Negative experience: My husband had this gym membership for work trips, and it’s been cancelled for a while. We were randomly charged an “unknown” $99 and $10 for no reason,they agreed to refund us (never did) and anyone we talk to acts like they are too busy to help. They just say “call back” I’m busy. Like oh sorry for making you do your job?? Zero professionalism and the workers clearly don’t care. Don’t give them your money bc they will take it!!

Negative experience: The billing practices for this gym are horrible and unethical. I canceled in writing per their instructions, yet they continue to try and bill me. My credit card company said they get lots of disputes from Crunch .

Fantastic experience: Great experience at this location. Nicole at the Front desk got me all set up and assisted with getting the app set up. Stellar service Nicole. Love it. I took Hatha yoga with Travis and man did he give a fabulous class. He spoke to all levels and also assisted me in getting into a pose ive been working on after class. The kind nature of the members was superb as well. Come to Crunh Bradenton. Im sure you will love it.

Fantastic experience: Just called to get info into joining the gym. I am very special when it comes to great customer service from greeting to tonality and I am taking my time to leave a review because the person who answered the phone call Nicole was extremely kind, profesional, polite and had a great conversation with all the million questions I asked. Coming from a gym where asking a question is like going to war I feel like just by the way I was treated with a phone call is enough to join this place over the last one I was at. Fantastic experience: Avory is literally the BEST personal trainer you could ever have. She is so much more than a trainer, she is a friend, a motivator, a supporter, and more. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer. The other staff is also amazing, always so fun and outgoing and overall a great gym. Also to add, Paul is amazing and helped me so much with any questions I had!

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym a little over a month ago, and it has become my home away from home!!!!!!!! All of the staff are so friendly, and I am OBSESSED with the HIIT Classes!!!! Fantastic experience: I've been to many gyms (big and small) over the past 20 years and this one by far has been the most accepting one! Not only are you greeted (most of the time by name) by all staff, they actually pay attention to gym etiquette. Great energy- keeps you coming back. And if you want the best trainer, ask for Suse. She has been my trainer for 6 months now and she is helping me become a stronger better me. One that doesn't want to ever quit! Do yourselves a favor and go to THIS gym!

Fantastic experience: Great location, great instructors and front desk staff, always welcoming to all patrons as they enter the establishment and depart! The location is an open weight and cardio gym with a separate boxing area , HITT area and new saunas! If you have not visited this location I highly recommend it!

Negative experience: What a wonderful gym. Absolutely fantastic, if you want minimal communication and for them to jump straight to collections then definitely believe their "we're not like other gyms" claims and trust that they have your gains in mind.
Negative experience: Don’t do it they are thieves and they don’t honor contracts been 3 months now and I still don’t have my shirt never been contacted about any of the classes I paid for they entered my accounts on days that they were not supposed to they monitor your bank account without permission and then if you actually get the chance to go to the gym you can’t even work out the way you would like the place is dirty and they force a contract on you that isn’t in the original agreement you sign they will violate your contract as soon as you sign don’t do it go to planet fitness they are a way better gym and crunch expect a lawsuit for breach of contract

Negative experience: I have been on and off with Crunch for years this last time leaving is due to broken equipment taking forever to get fixed and them cleaning the place has drastically went down hill. This location fired their daytime cleaning crew and has a “night time cleaning crew” if that’s true why was I able to get video and pictures of dust balls under equipment for over a week, men’s handicap stall was out of paper for days, bathrooms haven’t been cleaned, sauna has mold growing at the base of the wood, the only cleaning that has been done is by the customers cleaning their equipment after being used but same time not many ppl do that either. We pay this company millions of dollars a year but they want to say they can’t afford a cleaning crew or fire the daytime ones because they can’t afford them. I’m sure those employees was well under paid. Tbh it’s hard to find any gym that’s not expensive, that is clean and has equipment fixed. If you want cheap crunch planet fitness and amped are the best choices but don’t expect non broken equipment or cleanliness because so far every one I’ve been too is going to this trend. Btw some of the photos and or videos posted to this location is not the real location sauna picture by far not their sauna lol.

