Negative experience: Tldr Busy and not that bad when they arent spam calling you Usually really busy and they will spam call you for some reason. I was in a work meeting and I got a call back to back for a minute even after I declined calls several calls. I picked up to asked what they asked me about a class/training that they implied I attended but I've never done any of that so its extremely confusing on top of being annoying.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this gym for anyone. They make you sign a contract that is a problem to cancel later.
Negative experience: Very bad experience, please don't give them your credit card information or bank account information they will overcharged you even you cancel the membership, so be careful, hard time to cancel the membership if cancel they will over charged you on the rip off policy. NOT RECOMMEND

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many crunch locations, this one stands out because of Sam’s hospitality. He’s always helpful and accommodating when you need assistance with anything. I’ve started using the App after he helped set it up for me. This is definitely great location with good employees.

Fantastic experience: I have yet to share my experience at crunch , untill now that its been a year. I will say the staff are nice and the place is clean , multiple sets of equipment , rush hour is 5 to 7 so if you dont enjoy crowds . Then go earlier or later. Typically friday sat and Sunday are dead so def perfect time to go. The motivation the trainers give you is amazing. I dont remember his name but he made me feel good about the progress ive made over the past year. By far my fave gym and ive been to planet fitness and metroflex and just find crunch the best out of the rest.

Negative experience: Terrible experience and such a hassle to cancel when you need to. They are money hungry and I feel robbed having signed up. I’m still trying to cancel. Have to run through hoops. It’s ridiculous

Negative experience: I've been trying to cancel my membership with this place for six months—by phone, by mail, in person, and I've brought several signed cancellation documents—and they keep charging me. It seems like the last straw to have to cancel or close my bank account because of this lack of respect. It's as if I'm dealing with thieves.

Negative experience: After a year of not having a membership I finally get a membership here and I hate it. It needs to be updated. I get that it’s a gym but it never smells clean even at 5 am. You walk in and smell like sweat. And The women’s lock room doesn’t even have a full mirror.

Fantastic experience: I joined Crunch Fitness last week and initially selected the Hillsborough location as my home gym. Unfortunately, my first visit there felt underwhelming—no one acknowledged that I was a new member, and it felt like I was just another face in the crowd expected to know everything already. Today, I visited the Brandon location in my neighborhood, and the experience was completely different. Ms. Natalia checked me in and immediately recognized that I was a new member. She warmly welcomed me, asked if I had spoken with anyone yet, and took the time to connect with me personally. After my workout, she followed up as promised—she gave me a Crunch T-shirt, my member barcode, shared helpful information about the gym, and even set me up with a personal trainer. Thank you, Ms. Natalia, for making me feel like a valued member of the Crunch family. Your kindness and professionalism made all the difference!

Negative experience: I have been in 3 months in a row to cancel with Ben yet it still is a problem. I have been warned that they will send my account to collections however, the only option I have at this time was to close my bank account due to them continuing to charge me. I have followed all protocols as to close an account with them but, it keeps getting charged and their excuses are that it goes to the next months billing cycle. I have been told this 3 times now and still get charged. Do not get an account with them as it is impossible to cancel. I was also told it’s impossible to call HR to fix it. I have to rely on Ben and it’s not getting done.

Fantastic experience: Customer service is great here at night time (Mikey and Natalia). My home gym is Big Ben location but for the past couple of weeks I have been coming here. It’s just a different vibe and peaceful ✌️ Love the atmosphere here can’t really explain it. The staff is great here no issues since Lauren has been gone. Keep doing what yall are going here at this location.

Negative experience: The gym itself is fine. But whatever you do DO NOT ever sign up for personal training sessions. You will end up getting charge way more than you expect. My trainer advised me to renew our sessions because they were getting to an end and i did the stupid decision to renew them. Only to find out later that there is a recurring payment and the sessions were NOT going to end. So canceling the sessions turns out to be a big deal because of all the forms they make you sign. I know it was my stupid decision to take the sessions but they charged me for two types of different sessions for no reason at all. Waste of money and time

Negative experience: Cancelling a membership here has been a nightmare. I admit I joined prematurely. I had started a new job in the area and figured I can go on my lunch break. Well that never happened as i was extremely busy , most days skipping lunch and never had time. I live 1.5 hours away so unless I was working, I would not be traveling to workout. I have since quit my job and cancelling has been a nightmare, they give you the run around, don’t answer calls or emails, it has been like 3 months and finally got someone to get back to me only to ask me to send a certified letter in. I have never dealt with such extremity. Such a waste of my hard earned money. But have no one to blame but myself I guess for not being smarter about my decision to join.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at Crunch Brandon for a while now, but sadly, this location has really taken a turn for the worse lately. I’m there weekday mornings, and without fail, the men’s locker room is in terrible condition. The showers are consistently filthy, and it’s rare to find soap in the dispensers — that’s if the shower even has a dispenser at all. It’s clear there’s a serious management issue here. I also use the Crunch in Winter Garden on weekends, and the difference is night and day. The Winter Garden location is clean, well-maintained, and clearly well-managed. Unfortunately, the Brandon location just doesn’t compare. One thing that really stands out — they seem happy to reply to positive reviews, but the negative feedback goes ignored. That says a lot about how much they actually care about addressing problems. It’s a shame because the location is convenient for my commute, but I’m now looking for a new gym. I truly hope there’s a change in management at this location — they need it. I couldn’t even tell you who the manager is, and that in itself is telling. I wish I had something better to say, but I wouldn’t recommend this gym, and I definitely wouldn’t bring a guest here. Good luck.
Negative experience: I still come to this location because the staff and atmosphere are nice, but the maintenance on the equipment has been really lacking. Equipment is getting old and breaks down often and they take a long time to fix it, if at all.

