Negative experience: Terrible costumer service, haven't been in this gym in over a year, an employee a year ago told me I could cancel over the phone and told me it was done, got charged 100 dollars even though I moved out of state and haven't been in this gym since. Refuses to give any contact info for higher ups to get my money charged back so I can higher my movers.

Fantastic experience: I was in tampa/brandon area for a couples months and decided to join fitness for 10 for the time being. Pilar, Miguel, and Bryce are dedicated to maintaining their gym, always ensuring it’s spotless and welcoming. They take pride in cleaning every corner and organizing equipment. Their friendly, approachable attitudes create a positive, motivating environment for everyone. Making me feel right at home. 5 out of 5.

Negative experience: (The gym staff looked up my name is their database, called my phone in attempt to get me to sign up again and to change my review. They also tried to argue the logic behind having a 1/4 of the space but expecting your customers to pay the same ammount for a fraction of equipment and space. Which every gym rat knows space and equipment is what makes a gym a gym. If you have to wait for every single machine or even wait for a set of bells, you know the gym is too far gone and dont care about you. ) Still is massively overcrowded now that they downsized to a quarter of the original space, even with the wave of cancelations. It's very clear that they don't ever have plans on getting the gym back to original size. It's been downsized for almost a year now. Every time I've gone in, it's a battle for almost every single machine or dumbell. AND the price didn't go down whatsoever, smells super illegal and just downright WRONG to charge people the same amount for a quarter of the amenities and space. Doesn't matter how polite they calculate their responses to these reviews, take your money elsewhere!
Parker, it looks like you cancelled your membership with us quite a long time ago. Perhaps you are looking to rejoin a gym again now. We still believe that our Brandon fitness club is a great value, has plenty of equipment and amenities and is less crowded than most other clubs. We opened a second Florida location in Port Richey in 2024. We hope you give one of our clubs a try again in the future.

Hello Buptuk. It looks like you are saying that you might have been charged a higher amount than expected. As you know, with all gym memberships there are other fees besides the monthly membership dues. This could occur due to annual fees or late fees caused by past due payments. We would be happy to investigate this matter for you to make sure the billing is correct however we would need your customer information to do so. Positive experience: Okay gym; however, apparently, they had to downsize due to leasing issues. When you’re walking towards the building, you can notice the empty space that is no longer used. So now the size of the gym is comparable to that of an apartment gym. The gym doesn’t really get crowded, which is good. However, it doesn’t take away the fact that the gym is kind of small. The customer service is good. Xander, the one who signed me up, always has a cheerful personality at the front desk. If you ask, the team members are willing to show you how to use the equipment, which is good if you are new to resistance training so you don’t hurt yourself. If you’re looking for something communal with classes, large with a plentiful amount of equipment and amenities like Crunch Fitness or L.A Fitness, this gym is not it. You're probably better off joining the local YMCA. However, this is a good affordable gym for what it is.

We would like to add that our club has Hammer Strength, Precor and Life Fitness equipment that most apartment gyms probably won't have with a variety of machines and free weights to hit every muscle group with higher load limits, and we do think our fitness club is still larger than most apartment gyms. We believe we have everything that you will need to get a great workout here + find a fitness family and staff that are helpful, friendly and welcoming. Hoping you found your new home with us.
Negative experience: Gym is small so it can be good or bad, I do have a problem with the the white radicals who talk about getting rid the 1 percent and saying the n word in the middle of them gym but other then that it’s cool. It’s 24 hours if you pay extra though so it can be a plus

Negative experience: Cut the gym down to a third of the size and made rules stricter.. and gave tours of the full gym even when they knew they were closing the larger part. Also old man at front desk is always grumpy.

Fantastic experience: I know the transition has been difficult lately... but this gym and the employees are trying their best to accommodate everyone. It was the staff and environment that made me join this gym, that has not changed! It is a great lifters gym, and it has a great vibe and energy all around. The machines work properly, and the attendees are friendly. I truly feel a part of this family and I hope to stay as long as I can!

Fantastic experience: This is a family oriented gym with nice owners, people and vibe. I love the space and I enjoy coming here and working out. I love the recent changes because it allows me more interaction with like-minded fitness fanatics. There is plenty of equipment that allows me to complete my workouts without having to wait. If you are a gym rat this is the place for you.

Fantastic experience: Good way to start my day. I have been coming since August. The members and staff are very friendly and helpful. I come 3 to 4 days a week. Working out has really helped with my back pain.