Negative experience: I have this business blocked specifically because of trying to make unauthorized charges like this. I haven't paid for 6 days and these are the charges that have been attempted. My outstanding (6 days late) balance is for 1 month. Beware.

Negative experience: My wife and I joined the gym in December and were very specific about being in town for one month. We loved the gym, but like most others - we are still getting charged months later. We have a signed cancellation agreement that Phil, the manager, personally signed. He was aware of our membership timeframe and said “you’re all good to go”. 3 months later with multiple phone calls and we’re still getting charged. It’s really unfortunate this is how you operate your business. You had a happy returning customer, but it looks like the people’s reviews are accurate.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership a year ago before I moved to another state as there aren’t any crunch gyms here. I’ve spoken to corporate about it and I have been waiting for the manager at this gym to call me back for months. They keep charging my accounts to where my credit card is maxed out and I had to close one bank account because they put me negative. (Corporate told me months ago I would no longer be charged. )If no one contacts me to cancel this so I can stop being charged I will be going to BBB.
Fantastic experience: Crunch Gym is hands down one of the best fitness centers I’ve been to! The equipment is top-notch, well-maintained, and there’s a great variety for every type of workout—whether you’re into strength training, cardio, or functional fitness. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help, creating a welcoming environment for all fitness levels. The group classes are high-energy and led by amazing instructors who keep you motivated. Plus, the gym is always clean, and the membership rates are reasonable compared to other gyms in the area. If you’re looking for a gym that’s affordable, has a great community, and keeps you motivated, Crunch Gym is the place to be! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Crunch Fitness upping rates by $6 dollars without notification or me signing off on it. In addition to me having to give 30 day notification to them for me to cancel is absolute bullshit. Poorly run operation don’t go there.
Negative experience: The gym itself is nice, good product. But I've had SEVERAL unauthorized charges attempted to be made. From personal training sessions u specifically said I wasn't interested in to double and even triple charged for a months membership. The kicker? No refunds. Once they've robbed you blind they won't return your money and insist on it being a credit.
Fantastic experience: My mom goes here and I was visiting for a few days and joined her for Laura Ann’s HIIT, cycling and stretch classes. She is AMAZING and is a wonderful instructor. I loved her energy and she knows her stuff. The stretch class was such a great way to finish off cycling class. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I’m from out of town so I was looking for a gym to do a quick workout. Anytime fitness wasn’t open early so I went to Crunch on 2/14/25. Jackie at the front desk gave me a free day pass that day. She was so sweet and easy to work with, def made my day! Best Valentines day ever! The facility has the equipments, I had trouble looking for barbell clips for my weights when I was squatting but the people there are friendly and a guy gave me his pair.

Fantastic experience: Just moved to Bradenton about a week ago, and I signed up for Amped and crunch fitness. I won’t say that one is better than the other, I will say that crunch has equipment that amped does not have and vice versa. This is why I like having two memberships. I signed up over the phone with their Special that they had going on, took me 5 minutes and cost me one dollar to sign up. Everybody was friendly I got to meet Ashley at the front desk and she gave me a few day passes to bring guests. It has everything you need, I love the fact that this gym has hammer strength equipment, which amped does not, it’s the perfect size, not too small, not too big. Plenty of cables, a very good variety of back, leg and chest equipment. The only downfall is, I would say that they don’t have a High row hammer strength and they don’t have a variety of calf machines, Also, the dumbbells only go up to 125 pounds, same as Amped. But you can’t win everywhere. This goes for pretty much every gym. I’ve only worked out here once so I’m giving this gym five stars for now, hopefully it stays that way. I see a lot of the bad reviews are for cancellation and cleanliness. I worked out at crunch fitness in Tampa about four years ago, and the cancellation was painless, you just have to be persistent. No, they’re not gonna let you cancel over the phone. You have to do it in person. If you bring a guest, yes they’re gonna ask them for ID, don’t get your butt hurt or offended, You’re not special in their eyes. At the end of the day, this is a gym. It’s not a five star hotel. I don’t expect the gym to be spotless, I expect to see dust, dirt, nose bleeds, people throwing up after doing squats and sweat everywhere I look. If you want luxury go spend $500 a month at equinox. But for $15 a month or even $10 a month is the lowest, you definitely get your moneys worth! It wasn’t that long ago that gym memberships were $50 a month (Or you had to pay the whole year upfront) until planet fitness came out and forced everybody to lower theirs.