Negative experience: When I visited Crunch Fitness to change my membership, I was met with incredibly rude and unprofessional service. The sales associate I spoke with dismissed me immediately and told me I couldn’t make any changes to my membership—without offering any explanation or help. The entire staff seemed uninterested and had a bad attitude, making the whole experience frustrating and disappointing. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority at this location.

Negative experience: Bad business practices. Unbeknownst to me, last January I noticed that I had been being over charged for years. I would have not noticed had they not assessed a new processing fee without the consent of any of their clients. I mailed them a letter with bank statements going back 3 years and they would not issue my refund nor respond. I am so happy that I canceled Crunch. They have bad customer service and no one can help with anything.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this establishment. I have been a member for over two years, and went in person on march 26th 2025. Me and my boyfriend both went in, and canceled our memberships due to moving. I was told since my payment had just come out the day before, nothing was owed. He had to make one more payment, which he did. We both signed on the card machine to finalize everything. One month later, I was charged $35 on April 25th. When I called in, they said there was nothing in the system showing I canceled. They told me to call back the next day to speak to Ben, the GM. I have called in a few times since then, and Ben is never available. I keep being told he can reach out to corporate, but that he is the only one and apparently is never available. Today I called in and spoke to Lauren. When I asked to speak to Ben, she told me she is also a manager and that he is not available. I explained everything to her and she told me he cannot reimburse or fix anything, and that no matter what, I would have to make another payment to cancel my membership. Even though my boyfriends was canceled successfully that day and the error was on their end, she refuses to help. She kept getting frustrated as we spoke, that I wasn’t taking her answer, even though I was being very polite and explained to her to put herself in my shoes, that I wasn’t just going to pay unnecessarily two more payments for something that isn’t my fault. I asked when Ben would be back, and she told me he was out of the store and had no idea when he would be back. I’m not sure why this is so complicated, for a massive corporation to refund my $35 and not charge me another $35, for something I canceled almost 2 months ago. I would not recommend this cheap gym, because of the hassle you go through when you move and need to cancel the membership. In my experience, if you want a cheap gym, planet fitness is much easier to cancel. Powerhouse is also similarly priced and in the same area.

Martin was incredibly understanding, professional, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find someone so willing to step up and truly help when others won’t. Negative experience: ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE GYM I HAVE EVER BELONGED TO. DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS GYM. I AM -$2k AFTER CANCELLING MY MEMBERSHIP 30+ DAYS AGO. THE MANAGERS ARE DUMB AS ROCKS. THEY HANGUP ON YOU. DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. YOUR BANK ACCOUNT IS NOT SAFE.
Negative experience: Worst customer service experience. I was using LA fitness from years but this gym was close to my place so thought to try so I applied for a day pass and got a call from a crunch guy in minutes requesting me to come and even got 3 more calls to take a look at the gym and the caller was very polite. As soon as I went there, Lauren at the front desk was extremely rude. She told I don’t care who called etc but I need the day pass mail print out etc. it was a just a minor matter of a 1 day pass but she made it such a big deal. I even requested to talk to manager but she told she is the only boss here. She was a most rude and disrespectful lady I have even seen in life.

Negative experience: Hands down, this is the trashiest and most shaddy gym you can go to, knowing that I have been to over 30 different gyms across the country I did the 1$ sign up to try this nasty gym but couldn't visit it more than twice because of the smell. When I decided to cancel i followed the recommended steps and reached out asking SPECIFICALLY to cancel (Ps: the platform where you send them your request doesn't snow save the messages or send you a confirmation, so you don't have proof). They ended up charging me over $100 in less than 2 months for a gym that is worth $5 a month The manager and owner should be ashamed of themselves