Positive experience: Been going here for years now but recently they downsize the gym to put everything on the 24hr side and close the bigger side. So everything is jammed on the 24hr side. I hope the figure it out and move the equipment around because their going to lose people...

Negative experience: Edit: A year after we cancelled our membership they started to charge us again. Shady business with illegal business tactics. Avoid at all cost We scheduled to cancel our membership 3 months in advance because we were moving. Come that month after we had cancelled they charged us again, stated we never cancelled and would have to pay two more months and cancel by email that day rather than in person. Shady business ethics and all around disappointing end to an otherwise decent gym membership

When they made the transition into one gym I was very skeptical to keep my membership but I must say Ron runs this gym so well I’m not leaving. Negative experience: Before this gym was amazing as a different review mentioned. And as the other review mentioned, drastic changes were made. They closed down one side of the gym, and keeping the smaller side, i don’t know the logic on that. An email was sent out but it only mentioned that basically bigger and better things will be coming, don’t mind the construction. But they definitely did not do bigger and better things, matter fact it’s the complete opposite. It literally feel like an apartment complex gym. DO NOT recommend going.

Fantastic experience: A lot of variety in weight lifting machines. Good space to work out and never packed to the point you can't train. Lots of cardio equipment and spin bikes. Tanning both and posing area.

Fantastic experience: This gym is a hidden gem. Best $10 gym in the Tampa area. Actually it is the best gym in the Tampa area. I used to train at Powerhouse when it was downtown and that was the best atmosphere. The one the moved to after it closed on hillborough isnt the same. They got rid of most of good equipment life fitness and replaced with matrix garbage. This gym has all life fitness which IMO is the best equipment ever made. Besides those fancy gyms where you have prime or panterra or other fancy equipment. For 10$ and 24/7 access this gym is like hitting the lotto after living under a bridge

Even have some of the newer style handles for the cable machines. Plenty of cardio equipment. The 24/7 access to the free weight side is a huge benefit. Staff is always professional. Fantastic experience: I was looking for a gym close to my friend's place so she could exercise regularly. We were received by a lovely lady named Pilar (sorry if I spelled your name wrong). She promptly got our memberships taken care of, even offering the option to hold our IDs and complete our documentation while we worked out. The facility has great equipment, 24hr access to its members, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend

Negative experience: Terrible gym. Received a notice five years later indicating I still owed money on an account and I clearly remember closing and paying everything. I remember even requesting a letter showing that it was paid off but then five years later who would save that kind of info. I purged that information. I will remember to save it just for them when they try to come back five years from now. Very unprofessional, maybe hire an accounts receivables company so they can do the paperwork properly. Save your money and go to EOS fitness. Response to owner- I did rectify the problem at the time, and if there was an outstanding balance, I never was contacted or received a bill. Unfortunately, several years later (5 years!) and what appears to be added late fees I am dealing with this issue. Again very unprofessional.
Hello Maria. We see you had a membership, closed it properly, 5 months later opened another membership, then stopped paying for the new membership and did not close the second one. Our billing company made several attempts to contact you. We appreciate you rectifying this matter.
Negative experience: I went in and asked to close my account with this establishment and paid the fee required to close early. They then re-opened the account and put it in collections. Stay away. I will be seeing them in court. I am only getting this notice almost 6 years later.

Fantastic experience: I put all 5 stars so it could show up but the only good thing about this place were the equipment. Front desk service was bad. When I first started my membership I clearly stated I did not want any money withdrawn from my card. Lady said I could come in and pay it but she never told me it was automatically taken from the card for everybody. A lot of miscommunication from them. Their policy, which they did not explain well at the beginning, SUCKS! Even after you cancel membership they still charge you for two more months. When I came in for them to explain to me what they did not explain when they need it to, they were rude and they didn't even have a record of the money I had already payed which was the money I was been charged again. I do not recommend anyone coming to the place unless you really want to waste $20 every month!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Not crowded and lots of equipment. I hired a trainer Angelique Costa and she is amazing! Pushes me to complete my sets, and always shows me proper form. She knows what I want and helps me focus on my problem areas. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: It’s a large gym but has a family feel to it. The owners and staff are personable and have been cheerleaders and advisors since I joined, which has given me the support I have never gotten at any other gym. Shout out to Bryce, Jason, Gab, Donna and her husband, cleaning team and tall guy at the front desk (can’t remember his name). I’ve joined many gyms and never knew the staff by name. I was just a person swiping and entering. No one cared. At Fitness for $10 in Brandon, it’s like Cheers “where everybody knows your name.”