Negative experience: I went there to check the prices and start my membership. A man give me a tablet to put my information. I was asked about my card and bank information. I was not comfortable to put my account information there. Why they want my card and my account information? I was talk to the front desk guy and he pressured me to put my account information saying you need to be committed with us etc. He asked me to get my account information on my cell phone. When I said I’ll think better about it he said “I appreciate you wasting my time” he was very rude. Now o know why. When they get your account information they never stop to charge you. I choose the monthly membership. I did the enrollment online. There you don’t need to disclose your bank account information. Definitely that guy don’t know how to be in a front desk
Fantastic experience: Lived in this area and used to hit up this gym regularly. Decent equipment, friendly staff that keeps the place clean and well-maintained, and a solid variety of treadmills and walking machines. Family-friendly with great annual membership deals. Make sure to ask about promo pricing!

Negative experience: Do yourself a favor and don't sign up for a membership here. The gym was fine, but when I called to cancel after moving to an area far away from crunch fitness, they REQUIRED I send them a LETTER to a po box. Is this the 1800s? Absolutely ridiculous scheme to keep you from canceling. Just save yourself the headache and workout somewhere else with a modern cancelation policy.
Negative experience: I hate to give this gym one star because I absolutely loved going here. I would usually go in the evening when it’s less crowded. I overly enjoyed the sauna and hydrotherapy massage bed. The only reason I needed to cancel my membership was due to an accident. Due to injury and doctor visits I could not go to the gym. I asked several times to cancel my membership because I was in a car accident, each time I wasn’t given any information on how to cancel. They continued to charge my card until I finally gave up trying to cancel my membership. I simply locked my card to prevent the charges. Now I have crunch on my credit report. They honestly need to be sued for dishonest business practices. A contract is not for a lifetime and no one should be required to may for something they NEED TO cancel or simply WANT to cancel. A canceled membership is not the worse thing in the world but for Crunch apparently it is.
Negative experience: They added the worlds worst treadmills. Nothing like sprinting and accidentally tapping this, making it stop immediately. It’s happened to me and my friends on multiple occasions. I see a bunch of injuries coming in the future from these.
Positive experience: Decided to come back and edit my star rating because I come here regularly AND ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE STAFF AND COACHES ARE ALL SO FRIENDLY HERE AND everyone actually says hello unlike other locations. ITS A GOOD FEELING