The equipment is various and well maintained, the staff are friendly, helpful and informed (shoutout to Ethan for some fantastic pointers and help!), and the environment is welcoming! Fantastic experience: Update: This is the best all around gym in Brandon with great staff that cares and listens to suggestions that can improve customers experience. The employee that opens during the weekdays always has a smile and ask, how you doing? An as you exit have a great day. An also Kyle attentions to detail and care in the overall success to the customer goal to improve. Last the manager here listens and make changes if it their ability to do it. This is not a bad gym at all and employees that work at this location are kind and helpful. It’s usually clean with the exception of the weekend s something but, my only real issue would be the lack of availability of locks present at 0500 in the morning. Only 3 lockers were available due to all the old locks being present. All the other locations have signs not to leave items overnight and locked. Im hoping management fixes this issue in the Man and womens bathroom.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Crunch Brandon. I brought my mother, who is visiting from Colombia, for a Mother’s Day workout and wanted to let her try the hydromassage bed afterward as a small treat. Instead of a warm or understanding response, a staff member named Lauren spoke to me rudely and told me to leave or cancel my membership just for trying to share that moment with my mom. There are different ways to handle a customer—this was the worst. Her attitude was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in empathy. Crunch promotes itself as a community, but this felt anything but that. I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome, and I’m now seriously considering canceling my membership

Fantastic experience: Love this gym! The night crew is the only reason I come in some days (Lauren, Natalia, and Tezz). This gym has become a community and second home for me. Equipment is top of the line and the staff is always on the floor making sure everything clean and put together. Absolutely love my home gym!

Negative experience: Where do I start? FITNESS CLASSES The fitness classes take place in the main section of the gym, not the closed off dance room. As a result 20% of the already cramped gym is often off limits. The instructor is given a microphone and proceeds to scream into it like she's drunk ordering from a McDonalds drive-thru at 3AM. It's so incomprehensibly loud that noise cancelling headphones only manage to reduce the volume down to that of an airport runway the day after Thanksgiving. EQUIPMENT The gym's equipment seems to have been selected haphazardly. While there are a number of treadmills, 4 bench presses, and 5 squat platforms, there's almost no other equipment redundancy. This means that during peak hours, you're going to be waiting around for equipment to become available, and most likely won't be able to get through your entire workout in a timely manner. Do you have a few favorite machines or specialized pieces of equipment? Rest assured, this gym doesn't have them. SPACE & ATMOSPHERE The number of people in attendance at this gym easily overwhelm the limited square footage of the facility. The entry wall is the only wall in the entire gym with a window, giving the gym a despairing, shadowed, and joyless atmosphere. ALL IN ALL Having been to at least a dozen Crunch locations, I can honestly say that this is the worst Crunch I've ever begrudgingly attended. If you have any other Crunch in your area, go there instead. 1/5 ⭐️

Fantastic experience: All clean and staffs are super cool, I’ve only been here twice, but lockers are spacious, and machines are well maintained. Kudos to the staff for keeping everything in place.

Negative experience: Update: canceled my membership. Be careful with them. The manager Lauren asked for me to email my daughter's BIRTH CERTIFICATE to them so they could have her "ID" on file. I just joined this gym and was really excited about being a member of Crunch because of the top of the line equipment they have, but I was not treated as a valued new member when I checked in with the General Manager, Stephen. I had already been to the gym once before and the girl that provided me with my key fob did not ask for a picture for my account. I got rained on walking into the gym and Stephen insisted he needed a picture on file. I asked if I could take one when I returned in my next visit. He rudely and sternly stated " if you don't take a picture on your next visit I'm not going to allow you to come work out". At the end of the workout with my 11 yr old daughter, I asked if there were two hydro massagers available. Stephen said he would allow it this time, but my guest would not be able to use the massager in the future. My "guest" was my 11 yr old daughter who also works out and runs track so is she not allowed to have a muscle recovery session with her mother?? The whole interaction with him was very unpleasant and was not a good v first impression of this location. I hope corporate reads this and requires employees to do mandatory customer service training. Great facility but how my daughter and I were treated at our last visit has me contemplating continuing my membership.
Positive experience: It’s alright, but some of the employees are so peer-pressuring and rude especially to new-timers. I just wanted to go show my friend around, but they weren’t committed yet. When we were leaving one employee was then asking where we work at and said “now you’re going to walk out that door”. Of course someone wouldn’t sign up if that is how they’re being treated at first! Not even like tough love. I don’t remember his name but he works around the 4:00 shift. I may just be sensitive but to do that to my friend is just extremely wrong. Another instance was being forced to do the Kick-Off session. At the time I’m writing this, I’m a HS senior worried about college and tuition. Even when I addressed these problems, Jason (I think) and Ethan still pressured me into another session. I don’t think it’s their fault; the gym might be doing a commission for every person they get on board so they’re doing what they got to do. But I’m not paying $58 every other week when I feel I can be working out effectively on my own.
Fantastic experience: I love coming here. Staff are good and facilities are good. Never had an issue. It feels welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I make sure to visit Crunch whenever I’m in town. The front desk staff is awesome! They make sure to give a warm greeting, the facility is always clean. Crunch is a must visit!

Fantastic experience: Great gym!! Trainers are excellent! Ask for Natalya if you’re serious about fitness or getting into shape , she’s been my trainer for 6 months, helped me work through a frozen shoulder and worth every dime!!