Negative experience: Did enjoy my work outs for the time I was there. I canceled my membership however kept getting charged. Ending up to the amount of $160. They fraud you off your money.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely a hidden gem (gym) in Brandon. Clean with more equipment than one could use, plenty of space and not over crowded. No one sucking down space on equipment as the text. I have visited or been a guess in almost every gym in Hillsborough County over the past six years and this is by far the best equipped for the $$ with a great layout. The only improvement I see is they need to build out a new deadlift platform but without it there is still plenty of space to get it in. Oh yeah the music piped throughout the gym in a great selection well. Nice to have something other than the Top40 for the day.

Positive experience: Staff is friendly. The facility is clean. Three stars because I got finessed. I went into the facility, in a rush, and requested the price for just one month as I was visiting the area. The options I was presented were $56 and $86. I went with $86 because I was permitted to use the facility 24/7. Spoke with some friends a few days later and they informed me they are only paying $8-11/month. I should of inquired about the price; lesson learned.
Hello Sheldon. If you are only looking for a short-term membership (one month only and no more than that) then you purchased the correct thing. If you were looking for an ongoing month-to-month membership that continues automatically billing beyond one month then it is a much better value and is probably what your friends have. Talk to the front desk about what kind of membership you are looking for. We can convert your account over to the other kind if that is what you desire and most likely apply any monies you have already paid toward the conversion. Fantastic experience: Best bang-for-buck gym. Affordable, never too busy, has the full variety of equipment, large enough, and is very clean. Solid place for gym rats, newbies, and all levels in-between. Hope they install that Hip-Thrust machine soon!

Negative experience: This gym used to be great 10 years ago, but it truly has fallen from grace with damaged and Ill maintained equipment, lack luster customer service and management who really can't be bothered with you. The owners, aside from their hired management, are nice enough, but they are only aware of what's goiog on so long as you personally escalate the situation beyond the manager they hired to run the gym. I, personally, can put up with alot and let alot of things slide..Regardless, the lack of interest, professionalism and especially *integrity* is ultimately a total deal breaker and a reflection of the owners at the end of the day. "You're only as good as your best player" (management included).

Negative experience: I had The WORST AND MOST horrible experience at that gym, its harder to get out of that GYM MEMBERSHIP THAN TO GET A DIVORCE. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!! the people who work there are super deceiving and not trustworthy they will ask for your credit card info and just take out your money! I wrote a cancellation letter in February , - hand delivered to the Brandon location, as well as emailed to main cancelation letter- they continued to charge the membership to my bank account (which I recently discovered). I emailed head office and they claim they never recieved the letter - I attached a copy to the email, the person who replied said they couldn't see the photo of the letter, so I scanned and attached- i was then told that they lost the letter or that I have to prove it was sent- what part of hand delivered can be proven, what a bunch of incompetence! They are also refusing to reimburse me - what a bunch of shady crooks. I told them I would seek legal action against them as well as report them to the BBB - I never received a reply.
We received an email from you on April 15, 2022 requesting to begin the cancellation process, however your account was already past due several months at that time. We emailed you back the same day advising that you needed to pay your past due balance in order to cancel, but we did not hear from you again until now. We have never received any February correspondence by any means. We have also never received any requests for reimbursement, however no reimbursement is due to you as your account has been past due for quite some time and there are outstanding unpaid invoices.
Fantastic experience: LOVE THIS GYM....Pilar and Miguel are two of the best people. Gym has tons of equipment and i never have to wait.

Negative experience: This gym has the most beat up and borderline unusable equipment I have ever seen. Little to nothing is done to fix or replace things. Even their name fitness for 10 is misleading considering they charge an annual fee that once you add it to the monthly rate makes the price comparable with any other commercial gym out there with better equipment.
We were unable to locate your name in our membership database however your feedback is important to us. We have hundreds of pieces of equipment and are constantly performing preventative maintenance and repairs. Covid has created supply chain shortages in many industries and the fitness industry is no different, however we always strive to act as quickly as possible to keep everything in good working order for our valued customers. Keeping our equipment in good working order is one of our priorities. You are correct that all fitness clubs do have annual fees. If there is a specific piece of equipment that you have a question or concern about please email us at [email protected]. Owners are also on site on a regular basis and are always available to discuss any concerns you may have.
Negative experience: March 2021: It’s a decent size gym not too big. It’s usually not too busy. No one to help you around though if you’re new at exercising and they don’t call back either from my experience when I did ask for help. The staff is not the friendliest. Not necessarily rude either. Definitely not my best gym experience. If I didn’t already sign up, I think I would’ve opted for somewhere else but oh well. The equipment are also quite dated and a lot of them don’t work properly. Update 2022: The staff at this gym is just awful. They are rude, impatient, unprofessional and indifferent to what is going on around the gym. Their cancellation policy suck equally as much. It doesn’t make any sense to require a 60 day cancellation notice on a month to month contract. Idk how they keep customers that gym with that attitude