Negative experience: The new manager, Jaquelyn, and the team keep harassing me here at crunch fitness. They make it so difficult to cancel, and when you can't do it the right way, apparently, they keep the juice running on your membership. Apparently, i owe 170$ .. Well, they keep harassing me over this new debt forgiveness membership/ deal they have going right now. I have been called over 30 times as if crunch was a collection agency . They need to be careful. A couple of weeks ago, a team member named Will called on the phone, and I decided to hear what they were actually talking about. Will told me that for 3 payments, equaling 80$ total (I asked 5 times to confirm ) that i could reinstate my membership and they would eliminate my debt.. meanwhile, I could be going to crunch again.. Well, I didn't want the membership, nor do I like crunch. Very crowded gym with awkward vibes and meatheads working at the front desk. Will convinced me to give it a try, so I did.. I gave him my information, and he took a payment of 11$ and was supposed to send me an email with the receipt.. well, crunch is wading in fishy waters... They are so incapable of doing simple business.. I never received a receipt. Meanwhile my girlfriend calls me 30 minutes later furious.. apparently, they sent her a receipt instead of me , in her name, with her information instead of mine to her email... what the hell are you doing crunch? Wake up Wake up... The receipt showed a contract of payments equalling 130$, which is a far cry from the 80$ repeatedly promised by Will.. The manager Jackie/ jaquelyn was listening to will speak to me, and she heard him tell me 80$ several times.. How could stand by while your employee is lying to a customer and not do or say anything ? What does a manager do? She doesn't know what's she's doing. I spoke to her.. at first she was very rude ... when she found out that they were morons, she changed her tone.. she promised to make it better.. that she would get it all figured out and send a receipt with all the details, in my name, of course , not my girlfriends.. Every receipt she sent me had a total of 130$, and all were in my girlfriends name.. my girlfriend never was a part of crunch fitness, so it's odd to me... I spoke to Jaquelyn 4 times that day, and when she realized she was in over her head? She said she would get back to me tomorrow after talking to her uppers. She said she would call.. well, she never called back and sent me the same receipt with the wrong price on there and in my girlfriends name. Absolutely horrible customer service here.. I emailed Jackie several times, telling her to cancel my membership and leave me alone.. She never responded to my emails. She literally never tried to do anything to make it better. I called a lil later and spoke to a team member, told them my story, and canceled my new ( or my girlfriends) lol. I then canceled my membership within the 3 day cancelation period .. they initiated a refund, and even the refund didn't process correctly. You can be sued very easily if you do or say the wrong things while trying to collect a debt. Now that I'm all canceled, crunch is still calling multiple times a day to sell me that fraudulent membership package .. This last weekend, I absolutely snapped on whoever called and made it very clear to never call me again, that they were harassing me and that I had already had signed up for the deal and they were incompetent of doing business ... Well, 30 minutes after that call , I was called again by crunch lol these guys are not the brightest. I called back to reiterate that I'm not interested and to leave me alone.. Well, guess who answered? Jackie did, and without using her head, she said. You must be calling back for our debt forgiveness program ... Beyond frustrating dealing with these people. Today, I got an email from some big wig at crunch trying to sell me the same deal..
Negative experience: Employees are really pushy...I went in for a tour but the rates are kinda of high..not enough bathrooms for the amount of people.
Negative experience: Place is a Scam you can call and cancel and if the payment date is near they will not cancel it in time. Was out of town couldn’t come in to do it, Corporate doesn’t care either.
Negative experience: They will keep charging your card, then there is no one at the branch that can refund the money...Employees cant do anything about it, but get mad because your mad..do yourself a favor & Go to Planet Fitness...this place need to pay for their building and dont care who they take it from ...
Positive experience: I only go for the classes, which have been great! In 2 years I think only about 3 times they were canceled, that's not bad! The instructors have always been great! Especially Laurie she always takes extra care to make sure no one is injured and makes class fun!! The actual gym does seem very crowded in the pm.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t even go to this gym unless you are ready to be harassed by every employee to sign up for all the extras you told them you don’t want. They con you into a “free” workout sign you up for a personal trainer and charge you $1000 a week. I tried declining 5 months ago switched gyms and still being harassed by this company. And you can’t even talk to anyone that’s actually running the company only steroid junkie meat heads that don’t have an education.
Negative experience: Crunch should stop requiring guests to leave their ID every time and instead scan it once and save it on file or implement a similar system. I pay for the highest membership so I can bring a guest. Not being able to work out just because my guest doesn’t have their ID is unacceptable. The front desk informed me that he could only work out without his ID if he paid extra for a day pass. I asked why they needed his ID if he has worked out multiple times with me and checked in before. They said it was for safety reasons. But he can work out if he buys a day pass? This is a slap in the face. So, he can work out if he pays extra, but it doesn’t count that I already pay extra? This is unacceptable. Paying for a day pass to bypass giving them an ID is disrespectful. Because of this, I’ve canceled my membership
Negative experience: Avoid this place at all costs. They actively support their employees lying and scamming their customers. The CEO Jim Rowley is aware of the situation and will not do anything about it. They will unethically continue to charge your card after you cancel. Then they will block you if you make a comment that criticizes them on their social media instead of trying to defend themselves, which proves the criticism is correct.
Negative experience: Avoid this place at all costs. Crunch allows their employees to lie to customers and with continue to charge your credit after you cancel.

