifting. They removed several machines that I enjoyed using. The attendants disappear from the desk area for large stretches of time, and people come into the gym without even scanning their membership cards. The staff and coaches are uneducated on machine and treadmill use, and I consistently see coaches giving incorrect instruction to elderly folks that could cause them injury. Music in the gym is frequently so loud that I cannot hear my own music through my earbuds. Im giving two stars because the gym is kept clean and the equipment is in good working order, and if you dont need any help, you can still have a good workout there. But this is the bare minimum that any gym should offer.

Negative experience: It truly is a shame to know integrity is no longer a priority. Do better Fortify!!! Lack of financial literacy, disregard for customer service and constant foul play !!!
Nicholle, sorry you felt the need to give us 1 star. We find it odd we don't have a record of your being a member. Please connect with Kyle, General Manager to review and I am sure your concern will be addressed. Our core values as a company are honesty and integrity with pricing and service so I can assure you we will resolve and satisfy your concerns. Your claims of "foul play" just doesn't exist and is not accurate at Fortify Fitness because everything we do for membership and training is in writing so there is no consumer deception. We are happy to help and clarity anything if there was a misunderstanding and make it right to make you happy.
Negative experience: Purchased about 30 gym trainings and did 21 out of 30 with Melvin & enjoyed it. Melvin unfortunately left the gym while I was undergoing surgery. I was on NO contract nor did I sign anything. When I reached out to Kyle about just refunding me the 9 sessions he went back and forth with me, told me although I didn’t sign any paperwork, I couldn't get a refund. I explained I physically could not do training due to medical reasons and Melvin was leaving. He explained to transition to different trainers. I tried to explain to him I was uncomfortable with other trainers because of things I noticed in the gym as well as some of them popping up randomly on my personal social media. I again asked for a refund, but he would not budge. He created many excuses and even excuses for his trainers even after I explained how uncomfortable I was. At the end of it, I told him he must need the money more since we are just going back and forth and at that point why would I even want to come back to the gym. Do not go here. They are a unfortunately unorganized, unprepared, and Kyle is unaware of payments with clients and will refuse any refunds. He couldn’t even print me the receipt. My understanding of signing up for the trainings that the trainer explained was that due to my personal circumstances I would be refunded because no contract was created. (Yes they have both contract and no contract offers) Anyways, I cancelled my gym membership but want to make future clients aware that they’re unaware of how their payments work, won’t print receipts and won’t give refunds. If you do go here make sure everything is extremely thorough on your side and show your own “receipts.”
Hello Michelle: Sorry you are frustrated and happy to help. I will look into this situation further based on your comments which seem odd and not our normal business practices at all. Our membership and personal training agreements all clearly state all the terms and we have members approve by signing off stating they agree. This is a standard business practice and we operate with honesty and integrity. It's easy to give you a copy of your agreement(s) and receipts. If there has been an error, we are happy to correct. We will be contacting you to review this situation and make it right because what you are detailing is not how we would normally operate. I appreicate you bringing this to our attention and hope you will give us the chance to make it right and reconsider your Google rating.

Negative experience: Been a member since 2010. I was there yesterday and Went in today. I was told I Owed $150 plus late fees because I didn’t update my credit card in September. I asked why I was not told this yesterday when I visited and they claimed I had not been there according to their records. I have a picture I was there, but was told I did not scan in even though I did. I also did give them my credit card when I went in in September. It never registered. I even tried to lower my membership to the lower level at that point and that didn’t take either apparently. I was told that my membership has been canceled and turned into collections. It’s March and I still haven’t been informed of the collections debt that was sent in December. I was told It’s not their practice to tell you when they cancel your membership because they have over 3000 members and cannot keep track of that, they just turn it into collections. Terrible practice for finance. I will not return and do not recommend. The person behind the counter was rude and said he can’t believe that his employees all know how to register a New card and there is no way that I had turned in a new one. I have been a long term member but will take my business to a place that can do better with financial record keeping and not turn me into collections without informing me.
Negative experience: I went in to cancel the account I had for my son since he hadn’t been in a year. They told me it would be almost 100 dollars due to the annual fee. I asked to speak to a manager and no one called me. I was charged almost 100 dollars so I called again and they said well there’s nothing we can do about the charge but you can come in and for 10 dollars we can close the account. Very disappointed and really hope they close down since obviously that’s where they get their money from all the excessive charges. Rip off!!! Not worth it at all!!!
Fantastic experience: Great environment I enjoy working out here. I do wish though that sadly someone would watch out for those who do not wipe down their equipment.
Negative experience: I don’t know where to begin. I started going to the gym last year, canceled my membership in July of 2021 was told I had to go in I explained that I couldn’t and that I had moved. Ashley said I could write a letter with my first and last name dated and signed and that would cancel my account. October 2021 comes I’m still being charged so I drove to the gym spoke to someone was told my account was never canceled and no notes were noted that I even wrote a letter or anything. So at that moment I was told it was canceled. I got check my account I’m still being charged now we’re in jan. of 2022. I’m now getting calls from their collection Agency saying that I owe them $80 and some change. At this point were in March of 2022 and I haven’t physically been in the gym this gym since I would say maybe May of last year 2021. Why am I still being charged!? I would never go here again.
Fantastic experience: Good gym. Busy enough but not so busy you can’t get a good work out in. Staff is helpful. Energy and protein drinks on site if you want one. Heads up…they actually close at 9pm on Friday but for some reason Google won’t change it.

