Fantastic experience: East Point Rec Center at Jefferson Park is truly a gem in the community! It is by far the best recreation center I’ve ever experienced. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. My children absolutely love it here — from sports programs to summer camp, they’re always excited to participate and stay active. It’s not easy to find a place that checks every box for both kids and parents, but this center does just that. I love seeing my kids grow, thrive, and make new friends in such a positive environment. We’re grateful to have East Point Rec Center as part of our lives, and I highly recommend it to any family looking for a safe, fun, and supportive place for their children to learn, play, and shine!

Fantastic experience: The line dance class and crew was amazing. The attendees led by Happy Feet ATL with a Special visit from Bonnie was an unforgettable Golden Moment. The staff and facility managers were very cordial and accommodating. The exttacuriculum for the community and seasoned citizens, along with an After School Program is an absolute credit to County and township officials. The diversified services provided by the Jefferson Park Recreation Center deserves an impeccable standing ovation.

Negative experience: This is my first experience with East Point recreational center and I will NOT return. I was referred and really hoped that minimal expectations would be met. We are almost 5 weeks into the basketball season and my son, still has not received a uniform. My $85 (plus an addional fee for paying online) registration fee was paid back in September 2023. There is no reason why my child shouldn't have been uniform ready on game day. Not to mention the extra expense I had to pay for a blue shirt and shorts for game day because of them dropping the ball. Leadership (JC and Coach D) has completely given me the run around regarding a refund and is continuing to do so. The games NEVER start on time! This place advertised as the "Best Recreational Center in the World"....They are extremely FAR from the BEST if the people you serve has less than the best experience!! Find somewhere else to spend your time and money!!

Fantastic experience: Went here to vote. The people there were very helpful and friendly. It was clean and they did everything possible to make sure that everyone stayed safe. They were very understanding when I had problems with the stylus and got me well taken care of.

Positive experience: Went to vote today, the line was long and they where only taking five people at a time in. My machine stop and I had to go to aother machine to start over. All went well, finish voting. Very peaceful

Fantastic experience: I am a peewee league basketball coach at a different recreation center so i have alot to compare this to.. The intensity of there sports teams is unheard of. There are very advanced.. Great environment for young black kids especially. It shows in there level of play..i got to witness the 9&10 year olds championship games it was awesome. They had bigger trophies better jerseys. Just seemed more authentic. Great job !

Negative experience: Use to go there at least Monday-Friday before the operations changed for the worst. Meaning, I grew up in this neighborhood and Jefferson was always a great help in giving myself and others a place to go a release energy the positive way, by playing basketball, instead of running the streets and getting into trouble because there was no place to go. Last time that I went there, my 6yr old daughter was 2. I was required, along w/ my friends, to have a card just to play basketball and to stay out of trouble. I lost my card because somebody on the staff misplaced it and the replacement fee was $5.00 or so...that I was expected to pay. When no one thinks about what pain the community will suffer w/ no where to go instead of the streets. It's sad and I've watched people I know, that would always be a Jefferson hooping, are incarcerated and it happened when they would have been hooping, but there was always a reason why we couldn't hoop.