Negative experience: The person that receive us in the front was Nico being rude and asking to many personal questions he was saying if we didn’t have a job if we didn’t work out and keep looking how we were looking he was not it he was being to personal with the things he was telling us .
Negative experience: One of the workers constantly harassed me for being a guest and not joining right away. Told him no, I’m at another gym and was just trying this one out. MULTIPLE times. Not only did he not listen, but he was rude. I walked away and he even went so far as to follow me and hand me a free guest pass. Not impressed.
Negative experience: Nothing but judgment for "a judgement free zone" staff was terrible to me because I ended up homeless and that was the only place I could go to pass the days when I wasn't working almost 7 days a week and only got 1 hours of sleep every night cause I had to make sure I wasn't stolen from cause theirs alot of drug addicts in that area at night.i know it doesn't make sense to me either but im not paying to be harassed when I had other things going on.
Fantastic experience: Crunch is a great place to work out. It has a atmosphere for people of all ages and fitness levels. Trainers work well with all people. Everyone seems friendly and trainers work their people and also are encouraging. Love the hydro and trainers always spot for me so I can get my goals.

Fantastic experience: This location has Boxing and HIIT! These classes are amazing! Will try Yoga on Monday and Wednesday nights! Lots of new equipment and always a clean environment! Happy to have found this gym.

Positive experience: Excellent gym. Fairly clean. Never so crowded you have to wait. Tons of cardio choices. They sometimes have too many of one machine and not enough of another.
Positive experience: The gym isn't bad, wish there were more evening classes but the free training sessions were why I canceled my membership. I was supposed to get 2 training sessions which never happened. First time was double booked, second time they never showed up so the training manager was supposed to contact me and make sure i was taken care of... NEVER HAPPENED.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible do not join crunch if you ever want to cancel and have moved away thinking that you can cancel at a crunch near you you can't. It's impossible you literally have to go back to the crunch you signed up at and cancel. Or send a certified letter to corporate that they will never acknowledge. Stay away . 24/7 hr fitness is the place to go ! They allow you to cancel over the phone.

Negative experience: My son signed up under a “special” and was not told about an annual fee!! After 2 months he had annual fee and monthly fee taken out of his account plus a LATE FEE??? The money was taken out on the 10th the exact date the money is due? When speaking to the manager, he said he was going to refund my son the $10 late fee, but there was nothing he could do for the annual fee. Needless to say, he still has not returned the $10 late fee and multiple emails to the corporate office have not been returned also. My son has since canceled his membership and signed up down the road at Amped Fitness for half the price and no annual fee. I suggest you think twice before signing any membership with this corporation.
Negative experience: Good luck if you want to cancel your membership. I went in canceled in person and was told I’d get billed one more time. I have since been billed 3 more times including their anual fee and I don’t even live in the same state anymore. I spoke to a general manager DEBBIE HARRIS that promised I’d get my money back and proof that it has finally been canceled and I still have yet to get my money back or any correspondence these are very poor business practices times are hard and I need my earned worked money back

Negative experience: Nice idea letting one of your blonde white girl coworkers (couldn’t get her name) harass and try to flirt with a young man who came in with his brothers to simply work out. By the way he’s a minor, so I’m letting you know charges may be pressed due to her consecutively touching him after he said no multiple times, which obviously made him uncomfortable. All that because he didn’t want to do your guy’s pathetic little tour, I’m so sure he knows how a gym works. Don’t promote your place with seductive acts that don’t even work in the first place do better

Negative experience: The manager David is the rudest individual I’ve ever encountered. I called in explaining that when I initially signed up for my membership I was charged an full membership price and then two months later an annual fee that I was not informed of. The associate signing me up did not explain this to me. David did not like me over talking him so David disconnected the call twice and when I called the third time he decided to screen my call and not pick up. Now I’m being told I have to cancel the membership in person. It’s almost like they want confrontation. I ask to speak to someone over his head and he stated I could come in at 9pm and disconnected the call. Crunch gym is a rip off. Their equipment is trash and apparently so is the management team.