Negative experience: When you call they make you go to and cancel your membership in person; not only that but they charge you $10 fee for cancel your membership! I felt ridiculous over to this, when they merge from You fit they still charged your account without even ask you that you never did a contract with the new merge company!!! Very upset and not good communication all of this should’ve been told over the phone that way you know what to spect once you go to cancel it!!!

Negative experience: Terms were not properly explained, was also charged multiple times for a service I did not ask for. I tried several times to get charges fixed to no avail. After all of this I asked to cancel membership only to be told that I have to pay a cancellation fee. You would think after not giving great service in the first place that they would be accommodating. Nope. I would not recommend this place to any one. Do not waste your time, money, or energy on this establishment.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Fortify Fitness/YouFit for around four years now. Everyone here is very professional and the environment that the gym creates is a very good one. If there is are suggestions I would make; however, is that they should have a hack squat machine and more fitness apparel available for sale.

Fantastic experience: I've been a long time fitness member of youfit. When the owner finally decided to change the name and give the whole club a new look I felt like I died and gone to heaven. Not only did the club change names but every piece of equipment is brand new from floor to ceiling. The staff is always professional and polite and the facility is always clean. If I had one suggestion to give to the club, that would be to have more fitness apparel available for purchase. T-shirts are okay but I really like my tank tops and I would wear them more often if they were available.
Positive experience: At first I thought it was cheaper than the others but after many fees, initial charges and so changed My mind. I understand their business is starting up. However, should it be more options for those fees to be voided or at least minimize it through out the membership stay.

Positive experience: Gym just changed over from You Fit; all new equipment distanced for safety; equipment kept clean and sanitized; customers also have option to utilize sanitizing spray provided by the gym; restrooms also kept clean and well maintained; helpful staff.
Fantastic experience: Great Club! It not massive like some of the others in the area, but very good equipment (all new) and easy to perform whatever type of strength, endurance/cardio/fitness routine you follow. This is a gym where serious people go to get in a ood workout versus a meat market where there's lots of standing around and half utilizing equipment and wasting time...which interupts the workouts of those serious. Been going here for a number of years (used to be You Fit) and plan to continue. Friendly staff as well and some good, certified trainers! Louis H

Negative experience: This company is run horribly. When quarantine was over they started charging my account even though I had not returned causing me overdraft fees in JULY! Now here we are in FEBRUARY and they charged my account again even though I canceled in JULY! I would never go here even with a free membership! They should pay me interest on the days it takes to return my money!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Update the owner who refuses to speak to me on the phone says I’m not leaving a review for Fortify Fitness..... well that’s who charged my account without authorization. My review stands this place is no good!!!

COVID19 was in March of 2020 and was a YouFit Club. Negative experience: Came here as a guest and i saw these two people who work at the gym going around and fishing for people to buy training sessions and it was so annoying how they were bothering me and others while we were working out. I was so aggravated! Im never.....coming back because i know their other employees that havent talk to me yet are gonna approach me while im working out and i want no part of that!!

Fantastic experience: The new Fortify gym is formally known as U-fit near Lowe’s. It has made vast improvements and a major overhaul I have gone to this gym for5 years and am very impressed with the changes. The staff and owner Dave are so helpful and nice.