Negative experience: I had put my membership on hold because I travel and upon return have canceled my membership, it has been almost a year since I've been there and they have continued to charge me my membership and the annual fee of like $80, and when I call no one answers the phone. I had been a member there for years and it's disappointing that they do this charge people wh

Positive experience: Its the cheaper, less attractive gym in town if your on a budget, but they have weights and a locker room. I used to go here but certainly prefer newer/modern facilities with professionals as staff (LA, crunch, even anytime fitness). You can save money but if youre investing your time you should do it wisely.

Negative experience: The worst place I joined then few months later when COVID came we moved back to jersey now collection company after me for 50.00 how sad I even call and told them so be ware can’t believe they send collectin company after me for 56.00 that they say I owe would never go there

Positive experience: Yea it's 10$ after you pay for all the fee's and you better have that 10$ every month or else kiss your credit goodbye.
Negative experience: Criminals. Followed cancellation procedures before moving in 2017 turning in written notice at the store. It was not filed and they subsequently charged my card for the next 3.5 years. When I reached out they said they would cancel my membership and did not attempt to do so for three months.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of multiple gyms in the surrounding area and Tampa, and this is by far the best gym. It is extremely affordable, plenty of equipment, friendly, respectful members, and very clean. The way they have handled and continue to handle cleanliness during the pandemic makes me 100% comfortable in continuing to come in daily. They have also added a new area that offers a red light therapy room, infrared sauna, and an excellent massage therapist available by appointment. I have never been able to find all of this in one gym before. Many times I have paid for an additional membership at another gym just to use the sauna. It is also private, the sauna and red light therapy is for single person use and cleaned every time. The owners Ron and Dawn are very attentive to members' needs, take the time to get to know them, and listen to any concerns they may have. I have been at this gym for almost 8 years and it continues to exceed my expectations since Ron and Dawn have taken it over.

Positive experience: The staff is super friendly. When I go, it feels like people are there to actually work out. No one is standing around taking selfies for the Gram...it’s not a fashion show to display your latest Nike gear...nor does it have that “meat market” vibe. It’s the perfect place to go and have an hour or so of self care without distraction.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! Hands down the best in the area. Members range from newbies to competitors in a judgement free highly motivating atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the gym is always clean. They now offer red light therapy and a infrared sauna. Ok No need to go elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym and it’s owners/staff. The gym is affordable and they always work with you. There is every piece of equipment you could think of and they added new red light therapy and sauna booths. Negative experience: If I could give it a zero I would. This place makes me never want a gym membership again. I get anxiety just thinking about gyms now. I just wanted a by month plan and by mistake I got a year plan. Its my fault Ik but now Im stuck in a contract they wont cancel and I cant afford my bills.
We offer both types if membership contracts and sometimes have amazing deals. You enrolled in our great offer to get 3 months free with a 12 month commitment. Payments were required after 3 months of free membership. We also offered additional options to help with your situation to reduce the balance owed.

Negative experience: This gym is very dirty and unsanitary. It smells like an old wrestling room. I would not recommend it to anyone. They are also very sneaky when it comes to cancelling your membership and will charge you a yearly fee even after you cancel. Avoid at all cost!

As you know, we take cleaning and sanitizing very seriously here and we pride ourselves on having one of the cleanest fitness clubs around.

Negative experience: Seems my complaint is the same as others. I asked my annual fee be refunded and membership canceled, we are in a pandemic and in one of the most saturated hot spots in the country. Didn’t ask for last three months that I paid. Was offered $13 out of $43. Apparently $33 dollars is going to support the entire operation there. At the end of the day its my fault for even belonging to such a.........well we will be nice. All they fall back on is “the contract, the contract, we can’t break contracts, we are following all protocols, I’m sorry you don’t feel comfortable coming to a gym, you can’t guarantee your home is clean, but we have a contract”

Positive experience: Many people aren't wearing masks yet the sign on the front said, no mask, and no entry..
Thank you Rudy. You do not need to wear a mask while maintaining social distancing when exercising or if an exemption exists for a medical condition. Members should have a mask with them for situations when social distancing cannot be maintained.