Negative experience: I bought a membership and then hired a personal trainer. Everything was amazing untill I needed to freeze my account for 3 months due to personal things. I told the trainer that I would like to go down to only one day a week for a hour instead of the 3 days a week I was doing once my account was unfrozen well 3 months go by and I was charge $280 dollars and when I reached out to the trainer and asked why I was charged that much when we agreed I would only be charged for one day a week sessions he gave me the run around. I asked for a refund and stated that that wasn’t the agreement he told me corporate wouldn’t refund me. I went into the gym and canceled everything so I wouldn’t be charged again and still no refund. I feel scammed and lied too. I tried looking up any corporate number or email and there is nothing online. The trainer new I wanted to go down to only one day a week once my account was unfrozen and I even asked him when the 3 months is up I will only be charged for the one day session right? And he said yes. I would not get a trainer from this gym. It seems all they care about is scamming hard working people out of money Edited: after going in and talking to a district manager and being promised I won’t be charged anything again today I was charge another 282. At this point this is just stealing momey

Fantastic experience: I personally like this gym. Great value and lots of equipment to choose from. There’s a sauna in the women’s locker room to enjoy as well. The classes offered are great and instructors are engaging!

Negative experience: sauna is always broken. every single time the men’s sauna is always, ALWAYS down. i don’t understand why they don’t just do rounds to make sure nobody is pouring water into the rocks or just ban those who are clearly not following the rules. not to mention we pay full price! i find it absurd we have to wait a month or two to get the sauna working for a day. ridiculous.

Negative experience: Don’t go to gym, They are the worst gym as a member I want to cancel my membership they want to charge me another month and whoever is Jason is not very helpful. I don’t recommend anybody go to this gym.

Positive experience: It's an okay gym, but there are definitely better options. Recently switched gyms and it opened my eyes. Staff is great but its usually super busy all the time and machines are damaged, rusty or just plain soiled. Not my first choice.

Positive experience: I would like to say I have been a member since day one. Some of the equipment is starting its age. But if you're a bit flexible with your routine you can get in a great workout. The place is usually crowded when I workout and they're always running membership drives. When I think they should try give us insensitive to stay. They also try to encourage members to pick up after them selves as you will have to pick up after them sometimes.
Fantastic experience: Got dizzy and almost passed out likely due to not eating breakfast. My Trainer Matt quickly recognized issue, got me comfortable and some Gatorade and the emt's quickly arrived to evaluate me. Grateful for the knowledge and care expressed by all employees. Kudos to Crunch and first responders. Breakfast now before next session.

Negative experience: I have tried several times to cancel my membership and there is always some hang up or excuse as to why my membership is not canceled. You have to go in person then the person you need to cancel with is not there...you have to give 30 days notice...employees do not go through appropriate steps to cancel your account. Make sure you take the time to sign a cancellation for your contract and get an email or else they will continue to charge your account. Keep copies of everything to verify that your contract is cancelled.

Positive experience: This gym is alright. They have most of the equipment I want but some of the stuff isn’t that great. The lockers don’t have digital locks like most gyms do, the floors were dirty, the sauna fits 4 people max and the gym was completely packed so you have to wait for equipment. For $15 a month you can’t really complain. People are very friendly.

Negative experience: They make it impossible to cancel so ur telling me in 2022 almost 2023 I have to come into the club to cancel? Like I went maybe one time because life has been incredibly busy and now all of a sudden I have to go to the club to cancel or send a certified letter? It’s pathetic I signed up online I should be able to cancel online. And they don’t even give you the option to download the contract on the website so you can view the terms and conditions very suspect if you ask me.

Negative experience: Steer clear of this gym. I moved city about a year ago and needed to cancel my membership. Of course they don’t allow you to do it over the phone or online like a normal business, so I had to go in and speak to the front desk, who confirmed they had cancelled my membership. Crunch then went on to continually charge my account every month, not responding to any of my calls when I tried to cancel and telling me to come in and do it in person. I have put stop payment orders on my bank account and they proceed to charge it double the rate from alternate accounts. Disgusting and predatory business practice.
Positive experience: Nice place. Good equipment. Very overcrowded from 5 to 7 during the week. Really unable to get a solid workout in.
Negative experience: Not visitor/veteran friendly. Deadlift platforms need repairs. Overall at this price point it's not a bad gym plenty of equipment it's clean and the people other than employees are friendly and welcoming. I would go to workx gym if you want a better experience.
